Very strong and well made. Plenty of key fobs & space for about 30 keys. Screws supplies not really suitable- so my handyman used his own much longer ones. Really handy having a key to over-ride if the batteries go flat. Would buy again.
After installing this key box it reminds me of a Brinx Truck
I am pleased with this product with only a couple of slight reservations. Firstly I found this to be a sturdy Key box, I doubt anyone could smash or cut their way in without a mighty struggle. It is a joy to have all of the keys in the same place, no more looking through drawers and pockets for the shed key! The couple of minor reservations are that the raw plugs and screws are a bit flimsy, so too are the 40 provided tags which I found difficult to remove the plastic strips to write on, and nigh on impossible to put back.. These tags are fine for keys which are used occasionally, but will probably disintegrate if placed in pocket and used constantly. Large keys on the top row hang over onto the bottom row. The numbers are provided as a stick on extra and are very difficult to place straight. In summary: A good value for money sturdy key box, reservations about the the added extras.
I was a bit worried by some of the comments put by other reviewers when I purchased this. On the whole I am very satisfied – so far. The item arrived extremely well packaged and quite quickly. As other reviewers mentioned there was a little paint chipped – bottom corners. Not really significant but odd as the damage must have been done before it was packed. This seems a very substantial box and it is quite heavy, 7 Kg I think. I decided it might be tempting providence to put it where I had intended because it was only a plasterboard wall. I found another location where the wall was brick and there was an existing shelf – which made fitting a lot easier. I think holding it in place while tightening the securing bolts would have required somebody to help. On the downside, the handle and key pad seem a bit flimsy. I might be doing it an injustice but I think if I were buying for business use I would go a bit further up market and hope for handle and keypad that were a bit more robust but since I am using this for domestic use I think it will be fine for my purposes. Time alone will tell.
Easy to install , easy to operate, easy to clean, and easy to access keys inside. I use this to hold all our extra keys for vehicles, doors, small locks, and outbuildings, which amounts to many sets of keys. There are hooks inside to hold a variety of different sized keys as well as room for multiple keys for the same lock. Not a huge drawback, but the lower set of hooks hold best shorter length keys while the upper hooks can better accommodate longer keys.
Would have rated five stars but for the poorly designed latch, I can hardly get my fingers in to turn it. Designed for a child’s fingers.
At last a box to fit all our keys in, numbers are a nice touch if a little fiddly to fit. Used my own rawl plucks and screws to mount on the wall as the supplied ones looked a little flimsy. Works and looks great.
