I bought this product to do a course, not expecting to much due to the price, but honestly, it is a fabulous little item that does all I want it to do and more. Very happy.
MOST IMPORTANT FIRST. Running this on windows will be a painful experience for you, I highly suggest you install a version on linux, using Lubuntu myself now it is running fast and smoothly.
Good little laptop for when you are traveling light and need to little bits of work on the move. Keyboard is okay for light work and because of the lack of juice, is incredible quiet. The touch pad is actual good, doesn’t feel as cheap as you would think.
The worse thing is the screen itself, not great viewing angles. The storage is very small, around 60gig but can take a SD card, so is not really a problem.
Overall a good little bit of kit, this is much more suited to running linux rather than windows, otherwise you will have an incredibly slow laptop. But that is whay happens when you use memory hogs like windows lol. The touch screen works with Lubuntu as well, but couldn’t get the touchpad to work while using standard Ubuntu.
Got 2 of these as Xmas presents great deal nice little laptop and touch screen to boot ,not exactly high spec but do the job on the move and fold to a tablet still going strong 5 months later good deal
Really pleased with this laptop, it’s a steal for 199. The touch screen is brilliant when reviewing big data sets and the flip to a normal laptop is brilliant too. Really impressed and highly recommend. It’s as good as my work laptop but with the added advantage of being touch scree
Does the job perfectly, small and compact easy for travel.
I purchased thus in December. I use ut every day. Amazing value for money. With fantastic features and software. A must buy for any houshold. Well recommended it you want a great laptop that is also like a large tablet.
Nice and easy to use. Battery seems to last but I don’t know how long if you used it for a few hours. Nice clear touch screen. Not good if you want to download a disc because there is nowhere to to put one.
Very good quality for the price does everything a normal laptop does but goes one better it flips to a tablet an it’s touch screen well worth i
Bought this to replace a problematic larger more expensive laptop. Price excellent plus liked the device abilities. The touch screen is so good and easy to go between that and using the mouse pad. Picture or screen quality is good if positioned properly to view directly. This is security benefit to me to stop others seeing from side on view, my personal data when accessing banks etc. Battery life so far is ideal. One charge and multiple uses throughout the day were impressive. Highly recommend and looking forward to travelling using it.
Great little laptop with good battery life and folding screen to run it as a tablet. Would have been five stars if the video playback worked the same whichever way up you stand the screen in tablet mode- unfortunately one way has a bar across the top of the screen covering the video.
Got it for my 13 year old for Christmas. She loves it. We’re able to use MS Family Safety app as its windows so we can ensure she’s safe. Does everything she needs it to but in S mode you can only use apps from the Windows App Store – Google has to be run through edge- you can’t download the Google apps without switching off S mode which I’m not inclined to do.
Purchased as a back up to a apple ipad and phone. I don’t have any windows products and required really to use with iTunes to transfer cds and account . Still working my way around it but no real grumbles as of this review other than it marks easily . I purchased a seperate external cd/ dvd drive and micro sd card at an extra cost of 40 and installed the free 1 years microsoft package and alls good. Can recommend .
This laptop is good quality and is perfect for my everyday use. The fact I can use it as a laptop then quickly change it to a tablet is perfect. I do have 2 issues though. It’s a bit of an issue trying to open it up, there’s no grip on the bottom part so trying to grip the top and bottom to open isn’t easy. The other issue is, when you turn the laptop into the tablet, the screen doesn’t rotate automatically, I had to go into settings to change this, and this was a problem too, I had to Google it a few times, even the manufacturer website doesn’t explain how to do it, but after an hour I finally got it.
Everything with it is good. I bought this for university work as I travel abroad with work a lot and am a distance learner. Lightweight, small, can fit in a rucksack and doesn’t weigh a lot. Using Microsoft word and other programs are good. However the only issue I have found over the last month is loading times for the app store, sometimes cannot open the word doc from the hot bar if I have clicked on a Web page, I have to minimise edge to get back to the word doc. I have just installed a Windows 11 update (which took forever) as the operating system isn’t as powerful as a laptop or PC. This has fixed the issue, so it was Microsoft bug rather than the laptop/chrome book. The touch screen is responsive and makes scrolling through pages online or in my case on assignments easy.
