Neat little dvd player, great for in the car. Had an issue with the sound after a few days with our first one but contacted the seller and had excellent service. Unable to solve the problem so they sent a replacement which we received the next day.
This review is for the quality of service I’ve received. My portable DVD player developed a fault within the warranty period. I contacted ieGeek, explained the problem and they sent a replacement very quickly without quibbling. Excellent response. I’ll wait to see how the new player performs before reviewing that.
Bought this little dvd player the picture is very sharp and sound is extremely clear! It is compact great for the car or picnics on the beach! The company are very helpful and give you a 2 year extended warranty!!
I’m really impressed with this dvd player so far, it’s better than the bigger & more expensive one I had before.
Sound is a Little too loud on lowest setting for what I would like, but ok with earphones. The image quality & screen brightness etc are good.
Very easy to use & great swivel design, altogether a joy to use. I like the cheerful colour & compact size.

My kids like watching OLD (as they say) movies on DVD’S, Bought this dvd player for them, it doesn’t skip or freeze, kids really enjoy it, also bought it for myself, I backed up alot of old pictures and videos on to CD’s and now being able to use the dvd player to look back on memories is great. Highly recommend
The DVD player was bought to allow our kids to watch some of the DVDs thatvwe have, especially David Attenborough’s documentaries. They love it. It may not be the best player out there but definitely a great value for money. Highly recommended!
The children use this on holiday. it comes with protective packaging that you can use while travelling, and it’s small enough to fit in a hand-luggage suitcase while leaving room for clothes etc, but the biggest plus is that it doesn’t make a loud whirring noise when playing the dvds, something that was a bit of a problem in the past.
Purchased this on Amazon Day to replace an old Sony unit which died. So far, so good. Great picture, great volume, lightweight. As an added bonus, I was surprised to find that it plays NES games. The customer service responded to a question I had regarding that within one day – better than most there. Overall, I can recommend it. I have not run it long enough to comment on battery life
From the start of the ordering process to delivery it was a great experience and my daughter was delighted when it arrived and has been watching it every day ever since. The battery life is amazing compared to her last few from Argos so definitely great now on trips as well as at home. Easy to use and an amazing screen and definitely will getting another one in the future when this one is worn out from enjoyable use.

This dvd player is a brilliant product. Great sound quality, picture quality is superb. Very easy to use, comes with all very useable accessories. Granddaughter is very pleased as she can watch dvd’s on the go. Can also use sd cards and flash drives. All in all, a very worthwhile purchase and an absolute bargain at the price. I would totally recommend.
Multi region portable DVD player. Has the added benefit of a usb inputs and SD card reader. Holds charge well and screen is a good size.

