Hubby is very pleased with this lawnmower. No more extension cables through the window! Battery lasts for ages. Good cut too. Been using and is a delight. Relatively quiet also and lightweight in use. A good purchase.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFantastic mower, glad I went for high capacity as cuts large rear lawn and front lawn with ease without recharging. The grass box is an excellent size, the adjustments a doddle. It’s as good as a petrol rotary without all the future maintenance, and compared with a corded electric mower this saves an incredible amount of time.

Read the instruction before use. I didn’t and the mower kept cutting out. On referring to the instructions I found that I had the cut set too low. After resetting the cut the mower performed really well. Very happy with it and would recommend.

This is an amazing mower. It’s easy fit the battery, to turn on, to empty, to adjust and to store.
This is the first cordless mower I’ve had, I’d definitely recommend

It is really great lawnmower. Cuts the grass neat and clean.

The base battery full charge is enough for the area 15m x 10m this and is more than enough. Charger also quickly charges the battery, but if you want bigger area to cut suggest to buy additional battery or bigger batteries.

The lawn mower works very well. I have 4 medium size lawn of each 30 sq.m. each. Couldn’t mow more than two at a time without recharging, but that’s okay. But fortunately my lawns are flat. The self drive works but is not very powerful I can’t imagine it would be of any help on a sloping lawn like I had in my previous house where I had a petrol mower with self-drive (unfortunately that rusted away).

I’ve been using this lawnmower for several months now and have been very satisfied. After reading other reviews I was hesitant on the battery power. I have the 2x24V batteries. But as long as both batteries are fully charged I can mow my lawn and also use the Greenworks blower (I bought this separately and the batteries are interchangeable) without having to recharge. It takes about 15 minutes on my grass, so not a large lawn. If you have a larger lawn, definitely go for the bigger batteries.
There was one problem with the rear flap. There are two pins that hold the rear flap in place and one broke. This in turn caused the flap to bend out of shape. I contacted Greenworks and they immediately sent a replacement part, no questions asked. Very satisfied with the guarantee and the customer service. We’ll see if the mower holds together for the long haul. But for the money, it still seems a good deal. I was able to replace the broken pin with a small wooden dowel (from leftover IKEA furniture parts) and it is working fine now.

It would have been given 5 star in all areas but I cannot screw the lower handle screws into the machine as they don’t seem to be aligned and I can’t see the corresponding holes to connect them but its a reasonably tight fit so can still use it . It cuts very well indeed.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have a good sized lawn and a small one. A robotic mower will be installed for the larger lawn and I bought this mower to cut the small lawn and trim round the edges when necessary of the large one. I’ve tried it out and it is perfect for the job. The mulching option works beautifully. The only slight difficulty I had in the assembly of the machine was getting the screws into the lower handle. They have to be pushed in very forcefully before the screw holes line up and then it is easy. How wonderful it is, not to have a long cord trailing along and then having to roll it up and store it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFor anyone thinking a battery powered lawnmower can’t really hack it, I say this one can. In fact it’s better, in so many ways. No petrol to buy, no belts to break or wear out, easy to clean – you can tip it on its side to clean the underside without fear of oil leaking outwonderful. And the speed control is a bonus, allowing you to work at your preferred pace.
Cutting and pulling power are at least as good as the equivalent size petrol mower. OK, so the batteries only give you twenty minutes or so of use before needing recharging, but who want to mow grass for longer than that in one go? Not me. Hand me that bee

