Wow, they’re really good. Bluetooth connectivity to my mobile was so easy, the stereo quality in listening to music was great, and was so impressed with the comfort in my ear. I was doubtful how they would stay in my ears but, despite trying to shake them free, they did not move! Also, noise cancellation is amazing!
Early indications are that battery life pretty decent, enough for me to lay by the pool on holiday or walk the dog, so really happy so far.
The only negative is you can’t skip song forward just pause which if take one ear phone out or falls out like did when I’m boxing it pauses the music so that’s cool.

The value of these buds is so good that I can put up with its operational issues, it is maybe my phone as the buds work as expected with my surface book. The sound quality is excellent, I use Dolby Atmos and have set the equalizer to my taste, clear frequencies and deep bass.
Calls are straightforward, tap to accept. You can also customise the tap functions in the Ai Life app which you need to updated the buds software and also gives you battery performance.
All in all these are great but some ironing out the issues would be really good too.
The case is very slippery in hand and isnt the the easier to open the lid. I find it tricky to open the lid without immediately shutting it again because it just wants to snap shut and trying to get the earbuds out is another task. Iv stil never managed to get them out in one swift pull, I have small fingers but struggle to grasp them to take out.
The sounds and noise cancellation is brilliant and sit comfortably. No problems to connecting to devices. The batter life isn’t the best but not the worst.
iPhone users: if you have an iPhone you will not be able to find this and connect to your phone. After searching many forums the way you have to do it (and supposedly the only way currently bc Apple hate other products) is to connect it first to an android device, download the HUAWEI AI life app and download a new software to the pods to upgrade it to enable IOS Compatibility. Once upgraded you are then able to connect to any IOS device.
This is what worked for me, it’s a bit of a faff but hope it helps!

Sound is absolutely amazing.
I have several good pairs of in ear wireless earphones. And although the others are far from bad these are certainly the best by a country mile.
They are easy to pair and wear. They fit perfectly and very very comfortable to wear.
Although each side is programmable to a point they could have more options. Which means not wondering what you are going to use the most. But there are no physical buttons it’s all just touch control which is far better.
I have these at moment paired to my OnePlus 9 Pro and my Huawei Watch GT2 Pro. But I will at some point be putting them onto my Huawei P40 Pro to see how they perform.
I highly recommend these for those who want champagne for prosecco money.

I brought these as my apple beats products have been terrible (yes, I’m as shocked as you as I’m a big apple fan) so when I saw these I thought, why not? They are just under 60 and ive got nothing to lose.
The noise cancellation and ‘awareness’ mode (by pressing down for 5 seconds on the long branch of the earphones) is remarkable! When my toddler starts a meltdown and screams, I flick onto noise cancellation and boom! Peace!!
I have found the charge is a little dicey it doesn’t last 10 hours on a full charge. More like 5-6 hours. As I like to fall asleep and sleep listening to podcasts.
I’m not sure if the headphones charge from the earphone holder so I have yet to discover that.
Another thing I noticed is that with apple earphones you can alter the volume so low to a whisper whereas with these headphones you can’t. I like sound to be quite quiet when I’m meditating or falling asleep listening to podcasts/relaxing music. However, I’ve still managed to fall asleep with the lowest sound level of these headphones but it was a bit of a bug bear for me when I discovered this.
Over all, I’ve been using these headphones for about 2 weeks now and I can definitely and 100% say I am truly happy with these headphones. They are comfortable and stay in place (if you eat with them
On they come out easily but that’s probably just my ear and swollen jaw bone causing that)
I would highly recommend to anyone considering coming over from the dark side (apple products) to HUAWEI. I consider myself 50% apple and 50% HUAWEI.
Noise cancellation is quite good, which is a problem when someone talks to you. Active noise cancellation is quite crappy for wind or random noises, but for machines/fans/PCR machines running on the background it’s great. The baseline cancellation from the fit is quite good as well. Awareness mode is horrible, but that’s the idea.

Very comfortable for me – I struggle to find good buds as I have small ear canals. These are like a glove! They come with different sized buds so you will hopefully find the right fit.

You must download the AI life app via the HUAWEI app gallery and not play store! Play store app wouldn’t find the 4i. I googled and happened to come across this peice of wisdom on a forum. They should make it clear but other than that, simple to set up.
Not possible to turn up volume on the earbuds, must use phone or voice control gesture set up
No EQ adjustment IE bass is as is! I like my tunes with bass but not everyone does.
Overall, for the price, these are a good 4 stars.
Very comfortable in my ears and seem to have good battery life.
Sound quality is good and noise cancelling works well considering these are in ear buds.
Takes a bit of getting used to using the touch controls, which are limited anyway, but once I got them I could pause music without touching my phone.
My first experience answering a call didn’t go too well but that may have been me not being used to the touch control.
Overall I’m very happy with this purchase. I haven’t tried Apple Airpods but at half the price, these are good value for money.
