Happy enough with the watch, app etc unfortunately, the watch keeps going off, leaving me with no functionality and black screen, I had to Google this problem as, you don’t actually get any kind of set up/trouble shooting instructions in the box. If you are wondering or, you are having the same problem, hold all three buttons down simultaneously to re-boot the watch
I like this watch because it tracks your exercise and hours of sleep and calories consumed, Since I have purchased this watch It has encouraged me to be more active and helped in my goal to lose weight!
I purchased this after the ionic recall with the refund I received from Fitbit , I did some research and the best smart watches around was the Fitbit versa , the software is identical to the ionic and the Versa doesn’t do anything more than any other Fitbit I’ve had before ??!
Only real plus point was the battery life , way better than expected and charges quick too , I did a 14 hour hike using the built in apps and had plenty of life left at the end , the ionic wouldn’t have lasted the day !
The strap that comes with it isn’t great however there’s plenty of after market ones which are cheap and decent quality too
I bought this Fitbit for my wife’s birthday, as an upgrade from an earlier model. Although the screen and functions are superior, the battery life is extremely disappointing. She is only able to get around 2 days between charges. I have a similar ‘cheap’ smartwatch which runs 7 days before recharge (for only one fifth of the price).
The first versa I had wasn’t working properly and after an on line chat it was replaced FOC. The replacement works fine and covers the basics I need. Ie sleep records are important to me and steps. The versa is fine for this. With lockdown I have not been to the gym so do not know how it will work during a workout. The battery life is good but not as good as the Charger Fitbit, I had previously but all in all I am pleased with my purchase.
I recently bought this product on a sale price. I have been looking for a smart Watch for quite some time and when I saw this I couldn’t resist. From the moment I received the packaging in the post I could tell that the product was high quality. It was an extremely durable box with a nice and neat design at the front that was quite appealing. As I opened the package i could see the watch. The pebble felt strong and durable and the strap was a sturdy silicone style material which I found extremely comfortable to wear. It came with the charger and a second strap for larger hands. However I was disappointed to see that there was no specific instruction manual on how to use or set up the watch however after a quick charge (100% cant have taken longer than an hour) I set the watch up via the app. The watch can have various apps and clock faces added via the app and you can set up notifications and Fitbit pay (use your watch to pay) which is an amazing feature. The notifications of this watch are really good as they are similar to phones and easily accessible on the watch. Another feature is that you can answer calls from the watch.
Overall, I believe that the Fitbit versa is a remarkable everyday watch which can be customised with various straps (if bought) and I would recommend it due to the high quality of the product.
I have been using Fitbit for 4 years and from my experience the products they provide are very reliable. I started with a Blaze and moved onto a Versa in 2018, so I’ve had this product for 2 years now.
In that time I have had no problems. The swim function works fantastically, the straps are a little fiddly but okay, and it tracked everything I needed without hassle.
I have just bought a second as a replacement because, as with all tech, this item has a lifetime of around 2 years. So it wasn’t too much of a surprise when it died this morning (Jan 11 2020) after 2 years of solid use. The screen had come a little loose due to use and water seeped in, ruining the screen and killing the components inside. But as I said, it’s old tech and really did the job I needed to so I am fine with buying another.
Keep that in mind when purchasing, though.
Positives:-
Ascetically attractive, bought with the fabric violet colour strap but also purchased a white silicon strap and prefer the look and feel of this especially for sport. Also purchased a very nice rose gold strap but not used this yet as like the white one so much.
It’s a slim and light weight sports watch, much slimmer than many other more expensive sports watches
Bought when on offer on a amazon prime free trial saved lots of money off the price as well
Very easy to instal the Fitbit app on my mobile phone and the Versa sincs and works well with the app.
It’s very motivating to receive ongoing prompts reward badges and fitness feedback with weekly reports emailed via the app. Much more than a step monitor, it sincs to the app on my mobile phone and monitors, distance, calories, time, heart rate, whilst cycling or other exercises. Mainly use mine for cycling, outdoors but also on my exercise bike. Definitely helped me become more active and lose a stubborn last few pounds to get to my goal weight over past three months.
