Brilliant little light well worth the money, better than a lot of high end lights. My tomatoes love it and customer service was brilliant in responding and resolving my concerns.
For the price this is brilliant. I just bought it a round a month ago and it’s doing great much better then my other’s. Will buy agai
In fairness, it is not something out of this world but it is doing the job. I got it ordered fast when my main light got broken and it did the job to sustain the growth. All the indoor growers should have a backup light just in case the main one fails you at some stage and it needs to be taken into account…. by the way…. why your car has the spare wheel? :))))) same principle. So, it helps, it is working well for over a month, it’s fan is going well, it has all the fixings, dimmer etc… so… for the small grow tent light, I can recommend this, even more, please all, just get one emergency light in case your main one gets faulty and this unit can do all it seems. My main light well branded (it stopped to work with the dimmer) got sent the dimmer box from the distributor first, had to fix it myself and never worked, then they sent me the new driver (fitted it myself so no waiting time) and it worked and the problem was solved but in the meantime (it took several weeks for ‘THE BRAND’ to respond, the FECIDA really saved my project. Those all look fairly same competent, you can get a top notch light faulty or get a light doing the same job for less and it won’t break. All those lights like to use LG or Samsung LED, mostly have same features and capabilities. We are all different but we all have their own brain and mind and choose what is best according to theirs ‘views’, ‘needs’, ‘wishes’,’requirements’.
…therefore has a non-unity power factor (inductive load) and may not work properly with some digital timers. Check the “Inductive Load” power rating for your timer!
iv had 3 of these now. (Non have failed I just love them).. the results speak for themselves.. the design truly does mean they stay cool at what ever % they are set to.. iv stacked these up next to some of the best l.e.d lights for non commercial and these come in on top.. yes the 800 model my friend has is better.. but it was 800.. if I got 8 of these its around the same energy draw and double the space I can cover.. plus they keep throwing in extra bits now lol.. yoyo clips, hanging hook etc.. all in the box…genuinly, just get the friggin light.. ull thank me!
I like the look and that it is not too heavy. Plus the supporting cables are adjustable making it very easy to use.
Maybe I was not working it right but my cabbage seedlings leaves turnt yellow then shrivelled up.
To happier moments the Fecida range can be highly recommended, my first purchase of the Fecida 600(1000w) is going strong. From a seedling breaking surface to flourishing vegetation at three weeks they do an excellent job They seem well made and light weight due to the allumium casing and easy to position.
I keep my light height above the canopy at 16″ presently, and prefer to take light reading measurements. I use the photone app for Apple mobile ‘phone which you can download free. I paid for the extra PAR full spectum for LED add-on around 4 + something. I take a reading from the canopy through the front camera lens. Presently I have adjusted the light dimmer for a reading of approx’ 385 ppfd I have perfect growth no leaf scorching or thin leggy plants reaching for the lights. General PPFD (PAR) readings are:- seedlings/clones/mother plants from 250 – 400 ppfd. Vegative 400 – 600 ppfd & flowering 600 – 900 ppfd. I hope this info will help it will save hit & miss. The accuracy of the app has been compared to the most expensive PAR meters and is very close.
I was impressed enough with the Fecida grow lamps which prompted me to go for the latest model.
Update: 8th Dec’2021
Everything has come right in the end – my frustrations were short lived. The lovely Anna
at Fecida resolved the problem and all is well. Fecida bends over backwards to keep their
customers happy; their service is second to none. It is unfortunate that Amazon’s help section
does not cover all problems that a customer encounters. It is now evident that the item on offer
sold out and became unavailable. However, Amazon on the whole do a great job, and I am a happy customer.
Brilliant lamp for a small grow space, dimmer switch is great for vegging period to prevent twisted leaves and when flowering the plants soak up the rays to produce very big and healthy cola’s at 100%. Easily hits the specified light spectrums and intensities as advertised.
It took minutes for my plants to perk up and start praying to the sun god I’d just installed – replacing a previous sun-like Bozily 300w LED (60 true watt, also from Amazon) which performs great at vegging but not something you want to rely on for big fragrant flowers in the long term. The FECiDA 1000w (120 true watt) is twice the wattage from the wall as the Bozily but easily 3 times the performance. Very similar results from my own brightness tests to those reported on the ad and flowering should yield more than impressive results on a per watt scale. The cooling fan is very quiet and is barely noticeable when at full power. Overall generates very little heat.
Very sturdy design and comes with a very and useful cool adjustable hanging mechanism on top of your standard 4 metal wires.
If I had more space I would definitely look at this brand again especially since you can daisy chain their lamps. Another great feature at this price point. Very happy with my results altogether. I wasn’t sponsored for this review, this is for the budget hunters out there looking for growing results like the pictures on the seed package show you and grown in a relatively small space.
Easily best value for money grow light in its range on Amazon at the moment and if long-term results continue to impress I will be happily purchasing another or upgrading within the brand.
