Bought a few of these for work. The laptop itself is great – fast, alu chassis and Win 11. Touch ID is great and people very happy with them.
The camera though is stupid. Being on the keyboard and requiring a pop up you basically get a camera view up someones nose. In a bid to have a thin and clean bezel the result was a poor camera position.
Still. If you can live with that, great laptop.
Replacement for a very expensive and only two and a half year old computer. I had an expert set this one up for me, his view was a great little PC at a fantastic price.
This is a great laptop for my step son’s university work.
Looks good, lightweight, fast, great keyboard, fingerprint sensor is fantastic. Great laptop.
Purchased for daughter and college, she has even discarded tablet and works from this unit now
My son very happy taken to California with him light in weight very fast and good battery life
This is my second Huawei product and i am speechless. Just got my laptop today and i am more than happy. I have used many laptops before but this is just simply amazing. 10 out of 10
Got it on ‘sale’ at almost 50% off. I think this should be the real price anyway considering its release date. The laptop is very good for light-medium work. After initial setup, booting into windows takes just 10 seconds.
You can run multiple MS Office applications and play a dozen youtube videos in Chrome at the same time – I did it as a test and it still ran very smoothly. You can play 2D/top-down games, but it will struggle with 3D titles (it has 4GB integrated gpu memory).
The display is 6-bit color, it is ok. On half brightness, the battery only lasted about 3.5 hours of casual use. What I like though is it quickly charges up with just a USB-C cable – no more powerbricks!
It played straight away, updates required as always. Light solid great screen and sound.
If you prefer buttons with the touch pad this may need a mouse.
So far top drawe
Will review when using more but so far does the job
Pros:
* Thin and light.
* Looks nice – silever & purple colour.
* B+ screen for this prove range. 4K Youtube videos look very nice.
* Came with Windows 11 – no bloatware, starts quickly.
* Fingerprint reader on power button – if you power on your laptop with registered fineger(print) Windows Hello will automatically login you on startup. Very neat.
* Good keyboard – but can’t compare to Thinkpads (even new ones).
* Camera is hidden in the middle of top bar of keys (as one of the keys). Clever, works well.
* Good battery life, but could be better.
* 1x HDMI, 2x USB3 is a plus.
* Power via USBC charger – gets pretty hot when charging battery.
* Speakers are just OK.
* Came with SSD drive partitioned as C: (120GB) and D: (400 GB) – more or less. I like this split for OS partition and “data” partition.
* You can use it after quick Windows 11 setup. I think you MUST have create (or use exsiting) Windows Account.
* Came is a simple box with power brick – no silly CDs or other unnecessary “docs”.
Lighter than I thought it could be. Easy to set up and works well. Btw the keyboard is so comfortable if you type a lot. Definitely value for the price.
