This is a really portable vacuum cleaner. Only let down with it’s tricky assembly and if it hadn’t been for YouTube I probably would still be scratching my head how to put it together. This was a case of a picture doesn’t paint a thousand words. Tricky to fit the chamber and vacuum together after emptying but in terms of vacuuming – the best I’ve ever had. Come on hoover – we could do with a little help
It’s good to keep this handy,keep out of sight but you know it’s there when you need it,attachment is ok but doesn’t always stay put.
Nice little vacuum for picking up small messes. Stores nicely in the charger and picks up well. Easily cleaned. Its feels funny at first due to the stick shape not being natural.
The device provides sufficient suction for most tasks I’ve given it, mainly vacuuming up small objects and dust, especially when combined with the included brush tip in the latter case. I do feel however that it could use increased suction to make such tasks easier, and that it might struggle with more difficult dirt.
All in all it’s a simple and convenient way to remove dirt in places where a full size vacuum would be unwieldy, or if you wish to have a vacuum specific to desks/shelves etc.
We had to return our first purchase as after one use, the battery kept dying within 30 seconds of use. The second hoover has been fine although we do often get a false negative about the battery if the filter has dirt in it – once cleaned, it kicks back into life. The filter is extremely sensistive so you need to empty the hoover after every use.
I had noticed before I bought this product about multiple reviews noting that the battery cut out after 10 seconds following a few days of using this. I also had this problem and was a click away from sending it back. However, I done a bit of investigated first and realised the it was only when the collection system was attached that this happened. Upon removing the filter it was filled with fine dust, once this was cleaned, the vacuum was back to normal. This is due to the vacuum having a thermal cut out to avoid overheating within the motor.

Overall, this is worth the money for the small stuff, it has good suction, extremely lightweight and has a good battery life, considering the size of it.
Neat and tidy setup. Docking Station keeps all accessories together, Docking the hoover after every use to have full charge for 2nd wave hoovering. Love the way this handheld works and feels In hand. Led is a plus to shine light in them dark areas to see crumbs. Only thing that I jave found to need irritating is the attachment nozzle has nothing to clip into therefore it has come off twice whilst hoovering. Had there been a clip to secure this wouldn’t be a issue. Also battery lasts about 10 to 15 mins bare in mind this thing is only supposed to be used to quickly pick up crums,sunction I found to be very good on smooth surface. Carpet is slightly more tricky but I o ly use in kitchen surface and on floor tiles so I’m fine. Overall il give this 4 out of 5.
Edit- (25.08.23) I’m now coming upto the 2nd year owning this, never once had a problem with it. Battery life isn’t amazing but does me fine 🙂
I got this in a warehouse deal for a lot less than it normally is. If I had paid 100 I probably would have returned it as it’s definitely not worth that but the price I paid I’m more than happy with the product.
The suction is fine for what I require it for, the battery life could be better but I think all handheld hoovers offer the same kind of battery life. I have had this for 4 weeks now and have used it daily since getting it and there’s no sign of it cutting out. Would definitely recommend but not with the 100 price tag:” 🙂
I love this, it sits on our kitchen counter and even my 5 year old can use it as its so light. A few weeks after I got it the battery seemed to fail where it wouldn’t stay on for more than a few seconds. However I spoke to a man at Hoover who said it was very important to properly clean the filter every couple of weeks – not just empty it. That totally fixed it and it still runs really well.
Update June 2022: still working incredibly well. Still very happy with the product.
I have seen some reviews stating their battery stopped charging. I think in many instances that their filter needs cleaning, as the machine will cut out and provide the exact same red flashing light as when the battery has run out. If you experience this clean your filter. It might sort the problem.
Old review: This vacuum is used three/four times a day in my house to clean the sofa of Jack Russell dog hair. It cleans up so quickly and easily I’m truly amazed at the power for the size and how effectively it picks up. If you leave more time between cleans then it may take you longer but for me it cleans up a whole bunch of dog hair in about 2 mins on a large sofa. It’ also a brilliant little duster. I sold my Dyson V10 to get this hoover and an Ecovas Deebot robot vac. I’m delighted with my decision.
A very good little hoover; powerful suction which pulls the carpet !! For a small item it’s incredible. The charging unit is a bit flimsy but holds itself together. The unit appeared to have been used some scuffs and fluff on it. The light at the end that comes on when I’m use makes hoovering so easy. I have a messy chinchilla and it is so handy to tidy up the mess without getting the large hoover out. When using it there appears to be a fan that can sometimes blow the things you want to hoover away!! But I would recommend this product it is very good at sucking things up and the tools help to get the more tricky places
The handy is as it’s name suggests – very useful. It can’t be ever be considered a main vacuum, but should be seen as a companion vac. At under 700g – It is the ideal replacement for a dustpan and brush for my 80 year old mum. The length of the unit is just right for reaching the floor and long enough to reach up to the ceiling to suck up cobwebs. The pet attachment is useful for furniture and areas of carpet. LED light at the nozzle is helpful. The suction is really good for such a small gadget. The only downsides are the relatively high RRP (you could buy a full size vacuum) and the 3 hour wait to charge for 15min use. But if it’s always in the cradle it’s not a problem.
