This is a decent speakerphone. By far the best feature of the speakerphone is the noise cancellation. When I have a lot of noise in my room, such as fans or treadmills, the people on the other end of the phone only hear my voice. Excellent quality technology, buy with confidence.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing quality noise cancellatio

his plug and play teleconference USB device is so easy to use and makes hearing people on the virtual call so much easier than my laptop speakers, take it with me everywhere for work. So easy to set up and control. Audio quality is great.

Simple plug and play USB use, compact and with added Bluetooth connectivity for phone/tablet etc. Bought for work meetings/conference calls and very pleased. Audio is great and mic pick up for remote users works well too. A great tool if, like me, you have regular calls around a meeting table with remote attendees. Well recommended.
4-stars on battery as mostly used when plugged in so not tried max battery capability.

Works well straight out of the box. Has been very helpful in meetings when there is only one laptop and others are on Zoom or Teams, and with people present in the room.

I am getting rid of my landline so I needed to hear my mobile ringing even if my phone was on mute. This speaker works well although I would have liked it to be a little bit louder. It is just loud enough for my use.
I have tested with both mine and my wifes mobile hooked up by bluetooth at the same time and the Jabra will ring using the ringtone of the individual mobile, so we can differentiate to see whos is ringing. To get the best ringtone volume you may wish to experiment with different ringtones on your mobile. The buttons are touch sensitive buttons so don’t physically press. The Jabra needed charging before use.
I also tested it by playing music from my phone too and while it is ok for this use the sound quality is not exceptional.
Overall I am happy with the product .

I just cannot fault this device, this is the second one I’ve purchased (one for home) and it’s just outstanding, speaker is clear, and it somehow removes a lot of the background noise so you’re voice comes through better. Great value (my first one, the same model, was a lot more expensive when I bought it 3 years ago) – still delighted with it.

This little thing is superb for modern day working from home or a group meeting.

Needs to be plugged into one Dell machine, but connects to the Dell other on bluetooth. Can’t work out why so it is a bit of a lottery if you need to wire it in to your laptop or not. Sometimes needs the connection

Works well both in home office mode and in decent sized meetings where external parties can hear well.

The ability to connect your phone works well, but the unit can only keep one bluetooth connection at a time so you need to re connect each time you swap over.

But one of the best things I’ve bought in the last 3 years for working from home.

During lockdown, all Teams meeting were through one of these. Plus I have it Bluetooth connected to my phone. Personally, I don’t like headsets and this has excellent sound and microphone. Plus hands-free phone calling. That’s why I bought this when I returned my office equipment when changing job.

During lockdown we have been doing a lot more teams meetings. This little speaker is great for group meetings where someone may still be using teams (or any other computer based phone system) and need to interact with a large group. Simply stick it in the middle of the table. Plug it into your laptop with USB and carry on as normal. No feedback. Great, clear sound. It also supports Bluetooth but I haven’t tried that yet.

I use this for online meetings and it is able to capture voices from around the room. The meetings can be 1:1 or group and this copes perfectly. Sound quality is clear and easy to set up. Default setting is to Bluetooth, but you can plug into usb too, just remember to disconnect Bluetooth from any other devices you may have previously connected to

The quality of the microphone is excellent. I often walk around the room while on calls, and people tell me that the sound quality remains really good. Having used some chapter brands in the past, I would say it is definitely worth paying a bit more for a Jabra. Feels like a quality product that will last. So actually it’s great value. The volume control is fully integrated with the PC so you can either use the PC controls or the controls directly on the device. For larger meeting rooms, the volume can be increased to fairly loud levels. Would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve just started a new job and only spend 1 day a week in the office, so I needed a conference type speaker for when I’m in video meetings at home. A friend who was in a similar situation recommended this to me. He was right…it’s a really good little unit.

