Easy to install , quality you would expect from Hansgrohe products

Nice tap very easy to fit but they are designed for European connections so you need some 15mm converters.
I used these for 15mm copper pipes:
Grohe 46914000 46914000-15mm x 3/8” UK Compression Fittings/Adapter Kitchen and Bathroom Mixer taps, Chrome, Set of 2 Pieces.
But I think you can buy cheaper ones elsewhere.
Very happy with the quality/price and look etc

Very happy with this tap. Although it didn’t come with the fast fit nut as described, I think the fittings that did come looked better quality. It was easy enough to install with some adapters I’d also ordered for the hoses. Easy to use and I’m happy with the look..

I’m happy with my purchase as this item looks great and feels quality. The only thing is if you have 15mm fittings as many of uk houses do you’ll need a reduction from 15mm to 3/8″. Other than that installation was a breeze.

Good price for the item. Looks good. It was relatively easy to fit but be aware that the connectors are standard European size and needed adaptors to connect to UK fittings. Did. Or mention that and luckily my local plumbing merchants had two in stock. Happy with the purchase so fa

This is a really excellent tap, and for just over 60, very good value fur money too. I did need to order the two 15mm adapters (Grohe taps are set up for EU plumbing) recommended by other reviewers here, but that was no problem and our plumber was used to Grohe taps and the adapters so he fitted it in no time. It is very study, functions beautifully and I’m delighted with it.

Nice simple tap made to a high quality to what you would expect from this make. The only thing is the reducer connections would be helpful if supplied in the box. It’s a pain looking for the right connections and guessing on Amazon is not easy.

This tap is great now it’s working. However, when installed the cold was just a trickle, hot qas fine. No air lock, pressure good. Reported to Grohe as faulty but in the meantime I had the cartridge removed and found there was a blockage one part was full of “gunk” in supposedly a brand new tap. Maybe we were sent a used, previous returned tap. Now unblocked and working fine.

This was a pretty easy tap to install. However, a few things to be aware of.

    1. It does require adapters to fit the tap tubes to the supply lines.
    2. The inlet pipes to the tap are narrower than previous tap (feels like 8mm vs 15mm piping) and as such water rate delivery is reduced. Not a show stopper but it will take longer for the sink to fill.
    3. I couldn’t see a hot / cold indicator on the flexible pipes, so got this round the wrong way to start and had to switch over.
4 my hot water supply is lower pressure than the cold supply (tank vs mains) and the tap doesn’t handle this brilliantly. Ie hot is a small fraction of the handle.

This tap is brilliant. Good quality and it was easy to install but could have been far easier. It required a adapter that my local hardware store kindly helped me purchase.
Connections on current out going tap were a different size to that which came with this one. As with other reviewers the store said it should be provided with the tap. Therefore taken one star off.

Installed on a stainless steel sink using the plastic nut. It tightened up without slipping like other installers reported and is attached to the sink firmly. Lighter weight than the tap it replaced but still has a feel and look of good quality. The spout rotates easily and the mixer lever works fine. I did buy 3/8″ to 1/2″ adaptors to go with it. Connecting up was really easy and without leaks.

It is better to buy good quality taps my not so old taps did have spray and flexibility but didn’t always work right. As they say you get what you pay for.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersA high-quality tap is well worth the price. In principle very simple to fix, just put the tap in place, push up the big plastic locking nut, tighten the nut by hand, then attach the flexible tails.

In reality, its a bit more troublesome, the pipes need adapters in most situations as they use EU fittings, Amazon does offer these, but if you have a 15mm isolator valve an easier and cheaper option is to buy from Amazon Ibergrif M91501 UK Compression Adaptors Connector from G3/8 Inch to G1/2 Inch. They use a rubber washer to seal and just screw onto the isolator valve instead of the compression nut. The tap tails are very long so that could help with installation if you have a short piece of pipe in your isolator valve.

The other issue is what others had difficulty with is securing the big plastic locking nut, ours came with just the nut and no washers like others had received, the issue is as soon as the nut starts to tighten it releases grip and won’t tighten, with ours we just kept trying and on about the 10th attempt it held, it seems very sensitive and if you make sure it’s straight and tighten very slowly it should work. It’s a really easy way to fix compared to the old style bolts, but it’s just a bit temperamental.

Easy to install kitchen tap. Looks great. check the diameter of the hole in the sink. Fitting mechanism is quite wider and from the old much more narrow threaded rod with clip and nut. Thought it would be a standard diameter but it turned out the hole in the ceramic sink was slightly smaller so had to use the dremel tool to widen it a bit.