UPDATE:
I did find this light a little hot in my tiny grow tent (40x140cm) I could have obviously turned it down a little.. But I was not sure if it was the efficiency of the leds so I got a light which said it is samsung and meanwell driver expecting it to outperform the fecida or at least match it but it was at 40000lux in same position as the fecida not quite enough for me.. at the height I need it to be at….. And sure it was not as powerful at 100w vs 120w but it couldn’t reach 65000lux in the same position wit the fecida at 80% which is about 100w worth of the 120w it has, then it is using about the same watts as the samung.. SO.. The fecida actually I prefer as it has the dimmer knob, the samsung one didn’t which was annoying. but then I found it couldn’t output the same lux as the fecida! at 2.7 umol instead of 2.2umol I wanted to see the comparison.. I guss that tiny change in the umol/j doesnt count for much and samsung led are not the only led worthy to grow with in the known universe (which is how some grow snobs act). I reckon this fecida is pretty much the same efficiency as the samsung. in practical use. But it also has the dimmer knob, its very light and the fan in the middle is actually good for a tiny grow tent to keep air flow moving.. Sure it gets a bit hot but I could always turn the brightness down and move it closer. I am going to buy a proper lux meter instead of using the app on my phone, as I think the app maxes out at 65,000lux I might actually be getting over this with the fecida!! It is def over 100 watts so not lying about 120w, that extra 20w really gives it a bang!! So cheap and actually seems to perform as promised, it outperformed my expectations!
I bought this to help some plants that I’m trying to over-winter and that were really struggling, and to prevent early sown tomatoes and chilli plants getting too leggy.
The over-wintering plants are already showing a marked difference –
A thunbergia has lots of new growth and flowers.
A passion fruit plant has also put on lots of new growth.
A variety of pepper plants (chilli & capsicum) have started to develop new shoots, and flowers.
I have other similar plants that are on south west facing window sills that by comparison are dormant.
Too early to say how the early seedlings will fare.
Wish I’d bought it earlier for the over-wintering plants, never had another to compare against, but it is very brigh
I ordered one and it arrived the next day in plain packaging. The unit itself is slightly larger than a piece of A4 paper, and is quite light due to its aluminium construction. The light itself is very impressive when you turn it on. The fan looks like a standard exhaust fan that you’d find in a pc case, and is relatively quiet, but not silent. I don’t think passive cooling would have been an option in this unit as there are just so many LED’s packed into a relatively small space, though it doesn’t seem to generate that much heat.
Within four weeks of growing under the lamp, the plants had grown more than they had in twelve weeks of growing outdoors, and there was so much vegetation growth that I needed to purchase a second lamp to keep an even distribution of light.
The decision to purchase the same lamp again was made much easier by the fact that you can daisy chain these lights together, using only one power outlet. The plants are now well into their flowering stage, and look like they will deliver a substantial yield. In fact, they’ve been so successful, I wanted to get a jump on the veg stage of another variety, and have purchased a third lamp, and this has reduced the veg stage to just four weeks before flowering, which is impressive.
Each unit comes with its own dimmer switch, which can be adjusted independently when used in daisy chain mode. Very handy when you have plants of varying heights, and also lessens the need to have the lights on a ratchet, though mine still are as one plant won’t stop getting taller — currently at six-foot! In all, I’m very impressed with this unit.
I could not be more satisfied for the few hours it is running.
First it came from Amazon Prime in less than 24 hours and considering the situation for my plants and the remote place where I live that was pure blessing.
Second the lamp was safely packed and once taken out of packaging it feels really well constructed and assembled, with a lovely display of leds. It looks and feel Hi Tech.
Third.. it is light, I think its weight is around the half of the same dimension ones I had in the past probably due to the nice alluminium chassis.
Once turnt on the first thing to notice is how silent it is and then comes the curiosity about how bright it is, I would be curious to mesure it with a third party kit because at 100% of the dimmer it is impressive.
After several hours then, I could notice an immediate reaction in my plants, sign that the brightness is made by the right wave lenghts and being the first time I buy a full spectrum one it is good news. Really tiny amount of heat produced and this lamp would be the perfect solution for stealth growing in tiny spaces considering dimensions, brightness, silence and safety. The double driver then makes it sound like a reliable one but after my experience I think that once evaluated the harvest I will possibly invest in a back up one due to the affordable price.
Really happy both for the choice of lamp and for Amazon service.
I’d been looking at a ton of lights before buying. Watched every review on YouTube.
I already own their older type light and they were brilliant but I wanted a quantum board type light as well.
Looking between the mars hydro ts600 and the spider farmer and hlg lights there was no question. This had UV bulbs and a dimmer switch which the mars models don’t have. The other two did have the extra options but at nearly twice the price 150 instead of 80.
The size is perfect, will fit the space I have nicely. The daisy chain function is a bonus. Only need one timer for all the lights not 1 timer for each light, and the dimmer switch means no more messing around with a ratchet.
Had the light meter under it and it read 85,000 lux at the canopy level. Which is incredible, putting the same meter in direct sunlight on our hottest day this year only managed 95,000. 85,000 is incredible.
Really happy
