brigens, Videos laufen ruckelfrei. Also YouTube super.

Tablet is ok, it’s definitely not up there with a Samsung for screen quality but I thought with the extra ram it would be a quicker but it’s just the same.

If you don’t like the Amazon tablets, this is a decent alternative
They’re not as powerful as many other tablets but it is a decent alternative

It’s great for watching TV and such on but not a lot more

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGot these tablets for my boys they’re going away for Christmas, my only qualm is that I can’t find a cover for them anywhere and obviously worried my children will crack the screen. Me and my husband have set them up though and they are fantastic

After almost two month use, I would agree with most of the reviewer, the tablet is a great value tablet. For the screen resolution, it is not the best one but it’s nice and clear. For battery life it does last a good while for use, better than my own one. The tablet was running fast when we first use, but it does slow down a bit after two month of use, but it’s a cheap tablet cant really ask for all perfect.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersThis tablet is priced at the lower mid-range price point for tablets of this screen size.

For a tablet for viewing webpages, checking email, playing Facebook games or the simpler games on Google Play, viewing YouTube videos or 1080p movies, this should be able to handle it with no problems.
The speakers are not the loudest and have lacking bass notes, but let’s be honest here you are probably gonna use headphones or earbuds with a tablet anyway.

Battery life is surprisingly good, with a 6000mAh battery inside, it’s almost 1000mAh more than some of its competitors at this range so you will have decent running life on it if you are on the go. The one let down, and there was bound to be one at the price point…is the screen.

The viewing angle on the screen, while on restrictively tight, is still on the small side with noticeable colour degradation the further away you get from viewing it directly on. However, as I keep saying, at this price point you will not find the latest up to spec oled based screens and will find that most of the tablets in this price range also have restrictive viewing angles on the screen.

Playing medium rated GPlay games on this didn’t tax the processor or graphics too much but if you are going to play some of the more resource-demanding games on this tablet the major letdown will be the screen itself.

All in all, this tablet would be a great “starter” for someone who has never used a tablet before, or maybe your parents/relative who could be struggling with the small screen on their smartphone, this uses the same Android operating system that they might be used to, but it been re-skinned slightly for a cleaner look.

4.0 out of 5 stars A solid performer at this price poi

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersGood tablet for an excellent price. It replaces my old one, which can’t be even compared to the HAOVM one in terms of speed, storage memory, and display quality. The initial set up takes a few minutes, where I had to set up my personal profile account. Once done its ready to download and install apps and games.
Out of curiosity I have downloaded Call of Duty mobile, just to see how it performs and its brill. Smooth graphics, no lags, and the graphics looks really good.
The tablet has two speakers at the bottom and I must admit, these are very loud – I had to turn the volume down to around 15-20 percent. Android 11 is a bonus here, this provides extra security and bug fixes.
the build of the unit is sturdy, it has a single lens camera at the back and a camera at the front. In terms of photo quality, its good in the daylight, good to use for video conference or zoom meetings. The back camera does good quality pictures. Overall, its a fantastic-value all-rounder.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing value for what it does.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersYou can’t complain about a tablet for this price can you. Ok there are a few things I would like better but all in all its good value for 64 GB tablet.

I am a long term iPad Pro user so not sure if I can compare the two as thats a MIS-match but one thing this tablet has which the iPad lacks is a micro so card reader. That means a lot. Ok shame its not the full sad card size but when I use my drone it allows me to download the images and thats a plus and advantage over the iPad.

    Now the more in-depth look.

Setup – very easy. Language set and it takes it from there. Updates itself then asks if you wish to transfer over android or apple apps. again thats a first for me and my iPad Pro never asked this. I transferred my android apps from one of my phones and that was pretty easy.

Camera – only 8Mgs but thats adequate as I only use it for the odd picture as my phone and camera have easily enough if I need larger images.

Colour – Its good for such a “cheap” tablet. Nice and bright and pixels are sufficient again.

Charging and it battery. No complaints. Ok its new so you should expect it to last and it does. Used it for seven days on and off and no need to recharge. Ok not continuous use but above average for me and it outperformed in this area against my iPad.

Performance – Ok its. So against most tablets I have used but this price you can’t expect a very fast processor.

Sound – rather tinny and lacks depth.

Internet scrolling – works ok, bit slow but has the annoyingly puts the pages upside down when you minimise them – maybe this can be fixed in an update.

It’s a four out of five for me. Great value for a tablet which has good performance, even though a little slow.

