battery life on this product is great lasts a long while the sound is great that you can hear game through at same time and can change to mic being louder than game at any time
Purchased to replace a wired Hyper X headset. Good quality sound, comfort is good. Balance controls would be better analogue rather than button controlled but balance can be found between game and voice channels. Holds a good charge and recharges quickly.
Easy to use, sound quality great and really comfortable to wear. 10/10
These were bought for use on my Xbox series X and works a treat, easy install of the dongle and was automatically picked up. but the bonus for me was trying them in my new Windows 11 gaming PC to find they were again automatically picked up and haven’t missed a beat.
Signal wise I can wonder away from the Xbox & PC and into the next room and even upstairs before the signal cuts out which I think is impressive. Haven’t had any issues battery wise but I do top them up with a little charge here and there in-between use.
I like the red light on the mic when muted as it’s a good visual reminder and the green HyperX logo’s on the sides is a cool touch 🙂
I was told by my gaming mates that they could hear themselves when I spoke and they were talking and having gone through all the settings it was fixed by me just lowering my volume a touch, I like things loud, and it seems this sent my audio back down to them. Overall I’m loving these and at such a reasonable price too I think.
Good sound and very comfortable, easy to set up.what more do you need
Delighted with the quality and the battery life is very impressive. It is incredibly comfortable and I am very particular as to how it sits on the top of my head, but it ticks all boxes. This is my second headset from HyperX and I have high regard for them.
I’ve had one for 2yrs now, never gave me trouble, still comfortable, battery still great
Sound is good for the price of it
And it’s hard to find a good wireless headset that has great sound
Overall a great headset, I’ve just ordered artics 9x.. looking for a change is all
Let’s hope I made the right choice!
For starters… The comfort of this thing is really really good. It weighs more than the cloud II but they are still light and have nice soft earcups which just rest really easily on your ears. Nothing hurts and the overall feel of the product is very premium.
Sound quality is again a step up from most if not all headsets i have used. I can hear everything so clearly when playing games such as call of duty, or rainbow six siege that i feel like i genuinely have the competitive advantage. Being able to hear an enemy pushing round doorways in siege from around the corner, so I know when to peak has really improved how I play. Some headsets i have tried in the past, the sound sort of meshes together, where as this really does make you immersed and really hear those footsteps.
Interms of intergration, the headset has a built in mute button along the left earcup, along with two buttons to change up game/chat volume. There are also a volume dial which you can rotate to make things louder or quieter. When muted the mic emits a small light which was a nice touch, and also, hitting the on button can make the headsets “HyperX” Logos on the sides light up. Or “breath” and make the lights flash. nice touch. The headset also makes small tones depending on what you do wether that be turning the volume down or up, or if its on low battery.
The reason this headset does not get a 5 star is because of the connectivity. This headset connects to a dongle which is plugged into the console via USB. it does not have any bluetooth ability and if you plug the dongle into anything else, it wont connect. There are better headsets out there which connect to mulitple devices at the same time. If hyperX make a headset which is wireless, without the dongle and has bluetooth capabilities it will surely be the best headset on the market.
Overall it is still a fantastic product and i still recommend i
Bought for my husband and he said it’s great apart from the mute button is annoying because of where it is and it falls off his head and he has a big head so watch out for that. But sound wise it’s amazing
After trying two other wireless headphones for the Xbox series X, this was the only without any glaring flaws. Sound quality is decent, comfort is great and battery life excellent. The connection is superb, I have had no dropout or crackle when connected to the dongle, a major flaw I have found in other headsets. The only downside for me so far is when you turn sidetone on it is incredibly strong, I can hear everything outside of the headphones, me clicking my controller, people talking in the other room. All I want sidetone for is to hear my own voice slightly to make sure I’m not shouting. Besides this I love the headset and will be keeping it for a long time.
The built in chat/game mixer is a godsend especially when you need to perform an audio rebalancing in a multiplayer game.
Stereo seperation is first class and this is especially important in multiplayer matches where a good headset can give you a significant advantage. It requires no setup and it’s a plug and play solution and is initialised during the Xbox boot up process
Mic monitoring or sidetone is “best-in-class”. I absolutely require good monitoring on all my gaming headsets so to not shout during competitive matches and so also still be able to hear my surroundings, when someone knocks at the door or the phone ringing. This can be disabled if needed but again this is the best implementation I have ever heard
Battery lasts about 20 true hours game play so enough to last you a week or weekend depending on your needs
Do I recommend this headset. Yes absolutely – the headset is also PC compatible and I use this for teams or zoom meetings.
If you’re on XBOX and you need a wireless headset give this one a serious thought.
Another commenter wrote that this headset requires 7.1 surround to be feasible in today’s market. This is false statement as all 7.1 implementations are done in software and much maligned by gamers. If you do want to experience surround you can choose Windows Sonic or buy a Dolby Atmos license in die Xbox menu. Dolby Atmos is compatible with all stereo headsets and the best surround sound implementation on the market today
I had a pair of turtle beach stealth 600 which i thought were good but they dont hold a candle to the sound quality in these.
Also it does work on PC just fine, not sure why they say it doesn’t.
Construction is mostly plastic and although it feels a little less solid as a result, it does make the headset lighter and therefore more comfortable to wear for longer. The microphone is detachable, this is handy for me as I store the headset in a drawer and it means the mic doesn’t snag on anything or get damaged. Lighting is featured on each side of the headset, this can be set to on, breathing (pulsed on and off) or just off and it looks pretty good in its Xbox green.