Very easy to use and many of the features are great. Really like that it monitors sleep and also gives an age comparison fitness score. Would buy again and can recommend, only negative is the app does sometimes resend old emails to my Versa watch which can be a bit confusing. The battery life is excellent, often only needing to recharge at 5 day intervals.
I wanted a watch to help me track my progress as I was trying to get back into shape. This one does exactly that while lasting 4/5 days. It’s super focus on fitness and health and which is exactly what I need, so not too bothered if it doesn’t have loads of other types of apps. My main complaint is that fitbit software (don’t know if it’s “talking” between watch and phone) or the Android phone app that seems to have some bugs/connection issue at times. I’d say it seems to work great for some days and then you need a restart of phone/bluetooth or the watch to make everything work great again… this also seems to work on and off depending on software updates… I.e. rev A might be a bit buggy, revision B seems stable, Revision C provides new features but is now a bit buggy again… It’s just not consistent with what you would expect from such a well known company in terms of software. I would say most people probably don’t care, but restarts/etc seem be require too often for it not to be annoying… However, as I said the watch is great and really well made, perfect for people wanting to track or improve their exercise regime and sleep.
I have been a Fitbit user in the past and came back to Fitbit for the Versa, due to it’s large face. Only negative so far is the same old Fitbit problem of skin irritation/infection, which on me can be quite a problem. This is the reason I gave a 4 star rating. I have to take it off if doing something like gardening on a hot day as sweat, combined with soil, is not a good combination. This is annoying, as of course my activity is then not tracked. Hopefully one day Fitbit will address this problem. I like the fact that you can change Versa straps, as my old Fitbit tracker strap was fixed and came unstuck after only a year and that was the end of that Fitbit!
I’ve used heart monitors and smart watches before but always found them slightly lacking a feature or two. My main reason for checking out a Fitbit was due to having a Charge previously but I wanted more features, namely music control. This covers it all. Sleep monitoring is good, heart rate is accurate and steps are in line with my phone. The music function is great, you can store music on the watch os use the watch itself to remotely control music on your phone. This is ideal for me as I can change songs and volume on the watch and not have to get my phone out of my pocket all the time. It also has an alarm feature (you can set multiple alarms which is good for my medication etc) these alarms are silent t and the watch vibrates. There is also a medic alert feature in the phone too so if you have a disability or condition you can log it on there should it be needed in an emergency. You can also get weather on the watch and use it to tap and pay for things. The app is very good and syncs to your phone and watch really nicely. It is costly, but you get good quality for your money. There are loads of steaps and faces you can personalise the watch with and it’s very light to wear. Previously I had tried cheaper alternatives, but there was always something missing. This is the best fitness watch I’ve had so far. Recommended.
The watch is brilliant. My husband has an Apple Watch and I think my FitBit is better. Looks great too.
However, beware the strap. I have never seen such a badly designed thing – almost impossible to change (it took me over an hour to change to the bigger size – in fact, I couldn’t, and then struggled for the same length of time to put the smaller one back on again). When I gave up and ordered a non-FitBit strap, we couldn’t get the FitBit strap off the watch – it was only using pliers and goodness knows what that we managed to get it off at all. The replacement (non FitBit strap) is great by the way.
So, I’ve taken a star off for the very poor strap design. However, the watch is fabulous.
Having used this for a couple of months I know feel I can write an honest review.
Prior to purchasing the Versa, I had an Alta but wanted to upgrade.
The screen is easy to navigate and responds well to touch. I find that I don’t need to use the 2 buttons on the right hand side much- I tend to swipe to what I want instead.
I like the capability to log a range of exercises and use this function regularly. I’ve noticed that when I use the treadmill that the stats on my versa and on the treadmill are roughly inline with each other.
The sleep tracking works well. Not sure how much of a benefit it is to me but it’s certainly very interesting!