4.0 out of 5 stars Packs a punch at this costs and performs better than expected though with flaws

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersI am generally an ipad user and have been for years. I’ve seen tablets progress and progress over the years and many are now on par and more with the ipad.

With this has come huge choice and often huge prices.

So what do you get for your money at the cheaper end of the budget? Well this is surprisingly excellent and does everything functionally which my ipad does. If you want a cheap but functional tablet for emails, reading, Web browsing and to watch films or listen to music then this will do all of that.

It is also an excellent entry level tablet for children which allows them access to games, Netflix etc without breaking the bank. Christmas is coming up and tablets are often a popular choice for older children. This is a cost effective choice which will allow them to game, watch films, listen to music and read etc. I’ve included a photo above of a children’s app ( for younger children) to give an idea of screen resolution.

The tablet comes with 64GB plus a 128GB MicroSD card included. Camera takes better quality photos than my ipad (in my opinion) as photo seemed sharper and clearer.

Of course, at this price there will be some differences from more expensive tablets. From what I can see this is simply in things like build design. The tablet feels cheaper and less solid with a plastic although sturdy back the screen resolution isn’t the high quality you get with the more expensive tablets. I’ve tried to show the quality in photos and these were taken with a good, quality camera so are as detailed as I could get them. The tablet isn’t as heavy as more expensive ones but this does make it easier to hold for reading etc.

If buying for a child it would be worth buying a case which fits a 10 inch tablet just for extra protection.

All in all I love this, tablet and my 18yr old son is using it to watch films and game. Excellent tablet for the price

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent tablet for the price

It’s hard to argue with that price. 109.99 after applying the voucher is certainly cheap for a 10″ tablet.

It’s obviously built to a price. It’ll do everything many people need, though, with few significant weaknesses. I’m not going to go through every feature but all the essentials are present. The thing that bothered me most was the display. I didn’t like the feel of it and touch sensitivity was disappointing. It wasn’t very easy to type accurately, so, while ok for messaging, it’s less successful for email.

For everyday activities such as web browsing and shopping, simple games and various apps, it works well enough, especially as a first tablet, perhaps for a child.

To put this tablet from HAOVM in perspective, it sits in price between, for example, the Amazon Fire 8 and 10. If you can make do with a smaller screen and don’t mind some ads, the Fire 8 is perhaps a better buy. The Fire 10 is a significant step up from the 8, though, not just bigger, and it may make sense to splash out. There are also lots of other tablets from obscure brands at a similar price to this. Do your homework. You might even find a decent second-hand iPad for similar money. Otherwise, this seems a good compromise, at the price.

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersFirstly after removing the screen with the startup instructions it was super nice to see a screen protector already fitted, great — saves me creating endless bubbles.

The tablet itself is quite a decent build, it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy, the back of the tablet is a good strength (although probably a step down from my old Fusion 5 one) and it all looks rather good.
Powering it on, it seems to take a little while to load up compared to some things, not super quick but not too shoddy either, quicker than my older tablet by exactly 50 seconds (timed) – but it is an older version of Android on that one and a lower spec.
It’s easy to set up guiding you through the process of making the device tailored to what you need.
Once up and running it has a few apps already pre-loaded — the usual suspects, Gmail, Play Store e.t.c. I downloaded a few for testing Netflix, Fallout Shelter and for old times sake Candy Crush. They all downloaded quickly and no fuss.
Running them — every app started up quickly – Fallout Shelter runs great, Candy Crush too — the difference between Candy Crush on this and my older Fusion 5 is that there are no lags when the game loads — on the older tablet I would get the occasional lag when the game was starting up, this time it’s quick and smooth.

Netflix which I would probably use it for the most was spot on, the picture was great — there was no lag creating a mismatch between the audio and picture. The audio itself was quite decent coming from the in built speaker (better than the same on the Fusion 5) and on wired headphones it was even better.
It has blue tooth also so I connected a pair of earbuds, they connected easily with no issues — again the sound was good again no lag between the action on screen and the audio in the earbuds.

Battery life is fantastic, it beats my old tablet hands down even when that old one is in battery saver mode — both with display brightness at 75%.

Now the SD card. Well not great — I’m not over keen on open ports with things like this going back to the Fusion 5, that had a removeable panel to access the port and the card was easy to install and remove. This has an open port, mounting the SD card is fiddly sometimes it stays in sometimes it pops out, you need a long finger nail or as I used, the end of a bic pen cap (the bit where it’s used to clip onto a pocket) to just push the SD card gently into it’s seemingly over deep dock.