Connectivity is provided by a USB dongle which plugs in to your Xbox. As there is only one front-facing USB port on the console I have tended to plug the dongle into the rear, where it still works fine. This leaves the front port free for a controller charging cable. Sometimes the dongle needs unplugging and then re-plugging to be detected by the Xbox but it’s not a big hardship.
Wireless performance is good and the sound is generally very reliable, rich enough that it sounds good. The microphone is similarly reliable and picks up voice well. Volume is controlled by a rotating wheel on the right of the headset. On the left there are buttons to increase the volume of party chat or your game.
I’ve tried a few different headsets with my Xbox and this is by far my favourite, whilst not being in the price bracket of premium products. The wireless functionality is very welcome and sound quality and reliability is good. Definitely worth considering if you need a new headset for your Xbox.
I’ve had two sets of the Xbox branded headsets pack up after 8 months and 5 months, I’ve had two lots of Logitech which have been great but the first had a run in with the Vacuum and lost the end if the cable!, the other pair are still in good condition.
So why are these so good:
* The sound is first class, really takes gaming to another level, hearing details and the enemy sooner helps loads.
* The mic quality is also really good.
* They are super comfy and lightweight.
* The fact they are wireless is the real game changer, you are no longer anchored to your controller, no more tangled wires and just a general sense of freedom to move around while gaming.
I got myself a charging headset stand which keeps these up and out of the way, they also look very cool with the green Xbox colour. I’ve been impressed with the battery life no gaming interruption.
He reports that the sound quality is excellent and that they are an improvement on a previous set of headphones he had.
The fact they are wireless is a plus as there is no wire/lead to be aware of.
I know the noise cancelling is good as he seems to be unable to hear anything once they are in place….not necessarily a positive thing as a parent but fab if you are the gamer wanting a more immersive sound experience from your gaming.
I’m not really a gamer so I got this headset for my son who is really into Xbox. He says the sound quality overall is pretty good and better than the headsets he normally uses (I don’t know which make they are). Also, they are really comfortable compared to other types and don’t get uncomfortable when using them for a longer session. He says the headset is ‘ace’, which I presume means it’s good for teenagers who like cool stuff.
Pricewise, I’d say it’s a bit on the high side, but if you’re looking for an above-average piece of gear, it’s probably worth the cost.
I wasn’t expecting anything exciting, however those are just exceeding all expectations.
The build is plastic, however it feels super premium, not like the Turtle Beach cheap plastic builds.
Ear cushions are super comfortable with memory foam, HyperX style.
Headset is super light and you will forget that you are wearing it, there is no stress on the head or on the ears, also it will fit even if you have bigger head.
The sound is purely amazing, the mic is crystal clear, the noise cancellation is top notch. They sound even better with Dolby Atmos.
The wireless range those things have … there isn’t room in my apartment i can go to loose reception.
Compatibility … literally plug and play on both Xbox and PC, the only difference is that you cannot adjust chat/game volume on PC.
Battery life lasts insane amount of time.
What can i say, those are totally worth purchasing, they are probably the best wireless headset money can buy on Xbox at the moment.
Totally designed for Xbox.
The sound quality is noticeably better over my conventional gaming headset, you are immersed in the game. The over-ear headsets are very comfortable, with foam and adjustable earcups. After hours of playing, your head and ears are as fresh as your first put the headsets on.
The mic piece is removable and when is use it is very useful when playing multi-user games. I don’t notice a difference from my conventional headset.
I have noticed the quality with this headset, it is more premium than my other headsets. Better.
There is no lag because you are plugging the headset directly into the Xbox. Having a Bluetooth headset has one downside charging but this headphone has up to 30hrs of play. Therefore not interrupting an important game midway through.
The LED lights makes the headphone look cool with the matching green Xbox colours.
Overall I’m very impressed with this HyperX HX-HSCFX-BK/WW CloudX Gaming Headset. This is a great product, one worth considering.
There are a couple of minor issues, sometimes the headset won’t pair with the dongle first time…but that’s a fairly minor irritant, and the quality of the mic could definitely be better. There is no bluetooth, so you can only use them with the dongle – you won’t be connecting them to a phone and using then around the house, so they are exclusively gaming related (unless you listen to music through your Xbox (or a PC as you ca make them work with a PC very simply).
This is a solid gaming headset, at the sort of price you expect to pay for something above entry level these days.
The setup of the headset is as simple as can be – plug the USB dongle into the Xbox and turn on the headset. The light on the dongle denotes the headset and dongle are connected.
This is an over-ear headset and very comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions. The quality of the audio is excellent and the on-ear controls are useful.
I particularly like the fact that it is wireless and has a detachable microphone for when you wish to use them as just a pair of headphones. I can confirm that the headset works with a PC too exactly the same as any other USB headset. Not the cheapest, but excellent quality and really delivers on sound.
Playing on the Xbox is surreal with these headset on.
The clarity is out of this world.
This headset is the best yet by non.
Set up is a breeze.
Connectivity is a breeze.
Brilliant, brilliant.
I am not a very technical person, but I have to say that these earphone are pretty impressive and although I am not going to go into all the technical spec I would highly recommend these earphones

I’ve recently owned the arctis 9x and in my opinion the cloudx flight are far superior in audio quality and directional audio. The flight sound clearer while the 9x sounded muffled. I can pick out enemy players on cod from any direction but really struggled to do that with the 9x.
This is a gaming headset designed for gaming so you’ll get the highs and lows you’d expect from a gaming headset.
Chat mix works well, mic monitoring is good and if your into Dolby Atmos or Windows sonic I can confirm this works when selected on Xbox.
