I’ve been using this Bluetooth speaker to connect to Spotify on my phone when I’ve been relaxing in the living room and I’ve been delighted with it.
Connection was very easy and the sound from the speaker is excellent and very heavy on the bass (which I like, personally).
At the current price of around 400 it’s not cheap — however, it looks great and sounds good too, so I would definitely recommend.
WOW WOW WOW!!! Absolutely amazing speaker, it’s completely blown me away, much bigger and heavier than I expected so in that sense it’s not really portable but it does have holes at either side to move it around with, the sound is absolutely incredible it’s so crisp and clear I’m hearing parts of song backgrounds I’ve never heard in them ever before, the volume is absolutely unreal and on full volume it would give any nightclub sound system a run for its money and it still stays perfectly clear, not even the slightest buzzing or fuzzy sounds, this definitely is the absolute creme de la creme of Bluetooth speakers, the charge lasts as stated around 20 hours and it’s incredibly fast charging once you plug it in, it’s back to full in a few minutes which absolutely amazed me the first time trying it out as I’ve never known anything charge as fast as this ever, it’s definitely worth every penny and I’m so over the moon with mine I’ve already shown it to friends and family and told them all to get one, I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone
At the time of writing this review, the price for this House of Marley speaker is 349.99.
The House of Marley Get Together 2 XL Bluetooth Speaker is an impressive portable speaker that combines excellent sound quality with sustainable materials. The speaker delivers a powerful 60W output, which provides a rich and immersive listening experience. The sound quality is further enhanced by the use of dual 3.5″ woofers and two 1″ tweeters, which provide excellent clarity and depth.
The speaker is also incredibly versatile and easy to use, with Bluetooth 5.0 technology that allows for seamless connectivity with your mobile device. With a 30-meter range, you can enjoy your music without worrying about being tethered to your speaker. The 20-hour battery life is also a standout feature, ensuring that you can enjoy your music for extended periods without needing to recharge.
The use of sustainable materials is another key feature of the House of Marley Get Together 2 XL Bluetooth Speaker. The speaker’s design incorporates bamboo, natural wood fiber, and recycled materials, which not only make the speaker look stylish but also contribute to a cleaner environment.
Overall, the House of Marley Get Together 2 XL Bluetooth Speaker is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality portable speaker that delivers powerful sound and is also eco-friendly. The combination of excellent sound quality, long battery life, and sustainable materials make this speaker an exceptional value for its price.
Wow, the sound quality is unreal! Especially for the size and remembering this is wireless, its better then many a wired set ups I have used from big brands.
The different settings work great for different types of sounds and preferences- with the right music the bassier setting can shake the place at high volume, with no distortion at all!
The fact this is made with recycled and sustainable materials is also a massive plus, packaged so nicely with all recyclable materials and no plastic.
100% would recommend, you will not be disappointed!
I really should read ads more carefully so that I won’t be surprised when things aren’t the size I thought they would be. As this is a bluetooth speaker I thought, nice, it will be perfect to sit on my mantlepiece. Not going to happen! It is about the size of a regular HiFi speaker only much heavier. It is advertised as being portable. Well if having two spots either side of it to put your fingers in and lift it makes it portable, then it is. But seriously, I don’t know anybody who would want to move it once it is in place.
It may be much bigger than I expected, but I don’t mind, I still found a spot for it and I love it. I can’t believe the quality of the sound, it is so pure. The volume is amazing. I had to warn my neighbour that I was going to try full volume on it for a second or two just to see how loud it would be. Then I played the chorus of a song on it and it was incredible. There was no noise distortion and it was like being in a club! Of course, being the nice neighbour that I am, I won’t play it that loud ever. It’s nice to know that is has the capability though!
It is amazingly easy to set up. Just scan for bluetooth devices, find the speaker, click on ‘pair’ and it’s done. I paired it with my TV and my phone, and both worked brilliantly.
Once charged it is meant to last 20 hours before needing to be charged again. I haven’t used it for that long yet so I can’t be sure of how long it lasts. I like to leave devices plugged in, but as the charging cable is quite short I will only plug it in when it needs charging.
As for the speaker itself, wow. Forgetting the perfomance of it, which I already said is amazing, you have the beautiful aesthetics of it. As written in the ad ‘this XL bluetooth speaker is crafted from natural bamboo, premium REWIND fabric, REGRIND silicone & aluminium 100% plastic free & recyclable packaging’. So not only does it look gorgeous but it doesn’t harm the environment. Another wonderful thing is that for every House of Marley item bought, the company has a tree planted!