Personally, I think it’s massively overpriced, but my company were paying so it wasn’t a factor. If I was having to buy this myself, I’d certainly think twice about it (even if I already knew how good it was). I mean, almost 80 for a Bluetooth speaker/mic?

There’s no denying that the sound quality is excellent, and I never have issues where other people on my calls indicate that they can’t hear me or that my audio is distorted in any way. It has a decent length USB cable for when it’s being charged, and when it’s in use the cable neatly wraps around the base. Once charged, the battery lasts me a several hours of audio…certainly long enough for an entire day of Zoom meetings.

There are a couple of things I don’t like about it…

Around the rim are several touch buttons (i.e. not actual buttons) for volume control, hang-up call, etc., and MUTE is at the top (the 12 position on a clock), which I found a bit awkward to use and felt would be better placed at the bottom along with the other more important controls. The POWER button is at the bottom of the unit (clock position 6) but that doesn’t get used anywhere near as often as MUTE, so my feeling is that the power and mute buttons would be better with their respective locations swapped.

The other thing I don’t like is the low volume. There are 12 possible volume increments but I have to have it on at least 7 to be able to hear things comfortably. Sometimes, depending on how much background noise there is (and I’m talking about ambient noise, not somebody drilling or planes taking off), I find myself needing to turn it up to at least 10. This might be an iOS issue because I’m using it with an iPad, the friend who recommended it to me is also using it with an Apple device and he too finds the volume to be low. Not really a deal breaker, but I’d have expected it to have more ‘oomph’ for the price.

Overall, if you want a very good conference speaker/mic and the price isn’t an issue, this should definitely be on your list.

I have been using the bluetooth headsets for my work from home calls, I usually spend 5 -6 hours on calls daily. Had ear pains, headaches. After a long research I purchased this product. So far this works perfectly. Loud and clear, microphone picks up my voice clearly. Noise cancellation is okay but not great. works to a some extent. You need to be in a quiet room. It picks up noises from outside traffic , vacuum cleaners outside the room even if the door closed. The callers at the other side sometimes complain about these noises.

Bought this for work where 4 of us sit around a large table with iPads for Teams / SKYPE etc. calls and I have to say that I am really impressed with its performance. 2 iPads (devices) can connect to it at a time and it seems to pick up everyone’s voices well – certainly is loud enough for us all to hear. Brought it home to use with friends and also works very well. Only comment has been that when one person shouts it seems to have a compressor built in that takes a little time to recover. Very happy with this.

I purchased this mainly for family chats on zoom and teams, from a galaxy tab.
Home working I do most of my calls off my galaxy tab, and it is great for me as a single user, however when we want to have a chat with the family with both my wife and I wanting to listen and talk this is far superior to the tablet or laptop in isolation. Clear sound from a few meters away. It really is a godsend in this remote world.
I had used previously at work, for conference calls with 6 of us in a room, conferencing to Poland.
Quality is excellent, with clear sound, and the those receiving the audio never had any complaints so I new I was on to a winner in the home environment.
I highly recommend this, it makes such a difference in your video conferencing.

Really great speaker being on zoom calls all day headphones become uncomfortable and the speakers on my work laptop are not great this makes the sound so much better, the microphone is also very clear, my boss has one too and it is noticeable if its not switched on. Now use it for family zoom calls too excellent speaker well worth the cost. Easy to use as the mute button is clear so no need to hunt the button on the screen very quick to switch mute on and off, volume controls are also easy. Also plug and play laptop recognised it straight away.

Very sensitive – picks up sound from all in the room. Had another mic before, but it was so dependant on direction of sound and you had to keep your head still – didn’t suit me at all. This mic is omnidirectional – much better. I use it mainly for zoom and Teams. The speaker is ok too, but i use stereo speakers with my docking station instead.

Overall very good for voice – microphone quality is excellent.

