My grandma used this, my mum used this, I use this, now my daughter does.
It does eveything you expect it to and more!
Dry skin smoother, cuticle conditioner, lip balm, eyebrow shaper.
One in my handbag one by the bed its been part of my routine for 40 years!
This is a product I’ve used for more than 20 years. It has a truly distinctive smell (not perfume) and I use it every four days on my face.
I have dry skin so I also use it around my finger and toenails. This is a traditional, well established skin care aid. An “oldie but goody”.
For years I’ve relied on this for dry lips, and rough skin almost anywhere. It’s great for the nose overnight if you’ve had a cold that leaves your nose sore from wiping. You can use a little to tame eyebrows too.
More recently I imagine it could be given as a jokey present for spare parts.
If you don’t have Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream in your handbag, you’re missing out. This stuff is a lifesaver! It’s perfect for chapped lips, dry cuticles, and any other skin emergency you can think of. Trust me, it’s a handbag staple you won’t regret having on hand.
I bought this when it was on offer and around half the price I normally pay on the high street. I love 8 hour cream – I’ve been using it for years and would recommend to anyone who deals with chapped lips. It can be a little greasy if using elsewhere.
I bought this after recommendation from a friend who had cut her face badly last year. Her skin had healed beautifully with hardly a scar in sight so I thought I’d give it a go on deep facial scars after an accident last month. I used it for the first time last night and this morning it was very noticeable that the redness had receded. I will update on progress.
A tried and tested old school classic that is a repeatable decided to have a cream from Elizabeth Arden is brilliant really really good stuff I can’t rave enough about Elizabeth Hawkins products , When something has been around as long as the 8 hr cream it with a very good reaso
I became aware of this cream from a certain ‘person’ on his book “Waaagh” having had the oddest case of frost bite which necessitated him needing to apply this cream on his old johnson. Being a female now entering the stage of menopause I figured if it’s good enough for the old ball sac of a sovereign, it might facilitate my homely features just as well. Thought process went that if it could bring that old boy back to attention it will surely have some face-lifting qualities in my face. Bought it. Didn’t fix a thing. I’m still butt ugly and jesus wept I can’t get the image of his todger out of my mind. Works very well on your elbows if you’ve eczema. 5 stars
I have been suffering with really dry skin over this winter and the hard water doesn’t help my skin. I have tried so many different moisturisers but if feels like they just sit on my skin. This has been around for ages and it was reduced to a great price. I have been using it at night for a week now and my skin is so smooth and actually feels moisturised. I have also used it on dry skin patches and they have disappeared! I will definitely be buying this again and again!:)
I wasn’t sure what this would be like when I bought it. It’s very thick and long lasting and is good for very dry skin. It has a Vaseline texture, so it’s not suitable as a moisturiser. It’s good for chapped lips and other very dry skin.
A family member has Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome and suffers with facial skin problems. She finds it is soothing and helps clear problems by using it as a night time moisturiser.
After buying one for her I bought myself a tube too. I love it. Apparently it is good for skin anywhere on the body too but I use it in the mornings as a facial moisturiser. It leaves skin soft and fresh feeling.
I know that there are some negative reviews about the fragrance and I think it is lovely. A bit like a spa smell.
It feels a bit sticky on application, like petroleum jelly but absorbs quickly. Any surplus goes on my neck.
So happy I bought a third tube so I don’t run out.
I was recommended this product after undergoing different tattooing treatment. My therapist recommended it for its healing and skin protection properties. Keen to look after my new tattoos/PMU I bought a tube and have use it pretty much every day since! It does indeed protect and hydrate your skin and heeled my tattoos perfectly! No itchy, irritated period! Magic!
It is half way between a cream and a gel and it very heavily textured, thick and sticky. It smells slightly medicinal, which I don’t mind but if you are sensitive to fragrance, they do a fragrance-free version (I have not tried this one so cannot attest to it being as good as the original)
It is kind of sticky and glossy which means a little bit goes such a long way, be careful not to use too much!
The cream itself is fantastic. A real does all miracle cream. I have found it is particularly great for dry and flaky skin, uneven skin tone/redness, tattoos/healing skin, mild sunburn/sun exposure and (oddly enough, but I promise you it works) eyebrow styling! As strange as It sounds it can act as the best eye brow gel! It holds them in position and adds a subtle healthy sheen to them. It has to be better for them than powders and heavy make up eyebrow gels! Wouldn’t use anything else on them now, apart from a little bit of cream on an eyebrow spooley and I never thought anything would replace my gimme brow from Benefit!
Great price, great amount of product, attractive packaging. 100% satisfied! Would buy again!
This cream has been a real eye opener for me – literally ! Over the summer my eye lids and the skin around my eyes became extremely red and flaky and very sore. I assumed it was really bad hayfever but as it persisted through to September I decided to seek advice. My doctor told me it was eczema and I should use a steroid cream for a week which I tried only for the symptoms to flare up as soon as I stopped using the cream. I went to the opticians and was diagnosed with Blepharitis. It can occur at any age and accounts for 1 in 20 eye problems.I was told that the condition cannot be cured but can be controlled with a routine of bathing in hot water for 15 minutes and washing in baby shampoo. This tedious process took up half an hour of my day and did not make a great difference. I read on a website that someone swore by EA 8 hour cream and thought I’d give it a go. Within 2 days (morning and night application) my symptoms were gone ! I use it sparingly whenever I feel a tingle or my eyes look red and I’ve been symptom free for over 3 months. Couldn’t tell you what it’s really supposed to be for but it’s been a real help for me.

My wife uses this for sunburn and it’s really good. I know cause I nicked some and takes the sting from sunburn away.

Always a winner. Great all round cream. Would buy again. Great price too.

Getting dry itchy patches of skin , now in menopause and this worked very well , to help.
Nothing was working, it’s a bit pricey but does the job!