Another thing to note is that you can put your phone on speaker using this. That might come in handy if you were to take the speaker to use in a public event. Everybody would hear the call easily that way!
This might seem an expensive item, 349 at time of posting this review, but if you love your music and you want to play it purely and loudly, then it is worth every penny.
In the market for a new speaker? How about this Bobby Dazzler?
This is the House Of Marley Get Together 2 XL Bluetooth 5.0 Speaker, 60w Output, 30m BT Range, 20 Hours Playtime, Measures 45 x 18 x 17 x 17cm, Weighs 2.2kg, Made From Sustainable Materials Including Bamboo.
When unboxing this speaker it feels like a real premium product, nice packaging with chunky cardboard that keeps the speaker safe from harm in shipping. Out if the box you get one rectangular speaker, charge lead USB C to USB C with UK (and world) plug adapters, and a set of instructions. This has 20 hours play time from a couple of hours charge which is perfect for a bbq or party.
The speaker looks gorgeous in a nice retro wooden style that is very late 70s, the charcoal fabric goes all the way round includes side grab handle indents with illuminated volume dial, eq, play/pause, back and forward button on top with a bamboo front with 2 x top, 2 mid and the bass speaker is on the rear. All of the finishing here is of the highest quality, the dial has a little click when turning, the buttons are all responsive and wooden front is quite iconic. Just keep away from small children, as we’ve all been there with them messing with speakers. I found Hot Wheel cars in a pair of my open bass bins once, ha!
Connectivity is easy, simply press the volume dial on top of speaker then search on your device and pair to Get Together 2 XL.
On the rear of the speaker you have an aux input via 3.5mm plug for those who don’t have Bluetooth, there is also a USB C and B port for charging.
Using the speaker is great, and the sound is sublime, but remember to use a high quality stream, Deezer 360 is great but Spotify is suffice too, just remember to tinker a bit on your app.
The sound is really decent as you have a bumper 60w output to play with, you get three preset eq levels blue – signature, green – acoustic and purple – bass boost. The pick of these are either acoustic or bass boost depending on what you are listening to. Dance music certainly sounds great on bass boost such as Violently Happy by Bjork, as it’s basically the acoustic setting with added bass. The sound travels around in front of you and sounds really expansive. Acoustic certainly comes into its own on Country music, I tried it on Zach Bryan’s Motorcycle Drive By. I felt like I was in some studio in Memphis whilst he was recording, you can hear all the details on his vox, really good, no autotune here. Very impressed, if you want the live feel, switch to bass boost. Love it.
The speaker also has speakerphone call features, just like earphones do and the real bonus is you can stereo pair with another speaker and switch channels left / right! If you want a full get together you even can do multi-pair in party mode!
Overall I’d say I’m quite blown away by this bit of kit, it looks great, sounds superb and has so many features that are easily controlled by 5 buttons. I’d fully recommend this speaker, as you get exactly what you pay for, a premium speaker at a very modest price in today’s market.
Such a stunning speaker, very easy to set up and it arrives fully charged. Extremely easy to connect to your phone, as soon as you turn it on it pops up on your Bluetooth and from then on it remembers your device and will connect to your phone as soon as you turn it on.
It has three modes, normal/acoustic/base. We just have ours set to base as it makes the most out of the music we tend to listen to.
The sound quality is lovely, crisp with a decent base.
The speaker is lovely on display and we are really impressed with the how long it lasts before it needs to be charged up.
Can’t wait for when it’s warmer weather and we can take it outside.
You can also answer and take calls on it, we haven’t used this feature yet but it’s nice to know that it’s there.
It comes with a very nice charging cable and multiple plug options to suit your needs.
This House of Marley ‘Get Together 2 XL Bluetooth Speaker’ is outstanding in my view. If I could give it 6 stars then I would. The sound is big, loud and full of bass. I asked the families view and we were all blown away by the 60w power. Woofers vibrate and move like the big speakers of my youth, fantastic!
The first thing you notice in the unboxing is how well this is presented. Wrapped in tissue and boxed in really solid protective point of sale packaging which doesn’t contain any plastic. This hints at the House of Marley (yes, they do mean Bob Marley!) sustainability credentials. The facia is Bamboo, the textile outer, frame and other parts are made from recycled or sustainable materials. They even plant a tree when you buy a product.