I have had issues with receiving notifications for texts and emails as the link keeps dropping out even though the phone and versa are still synced. Using the Fitbit forums I have found the quickest way to solve the problem when it occurs- but not a way to stop it happening. (I have a Samsung s9)
I don’t use the music function as I don’t have bluetooth headphones.
Obviously it tracks steps well, as well as heart rate. I find the heart rate tracker useful when exercising to see which ‘zone’ I am in.
Battery life is as stated- up to 4 days depending on use. I’ve squeezed 5 out of it once, and never less than 4.
Overall I am very pleased with my Versa and would recommend it as an upgrade from an alta or as a first Fitbit tracker.
I bought this on sale, just after Christmas 2018. At first, I was a bit dubious. It only retained a charge for two days, rather than the advertised four. After a couple of weeks, it started behaving erratically, and finally the display went blank. I contacted Fitbit support, who were quick and helpful. Because I’ve been in IT for a looong time, I tried to give complete descriptions of what was wrong, and what steps I followed to rectify the problem. They determined that the device was faulty, and sent a replacement within three days.
The replacement watch is just what it should be. It holds a charge for four days, reports on my activity and has a wide variety of watch faces and a reasonable number of apps. I am very satisfied with it.
I do suspect that it over counts my steps, and over estimates calories, but that’s common to most tracking apps, so I don’t mind.
Pro’s: great watch, looks nice, great display and good to have all the stats I want displayed on the screen. Haven’t had the need to use it for music.
I enjoy having the prompts to remind me to walk when I’ve been sat down at my desk for a while.
It’s great to have my work email synced as meeting reminders will pop up to remind me when I’m away from my laptop.
When I have the phone on vibrate, its good to get the calls on the screen in case my phone is in my jacket.
Cons: The pin I had for the strap was damaged. I really struggled to try and get it in place. Luckily I had ordered a stainless steel strap at the same time and that came with extra pins. I didn’t bother using the standard straps.
Also, it took a while for it to connect to the wifi even though I was sat right next to the router.
I find that if I walk out of Bluetooth range it often won’t connect back and so the details in the fitbit app won’t sync. I end up having to reconnect the Bluetooth or restarting my phone. Not sure if this is a watch or phone issue.
(As someone with pretty small wrists I included photos to show what it looks like to other small wristed people – it looks very nice so don’t be worried)
I love fitbit but I was a little worried about getting this because of the mixed reviews.
But oh my, I love this thing so much, it is such an upgrade from my Altra HR and for the price I don’t think you could get a better fitness oriented smart watch.
It looks stunning (some have said it feels cheap – I personally don’t think it does, the screen is really vibrant and nice and it feels elegant and light). The straps are the biggest pain ever to get on the first time (you will lose the will to live for a few minutes), but after doing it a couple of times it’s incredibly quick and easy, so don’t worry about what others have said.
The user interface is really well styled and easy to use, and it’s nice to be able to choose your clock face from such a wide selection (even though most are pretty bad, there are a few gems).
I’ve not had any issues with screen black outs, connection issues or syncing. The first sync/installation only took about half an hour – other people may have had sync issues if they moved their phone away from the device or didnt have it on charge.
You get a lot of information on the device (pretty much everything that you can see on the app plus a lil more in some areas, only excluding women’s health I believe)
The Fitbit coach was the selling point for me and this feature is brilliant, really wonderfully designed and a great way to get you motivated and the free exercises are pretty good if not a lil limited, but the paid stuff is fantastic.
The only thing I was quite disappointed about was the Fitbit pay feature. If you’re buying from the UK the number of banks that support Fitbit pay are incredibly limited and neither of the banks I use (Monzo and HSBC) are supported. However they say they are bringing in more banks every month.
I love my versa, I had a charge hr then a blaze but this one is much better than both of those. I bought the rose gold and white which looks lovely, there are so many watch faces to choose from, i haven’t managed to look through them all yet, some of them cost money but a lot of them are free, it will easily last 3+ days before it needs charging and I use the notifications which I haven’t had any problems with.
