We just bought a house with a large garden. This machine does the job well – the batteries are enough to cover the whole garden in one go, and the metal frame and cutters seem very robust.
Battery lasts long enough to cut my grass twice, be sure to remove the muncher before using, I was going to return it but then realised I had left the mulcher on so nothing was being collected
A great machine, but rather heavy, however this is only a problem when cutting on the lowest setting, as the casing scrapes the lawn making it difficult to push..
But in truth, my lawns are not like billiard tables, but I still feel the blade could be lower in relationship to casing which would give me the required low cut with out the scraping on the grass.
Another niggle is two batteries require two chargers or a twin charger, this is supplied with only one. 52 later and a second charger is arriving tomorrow, but to have included a twin charger would not have increased the cost by much, probably less than a fiver, but certainly not 52 I had to pay. It could easily have been offered as an additional add on when purchasing.
Finally I love my new mower and I am glad I researched the wide selection of cordless mowers on offer, as I am confident that I have made the right choice. Once fully charged I am able to cut my three grass areas, total 175 square meters and again four days later and I am still showing 20% left on the batteries so will fully discharge before recharging on my two chargers.
Also very easy to assemble. Great machine for an old goat like me.
I had a first generation battery powered lawnmower a few years ago from a different well known manufacturer. Great except for the fact that the expensive batteries really did not last very long. I then reverted to a corded mower. Job took at least twice as long given I had to keep manoeuvring the mower away from the cord. I bought the Hyundai on the promise of the long battery life. If it works out as planned the mower should last some years. I am very pleased with the cut provided for my large back lawn. The battery power is more than adequate and there is still some 20% charge left on completion. I would have given the product a 5 star review but for two issues: 1. It is heavy and takes two of us to lift it up the 4 steps to the lawn. Also on this point I might have bought the forward propulsion machine had I known ,as it is quite heavy to push 2. A minor point this but on unpacking I notice a rust pimple in the handle. Not serious enough to warrant a return but nonetheless not something that I expected to see in a brand new product. All said highly recommended but I would suggest thinking about your own strength in terms of suitability with this machine.
I was surprised when the mower came at how substantial and powerful it was. Really pleased that it can be stored on its end to save space in the shed. I like the mulching feature and with its large blade and big grass box makes cutting the grass quick and easy. I have a 90 by 45 foot garden which the batteries easily cope with. Good buy
So easy to set up. Cuts very well with a range of heights. Have a large lawn but the 2 batteries are sufficient to do it in 1 go. Quick to charge up too.
Takes up little room when packed away.
I have a medium sized lawn with several obstacles (i.e. not a rectangular lawn). I bought this lawn mower because of the good reviews it had and the greater than usual battery life (reviews stated about 40 mins).
My previous mower was cabled and it took me over an hour to cut the lawn – avoiding cables, mowing around obstacles, emptying the collection box. I wanted to go battery powered but I was uncertain about the possibility of running out of power before I had finished. But I needn’t have worried! I completed the whole cut with the new mower in about around 30-40 minutes and still had 25% charge left.
The cut was good, generally gliding over the lawn nicely. I did hit a long patch where the grass was still a little wet, it did cut out as it got bunged up with grass but a little shimmy resolved it nicely and I was able to carry on.
I went for the two battery version because I hoped that it would use one battery at a time and I could charge one while the other was in use. However, you must have both batteries inserted for the machine to work. But having said that I was able to do the full cut with without resorting to recharging part way through so it didn’t matter.
I am pleased with my purchase.
Pros: Simple, safe operation. A lot quieter than a petrol equivalent, so my neighbours are grateful. Battery life and charging time exactly as quoted. I can cut a lawn area of approximately 300 sq m and still have 20% battery life left. It’s easy to push – no need for the self-propelled option. Cuts well, with ample height adjustment. Good price for the size of machine/cutting width. The handle collapses so the machine can be stored upright to save space.
Cons: Metal body means it has to be cleaned properly after each use or it will quickly rust/rot once the paint has rubbed off. The handle is collapsible which is excellent, but when in use it feels slightly flimsy and rattles a lot. No (rear) roller, so no stripes. The material used for the hand grip is not very thick so I doubt it will last very long.
I was looking for new battery mower and this fitted the bill, especially as amazon had one discounted in Amazon Warehouse, stating that the transit packaging maybe show signs of repacking and the item may have some minor cosmetic damage, so I took the risk and was very glad I did. Not only was the packaging intact and securely sealed with no signs of any transit damage, but on opening and assembling the item ( which was straight forward and well documented) I could not find any cosmetic damage the lawnmower was in prestige condition and worked straight out of the box. As expected for a HYUNDAI it was as advertised and did a great job of mowing a large lawn which had needed a mow., Due to the need for a new mower my lawn was longer than normal but the adjustable height settings worked very well and three cuts later on the same battery selection (you have 2 fitted) my lawn looked great for the first time this season.
It’s a no brainer quality product and thanks to Amazon Warehouse a great deal.
I replaced my Honda machine when fuel reached 2/litre, chose this. Turned out to be a smart move. Machine is excellent, light, allegedly stainless steel deck (Not checked!!) Obly quibble is 2x40v batteries, single slot charger, 80 min charge. I bought a second charger, ideally Hyundai would include a 2 slot charger. Seriously, that’s only criticism. Since buying, installed a solar charge system, now it’s free gardening!!
only small gripe only a single charger come on Hyundai 500 no double charger !!
Lightweight, battery powered, motor mower does all that is required of it, without noise or smell!

Only gripe was at first I thought that I had only been sent one battery , but the second one was already in the machine
Dislikes. Might be heavy for some on hills. Delivery and customer care leaves something to be desired.
It’s button start kicks in first time and the motor is very quiet too.
Regarding battery power, I’d say that is gives three full mows on my medium sized lawn before charging is required – so frankly pretty good.
My only observation would be that it’s heavier than expected. The weight is in keeping with a similar size petrol mower. But if that’s okay with you, frankly I’ve found this Hyundai mower to be pretty faultless.