Struggles a bit with microphone when distance is more than 1m
Bluetooth works well for voice calls, but remember to turn it off after the call is finished: if you don’t then it will merrily announce “Smartphone Connected” and “Smartphone Disconnected” every few minutes. It also has a habit of stealing your bluetooth from another device when you don’t want it to.
If you want to listen to music, then use something designed for the job. This really doesn’t sound very good playing music. But it sounds excellent with speech, like Radio 4, Phone Calls and Conferencing software.

This thing is brilliant up until you turn off your laptop. Like many, I’m working from home and was bored of headsets. The only issue with this is that whenever I turn my laptop off at night – invariably after my 4-month old baby is sleeping in the next room – it loudly instructs me on how to connect to Bluetooth. I’ve tried turning it off before, unplugging the USB from the laptop, all sorts – I can’t get rid of the noise. I can turn down volume but every time I forget it blasts through the house. Other than that, it’s been great – simple to use and avoids earache from headset. Very sensitive microphone so you can’t type on a call or it’ll pick it up – mute function easy enough but just a habit to get used to

  20. JorgeWZVUzdjd says:

Having persevered with a headset for the first few months of lockdown I decided to get one of these based on a colleague’s recommendation.

The sound quality from the speaker is superb – the microphone possibly isn’t as good as a boom microphone on a headset (slightly ‘boxier’ sound but I haven’t experienced any feedback/echo, so it’s fine) and for long calls I find it much easier than having a headset on. I have used it with Teams, Skype, Zoom and Webex without any issues and it is fine with my work laptop (and due to the restrictions imposed by the IT department, that’s quite rare!) and my own laptop.

The ability to use this via bluetooth with a phone or tablet as well as a wired connection is also very useful.

The speaker comes with a small soft case – it doesn’t offer a huge amount of protection, but it’s fine for slipping into a briefcase or backpack and stops the speaker getting scratched.

    Highly recommended!

This is superb & has saved my ears & head from hurting as I’m on video calls working from home (WFH) everyday due to the pandemic! The sound quality is superb & I can walk around and still hear everything from my calls or if I am watching sometime on my laptop. Highly recommend it, one of the best things I bought to help me with the calls I’m in all day long. Wish there was an instant mute so that I could mute the volume from the speaker so people on my side can’t hear confidential information & not just mute me. It’s very sensitive as someone made me aware that children playing in a garden next door could be picked up

So far I’m incredibly happy with this little device.

Although a little pricey I have to say this gadget does its job perfectly. I hear everyone just fine. I haven’t had any echo issues where everyone can hear themselves, and most importantly, people hear me perfectly too, whether I’m very close to the speaker or just chilling on a chair a metre (or so) away.

I use it mostly for conference calls and it’s amazing, love the ‘mute’ button and the bluetooth capability, which allows me to use it for personal calls through my mobile as speaker mode on mobiles is usually questionable.

If you can spare the money, get this one, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a really good speaker and microphone. I purchased it to replace my headset when moving out of the office to work from home. Its a simple USB connection to setup it up and its small enough to take with me if attending any meetings with colleagues or customers.

Crackling – I fixed it for me!

Like others I experience the crackling that would randomly interfere with video/calls. For me it always seemed to happen on the video calls I really didn’t need not to. Well I am not using the Bluetooth dongle and only the USB connection, so I simply stopped any device such as my mobile, my partners mobile and my laptop from trying to connect to the Jabra speaker via bluetooth. I even found that the kids tablets would try and connect when in range. So simply ensure that all devices bluetooth settings in your house “forget” the Jabra speaker and they will not try to re-connect and the crackling should stop. Its what resolved the issue for me and have been crackle free for weeks now :-).

Bought as a home office audio conferencing unit for the seemingly endless work Zoom meetings during the Covid-19 lockdown. Great little unit which connects either via Bluetooth or via USB to your computer. Pretty much plug & play with an intuitive design and touch sensitive mute, volume, battery etc buttons. Sound quality is pretty good and able to handle people speaking at different volumes. I got this to avoid deafening myself with my traditional headphones as I had to have the volume really high to hear the quiet contributors but then my ears got blasted by other participants who had better audio quality or were closer to their microphone. This little device admirably removes that issue so for me and at 93 is a very worthwhile investment to protect my hearing.