I do have a Huawei p smart which is not a supported device but I have downloaded an app to my phone called sync fix for fitbit which works perfectly, I used the same app for my blaze as well and I get all my notifications and phone calls on my watch.
It cost around 3 I think and that is a one off payment which is well worth it if your huawei phone is not working with the versa.
The alarm on the blaze would only buzz 3 times then stop but on the versa it is much stronger and it keeps going until you turn it off which is so much better, you can also set the vibration to stronger if needed through the watch settings. I have read that the screen can be scratched easily so I did buy some screen protectors in black and clear, I have taken a photo of the clear one I have on my watch which is really nice, it covers the whole watch so it protects the sides as well. It’s hardly noticeable and so easy to take off to charge. I have thin wrists and this looks so much better than the blaze which looked quite bulky due to its size but the versa fits much better.
All in all it is a really nice watch and a great upgrade from my blaze.
I am so impressed with this Fitbit in all areas!!!
Battery, amazing! 4-5 days before needing a charge, I guess this would depend on how many times you use the screen etc, but I have my alarms set on this, I use the coach for the amazing built in 7-minute workout, timers through out the day, the relax app, reminders, notifications from my phone of calls, messages, Snapchats and WhatsApp, I check the weather and use the exercise tracker too, not to mention the sleep tracker and 24hr heart rate. It comes with a handy charging dock, and you can still use the watch whilst charging.
Using the iOS app on my phone, I have personalised the screen by changing the clockface, I currently have a festive christmas clockface, there are so many of these and the best bit, LOADS are free too!
It came with 2 different sized straps, made of a durable and comfortable resin, and very easy to change.
I have had other Fitbits in the past, as well as a SHINE, but hands down, this is a winner by far.
I was lucky enough to get this watch on Cyber Monday and got an absolute bargain with 60 off the RRP
This is the perfect watch for everything from a swim in the pool to a walk in the park.
I bought this Fitbit during the black Friday sale when it was reduced and after having for nearly a week, I am not disappointed. There are many great features of this watch but also a few small problems.
Firstly, this watch has an excellent battery life. With moderate use, it can last between 4 and 5 days! The step counter is very accurate and the heart monitor is on throughout the day which allows you to measure physical fitness. The app is very ergonomic and quite easy to use – although I did have a syncing issue which was quickly resolved through a restart of the watch. I haven’t explored the app store too much but there does appear to be a decent variety of apps.
In terms of negatives, I was a little disappointed that you can only link Deezer and Pandora since I use Amazon Music. The supplied charger is also quite cheap looking and doesn’t really have the premium feel like the watch does. Finally, it would be nice to be able to receive phone notifications on the watch instead of just fitness notifications.
In conclusion, I was quite happy with the product, given the price, and I knew that buying with Fitbit would guarantee a reliable product. Unlike the Garmin range, the Fitbit is not just specialised for running and allows you to select lots of different exercises and work outs. I certainly recommend this product as a contender if you are looking for a smart fitness tracker.
I love my new fitbit versa. I was worried about buying one because of all the negative reviews, but I have been lucky so far and have had no problems with mine. I used to have a really cheap unbranded fitness tracker, and I thought that was good for tracking steps, workouts, sleep etc. But the versa is so much better. It automatically shows the time when you lift your arm to look (My old watch was meant to do that, but didnt) easy to use apps like the weather and exercise. My favourite thing is how it syncs up with the My Fitness Pal app on my phone. Before the summer I was using MFP to track my diet and calories, and my old fitness tracker for exercise and steps walked. I lost weight quickly enough, but I was always starving and miserable. So it’s not surprising that over the last few months I fell off the wagon and put on half a stone really quickly. I haven’t been able to find the motivation to get back on the wagon. So when I saw the fitbit on sale for black Friday I went for it. I am now back on wagon, and it’s so much easier because Versa syncs with MFP telling it how many calories I’ve burned throughout the day and it adjusts the calories on MFP accordingly. No wonder i was so hungry all those months ago! I was burning hundreds of extra calories each day and not realising! It’s great that Versa works it all out for you. I have now lost 3 pounds in a wk, and I have not felt ravenous at all. I went for a run for the first time last night and the data on the app was brilliant. A great motivator. The sleep app is so much more detailed as well and really encourages you to to get a gd nights sleep and meet your sleep goals. I also like that the watch vibrates 10 before the end of the hour telling how many more steps you have to go. And another nice touch is the challenges on the app, you can choose to walk a different trail each day, the Yosemite Trail in Nevada, and it shows you your location on the trail with beautiful picture, so again gives you more motivation to walk and keep active. It looks really nice on the wrist too. The only thing that doesn’t work properly is the function that tells you how many floors you’ve climbed, a really windy day affects that and it tells you you’ve climbed like 80 flights! But apparently it doesn’t affect your calories used, I think it’s just an extra info function so I just ignore it. Overall, compared to my old fitness tracker, the Versa is so much better. Better than I thought it would be. I got it on sale for 139 So it seems well worth the money. I would definitely recommend.