For the setup there is no app needed. You simply pair against your Smartphone and stream music from your favourite music service. Volume is controlled by the large power knob on top or from your phone as both are in sync with each other. The power knob also comes into play when using the EQ function. Choose between the ‘Bob Marley’ signature setting, bass boost or acoustic. Each glows a different colour from the LED collar around the power knob. You can also link other speakers to it as it is equipped with multi pair technology. It can be used with either Android or iPhone. There is a 30m range for use which will work for most people indoors. You can also use this outside as it is protected to IP65 from dust and water. This means that a shower of rain wouldn’t be a problem.
The intention is that you use this as a standalone battery operated device (it doesn’t have a mains lead) which will run for up to 20 hours on a full charge. This is presumably dependent on the volume used? The charger is supplied with multiple adapters so whether you’re in the UK, Europe, USA or Australia there is no problem when plugging in the charger. The cable supplied is a little short but you could probably use a standard phone cable if you need something longer. The speaker has USB-C and USB-A charging ports. The remaining battery life can be seen in your phones bluetooth settings.
An additional function is that it can act as a phone speaker should you want your conversation to boom across the room.
It is also worth mentioning things it doesn’t have. There is no remote or carry handle although it is advertised as a portable speaker. Both are minor points that mean little to me.
Comes with a 2 year limited warranty against defects in materials and manufacture. More details can be found on the website.
I think this speaker is brilliant and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to you.
Having come late to the world of Spotify and similar services I am blown away by this little speaker. Sound quality is lovely; volume is just fine, loud enough to disturb the neighbours if you are so inclined but perfect for a living room and/or bedroom and it’s portability means it can follow you around the house. Setting it up is intuitive and takes less than a minute. It comes packaged up securely without plastic.
It’s design is a thing of beauty. There maybe audiophiles out there who can comment more on sound quality but for me the sound is gorgeous and I am very very pleased
I love the environmental aspect of the company too.
I use this for my home sound system, and the sound quality is superb. It’s so easy to use and quick to connect. The fact that it has a battery is a bonus. I wouldn’t expect a speaker of this quality to have a battery life as long as this one does.
Bought for our 17 year old who travels a lot for sports. He takes this speaker on the bus to all his games and loves i
Amazing speaker, worth every penny. Sounds is clear as day, volume can be turned extremely high if needed, the battery life is very good and can be charged while using if needed and as a whole it’s a pretty sexy speaker. Can’t go wrong.
A really great looking product with good sound quality and long battery life. The only niggle is that it sometimes thinks it is still connected to another device when it is not and so needs resetting.
Fantastic sound quality that easily equals that of Bose systems.
bought this to match my Marley record player.
Overall sound quality is brilliant, Bluetooth and aux features, aesthetic etc.
Just an all-round brilliant product 🙂
Good audio output!
Nice and loud!
Visually pleasing!
Thank you to the Marley family
The build quality of these speakers is phenomenal. The bamboo front is gorgeous. The sound from these speakers is very good with quite a flat profile. Great listening experience. Disappointed that the volume isn’t that loud!
Again – I purchased this product to go with the Marley record dec. It is perfect in every way. The sound quality is brilliant and I am so happy I made the choice to by this and the record dec. I am now able to play all my old LPs and singles to my heart’s content.
I would highly recommend this produc
I’ve been using this speaker for 3 years and it’s become one of my favourite things I own. The bluetooth always pairs easily with every device, the sound is loud and clear with plenty of bass, and the battery lasts a good while. It’s genuinely quite stylish too, it looks good, it feels good. It’s done plenty of traveling over the last 3 years and it’s still working good as new.
All good, the speaker looks nice and sounds clear, although I am no expert on hifi quality. The only issue was the virtually nonexistent instructions. I managed to work it all out but some written guidance would have been useful.
A brilliant speaker…..I have entertained using this speaker and guests were amazed that the sound of that quality came from such a small device
It looks good and sounds great too.. worth every penny. You will not be disappointed.
We got this speaker from a high street store for the same price, to go along with a Roberts record player recently bought from John Lewis. In the interim we had used an old speaker of mine but were keen on getting something more substantial.
I did have the romantic idea of getting two large speakers akin to the old style record players from the 80s but buying this there is absolutely no need.
The colour is slightly different from the record player but still looks good. It’s robust, sturdy and very easy to use. Haven’t bothered with the Bluetooth yet and we don’t plan on using it wirelessly anywhere so I can’t comment on battery life, but generally it is a very powerful speaker – I’ve not gone to full volume yet but there’s no sign of diminishing quality with volume.
Its perfect to have on the background and I can’t wait to to have it on when friends are over.