Very pleased with my new handy little vac. So easy to use, lightweight and compact. It does have a short battery life but I’ve found it lasts long enough to do little rooms, the stairs and spot cleaning. It is surprisingly powerful for its size. I got the Pets version of this vac not because I have pets but because I have long curly hair and believe me it gets everywhere. The little powered brush attachment works well and gets my hair off my rugs and door mats well. Only negative is the attachment is quite small so fills up with my hair quite quickly but the little cleaning brush that comes with it does a good job of removing it. I have a mix of hard floors/laminate and carpets and it works well on all of these. I like the LED light that lets you see the area you are working on well (especially if your eyes are going a bit). Life is so busy at the moment that I don’t seem to have the time to do a top to bottom house clean but this is just right for me to do quick cleaning boosts and is even good for dusting away the cobwebs as I can just reach my ceiling with it and it is very light and easy to use. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and it has made my life a lot easier.
I love this lightweight Hoover! It is so quick and easy to use, I just leave it docked in the charging station so it it always ready. The station also keeps all the bits stored away tidily. It is perfect for the hard to reach areas and for those quick touch ups. The pet tool is great for the stairs and for picking up my long dark hair. A full charge allows me to vacuum two flights of stairs. My only criticism is the length of time between charges. I wish it charged quicker or lasted a little bit longer. Some of the parts are a bit stuff too but these are loosening with use. It cannot replace a full size vacuum but I highly recommend this for those smaller jobs!
This is part of an insider review for the H-Free Handheld. The vacuum arrived very well packed (so well, that I couldn’t find some of the bits hiding under the cardboard sections!) and was easy to assemble. After placing on a desktop charger for the allotted time, the hoover was easy to use, lightweight and very good at picking up smaller crumbs. The motorised head is a joy to use and I would definitely recommend this for small jobs around the house rather than using a full size vacuum cleaner. I’ve used a great many of these devices, they sometimes lose suction or generally don’t have enough power to complete a full job. This little device is excellent however and I have no hesitation in recommending it! Update : it can be a little frustrating that the main unit sometimes doesn’t connect to the base motor. You have to really push it in until you hear a faint click to ensure it’s secure.
This is a nifty little handheld vacuum which is lightweight and easy to use. I found the battery lasted about 20 minutes which is more than enough time for hoovering up spillages. I used it on wooden and carpeted flooring and the suction was adequate for both. The brush tool is perfect for skirting boards. It would be ideal for using on stairs as it’s easy to manoeuvre around. I particularly liked the light which makes it easy to see into all the dark corners. A really useful cleaner to have at hand for all those annoying crumbs and spillages.
The Hoover’s suction is great, and I am able to vacuum without having to move furniture out of the way as it is so slim it will fit in places that the Vax couldn’t. I am very impressed with the suction – I didn’t even have to use the special pet hair attachment to get rid of all the cat hair on the sofa.
The battery life is poor, however I appreciate that if the battery were larger, the Hoover would also be larger. I haven’t timed it but I estimate it lasted about 8 minutes. It recharges quickly, and the charging station is really handy as it holds the hoover securely whilst it is charging.
The Hoover comes with several attachments and guides, but I decided to see if I could assemble it without using the guides – it was very quick and easy to put everything together.
The only negative that I can think of is that when using the short attachments the outlet fans on the sides of the Hoover which blow out air whilst in use are angled such that the air gusts can disturb the stuff you are trying to suck up (loose hairs, dust, crud etc.) This can be a bit annoying as it spreads it further, but this is only a small niggle and I am definitely pleased with the Hoover. It is impressively powerful and does the job nicely.
The new handy Hoover is very easy to use. I keep it charging on my kitchen cabinet where is ready for any small job. I tend to use it after each cooking as a supplement of my main hoover. It works perfectly in corners, small areas, on sofa and I particularly enjoy the fact that that it is quite a powerful machine for its size. It will work very well for small jobs as it takes seconds to unplug it and use it. It takes an hour or so to charge and the battery last for the next few days.
I wasn’t sure if I would get much use out of this handheld hoover at first, but now I couldn’t be without it. It’s small & neat, so you can keep it easily in the kitchen or hallway on charge, so it’s always to hand for that quick clean up of mud walked through the hall, or crumbs on the kitchen table. I have found it so convenient to grab and quickly hoover down the sides of the sofa. It is powerful it doesn’t struggle at all. The dust collector section needs to be emptied quite often so that the filter doesn’t clog up. The attachments work well, being 3 in 1, which is a nozzle with a bit that slides over to make it a brush nozzle or turn the attachment around for a nozzle with soft edges for textiles. Everyone in the house has used this as it’s so easy to grab & clear up any mess. Very pleased with it.