I decided it was time to find a DVD player and if I could connect it to a tv it would be an advantage. The quality pictures and sound amazing. The features and remote control outstanding considering the low cost. It charges quickly and battery life is ideal and it comes in colours not black. From order to delivery timescale was as promised and the manufacturer is quick to respond. This is a quality product and value for money definitely would recommend
It’s actually not bad, the Audio lacks Bass but in Headphones isn’t too bad. The settings for Audio do allow you to alter the Dynamic Range.
Screen quality is good too, Battery is excellent 4 hours and still going, how this will work over time with recharge I have yet to discover.
If you travel and want something simple when working away or in a Hotel on Holiday and their DVD player is broken then this is perfect. I think so anyway.
It’s not too heavy or space taking so it’s easy to just pop in a bag and bring with you.
It can be used as a console for some games ( I’ve not tried to set that up yet but hey it’s a neat feature).
The sound is great and the picture it gives is also fine.
I bought this for my daughter who loves to watch her DVD’s over and over again, wherever she is! And to be honest it absolutely is fit for purpose. It isn’t high end of the market, it doesn’t do blu ray, the picture and sound quality isn’t the dogs bells, but for the kids, it’s perfect!
It would be great if they’d sell a bag with it, we had to buy a bag to transport it around in!
Also, I love that you charge it and then it’s wire free for a good 4 hours!!
I suppose my reasons for buying it are rather unusual – it’s not for children, or for travelling, or as our sole means of watching DVDs – but I just wanted some means of watching DVDs of films and series that my wife isn’t bothered about watching, on my lap or in bed. Our regular means of watching a film or a series is on our laptop, which has a large 17″ as we use it instead of a TV. It’s great, but it’s a big old beast if you want to balance it on your lap.
If I want to watch something on my own, I’d normally use the laptop to convert the files to a format that will play on my iPad, and use that instead. But that takes time, and not everything can be converted.
So. That’s where this little chap comes in.
Let’s start with the housing. It’s light, it’s plastic, and I can imagine that if you were t careful with it, it could break and crack in all sorts of places very easily. So I’m going to be careful with it. But it’s light, which is just what I wanted.
It’s a very very nice size. Easy to balance on a lap, and the screen size is perfect for the viewing range.
The picture quality? It’s okay. If I’m perfectly honest, the colours are a little lurid, and the sharpness isn’t brilliant, but what do you expect?? If I wanted HD I’d use the big laptop screen! I grew up with those little pocket LCD televisions, which I watched under the bed covers and thought were amazing, so maybe I’m easily pleased, but I think the picture quality on this is just fine. Perfectly watchable, and clear enough for me.
The sound quality? That’s surprisingly good! Really good, in fact. If I’m using the speakers the volume needs to be up fairly high, but I use headphones 95% of the time and the sound is superb. Really clear, with no hiss or machine noise.
Audio is more important to me than the picture quality, so this is a clear win.
In terms of machine noise, yes, there’s a little bit of “fuss” when it starts up, and some when you switch from chapters to scenes etc, but it’s really not that bad. My wife was asleep in bed next to me and it didn’t disturb her.
I’ll be honest, I can’t really see a need for a remote control, so I haven’t used that yet. I guess if you’re connecting it to a TV you’d need it??
The buttons on the unit itself are a bit loud and clicky, but I’m not exactly going to be typing a letter on it, so I don’t really care.
The price is very reasonable, the build is fine, the picture quality is good, and the sound is great. It does exactly what I wanted, and I’m very happy!
Very disappointed with the product. When I first opened the package, I was totally shocked with the look and feel of the DVD player. The plastic casing looked and felt cheap and tacky. The picture quality is fairly acceptable; however, the sound volume is extremely poor, you can barely hear it even when the setting is on max. In fact, I doubt very much if you’ll be able to hear it if you play a DVD in a room with background noise. I would not recommend this product at all even at half the price.
Since writing this review which has been seen by Elsa who is from the customer service team at IEGEEK, I have amended the rating to 5 stars as I am very impressed with the excellent customer service of this company. When she saw my initial review, she sent me an apologetic email and was very interested in giving her further feedbacks on the product. She then offered me a discount by way of compensation which I thought was a very kind gesture. In view of this excellent customer service, I can say that even if you are not entirely satisfied with any products you buy from this company, I think you have nothing to lose as it’s prime objective is to genuinely provide a good overall customer satisfaction.
The DVD player was speedily sent and delivered and carefully packaged. Inside the Amazon package there was a separate original package with a handle for carrying. This is very useful to keep the papers and cables or parts in this box which one does not use daily. The display had a foil on it to protect if from scratches.
After unpacking I followed the small instruction booklet. It is all straight forward and as advertised on Amazon. With one full charging of the battery it lasted me already a whole afternoon.
The remote control is tiny, I find it personally very convenient in my small hands, and also that it doesn’t take much space. If you have bigger hands/fingers, you might want to check this first. One can also use the buttons on the device itself, though. if you watch with subtitles, the subtitle key comes in handy. No need to use the DVD menu and no need to pause and go back to the menu if one forgot to choose the subtitle before starting the a film!
The brightness is on a scale from 0 to 12 and volume regulated on a scale from 0 to 15 and personally I have sensitive senses, so I turned brightness down to 0 and volume down to 1 and am enjoying watching this way very much.
With the squivel screen glare is not a problem any more, just move the screen. The screen can be switched off separately from the device which will save battery when one is pausing a DVD.
The DVD players has so far played all my DVDs, whether zone 2 or zone 1, and even workout DVDs which other players before like a built in DVD player in a TV couldn’t play.
As it is a handy device, I can place it conveniently on the floor in front of my workout mat or on a bench for standing exercises. I also watched one film, using small loud speaker boxes I have (these were not included). This way the volume can be regulated step free and I can also use the very low range between 1 and 0.
With the included AV cable at home one could also connect it to ones TV, what I haven’t tried yet.
As a plus to the regular DVD function the device can also play NES games from USB. The download is given in the instructions and also an email address for support. The game controller is not included. I haven’t tested this function yet but downloaded games and inserted the USB and seen that they are instantly available in the game mode.
I am really pleased about my purchase of this little device.
HOWEVER … I do feel that I must share with you my concerns with regards to the sound quality and volume.
For normal table/desktop viewing, the unit is only about 60cm away from me … and it is difficult to hear some of the dialogue. There is a lack of depth/base in the sound quality. And as to the volume … it should really be much higher … with the setting beyond 8/10 offering no further increase in volume. Indeed, should settings on elecricals be set at maximum for normal use anyway?
Furthermore, even when wearing headphones … these issues remain …
Is this a known problem with this model … or is it in its design … in order to help avoid people damaging their hearing?
Are there any “settings” that I might be able to “tick” in order to boost sound and volume?
If not … does it sound as though I need to consider arranging a replacement? And if so …. via AMAZON or IEGEEK?
I am checking out my options first!