Headsets get tiring after a while, often hot with wireless having the minor but overtime annoyance of recharge. This plugs into the USB port and is a fire and forget device. Sounds is nice and clear for voice, microphone works well. Nice to have the convenience of a mute button and volume controls on the device itself.

It works well on my Mac, not tried it with my phone though again it will prove convenient I am sure. Doubt it will ever leave the study but nice to know if I don’t want to take it on a work trip I can. I’ve been using it with Zoom predominantly, I am sure it works well other services too.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought this unit because I am now working from home I wanted to be able to better hear people I was listening to on Zoom or Skype conference meetings. It really does enhance the sound. I am told that the people at the other end also hear me more clearly. The other benefit I’ve found with this unit is that you can connect it to your mobile phone via Bluetooth, make the call via the phone but speak and listen to your contact with much better sound quality at my end. It saves me spending the whole time holding the phone to my ear, and it frees up my hands to look through documents or operate my computer whilst on the call. I spent ages reading other people’s reviews on this unit and I really did wonder whether it was worth the money but I’m so glad I bought it. It is a quality unit I have had no issues with it whatsoever.

Would have scored 5 but for the fact it is not a cheap product and seems a bit pricy – however – it is a great product. Sound quality is excellent and the microphone is incredibly sensitive. My wife said something under her breath downstairs to my office and my colleagues on a conference call all heard it. That was embarrassing! Needless to say, I have found the mute button most useful… if you have to use Skype or the like definitely get one of these as they are fully compatible and you can control the call from either the sabra of your device. Having seen and heard this other colleagues have got them too.

I was quite concerned as to whether the range of this mic would suit the large room and number of people we had that would be up to 2 metres away from the mic, but it still picked up their voices. So very happy for this price range.

We use it for Zoom meetings and the people over the internet can hear everyone in the main conference room very clearly. The instructions for this mic say that it’s suitable yo use in a conference with around 6 people and any more than that you should get the next model up which is over 300. We found this model works fine for around 15 people in the conference room, so save yourself 200 if you’re worried it’s not powerful enough!

Although you will need a USB extension cable as the one it comes with is a bit short for a large room.

I bought this for Skype meetings while working at home, finding wired headsets a bit too restrictive.

It’s a nicely built unit, feeling robust and whilst light, it has enough mass to avoid sliding around your desk, helped by the soft rubbery pad underneath. The USB cable (full size usb-a connector one end, permanently attached at the other) simply coils around the base, with no arresting mechanism to keep it fixed. Operation is simple and my W10 laptop had no difficulty recognising the device and configuring itself for use.

Speaker quality is excellent, clear and loud enough to fill a small office. Voice quality is reportedly good, although some people have mentioned that I sound a touch echo-y.

Touch controls all work perfectly and Bluetooth pairing to my phone was also straightforward, with sound quality as good as via the wired connection. It can still handle Bluetooth calls while wired to a laptop (provided it’s not already in use).

Only improvement I’d like to see is having the mute button illuminated when in use. The red LEDs around the speaker give a clear indication of when you’re muted, but it can be tricky to spot the mute button itself when trying to unmute during a meeting – having an illuminated symbol to aim at would make this easier.

I’ve only used it while wired into either my laptop or docking station for power, so can’t comment on the battery life.

Overall I’m very pleased and would certainly recommend to others.

Golden Review Award: 26 From Our UsersI work from home and have been using a USB headset for quite some time however this leaves me tied to my desk during long calls. I wanted a hands free solution and had previously tried Bluetooth headsets however they were really unreliable. My colleague, also a homeworker, had recommended this product so I thought I would give it a try. You have the option of pairing with your PC or phone via Bluetooth, leaving the device entirely wireless, or you can plug directly into the PC via the attached USB cable (which winds neatly round the base when not in use). Whilst I really like the idea of the Bluetooth option, I have been told by callers that my voice is much clearer when the device is plugged in.

