Nice looking and standard fitting for a previous ceramic hob. The plates heat well, although one small 6″ (15.5cm)pan could not be recognised on any of the cooking areas, but 7″ (18cm) pan had no problems. Good to have a super boost on the single plate, when compared to the two plates. It does add extra consideration when using the differing plates as the power levels are different ie max power on boost is 3kw and the small plates are 2.1kw, similar differences when not using boost. This has not presented a problem, but I did wonder why water boiled slower on the smaller plates until I rechecked the instructions which clearly showed the difference. The fan is standard on these hobs and the noise was less than my extractor fan. I measured the fan noise at 55dB, with the proper ventilation gap, which is needed when placed above an oven. In summary, works well and I’m very pleased with it. I like the fact the boost auto switches off after 5 minutes. The lock function engages very quickly, even when wiping the surface, and takes a long press to disengage, slightly longer press to engage would be helpful, but accidental locking is better than accidental turning on. I haven’t tried the flexi zone as I don’t have a pan to fit it.
The product arrived as promised, works weel, and looks nice. Easy to install.
I was concerned the cooktop would be damaged when I saw the beat up box but fortunately it wasn’t. I haven’t installed it yet as my house is being built but I wanted to have it for the cutout dimensions and installation instructions.
Induction is great !
It’s big enough for more than one pot to fit on it at a time. It’s also small enough that it fits in just about any space that can easily accommodate it.
I recommend this product to any consumer in the market for some good quality induction cooktop.
Perfect size for my small cabin and cooks very fast that its easy to burn food until you get the hang of it. I appreciate the built-in timer now. Obviously it depends on how much water your heating, but I can have boiling water in 2-3 minutes using the power mode. Like in the picture, boiling potatoes in minutes to have with pork ribs. Faster cooking and much healthier than a microwave! Interesting it only takes the two 240 volt wires to operate, no ground wire required.
I’d like to specify that this is hardwire. You will need to get a conversion plug kit it you want this in the wall. It did work. I’ve side worked better than the other. Sometimes had to double tap, but cooked well once it heated up.
It gives you a more precise control over cooking food better than an open flame gas burner. It heats up faster—cools down faster too. Safer than gas, electric or radiant heat. And more efficient use of energy—no loss the environment. And, inexpensive at less than $160 for the 2-burner top.
I built a small kitchen area in the loft space of my house. I was looking for a simple, easy-to-install drop-in cooktop. I decided to try this one from Karinear, my first and only product from this company. After a few months of fairly regular use, I like it a lot.
The cooktop arrived in great condition, well-protected in its packaging. There was a lot of protective plastic and foam, which kept everything from getting damaged, but did produce a lot of waste. I had it all unpacked and ready to install in about 7 to 8 minutes.
I had a very positive first impression of the cooktop, including the wiring and electronics. It’s made really well.
Installation is straightforward, assuming you can handle the wiring connections. I had a professional electrician run a 220-volt line to a new island I built, then I did the actual hookup. The included instructions are minimal, but you can also find lots of information online for wiring units like this.
Note: this cooktop must be hooked to a 220-volt line, so make sure you are prepared for that before buying!
I dropped the cooktop into a cutout in the island top, and it set right in. The glass top is thin — only rising above the surface about 1/4″. The glass runs right to the edge. It looks great.
This has lots of induction power. It’s equal to my main cooktop, which I use regularly in my kitchen. I was concerned at first about how the flat-panel buttons would work, as I still like to use old-fashioned knobs on my appliances. But the controls are responsive, with immediate feedback and visible indications of the settings. Because the whole surface is completely flat, cleaning the glass top is nice and easy.
The 99-minute timer is a nice touch, and very simple to use.
Overall, this is a worthy induction cooktop. For me, it’s doing a great job as a secondary cooktop, but I could also imagine it working as a main cooktop in a smaller kitchen. I recommend it.
These glass cook tops really are nice, this one is a great option because it has a metal frame for protecting the glass a bit more , big cook top looks bueatiful & has alot of great features your average burner doesnt offer like then auto shut off ! You’ll want to keep in mind you’ll need help installing if not familiar with electric work because it doesn’t come with the plug only the connection to go to atleast a 220 outlet & you’ll need magnetic cookware only works with this kind..
Perfect size for me! I’ve been using a plug in countertop single burner induction cooker for too long now. I do love the efficiency of induction. This built in two burner is a huge upgrade for me. The controls are a huge upgrade for me as well..Working perfect so far. Took me awhile to get the electrician here to hook the 220 up. I guess it’s much safer than a plug in would be..drawing that extra current. I would recommend. I hope you found this helpful 🙂
Me encanto
Its a Great little cooktop easy to clean easy to use super deal and value. Was working great for a month then… we had a problem… wait for it… contacted support, got near immediate response, they immediatly shipped a replacement that also wouldn’t run… After a few super helpful and prompt emails including an offer to refund me… I discovered a bad Circuit Breaker, limiting voltage to one leg of power supply.. New 40A breaker.. Problem solved. I can’t tell you how fast, willing and helpful the support came. Astounding support team, we just don’t see this anymore in any product. Thank you…
I really wanted to try an induction cook. top, but when we went to install, because of problems with our electrical system, it could not happen. I did return the item to Amazon. My goof. It was lovely and I was very disappointed. Old house, old electrical system, old kitchen!
This Karinear drop-in induction cooktop is well made and works well. It must be hard wired and installed. But it is a great option for either some additional cooktop space or for those looking for a smaller footprint option. We have this installed in an in-law kitchenette. It heats up fast, is safer, and easy to clean. It has a timer for up to 99 min. Since it is a smaller footprint it works well for elderly or those needing just 2 additional pans cooking. It looks great and is very easy to clean.
We put together an outdoor kitchen at our back patio. We added this induction cooktop to add some flexibility when we are cooking. It is great. We mainly use it with stockpots and when we want to cook with a pan. For example, I cook bacon on it – turns out right every time and doesn’t fill the house with baconness.