I just couldn’t justify an Apple Watch (I have a dress watch which is now nearly 25 years old and it didn’t cost much more but I know it’s not quite the same thing). The Versa is nothing like as clever but it can be a watch, a tracker and looks smart so works for me.
It arrived when it was meant to, simply packaged and so easy to setup (just shouldn’t have started at 23:10 as it takes about 30 mins!). I’ve changed the strap too as I don’t like the feel of the plastic (shame because the colour was great) and all functions seem to work as effectively as their other trackers.
The screen is a huge improvement over the other Fitbit trackers I’ve owned (due to size, color and ability to read outdoors) and I’m pleased with it.
Like any new toy (no excuses), you have to play with the capabilities even if you probably won’t use it later. So, to the Music function. Oh dear. In this day and age it feels painfully slow (well its actually the reason I’m writing this as the download says it will take 37 mins for about 50 tracks). It’s also not very intuitive. The instructions are clear but, because there is not a lot of feedback from the desktop app (on a Mac at least) you don’t know if it is actually doing anything – I think it was busily collecting all my playlists…it took quite a while. Eventually my iTunes playlists all appeared and you can choose the ones you want. That’s all good until you realise that the poor contrast interface on your desktop is actually telling you your music doesn’t fit. There was no other feedback for about 5-10 minutes (it always feels longer) and then you get an error which I couldn’t recover from. However, on quiting the desktop app and reconecting the Versa I then selected 2 smaller items and I can see they are starting to download (still 16 minutes left…). I haven’t tried connectng Bluetooth earphones yet but I’ve heard people have had issues.
That said, it’ll be a minor gripe for me even if I can’t get it to work. The watch is clear, the clock faces to choose from suit me and the tracker functions are pure Fitbit and I like how they work (glad to see I have Floors back after the Alta HR took them away). All in all very pleased (but still 13 mins to go). Oh well need to write another review…
Having tried weight watchers and slimming.world to no avail, i finally decided to use my money and invest in a fitbit. It took a year but because of my faciantion with my fitness / steps and dietry tracking i finally lost lost 2.5 stone and come off my blood pressure tablets, therefore was gutted when my charge 2 screen got bashed and sadly.couldnt be repaired it needed replacing, so I decided to treat myself to the more expensive upgraded versa. Was easy to set up and retained all of my Charge 2 settings. Apps are useful, didnt buy for making paymemts so doesnt.worry me that the app for this doesn’t work with uk carda. My Sony Headphones paired easily, so you dont need.to buy the fitbit headphones. Limited to either computer down loaded music or deezer, Am not used to Deezer but did mansge to upload some music fairly easily. As a woman the size of the versa is a lot bigger than the charge 2, so if your after dainty as opposed to functions then go for the charge 2. Screen is clear and notifcations received is great, can now sit in meetings and get messages withoit having to look rude by picking my phone. Over all am very pleased i chose the Versa, however do think for the purchase cost of all the upper range Fitbits that Fitbit would have repair centres. Havjng said that a fellow convert, who”s fitbit was just still in warrenty had an issue with the strap, and contacted fitbit, sent photos etc, fitbit replaced the whole watch no quibbles, so after service is good if still in warrenty. No regrets.