I have used the conference speaker many times now when using my VOIP phone and it has been a godsend. During a long meeting today, I was able to tap the ‘mute microphone’ button on the edge of the device and get myself a glass of water, stretch my legs etc whilst still listening in on the meeting. The quality of sound is fantastic and you can alter the volume up and down by tapping one of the buttons around the device.

When not in use, the speaker can be neatly packed away into its own little zipped bag. This would be perfect for taking away on business and using with a laptop or paired with a mobile phone for long calls.

I love it. 4 stars only as the quality of sound reported by my customers and colleagues when I am connected via Bluetooth is not as good. To be fair though, my PC does not support bluetooth directly and I had bought a separate dongle to facilitate this so it could be down to that.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAs part of my job, I spend a lot of time on conference calls. Being mobile, I needed something easy and convenient to carry around. Decided on the Jabra over the Plantronics I had. In comparison, its better made and has better features. Its connects by cable to my laptop to charge and connecting to Skype/Lync. Mobile phone connects via Bluetooth and the 2 connections run together. Great use of tiny LED’s to show battery (lasts for days) and call status. Cable winds round the base and comes with protective case. Only irritating design issue is the voice saying ‘connected to mobile device’ etc when you turn on an it pairs to your phone switching on. Callers have noted a couple of times I sound a little distant but apart from those little gripes, I’m pleased overall and would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a great bit of kit. It has excellent tone quality and can fill an executive sized office with ease. The mics work really well too. Me being the nerd that I am, I have tested it out from 4 metres away, and it works as well as any spider phone I’ve used. It does a half decent job as a misic speaker, perfectly good for streaming voice and music. Ive been using it for a week now and the battery life has proved to be excellent, with 2 days use (..4 hours of calls, the rest on standby) the battery light has hardly moved, even at full volume. If I was being harsh, my only critique would be that the volume level needs to be pretty high, but it still cuts the mustard with those flaky garbled calls that we find ourselves on all to often.. I’ve tried a few of these out and this is the best I’ve seen for the money…

Really chuffed with this purchase. I have recently joined a new company whom use Skype for Business as their conference facility and this poses a problem when there is more than one of you, as the sound on laptops usually isn’t up to the job. I hunted around and came across the Jabra Speak 510 on Google. The reviews were great so I decided to go on Amazon and I found it for half the price as listed on their website. It really is brilliant. The sound quality is great and the people I speak via this device confirm this. Connectivity to any Bluetooth enabled device is extremely easy and there is no device PIN input required which is always a bonus! The range is good, too, and I can easily walk round the room with my phone in my pocket and there’s no problem, even walk around the home/office and it will stay connected when I return to my desk. I have it plugged in to my laptop to use as a multimedia speaker (I use Apple Music via iTunes) and have my phone connected via Bluetooth — seemless integration! 100% recommend this to anyone… PS: This is not a paid endorsement haha 🙂

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am currently using this with Lync telephony in a meeting room that seats 16 people. It is in the middle of a table thay measures about 2 meters by 5 meters in a room that is about 5 meters by 8 meters. The average distance from the mic is 1.5/2 meters. The people on the phone can hear all people in the room speaking normally, or maybe slightly more expressively (as we tend to do on conference calls). The speaker quality is excellent.

Yesterday, I used the Jabra in a longer narrower room, and it did not work so well. The accoustics of the room are abvously a factor in the quality.

I have experimented with the bluetooth connection to my iPhone, but have no experience of using it for real. I expedt the quality to also be excellent.

Overall this is an excellent piece of kit for a reasonable price. If you are accustomed to visiting businesses who do not have adequate telephony, this is an excellent solution.