This was easy to fit to sink and plumb. It looks great, feels strong. However you need to buy connections for the tails to join 15mm pipe. It is made for the European market .

Brilliant high end kitchen tap. Easy to fit and works and looks just great.

You MUST buy this with a set of 2
15mm Compression by 3/8″ BSP Male – which Amazon recommends with the purchase order for it to fit UK fittings. Amazon made the ordering process easy as it was recommended when ordering the tap.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this having returned a tap (from another supplier) that cost three times as much. This one is far more sturdy and better made. The handle feels good to use, with a satisfyingly solid feel, and it and the neck move smoothly. Very good value for money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value, well-built tap

This Tap is lovely quality and it would have 5 stars across the board. The only problem Is as someone else mentioned that you will need up to European connections as this tap is for European fittings. So make sure you order these at the same time.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSurprisingly I had to send the first sample back; it leaked from the top of the fixed tails. The replacement (speedily arranged by Amazon) has been superb. Provided you can get your hand all the way up, the blue nut just needs pushing up the black thread (not obvious from the instructions or video) and then hand tightening for a clever, rock solid fixing against a fully level surface. If you can’t reach all the way, you might struggle to find an appropriate box spanner! As the original plumbing needed sensible revision, it was no problem to fit the recommended reducing tap connectors. Grhe’s longer than usual tails were a blessing.
The light, smooth operation of the tap’s moving parts feels impressive and it doesn’t leak!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis tap perfectly meets our needs. It feels well built, seemed easy enough to install for our builder (but do remember to buy the pipe size adapters), doesn’t drip like the old one, and the one handle mixer control is very convenient. The tap looks classy with a subtle GROHE logo. I hope it will last many years. Good price for this brand which I consider to be the gold standard for plumbing supplies.

Easy to fit with the plastic ratchet collar. Collar can take up more room than a traditional fitting, but worth it over all in terms of time saved and convenience. Tails marked hot and cold. Will need a 3/8’s to 1/2 adapter. I use 3/8 to 1/2 shut off valves for neatness and works a treat.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt was installed a week ago and works good so far. The twists on the tap from hot to cold to hot is very smooth and gives the right pressure considering we have a very high preassure. The previous tap gave a gush of water on fulll turn.

The only thing is I wish this pack came with the adapters which I had to purchase. I bought a Grohe toilet tap from local retailer which had the adaptors in it and must say they are of good quality. So why not this one. I had to buy one from the local retailer but these are not of good grade. The local retailer said normally genuine Grohe products do come with adaptors. Not saying this is not, as it has the watermrk symbol on one side the tap. So I will give 4* until I hear good reason that not all Grohe products come with the adaptors.

I can’t comment on how easy this tap was to install as our builder did that but I didn’t hear any complaints! The tap looks very stylish in our new kitchen. Very pleased with this purchase. Good value.

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersI am not a plumber and so I took me a while to take the old tap off. Probably I didn’t have the proper tools. Installing and tightening the tap onto the sink didn’t take long though.

    Things you need for installation
    – 2 Spanners ( you might only need 1 but I definitely needed two to get the job done)
    – 1 PTFE thread seal tape – to stop the water leaking from the joints – very important !
    – a pair of British to Euro Pipe adaptors (Ordered from Amazon! – https://www.amazon.co.uk/Compression-Thread-European-Flexible-Adapters/dp/B00KBQ10XY )

This is a super tap, but the pipes are much narrower than standard, hence the use of the adapters. This means that the flow of water is also less than normal, so it takes slightly longer to fill the kettle! The dimensions of the pipes are not on the diagram – although the requirement for adapters should have alerted me! Too late now…. 🙁

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGood quality tap and easy to install once I had the correct pipe fittings. Really disappointed to find I had to purchase some tap hose adaptors as I was not aware the fittings were ‘Continental’ and did not fit our standard 15mm pipework. I only discovered this when I had removed the old tap. Really frustrating.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersStick to Grohe and all will be good!
The quality is great and was easy to fit once I had ordered & received the correct adapters.
These will almost certainly be required with every UK installation as they are different to any standard UK fittings.

This product requires a 48 384 kit if you wish to fit the tap to a kitchen work surface Amazon or Grohe should highlight This before purchase the kit provided is for a thin surface

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersYou do need to buy the adapters that are listed alongside this tap as the flexible connectors are not the same size as the pipes in your kitchen. Apart from that, fitting is almost tool-less. You’ll need a couple of adjustable spanners to connect the water, but mounting the tap itself is just tightening a bolt by hand.