Started out with the Alta less than a year ago and completely hooked on the Fitbit idea. This Versa is wonderful! It was really easy to set up, syncs well and has a clear, crisp, bright display. I have set up Fitbit Pay which works without a hitch – only a few British banks at the moment though, and luckily mine is one of them (Santander).
Notifications are fab – get emails and texts – also notifications from social media etc if you want – just go the App section and turn them on. Also able to link with Nest, Alexa etc Very intuitive to use and easy. Sleep is accurate and steps, heart rate etc seem as before with the Alta.
Great activities to track – I have used the tennis, hike and walk – all excellent. You will need to go into the app to change the default activities (eg tennis and hike weren’t on there for me). Running was – and whilst I love my fitness I ain’t never going for a run! So these can be deleted and another activity added that is personal to you.
The strap is more pink than peach imo – which was a bit of a disappointment at first but I love the pink now. Straps are a nightmare to change – you need to hold the strap at 45 degrees, not in line with the Fitbit; YouTube videos will help. But for now I’m sticking with the pink band. Comfortable to wear and looks sporty.
Battery life is superb at 4 days…not used more than 25% each day even when tracking activities. (Great to also have a percentage for battery btw)
Overall so pleased with this smartwatch. Love it!
I finally gave in and purchased a fit bit!
So I’m autistic and I have bad anxiety so it’s really good for measuring my heart rate to see what is bothering me and I would recommend it to my students (I work with special needs young people).
I also have kidney stones and PCOS… if you get an app on your phone called My Water the notifications can come through on the Fitbit plus you can track your periods on the Fitbit and your sleep pattern!
I like that you can choose your clock face and even have one with a picture if you’d like!
The Fitbit app itself is fun there are competitions for walking and you can get trophies and stuff for walking… It’s great at the gym because I can track all the different types of exercises I do. I also subscribed to Fitbit coach and you can see the trainer on the Fitbit showing you the exercise and let me tell you they are a real work out plus you can do them at home with no equipment for days when you don’t get into the gym!
The battery life has been decent and with my Bluetooth on and using it a lot it’s lasted 4 days!
It’s nice that I can use my Apple Pay on the bus and there are loads of cool apps just wish there was Spotify!
Great watch, decent sized screen and not too bulky. I was worried it was going to look too big for my small wrists but it’s not as obtrusive as some smartwatches. It can take a while to set up as downloads and updates need to be applied, and personalising it obviously takes time, so not sure why people are complaining about the time it takes – if you want to get the best out of it, you have to spend a few minutes optimising all the features to suit you. Message and app notifications are really useful, and while you can’t reply to them via the watch itself, 9 times out of 10 I can’t be bothered to reply anyway…so it gives me a good excuse to be unsociable…
Really quick to charge; I usually take it off for showering and it’s pretty much full when I’m done. The relax app with breathing exercises is useful, particular on stressful work days. I’ve just started using the female health functions on it and they seem pretty good so far. The step counter can sometimes be a little off – I find it amazing I’m able to get those last few steps of my 250 per hour, simply sitting in a bar, over-gesticulating with my hands while sipping my drink…but I guess that counts as ‘movement’? I’d recommend getting a couple of screen protectors and a guard for when you work out, just to protect it from knocks, but it’s been quite durable so far and I’m useless when it comes to breaking my watches.
My only gripe was that it comes with the Deezer app – because who seriously uses Deezer. However you can control music streaming to your phone easily from the controls by pressing and holding the left button – this works for any music player including Spotify too, which isn’t widely advertised. Hopefully, they’ll come out with an official Spotify app soon as I’d love the ability to download and store a few songs without keeping my phone nearby.
The other apps at this point are okay/good, could do with a few more of the useful Apple/Android apps porting across to Fitbit. But hey, at least I can pay for my Starbucks with my wrist like the pretentious git I am.