Well worth the purchase.
Good value for money. When I received my order there wasn’t a charger included. However, on contacting the seller the issue was resolved within a matter of days. Excellent PR.
Can’t say enough about how good this is .Battery life is good but there’s always room for improvement with batteries. Excellent value for money as was 40 cheaper than anywhere else
The most expensive wireless speaker I have purchased to date… but well worth the money!
The sound fills the room and with a bold presence at higher volumes without any distortion. The sound is rich and well balanced and it brings out the nuances of all music I’ve played through it so far. Details that I only normally hear clearly through earphones are faithfully reproduced by this marvellous speaker.
It is well made and feels substantial, like it’s going to last. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend the product.
I purchased this from Costco and was tempted by the Bose mini 2 but that was base heavy in my mind.
I have this connected to my computer via the Aux port and leave it plugged into the mains. Sound quality is really good and I can hear the vocals really well with just the right amount of base. I have also used this via my Iphone X and again it sounds really good. If you do want to use it via bluetooth make sure to disconnect the Aux cable.
Great sound, and it looks awesome too. High quality sound at a good volume.
I decided it was time I got “with” the age of digital music and stopped faffing about with CDs and used the bluetooth (and apps like Amazon Music) on my phone to listen to music. The first bluetooth speaker I purchased (not from Amazon) was a cheap affair and sounded like it. It was almost enough to put me off, but when I saw this I thought I would give it another go.
I’m not going to comment too much on the materials used as they are given enough coverage in the product details above, all I will say is that it feels like a good, solid and sturdy product and that’s what counts to me. What’s really important though is the sound quality and that is fantastic!
Battery life seems pretty decent and it should be noted that you can also play music by plugging a cable from the headphone socket of your phone to the speakers instead of using bluetooth. Ideal if you want to save a bit of battery on either device, or for things like an iPod. There is a USB port but it should be noted it is just for charging rather than for playing MP3 files from a USB stick, which is slightly disappointing.
What a great speaker! I was pleasantly surprised by this as I wasn’t expecting much having tried a range of bluetooth speakers over the years. I currently use a Sonos which is excellent and I haven’t found anything of a similar size and price that compares.
Firstly, I will admit that the speaker was bigger than I was expecting. Most bluetooth speakers that I’ve had in the past have been small and pocketable to some degree, some have been large enough to sit on my desk but this is probably the largest one that I’ve tried to date. Whilst this speaker is portable I suspect that it would be more suitable living in a fixed location at home, mainly due to its size.
Connection is via bluetooth so works with any modern device whether it’s a phone or tablet and is simple enough to pair. It includes a built-in rechargeable battery which should get you around 10 hours of use according to the manufacturer. I’ve been using it for around 2-3 hours a day and can easily get a good five days out of it before it needs recharging. Obviously using it for longer periods will result in more frequent recharging.
Sound wise it is really good, not quite on par with the Sonos that I have but it’s close. The sound is well rounded, undistorted and loud when you want it to be. I’ve tried a variety of different types of music and it seems to be great at playing all of them, I tend to have trouble with some speakers being too bass heavy and not suitable for particular types of music. This seems to handle them all with ease which is something I always look for in a speaker, nothing worse than having one type of music play really well then you change to something else and it seems muffled and overpowered by the bass.
The speaker unit itself is well designed and looks the part with the bamboo wood front and the black cloth top which contains the controls for the speaker. Nothing too complicated just power, bluetooth and volume controls. It looks slightly out of place in my room due to having a white setup at the moment, but if and when I switch to black it should look very nice indeed.
Overall a great speaker if you’re looking for something that packs a punch and you want something to fill the room. It can be easily moved so if you need to move it from one room to another you can do without any trouble. It looks the part and for the size, build quality and sound it matches up to its price point.
Apologies for the dad joke. Let’s get to it. This speaker is awesome. It’s big, it’s chunky, pleasing to the touch and the sound is great.
The whole thing is made of green stuff, bamboo, hemp, recycled hippies etc. This is all well and good but ultimately it’s a speaker with a lithium ion battery inside, it’s eco friendliness is halted rapidly there. That said it’s really nice to look at and touch.
Sound wise, I have a Bose sound link mini which is amazing for the size, however this is just better in every way. Much louder, better bass.
It has a really good battery life, you really shouldn’t be able to run a speaker like this on batteries, but it powers on for over 10 hours.