If you are looking for a cheap chromebook for study, I recommend this one. Battery life is good, I spent 6 hours typing an assignment by the pool side in Cyprus in 30C heat with no issues. (Kept it in the shade at lunch time). The only other issue I found was that I plugged the mains into the fricking headphone socket accidentally as they look the same. I have a sticker on the side where it needs plugging in now. I use Bluetooth headphones so don’t need that socket. Recommend that you don’t try to plug it in to charge in the dark lol. Overall you get a lot for what you pay for.
I got this from an amazon warehouse deal keep that in mind (50).
It’s a decent if a little flimsy dualcore celeron, if you want my advice I say get a 240gb m2 sata drive and install xubuntu or a minimal arch linux setup, it’s flies when windows isn’t bogging it down.
The screen has terrible viewing angles
I’m not sure how long it’d last if it started getting bumped around.
For what I paid it was perfect, don’t think I’d drop more than 99 on it though.
CPU is the N4020 with Intel UHD600 graphics, Ram is running at 2400mhz. Dual Core, Dual Thread, boosts to 2.8ghz when overclocked.
Excellent Bios, fully featured, and latest updated firmware as of 2022
Package power is only 20 watts.
Fully featured I/O, including type C, Mini HDMI and USB3
Decent Screen Response, once the correct drivers have been installed.
EMMC drive is slow, it should only be used for storage.
M.2 Slot is 4 times the Speed, SATA 3 6gb/s
Install a low cost 128gb ssd, 2280, which is around 20, the port is on the bottom of laptop.
Use Macrion Reflect to copy your Windows Install over to the 128gb ssd.
Your laptop is now much faster.
Triple Boot Chrome, Windows 11, and MINT.
As a Chrome machine, it performs like a premium tablet, MINT has low overheads, and Windows 11 is fully featured, this laptop will autoupdate to WIN11, it has a tpm 2 module, and, allows future security updates.
UK company, with support directly via amazon.
For the price, nothing really comes close in terms of its features, you can transform it into a snappy little machine simply by installing an ssd, and installing Chrome OS, or even simply Andriod 12, then disabling all power profiles, this allows the machines sparse amount of ram and low wattage to be used more effectively as both those have low overheads compared to win11.
My only complaint was my 73 used machine arrived with an empty battery, so low scores for that, as it can damage the life cycle.
If you know what your doing, you get a decent touchscreen laptop for pennies, and its a great game emulator, especially on Chrome, with the intel UHD 600 shining, able to play most Google Play titles on max settings, and the same with those andriod based emulators.
For myself, I have transformed this little machine into a touchscreen sampler, its handling 3 midi devices, plus an audio card, and outputs 16 tracks, which is simply outstanding for a machine at this price.
ONLY buy this machine if your prepared to work on it, else its unoptimised, and your experience will suffer, once set up, its transformed into something akin to the GO series from microsoft, and you cannot argue with the value on that point alone.
Its a must buy versus other cheap options, this at least has the fully featured, and latest bios, from a UK based company, which helps you tune the experience.
Due to the low cost, my expectations were not very high, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and performance of this little laptop. On receipt it upgraded to Windows 11, which was something new for me. Screen quality is good and the touch screen is responsive. Perhaps my only criticism would be the location of the power button on the side of the device. Because of its location, it is easy to accidentally power the device off when installing or removing USB or HDMI devices.
I got this yesterday and it was incredibly slow. I was going to send it back but I persevered with the long and slow update and once that was done it works great! Goes great for office work and no problems after the update.
This laptop with a 1Tb storage upgrade is the quickest and most flexible of the numerous machines I have used. The gorilla glass is reflective in a backlight, but unavoidable for any laptop that can be turned into a tablet.