With regards to the external SD card, at first I was using a 32gb class 10 card — the device saw it and asked me to reformat it which I did, it came back with the message that performance may be affected as a faster card should be used (or words to that effect), this is a class 10 card mind which I would have thought would have been hi spec enough. Anyway no problem not bothered too much about speed on this. Later that day I powered the tablet up and it said that the SD Card was missing, checked the port and it was there, checked my files folder but there was no external storage listed — although if I went into the clean menu it was being picked up there. Mounted and dismounted the card, again not the best port for this the card has to go deep before it docks properly, switched it on again with the same result. Tried another card from one of my cameras — this is a 64gb V30 card specifically for 4k so it’s a fast card. Mounted that one, switched on. This time it worked, I didn’t format the card (as I didn’t want to lose the pics) but I was able to access it. So it seems that you need to pay attention to the card you are using if you need the external storage as it doesn’t look like a regular class 10 card will work.

Apart from my dislike of the SD port and it’s “fiddlyness” it’s a handy little tablet, its well made and perfectly capable of doing what is asked of it with regards everyday use with ease.

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersIt’s sometimes difficult to get a review quite right because you can come to a different conclusion by looking at the product in different ways. This is one such product. I’m a long-time owner of a number of tablets, mainly Apple iPads, but also Amazon Fire 8, and depending on which tablet you’re expecting to be closer to will dictate how you view the HAOVM MediaPad.

When it comes to tablets Apple remain in a league of their own. But you’re paying through the nose for that. I have a 2021 iPad 12.9″ Pro which I use for business, my streaming/gaming leisure time and as a media centre. It was a very expensive, but justifiable, purchase because it is an incredible device which relegates my laptop to a sideshow. I reviewed that recently based primarily on its abilities, because if you’re buying a device like that the cost of it is a secondary consideration. When I bought the Amazon Fire 8 tablet, however, I was looking for a budget tablet for an elderly family member that could do basic functions such as access streaming services, email and the internet with a big enough screen that my mother-in-law could see but not struggle to hold or operate. If I was looking for much more than that then I would have been disappointed, but I wasn’t, and it nailed the brief perfectly. Two very different tablets each getting warm praise from me.

So where does that leave the HAOVM MediaPad? Well, it’s clearly pitched at the budget end of the market with a price at time of review of 129.99. You can get the Amazon Fire 8 for quite a bit less money than that if you’re prepared to put up with adverts subsidising the device, or the more recent Amazon Fire 10 for a little bit more which doesn’t have adverts and is an all-round better device than the 8. All of the Amazon Fires use a proprietary version of Android, in that it’s tailored towards Amazon’s eco-system but the foundations are Android. Some Android apps may not be available though. There’s also a bewildering number of tablets around the same sort of money as the HAOVM from equally unknown brands, offering similar spec and functionality. How do I feel the HAOVM fares?

Actually, really quite well. If you manage your expectations you’ll be pleased with what it can achieve. It’s not a shouty device, the design is pretty plain and there’s little to stand it apart from any other tablet at this price point. It has a brushed texture effect on the back, and the screen has quite a large bezel around the screen. There’s a USB-C charging point and micro-SD card slot on the top, Power/Screen on/off button and volume up/down buttons on the right which stand quite prominent so are especially easy for elderly fingers to find, and a headphone jack. There’s a front-facing camera on the long edge and on the rear is a back-facing camera with flash. If you’re looking for a case for the tablet I’ve had a look on Amazon and there’s nothing I could find that specifically stated this device, but you might find that it’s a pretty standard layout and a generic third-party tablet case might fit. I can’t guarantee that though.

The screen feels a little on the budget side. It actually feels quite like the Fire 8 tablet we have. It has a texture to it, quite dissimilar to the silky-smooth feel of an iPad, which almost makes you feel like there’s something on the screen that needs cleaning off. It’s a functional screen, and doesn’t have the feel that it’s sensitive enough to pick up your every touch. I found myself constantly checking what I was typing to make sure it had picked up my inputs. But, again, at this price point the screen is similar to any other.

Overall, the feel of the HAOVM is one of a tablet made to a budget, but functional enough to do the job and not leave you distraught when the kids tip ice cream all over it.

In operation, it’ll deliver what you’d expect from an Android device. If you’re familiar with that eco-system you’ll be comfortable here. After testing the device I’ve set it up and given it to my 70 year-old mum to keep. She has a Samsung Android mobile and after spending about an hour mirroring the two devices and setting her up with all the streaming services, Microsoft Office and a few other apps I know she’d like, I left her to it. A few hours later she was texting me to say how wonderful it was.