Bluetooth link worked great with various phones but struggled a bit with my echo dot, but I’ve not been bowled over by the echo so I blame that. Aux input also works well and comes in handy for plugging into your TV to give a cheeky cinema feel.
One downside, the fabric is totally going to get dirty, dust, food, grass, it’s all going to get stuck in there and bug me, but then it’s going to be a unique diary of the places I’ve taken it and the memories it has helped create.
It’s nice to see a speaker that looks a bit less technological, although I’m sure it’s highly technological inside. The bamboo front is lovely, and the “Marley” logo is artfully faded-looking. The black weave fabric on the back is made from recycled PET with cotton and hemp fibre.
The sound is very good, particularly if you like extended (and rather exaggerated) bass. there’s a decent stereo separation for such a small speaker, and the reflex port on the back pumps out a surprising amount of air, giving a rich bass sound. Given the name, one has to assume that the speaker is intended for playing bass-rich music, and it does so very well. It is a lot larger than my favourite Bluetooth speaker, the Bose SoundLink Mini II, and offers broadly comparable sound quality, but it has a much more relaxed, friendly vibe to it, and being bigger you’re not likely to lose it. It’s by no means ungainly. And it looks so nice….
The controls are simple and intuitive: on/off, Bluetooth pairing and volume. There’s an Aux In 3.5mm jack on the back if you prefer not to use Bluetooth, together with a non-USB charging port (15 V, 1.5 Amp) for charging the internal battery (which lasts for about six hours of use) and a USB port for charging a phone from the internal battery. There’s an LED on the back that glows red while charging, and an LED on the top that’s blue when using Bluetooth, and red if it’s not paired or if you’re using the Aux In jack. Bluetooth pairing is easy – just hold the button down for a couple of seconds and the speaker becomes discoverable. It makes funny blooping noises when it turns on or off and when it pairs. Incidentally, it automatically powers-down it it hasn’t played any music for a while – this saves power. But the unexpected “bloop” noise can be a bit startling.
There’s no protection for the recessed plastic mid/bass speakers, so you need to be careful, but the tiny tweeter cones have a rigid plastic bar over them. the speaker is quite heavy, and there’s no easy way to carry it. I find myself using the bass reflex port on the back as a carrying point – I don’t think that does any harm.
I’ve seen that other users have complained of a buzzing noise. I can’t hear one at all: the sound sounds really good. It sounds particularly good out-of-doors – it’s the sort of speaker you want when you’re hosting a barbecue, or just sitting out in the sun with a glass of something palatable.
This unit was my first taste of a ‘House of Marley’ product… and I am very impressed.
Sound: 9/10, the sound is really excellent, just how I like it, nice controlled bass, even at volume, lovely clear mids and highs. So why 9/10? because if you position it near a wall, or on a shelf unit with sides, I found the bass became a little booming; not horribly so, but more bassy than I like. Standing the unit on a solid surface in the open, the sound was stunning. I used the ‘Treble Booster’ EQ setting on my iPhone which helped reduce boominess, more so than the ‘Bass Reducer’ setting. The volume could go way beyond where I would need, and the sound filled the room.
Build Quality: 10/10, the unit is really nicely made, and is surprisingly heavy for it’s size, which can only be a good thing. The real bamboo finish is very well done, and very modern looking. The whole thing has a feeling of being solidly built. It’s larger in reality than it looks in the picture and than I was expecting, so check the dimensions before buying (8.3 x 40 x 12.7 cm).
Connectivity: 10/10, simple Bluetooth connection that worked first time, no drop outs, and a good range using iPhone. Didn’t require any updates or apps to get connected. There is an aux. in 3.5mm jack also.
Practicality: 9/10, it has an internal battery, quoted time being 10hrs, which I can’t confirm yet. A nice touch is a USB port, which will charge devices plugged into it. My reason for 9/10 is the unprotected main speaker cones… whilst the styling is nice, they could be easily damaged with kids about, or even just in a careless moment. Subtle charging and connected LED’s help you know what’s going on, there is also ‘spoken feedback’ from the unit. It comes with a ‘mobile phone’ type charger, which has exchangeable attachments for different plug types, which might be useful to some. No transport case is included.
I totally recommend this unit, very impressive.
The House of Marley Get Together Bluetooth Portable Audio System is a well put together and attractive Bluetooth speaker system. Easy to use straight out of the box (turn it on, press the prominent Bluetooth button, pair with your device and away you go), clad in an attractive combination of wood and fabric (more on this later) and feeling solid it offers decent audio quality across a substantial volume range. If you’re looking for a BT Speaker system for the home that looks a bit different and performs well then this would not be a bad choice.