Bought to replace a petrol mower with the pull cord. Need life at bit easier at my age. This mower is just the job. The handle was the only thing needing attaching & was really easy to do & get the right height. The speed adjuster is perfect, with arthritic knees I can slow it down or speed it up depending how I feel. The batteries are simple to install & charge. I’m so pleased I bought it as I can now my own grass for a long time to come.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have been persevering for years with a tiny corded Flymo, and the Greenworks is a revelation in comparison. It reduced the time to mow my lawn (maybe 8m by 25m) from about an hour to 20 minutes, consuming 2/3 of the battery charge in the process. The grass bag needed emptying three times. The mower gets very close to the edges at fences, although some edging is still needed (Greenworks strimmer on order…). It’s very easy to clean, and very easy to adjust the cutting height. A single pass of medium length grass is cut perfectly. I am very happy indeed!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersEven allowing for inflation, a bit pricy compared to my previous, slightly larger cut, Honda petrol engined mower. Easy to assemble, not sure about how durable it will be. Relatively quiet in use (compared to the Honda) and no exhaust fumes .
My two smallish lawns add up to about 80m2 and are uneven with slight slopes, which it can do with a bit of power remaining in the two 4ah batteries, using it’s self propulsion for 100% of the cut. The specifications claim a 480m2 cut is possible but I’m very doubtful – even if the area is very flat, the grass very short and self propulsion not used. As other people on here have stated 200m2 is probably the practical limit and even that may be optimistic.
A search of the forums that discuss lithium batteries gleans some useful advice:
1/ Store the batteries over the winter about 60% or 2/3 charged to extend their useful life.
2/ For safety NEVER let the batteries get colder than about 4C as this can damage them internally, resulting in a fire or explosion when they are used or charged.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSeems solid enough and simple to get up and running. 2 x 4 batteries enabled me to mow almost all our grass in one go (approximately 500 square metres) even though it was long. Batteries charged in under an hour.

It’s self-propelled or not whichever way you want to use it. Much lighter than the petrol mower it replaces so easy to manoeuvre. I’m much more productive with this. Batteries are adequate for both my lawns and quick to charge after. Very pleased with this. Expensive but I recommend.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersOriginal mower arrived and hit a snag as one of the bolts didn’t hold on the upper handle then when I first charged the batteries it squealed a high pitch frequency , when I asked on Amazon the question the lovely people answered not supposed to do that so I emailed the manufacturer and sent them a video of it squealing , they could t hear it so I’ve attached the video I sent for the people with the sound turned on , they say we have raised a case , I asked what next , email back it’s not faulty we sent you a screw , the screw did arrive the next day ! I did an exchange on the product through Amazon instead and this was easy and no issues new one arrived next day so my thoughts , the batteries still make the noise so it does have this and it’s annoying , the handles and leavers are fiddly but ok , it’s heavy to carry but in use it’s nice and efficient and seems lighter , I used the highest setting as I have newly laid grass and it was really good it cut just enough for this time of year and is a quiet mower , it’s a alright despite its flaws , would I buy it at the price now of 269 I wouldn’t . Am I happy fairly yes , let’s see how it survives

When I received it I assembled it straight away and put it to use the day after because I needed to charge the battery. It does just what we need it to do

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe first one, costing 110.99 including a single 2Ah battery, had a faulty switch and had to be sent back which meant an afternoon was wasted although Amazon does have a helpful system for returns.

The second one is very suitable for my two small lawns and a single battery would be more than enough for these. This is surely the machine’s intended purpose. However, I was hoping the mower would prove useful for going around my trees and bushes in my orchard. I tried it out and it worked very well as it is very manoeuvrable, definitely powerful enough and unlike my strimmer there was no danger of damaging the plants.

So, I purchased a second 2Ah battery, a “used but good” item for 40.69 from Amazon. Both batteries last for12 minutes of constant mowing which means the machine can be used for 24 minutes in total. I found that this enabled me to get over half of my orchard done which is fine for me as mowing for 24 minutes is enough for me in one go.

I am therefore very pleased so far but you will have to weigh it up carefully to see if this tiny machine is for you.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis might be slightly unfair , but I did in the past own a quality lawn mower , a electric Honda . So my experience is based on the Honda.
The instructions are just about ok. I would of preferred to have all the information in the book, not part on a separate sheet. It would be better to have the paperwork at the top of the box not hidden on the bottom. The handle folding arrangement is poor. The second tread heeds to be longer so the Handle folds before coming off the second tread. The handle it’s self is not very ridget. The worst thing I found is the height adjustment. Having to rely on flexing the plastic mechanism is poor engineering. I can’t see this mechanism lasting very long with heavy use.
Some kind of clips would be helpful to hold the electric cable in place. I used cable ties with slack around the handle folding arrangement.
As yet I haven’t used the mower on a law but when I do , will revisit this review.
    Mid April update
Used a couple of times on a new lawn . Battery life was fine on my small lawn and the cut was very good.
    Increased my star rating

