This small kit was a great pickup.
Would recommend if to anyone getting started with Resin printing.
Kit is small stacks together when not in use, and for the price its a good bit of kit.
Very simple and easy to use. The wand is useful for hollow models.
I’m clean, I’m cured, I’m happy
Job done
Seems pretty well made and does exactly what it says percent
Take the lid off whilst curing and the lights turn off and it bleeps, great safety feature
The wash has a lid that seals nice and tight to avoid spills, always good when chemicals are involved
Even a novice like myself found this product user friendly and I felt safe whilst using
Why four stars… the pricing seems erratic, if you can get it with 30 off then it’s a 5*
Over to you fellow 3D Printer folk
Excellent machine if you 1st going into 3D reain printing
I was worried about buying this bundle due to having seen lots of reviews that said the print washer broke after a few times using it. I almost went with the competing product from Anycubic, but then realised the dimensions of prints this set can handle are better suited to using with the Elegoo Saturn 2.
So I went off and did some research to find out what the problem actually was. It seems to have been caused by the spinning disc inside the base with the magnets on it. After a few uses the plastic part where it connects to the motor either comes loose or weakens and cracks. Apparently Elegoo support will ask you to tighten the screw that holds it onto the motor. For some people that works but for others it doesn’t because it’s cracked and can no longer be tightened effectively. I found one video on Youtube where someone had been in contact with support, sent them photos of the cracked disc and they sent him a metal replacement part which was much stronger and solved the problem.
I figured if they’re sending out metal parts as replacements then maybe they’ve started fitting metal ones by default so that future machines won’t suffer from the same problem. On that basis (and bearing in mind that Elegoo support would probably help me if it broke anyway) I ordered mine. When it arrived the first thing I did was take it apart to see whether the disc is plastic or metal.
I’m happy to say it’s metal, so hopefully all machines manufactured after mine, which I bought in November 2022, will have the upgraded metal disc and the problem won’t happen any more.
I’ll update this review if my machine breaks.
Oh and by the way both machines work perfectly and seem great so far. The little handheld UV torch could be handy too.
Washing and curing worked perfectly for a couple weeks before the washing impeller inside the tub failed and now spins very slowly for 1-2 seconds before stopping. Cleaned around the impeller with ipa and alcohol wipes to no avail, checked it can spin freely which it does but will still not spin fully. Curing setting will still spin slowly though
Amazing bit of kit, I got this for my saturn 2 and the fact you can put the whole build plate in the cleaning station is wonderful.
Easy to put together and even easier to use.
Honestly I can’t go back to my old
Method this cleans prints so so well !!!!
Use the item on many occasions already and have zero issues with any of it’s operations.
Honestly, when you start your adventure with resin printers you try to make shortcuts, as building your own uv chamber and is ok till you have THIS , I realised how amazing it is and how hood is to infest some money in that. Washing is cool but nothing too crazy but uv chamber is outstanding, cure in a minute
I have found this washing, curing station to be a better way to avoid the mess and fumes of using alcohol based cleaners. It does make it a much easier and cleaner task and while the machine is doing it for you, you can be preparing for the next stage. I have been surprised at the difference it has made for me.
Works just as you would expect. The quality for the price is brilliant and they look fantastic when setup together.
I have had mine since November it’s a great bit of kit!
The customer support is amazing, I had an issue with the power bank and they have sorted it with no problems at all.
Highly recommend!!
I was very pleased with the product. It effectively cleaned and cured all my prints and made the final products so much better. I had an issue with the power supply, but I contacted Elegoo customer support and they were incredibly helpful and helped me with the issue very quickly. It’s always nice when you find a product you like that also has great customer support.
Effective at its job, washes and cures parts just like it says on the tin. Looks good and come with all the bits you need.
One minor criticism is that the interface feels really “cheap”. I understand that it is cheap, but sitting next to my CREALITY Halot One, which wasn’t much more expensive, the switches could feel a bit less 1980s Argos Microwave.
There is an included mount to put your build plate straight in the wash tub. This is a great idea but does not fit the Halot One build plate out of the box (no real surprise). I have made an adapter which is now on thingiverse. That let’s you mount it easily, so feel free to check that out.