And that returns me to my original point. My mum, your parents or children maybe, quite probably have no need for the bells and whistles that an iPad might provide. If they do then great, get an iPad. But unless you or they do, a device such as the HAOVM MediaPad will be perfectly serviceable. My mum has access to watch Prime, Netflix, Disney+, iPlayer, ITV Hub etc, she’s got the full suite of mobile Microsoft Office apps (by subscription), can surf the internet to her hearts content and also interact with all of the Alexa-enabled devices I’ve littered her home with. It’s a bigger screen than her mobile, which she was struggling to see properly, and that also helps her operate the device as she has quite bad arthritis in her hands. She absolutely loves it.

So, provided you understand that you’re not getting an iPad, but appreciate that you’re getting a very functional and capable tablet, this is a great value purchase. It feels a little cheap, you won’t be using it as a desktop replacement or creating large movie or photographic projects in Adobe, but for the vast amount of users the HAOVM MediaPad will be a great purchase.

    Android 11.0 Pie Tablet 10 Inch,HAOVM MediaPad HP10P Tablets Octa-Core 1.6GHz Processor,3GB RAM,64GB Storage,10.1″ IPS HD Display Screen,5G WiFi,128GB Expand,GPS,Type-C Port,Brushed Texture Back.

This arrived very well presented in its own box and ten covered in cellophane…… So it would be suitable to give as a gift.

This is I’d say a mid range android tablet, HAOVM is not a brand I’ve heard of before either.

It was easy enough to set up and the only issue Im finding is that it’s not recognising the SD card, at first I thought the ad card was faulty so I then try another and again not finding it!

I like the textured back as it seems to let me get a better grip on it.
It’s not the lightest tab on the market, in fact I think it’s too heavy, it’s alot heavier than my 10.1″ huawei and I thought that was heavy, could do with been lighter in weight!

The operating system is android 11 pie and its 64gb of memory, its powered by a 64bit octa core cpu processor.
It has a 10″ display that’s very clear.
It charges fast and once fully charged lasts for 7-8 hours.

It doesn’t seem to be quite as fast as my Huawei tablet but then again the specs on that are better.

I can reccomend this tablet, all runs fine apart from the SD card issue!
For the price of 129.99 it’s an OK tablet.
Ideal for Kids as you know how clumsy they can be with tablets, so you don’t want to be paying a high price for a tablet for a kid.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does not recognise the SD card when inserted!

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersFirst of all it was very easy to set up and you can connect to your google account to upload your information. As this was meant for the kiddos I started fresh. The tablet is nice and slim design. Feel good to hold and is lightweight. The colour is great and sound quality is pretty good. The camera however is letdown. The battery life is good and lasted ages without changing it. First thing we notice is that my daughter went to the garden with the tablet and the WiFi was gone and you have to put and select the provider and put the password again. Second thing we notice is that it switches off the screen it locks itself automatically within a an hour of using it. I’m not sure if the screen is sensitive but keeps happening non stop and it get really annoying. This has build memory 64GB and the screen is good size 10 inch and has 3GB RAM processor. All in all good budget tablet but not sure why the screen keeps locking itself off continuously. Overall I would recommend it if want a device for fraction of the price and good quality.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good size and good value.

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersReally impressed with this tablet, especially for the money, was very simple too set up takes about 10mins runing through the set up screen, standard really.

The screen is crisp, it’s not a oled 4k resolution, but for what itis, it’s very good, screen is crystal clear colours very vivid, text very sharp!

Images & videos look fantastic on the screen, camera is OK, but haven’t used a tablet as of yet where the camera has been modern phone standard, it’s fine for what itis.

The OS is snappy, haven’t found any lag scrolling through apps or surfing the Internet, everything works very well and fluently.

Battery life is fantastic, fully charged and heavy use, I can get a solid 8 hours that’s watching a film on full brightness followed by some gaming, youtube etc. Very impressed with the battery life its definitely enough for any user.

The design of the tablet is nice enough, feel premium, from the back, on the front it dose look alittle old style, the bezel is pritty thick I’m so used to now seeing tablets with next to no bezel at all, and personally I don’t really like the frount facing camera on the side, rather than top, but that’s just personal preference! Frount facing camera is actually very good, works well pritty sharp no issues at all, but not the best in the market eather.

As for the on board speakers, again there actually really good, not brilliant as you would expect, but definitely brillant for what you are paying for, sounds clear has some nice base and on full volume you will definitely hear what’s going on.

Overall this tablet is pritty solid, it’s won’t rival the best on the market but it dose the basics very good, and for the price you cannot go wrong!

    Would recommend brilliant value!

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant value table