I purchased an Apple Watch because I’ve got an iPhone (I’ll probably change soon but right now, I have an iPhone). I figured it made the most sense. I’m not reviewing the Apple Watch here but here are the facts: the Apple Watch doesn’t have an online dashboard to view/analyse your results/runs/heart/sleep – Fitbit does. In fact, the Apple Watch doesn’t even have a built in sleep monitoring function (yes, 3rd party apps exist, but that’s besides the point), you have to charge the Apple Watch around once every day, or second day if lucky. The Fitbit versa? 3-4 days between a charge, and it has built in sleep tracking.
It’s extraordinarily hard to dislike the Fitbit versa. It doesn’t set out to be a smartwatch, although it does have smartwatch features e.g it’ll vibrate/notify you of an incoming SMS/iMessage. But if you’re like me, and go walking, running, do martial arts, or swim, then you’ll seriously want to consider the Fitbit. The heart rate monitoring is continuous, unlike the Apple Watch which only monitors once every 10 minutes. This means you’ll get much more accurate, actionable data. Connected GPS works like a dream – and saves battery power. How does it work? You simply swipe over to ‘exercise’ and tap it, then select the activity you want to do e.g run, and then hit the gear icon in the top left of the watch. A small menu pops up and if you scroll down, it allows you to use ‘connected GPS’. Simply clicking the left button on the Fitbit Versa takes you back, then you start your walk/run. It’s much easier than I make it sound.
Why people complain about connected GPS I’ll never know. It saves a tonne of battery power. When I used GPS on alternative watches (Microsoft Band, Apple Watch etc), it would drain the battery. The Versa holds up well in that department. I usually go on 3x 20-30 minute dog walks per day and I lose maybe 5% – then when I get home, simply sync the Fitbit app and you can instantly see a map of your walk on your phone. If you want to, you can log into Fitbit’s online dashboard and see the map of your walk there. Additional information includes heart rate during walk along with further information such as pace, calories, elevation and impact on your day in terms of how many steps you took on your walk vs how many steps you intended to do that day.
A bit more on battery life: I charged my fitbit on 29th May at 2pm to 100%. It’s currently on 52% battery (31st May) after: 101 minutes of exercise on 29th, including 7 GPS walks, each around 20-30 mins each, and 6 workouts…. and 2 nights sleep tracking, 2x alarms and notifications when I get texts…..insane battery life!
The product feels pretty good quality and so far, I’ve enjoyed every second of it. The home screen ‘face’ that comes as standard allows you to tap and it’ll show you heart rate BPM, steps and calories, or you can go onto the Fitbit app and choose from hundreds of watch faces. In short: this is a watch for fitness people. This isn’t a smartwatch per se, it’s not a gimmick.
Overall, it has great battery life, great fitness features, great online dashboard, water resistant to 50m and a fantastic app to go along with it. Easily worth the money and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
Hello all,
I have been with Fitbit for several years. My wife and I didn’t have any issues with the initial setup, it was straight forward. The firmware update was done under half an hour after connecting it to the WiFi network.
I am happy with the Versa and can see great potential especially the new app store that allows the installation of 3rd party appps.
At the beginning I was missing notifications for Skype and WhatsApp. It seems this got fixed with later iOS/Android and and FitBit OS Firmware upgrades.
Under Notifications -> App Notifications I listed some few that are available in my Fitbit App
Depending on apps installed on your phone as well as your notification setting this list may be longer. As soon as you receive notifications from other apps, these might be available to select in the Versa.

Had some issues to upgrade to firmware 32.10.15 and it got stuck. So I needed to perform resets to make it work. Several attempts and three hours later it was completed successfully.
Since I am very active, the battery life is ok. Charging my Versa mostly after three days.
Downside for me is the charger. I would have preferred a charging cable like for the Surge.
There is not chance to charge the Versa, when it is in a silicone case. So you will need to dismantel it every time for recharge – remove the straps and silicone case and put it into the charger case. Very annoying. For this reason one star less.