The hoover itself is quite ideal for quickly hoovering small spots without the need for any plugs or a big hoover. The attachments work quite well and the stand is quite stylish in the way it holds everything. What I did find a little disappointing is that it can be quite difficult to click the two ends of the hoover together once emptied and the hoover will stay on if its not clicked in place therefore you may not know this until the end falls off while hoovering. In terms of the design, its quite sleek and easy to hold, not heavy which is always a bonus and also quite user friendly. It’s also easy to empty and clean the attachments. I do particularly enjoy using the hoover with the light as it allows me to see any small bits that may not be visible in the dark. I have also noticed the suction gets weaker as the battery begins to drain but I do feel as though the battery does not last very long. If using for small spaces, it is fine but with a task such as the stairs, it may be an issue. Maybe a rechargeable battery or something to help tackle this
The H-Free Handheld is an excellent little hoover. As it’s so small and compact it is ideal for using in the car and for quick tidying around the house.
The instructions for assembling the hoover and accessories aren’t the easiest to understand and it’s a bit fiddly to set up the charging stand/storage unit. Once assembled it’s very simple to use and works very well.
My only complaint is when vacuuming the expelled air can actually blow whatever you are cleaning up all over the place! This is less of an issue on carpet but on hard surfaces can be a bit of an issue.
On the whole I’d recommend the device, mainly for car use.
Great cordless hoover for quick clean ups e.g. crumbs from food or dust on furniture. Easy to use and it comes with attachments for upholstery and getting into corners. One con is it didn’t come with instructions although it is intuitive that you can work it out yourself. Charge is long enough to whizz around the house for a spot clean and I only need to chase it 1-2 times a week as I only use it for crumbs etc after eating binging on biscuits on the sofa! haha. It is a bit bulky but is lightweight so not too much bother and it comes with a charging cradle which makes it easy to store away and doesn’t take up too much space. I don’t own a car but I can imagine it makes cleaning the car a dream as well! It also has a light at the front making it easy to clean up in dark places which is a nice touch! I would definitively recommend.
It feels lightweight and comfortable in my hand. For its small size the H Handy 700 it does have a strong suction power.
I have used it to clean up crumbs on the dining table and kitchen surfaces. The hand held cleaner makes it easier to clean my carpeted stairs instead of using my full sized vacuum cleaner. The brush tool is great for cleaning along the skirting boards.
The canister for holding the dust/dirt is small so it does get full quite quickly but it is easy to open up and empty. The battery charge seems ok, I used it a few times for about 5 minutes and noticed the light battery low flashing. It doesn’t seem to take too long to charge.
When not in use the whole unit fits nicely on my kitchen counter and fits in nicely with my other appliances. The price is reasonable and I more than happy that I made this purchase.
This lightweight vac has just as good suction but it so lightweight and easy to use, its perfect for doing my stairs or countertops in a matter of minutes!
I love the design and its so handy to just pick up and go when needed. The docking station is simply and easy to use and I love the fact that the attachments fit into it. (I always tend to misplace these things in random drawers, never to be found when needed!)
It has been handy in the car and has been pretty good with my upholstery as my dog is now starting to shed.
Its super easy to empty but due to its size, it did fill up quite quickly (I blame the dog).
All in all I think its super bit of kit!
As soon as it was charged up, I thoroughly tested it on a number of different surfaces, including a fabric covered armchair, a wooden floor and a rug.
We have a German Shepherd Dog so it was mainly dog hair and some dust that the hoover had to clean up. It’s suction is powerful and it cleaned the above items easily.
What I would say is that this is a HANDHELD hoover so I only ‘patch cleaned’ the above . I actually called it ‘my electric dustpan and brush’ which I think is quite an accurate description.
Because of it’s small size, the canister holding the dust and dirt fills up quite quickly so you just have to be aware that it has to be emptied on a regular basis to prevent blockages and overheating.
All in all for it’s price, a great little hoover, brilliant for patch cleaning and maybe sucking up small spillages – I would recommend to family and friends.
Its incredibly lightweight and can hold a lot more dirt that you would think. It charges very quickly and has lasted at least 15 minutes every time we have used it.
The charging cradle is unobtrusive and the machine slots into it really easily (unlike some others where you think you have sat the device in the charging point correctly, and come back several hours later to find it hasn’t been charging!) Due to it’s size, the cradle can pretty much be placed anywhere where you have a plug socket, and it doesn’t look out of place.
The filter is easy to clean and comes apart with no hassle.
On a final side note, the item was packaged well and it felt like a really high end product as soon as I opened the box.
Overall, I’m very impressed with this product and I would definitely recommend to others.
I just love this product, it is going to make my life so much easier. It is so compact, lightweight and easy to store but at the same time powerful enough to pick up debris from the log basket!
As it’s cordless and so light it is ideal for cleaning the car and the loft (which has always been out of reach previously).
We have an elderly cat who malts like anything and this is just so handy for picking up balls of her fluff. It’s also great for stairs, gets into all the corners and comes with handy attachments for fabric cleaning too. The charging stand will easily fit in on the kitchen surface and it charges quickly. The light is great for darker corners. It’s easy to empty and easy to clean.
Only downside is that it’s a little noisy but that is due to the power of the suction in such a small device. Vacuuming is no longer going to be a chore with this in the house!