I struggled initially to activate Windows on this device but Iota Support got me sorted, and this is how:
1. Open the Microsoft Store and download the app ‘ShowKeyPlus’ (no spaces)
2. Once downloaded open the ShowKeyPlus app and make a note of the OEM Key
3. Open the Windows Settings app (available from the start menu)
4. Go to Update & Security > Activation
5. Click on the Change Product Key link
6. Enter the OEM Key as shown in ShowKeyPlus and click Next to activate your device
Once you have completed the above steps Windows should activate, and you can claim your free Office license.
Taking the specs in to account the laptop has met all my expectations.
UPDATE October 21 – Windows 11
The standard Windows Update process offered the upgrade to Windows 11 proving that the Flo360 was approved by Microsoft.
The upgrade process took just over 2 hours. After the initial installation go to Microsoft Store Library and update the MS Apps and restart the laptop. Then use the Windows Update to get the latest updates and restart the laptop.
So far everything has worked as it should. (I am not reviewing Windows 11 just the process)
One key reason for buying the laptop was the ability to use its inbuilt ability to project photos and videos I have taken on to my large screen 4KTV. This works faultlessly.
Just one point to bear in mind if watching/projecting videos the base can get hot; I’d recommend putting the laptop in tent mode to get ventilation.
This is a really intuitive little gizmo, Ofcourse, i was aiming for something portable and easy for on the go, i settled sight on this one.
I was a bit apprehensive at first and didn’t know what to really expect from a budget device.
Have to say though, i was pleasantly suprised, I didn’t need anything with any particularly powerful. So i started looking at something which was reasonably priced, didn’t need any particular “grunt”, but then again, it wasn’t a necessity. Not going to be playing GTA V on something like this one,
But i am able to watch videos on youtube very smoothly, you can run some emulator games and chill with those too, but it won’t be anything massive that can be done.
But that was the idea, Just wanted to grab something that was quirky and can do some light surfing when sat out getting some sun and it does appear that it serves that purpose, Definitely not complaining.
What i was really surprised at was the overall sound quality, It’s always a bit of an unknown quantity whether or not you’re going to get decent sound with laptops i find. Some reverberate and sound utterly terrible.
But again, given the price range, It actually performs well and it’s stereo sound as advertised.
The screen resolution is probably just where it needs to be also, It’s not HD, but the display does run at 60hz, which makes watching vids and light gaming quite a pleasant experience coupled with decent sound.
Start up times are actually quite fast too, which is something very noteworthy. for a 1.1ghz processor, it’s really quite good and can handle light multitasking, for example. You could be on facebook with some music on and the resources this machine has will handle that without any real impact. So it is a decent little thing.
4gb is probably about the sweet spot too for something in this price range. It is as described and is DDR3.
What i found most captivating is that the hinge on the screen can flip 180 degrees, it’s such an unusual gimmick that I haven’t seen before, very interesting.
But it’s not just a gimmick for the sake of it, the touchscreen function works quite well and it’s responsive. So that’s a refreshing bonus. Although in that state, if you happen to tap the number lock holding it in certain ways, it’s possible to get confused and think you might be popping in a wrong password. (top right, second key in). It’s definitely worth noting that one.
But other than this, the device is very good. It’s value for money and does the job.
The laptop arrives in a well made box, brief instructions and a charger with cable. It comes with Windows 10 installed and has 1 years free subscription to Microsoft Office. I like the light and easy feel of the laptop as I use it mostly whilst sitting with it on my lap. It has enough memory to store all I need and the apps are easy to access. If I have one quibble, it is that the touch screen is not quite so responsive in some areas as I would want, so double clicking or selecting using a finger does not always work, although selection with the tracker and mouse buttons at the base of the machine does the job. One minus point ia the power button is located on the right hand side – without care you can easily switch the device off accidentally as you move the machine or it touches the arm of a chair. At the price, I think this is a worthwhile purchase and I am very happy with it.
After 6 months of use I can add that, not only have I not had the problems with updates that others have reported, but mine has easily updated to Windows 11 and this gives a far quicker start time. I am still pleased with my purchase, although I do only use it for light tasks. One downside is that I found a small crack in the corner of the plastic trim around the screen, presumably as a result of folding it 360 degrees too enthusiastically – this illustrates the flimsiness of the construction, but I think this is reflected in the price.