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe product does a very good job. The service from Amazon or the company that sold the product was terrible. One of the screws that combined the two parts of the handle was defective. Since it was a propriety screw, I could not find one in any DIY store. I wrote to amazon explaining the situation. I was ignored. It seems that they wanted me to return the item because of a bad screw. In this case, their commitment to a green planet seems questionable. I found a 6mm screw and made it fit. The Lawnmower does what it says on the tin and it does it very well.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThis mower is really great. It’s light and easy to manoeuvre around tight spots, flower beds, etc. It’s easy to adjust the cut height. It folds up in seconds and stores vertically – all super.

It’s also pretty quiet. I went out to mow the lawn at 8.30AM the other Sunday and it simply wasn’t a problem… it didn’t even wake my wife!

BUT if, like me, you have a third of an acre of land, and say half of that is lawn (total around 700 square metres), you’re looking at 2 full charges to mow your lawn (so one break in the middle to recharge). The ad says it should do up to around 480 sq m, so I guess that’s about right.

Be aware, though, that with long grass, I needed to recharge twice to finish the job. I’m not talking “knee length” grass here, mind you. More, “oops, I missed a week” length (in spring when the grass grows quickly)

Each recharge takes a couple of hours.

This sounds like a pain, but seriously, this mower is so easy to use and to set up that I don’t find it an issue at all.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThought I’d measure the garden before reviewing. I have around 250 square metres. Once I’ve mowed that lot there is one bar left on each of the batteries. This is for a weekly cut with some it needing the high power cut that kicks in automatically, but I haven’t really used the self-propelled option much.. So I’m not sure you’d get the advertised 480 out of them. But maybe if you cut more often
However, in use it is brilliant. It has extra power when needed and cuts through anything I have. The grass bag, while not huge, is easy to detach and empty. The height settings are fine for me, but may be slightly high if you’re cutting a bowling green!
As others have said, not having wires means you can get on much more quickly. My rt minutes is now about 30. I love it. The 1 bar of battery is enough to do a bit of strimming with the matching strimmer. Charging times are OK too. Haven’t measured it, but seems quicker than I was expecting.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersCheap Lawnmower which looks smart and compact and is easy and efficient to use. Batteries are woefully inadequate (2x2ah 24v). I have about 180m2 of lawn and have needed to recharge twice each time I’ve cut the grass, approximately 60m2 per charge, cutting level 3. Reluctant to buy more batteries as they’re eyewateringly expensive.10-20 minutes cutting time per charge. If replacement batteries were half the price I’d offer 5 stars. As is only worth 3 .
Update after a few months.I’ve bitten the bullet and purchased 2x4ah batteries which have transformed the product. It’s great now, cuts well and the 4ah batteries last for both lawns , front and back. I’ve also bought a bare greenworks reciprocating saw which does small jobs fine with one of the original 2ah batteries.
Great product, expensive batteries. Moral of the story: unless you already have spare greenworks batteries from other appliances then get the 4ah batteries to start with.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersNot given to write reviews but this time etc etc … When I first got this m/c I was taken aback by the weight – I joked I cant send it back cos I would never get it back in the box! I even considered giving it to a friend in need of a mower. How glad am I didnt! I found it hard to manoever around our garden edges at first but after using it a few times I now find it dead easy. The wheels are huge and it is not difficult to push or use the slowest speed to assist. Our garden slopes and I am getting too old for pushing mowers up hill. So to walk behind this little beauty is a joy. If the lawn was flat I am sure I could push it round – but why bother when you have a motor? Someone said the battery was not good – I have 2x4ah 24v batteries which I had used with my GW leaf blower several times (another excellent gizmo) and there was still enough juice to mow the lawn (100ft long) I also have a 2ah 24v battery for the strimmer and they seem to last forever – so ignore those nay sayers the 24v batteries are good – cant comment on the other voltages. Lastly the icing on my Greenworks cake – the cut – thought my old bosch mower was good although I always thought the cut was a bit uneven – but this m/c leaves the lawn looking great – no classic stripey bits and the wheels do leave tracks which are not the greatest but they soon fade and its a small price to pay for a great mower. My wife says I have to get out more!
