This is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a stylish and functional smartwatch. It pairs well with any outfit and I specifically chose the stainless steel option so that I could wear it to my office. The touch screen is responsive and intuitive. I have not yet had the chance to test the battery life, as I charge the watch almost every day, but the charging speed is great. Overall, I am very impressed with the Fossil Gen 6 watch and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and functional smartwatch.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersOverall this is a great watch for someone looking a smartwatch with a more traditional design and a functional OS.

Watch is designed well, feels high quality and performs well in most scenarios.

The only downside Ive found so far is lack of apps, there is an ok range but nowhere near the level of Apple Watch – though with the launch of pixel watch and Samsung being fully committed to wearOS I expect this to get better. Battery is also a major downside, 1 day max – however this is common with most smartwatches with a highly functional OS like wearOS. I would say if battery is a concern to check out alternatives with lighter OS’s such as fitbit, however this can come at the cost of some functionality.

    WearOS 3 Upgrade:
WearOS 3 was a requirement for me when buying a smartwatch – it took a lot of research to answer all the questions I had so adding them here for anyone else this may help –

The watch ships with wearOS 2 but can be upgraded to wearOS 3.2. WearOS 3 factory resets the watch so best to do it first thing if you wish to use it. WearOS 3 introduces a lot of new features but does break some eg.
Flashlight functionality is broke (Brightness doesnt increase to make it usable like in wearOS 2)
Google assistant is no longer available (Alexa added instead). After researching into this, it appears Google has not made assistant available to SnapDragon based watches on wearOS 3 yet. Hopefully Fossil it will be added when google release the functionality.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is my first smartwatch and I did not know what to expect from one, but felt before purchasing a smart watch, being an android phone user I wanted to go for a smartwatch that used the Google Wear OS with the idea that you would perhaps gain more functionality with your phone than a smartwatch that had another operating system powering it. I feel my preconceived idea to have been justified as the Google Wear OS is great it contains lots of apps such as cardio monitors etc, the phone can track your activities with GPS and google maps it has NFC for google pay, has the alexa function that can be used to control your smart home devices, it has youtube music and spotify and apps to customise the face of your watch. I’m thoroughly pleased with the device. I think it will only get better bearing in mind it is powered by the Google Wear OS that is used in the Google Watch and I don’t expect Google will let that device become a flop.
So yeah, really pleased and very good value for money.
    Hope this helps.

Good value for money. Charge once a day but very fast charge. Does what it says on the tin.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe stainless steel version is a bit heavier side, bit difficult to resize, some people may need a watch repairman to do it if you don’t have the right tool. Google watch os is better than Samsung tyzen. Able to send and receive WhatsApp, normal message on this watch. Battery is a bit of a pain, not use to charging it yet everyday.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI love this watch. Well build.. classy look and has all the features of a ideal smartwatch in it. I am using it for last 3weeks and it works so good. Big dial, multiple watch faces makes it look fab.

Before purchasing this watch I investigated all the options and decided that this was the best option for me. The looks, the performance (both the battery and the features) and the price were winners.
However, still need to get my head around the pairing with my iPhone but this hasn’t diminished the functionality.

Really pleased with my purchase, does everything that I was looking for, notifications, heart rate, blood oxygen, answer calls and fitness tracking. Very comfortable to wear, nice screen size and clear text. Battery last around a day/day and a half depending on usage but charges fairly quickly. Easy to set up, connects well and stays connected all day to my android phone. Overall I’d highly recommend this watch.

Love the watch but they really really need to sort the short battery life that won’t even last a day!!!

very well built and good looking watch. Avoid the silicon strap as is seems to burst very easily.

I like the crispness of the display, and the bit more functionality than my previous Fossil. I wanted decent battery life, but the look and feel of this watch is very decent, and so far I am getting well over 36hrs out of it (enough for me). Gen 6 means it’s ready for Wear OS3, so for the money it suits my needs superbly.

I looked into the different versions and was going to go for the leather strap as it was considerably cheaper but when I saw the stainless steel, it looks far superior. Had to go to a jewelers to get the links out, be good if they provided a tool to do it yourself.

Battery life I can get a day and a half, but takes hardly any time at all.

I don’t use it for the sleep monitoring, but the rest of the monitoring works well.

Keyboard is a joke but voice recognition is very good.

Handy when you don’t realise your phone is ringing.

Overall very happy with it. I also got a screen protector which are pants. Because it is square cut glass, slightest knock on the edge chips it.

I took me forever to find the perfect smartwatch, I thought I found it when I found this. Unfortunately after a while when charging the watch got so hot it didn’t charge. Such a shame

The watch looks great, quite dressy. I got this watch not just for the looks but the fact that it is one of the very short list of watches that are ready for the new Wear OS. The battery life on it is nothing to write home about but it certainly gets me through a full day and my understanding is that the new Wear OS will actually improve the battery performance, win win. I thought that the thin edge between the screen and the bezel could be visually distracting but you don’t notice after a day or so. All in all a smart looking smartwatch that is ready for the future.