However, there are a couple of issues you should be aware of before you part with your hard earned money.
Firstly and most significantly, I would question the ‘portable’ part of the product’s name. Yes, it has an integral battery so can be used anywhere. What it is not though, is designed with mobility in mind. For a start the speakers themselves are not terribly well protected from potential impacts with other objects when in transit. With no protective grill over them it wouldn’t take much to crack or puncture either of the drivers’ dust caps. I can’t see them being splash proof or handling being dropped terribly well. This is not a speaker unit you will be tossing in your luggage to take on holiday or to a party.
As the photos of various hipster-ish models on Amazon show, each unit is also about the size of a large house-brick and weighs not far off the same. If you were planning to take the House of Marley Get Together Bluetooth Portable Audio System away with you it would have to be in the back of your car (or VW camper van if you live in hipster-model land).
The second issue I have with the product is the decision by the manufacturers to encase four sides of it in fabric, I get that one of the key selling points for the speakers is that they’re made from natural, ecologically sourced materials like wood and fabric, and that this give each unit a retro-vibe. However, using cloth comes with one significant downside; dust. Or to be more precise the inability to get rid of the dust that will inevitably build up on the speakers over time, or the dirt that might adhere to them if you did take them out and about. First hand experience tells me that the rough, fuzzy fabric used on these speakers not only acts as a magnet for dust, hair and fluff but is almost impossible to keep completely clean. I fear that after a few weeks my House of Marley speakers are going to be one big dust and hair ball.
So, if you’re looking for a BT speaker system you can carry around with you for music on the go the House of Marley Get Together Bluetooth Portable Audio System is probably not the one to go for. As a system for use at home however, it does the business and looks good fresh out of the box. How long it will stay looking that way though, is a tougher question to answer.
Note: This is a review of the House of Marley Get Together Bluetooth Portable Audio System – Black, which I was supplied with for free via the Amazon Vine Program in exchange for an unbiased review.
A good, solid piece of equipment that looks and sounds brilliant, is really useful for playing music from your phone or other device, but the instructions are dire. Connecting the plug is easy and the diagram for that is adequate, but after that, for people with only moderate IT skills, its trial and error or get help from a techie friend, as I had to do. Surely it is not too much to expect a little help – or even a website link that has straightforward instructions? Otherwise, five stars! Must just say how wonderful it is to listen to the BBC iplayer via my iPad and my Marley! Just on the iPad alone the volume and quality of the sound is not good for spoken word programmes and I listen to a lot of radio 4 and 4extra via iplayer and have had to go to my study and listen via the desktop unit now, but with the Marley I can listen anywhere in the house and even on the patio outside, so I am loving it.
House of Marley have been around for a good few years now and are recognisable for their wooden Pine effect product design, even house of Marley headphones also have the Pine effect and this effect gives the House of Marley products a uniqueness and deservedly makes them stand out from the crowd.
MP3 speakers these days are slowly taking over from the traditional Hifi’s as these music centres are becoming a thing of the past. All you need these days to listen to your favourite songs is a smart phone or similar device and a speaker such as this and you are good to go.
The more money you pay the better sound you will purchase, and you could a lot worse than purchase this House of Marley speaker named Get Together.
The rechargeable battery lasts for hours and hours and is easily recharged with the supplied mains adaptor that comes with a range of changeable international sockets.
Linking the speaker to your smart device couldn’t be easier. Simply touch the Bluetooth option and scan for the speaker and pair, that’s all there is to it!!! You can then start listening to your favourite tunes via which ever app you prefer, I personally like using the online radio stations via my online internet radio app. But I also like running through my favourite albums on shuffle mode.
The speaker also has an aux input socket allowing you to connect the speaker to just about anything.
Bluetooth speakers have a fractional delay between device and speaker. Not an issue when listening to music obviously but it is noticeable when watching videos. I have used numerous Bluetooth speakers and headsets, and none of have managed to reduce the delay to almost nothing, until now. Another thumbs up for this impressive speaker.
The sound of the speaker is what really impressed me though. I had it connected and started cranking the volume up to see how high it could go, suffice to say it didn’t take long before the walls of my house started shaking and I didn’t want to upset my neighbours so I thought it best to turn it down. But I felt I had still quite a way to go before even coming close to maxing out the volume. I also note that the bass volume its just about perfect.
All in all its very difficult to fault this speaker, and its certainly the best MP3 speaker I have ever sampled.