I like this watch, lots of faces to choose from, good GPS tracking, I think steps are a little out though. Definitely stands out against some of the other smart watches on the market and is a decent size, doesn’t over bare my small wrists. As for those instantly returning the watch because of the battery life – I had to use the watch for a good two weeks before the battery capacity maxed out. It needs quite a few charge cycles to learn and then it will for the most part last a day. Sometimes it will be in extended ‘time only mode when I charge it up again on the morning but that’s not an issue for me.
UPDATE: After OS3 became available the battery life has increased greatly. I can now go on a hike without being on reserve power by the end of the day, using the workout tracking with heart monitoring and GPS active for 3 hours straight. Much improved. I wish the screen glass was a little more tough. It has gained a few deeper scratches and enough small marks to be noticeable which is a shame.

As the title says, I have tried a lot of smart watches, so does this one stand out. First the design: This is a very smart looking watch and looks very nice in what ever attire I’m wearing for the day. The bracelet is HUGE and dosen’t come with any tools to take the links out, so spent more on Amazon. Some watches also come with a second strap, this didn’t so Amazon again for a grey rubber strap. Fits much better. Overall the design is brilliant. It charges very quick and battery lasts around a day. Believe me the battery is not bad compared to many out there. Downside is that it doesn’t come with WearOS3 which is disappointing. Its a good watch and I do recommend it but only for android users if you want a full smart watch. Apple users is okay for notifications, receiving calls but thats about it.

The watch it’s self is smart and attractive with many different functions but I don’t think it’s works well with the iPhone there is no fossil app just a wears os app not very good battery life not great if you’re messing with the watch strap way too big not many changeable faces unless you pay for them overall nice looking watch but not for me

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve had this watch for a week now and it’s been very impressive.
Much more responsive that the TicWatch Pro 3 I was using before, but missed the premium look and feel of the Fossil.

Battery life isn’t half bad, even with all features turned on and sleep tracking all night it’ll make it. 7am off charge, 24hrs later it’s down to somewhere between 4-10% so I wake up 6am, stick it on charge while getting ready and it’s at 100% charge before leaving for the day at 7am.

The crown dial is an issue. This is actually my second Fossil Gen 6, the first was returned within 2 days as it would continually restart randomly. Seems the crown dial is an optical sensor for presses, so if dust somehow gets in there it thinks it’s being held in. Not ideal and something Fossil need to address (perhaps with a software prompt or a combination of buttons required!!).

The metal band on my model is nice, but can be a bit tight sliding your hand through once the bands are resized. There’s a never ending SQUEAK from the watch band as it connects to the watch, very noticeable on both of the watches I was sent. It’s so loud in fact, when shifting gears on the car I thought the gearbox was squeaking… no… I just forgot the watch did that. Hopefully it’s something that goes away with time as I don’t fancy putting WD40 on it!

Overall, I’m happy with the crisp display, fast charging, decent Fossil watch faces + apps, smooth performance of the 4100+ and it looks stylish. If you can find this under 200 it’s a great deal and the update to Wear OS 3 near year will be fantastic but there’s nothing you’d miss out on getting it now.

One of, if not the best Wear OS watch on the market except for the Galaxy Watch 4. For those without a Samsung phone this is a much better device, and for those seeing something that’s stylish the Gen 6 is a winner too.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThe latest Fossil Gen 6 smart watch, which I had a chance to recently test with pleasure, is an absolutely king of performance. The performance in this particular case is nicely matched with outstanding design and craftsmanship. It’s simply looks very luxurious and premium. Under the hood we’ve got the latest and the greatest Snapdragon Wear 4100+. Ultra fast chip with lower power consumption compared to predecessor. Bluetooth 5 and NFC, 8GB of storage and 1GB od RAM, all possible sensors including spO2, the blood oxygen measurement, GPS, HRM, accelerometer altimeter compass, gyroscope, off-body IR, ambient light sensor, you name it. Performance wise it’s simply ultra fast. There’s not way for single glitch. The 1. 3inch AMOLED display is beautiful. Lovely vibrant colours. Pixels density is 326. For such a small screen it’s absolutely great. Two programmable push buttons plus main rotating home button. The 44mm Stainless Steel case is matched with 22mm interchangeable stunning looking bracelet. It’s run by Wear OS 2 which is absolutely fine. Very important fact is that due to the latest hardware configuration all Fossil Gen 6 smart watches are eligible for the update to Wear OS 3, which should landed on the beginning of 2022. All day battery life and quick new quick charge capability shouldn’t disappoint anyone. Describing this smart watch in single word – stunning is most adequate in my opinion. Once the latest software update will be issued for all Gen 6 family this will make my beloved FTW4059 the best smart watch ever.
