For the price that it was bought at it is quite an enjoyable experience. For those looking to buy one of these, I would recommend one that is made from one piece of material (doesn’t have an outside material like this one) as when the air gradually decreases moisture likes to get trapped in there possibly creating mould.
The amazing price deal of the day was just brillia
Can’t praise this highly enough. Took 45 minutes to put up, an hour and 15 to fill.
Heater, bubbles etc all work perfectly / even if it only lasts a year I would be pleased.
Pleasant surprise for an impulse buy.
Order on 25th March didn’t get till 10th April supplier very late with delivery then I had to chase the delivery for a date
No comment on longevity, this is from a person who has had the item for two weeks and is a ‘first impression’ review.
It is nice to use, it’s comfortable to sit in, the achievable temperature and the controllability of the temperature are both great. The airjets? Well, they’re nice but there is only one setting – 11 – and you can’t adjust it so unless you want to continually sit in a maelstrom it’s of limited use. I’d love rot be able to turn it down to ‘sneaky fart’ but ‘brontosaurus the day after a feed of beans’ is all that’s available. It sounds like a jumbo jet taking off too. This does not prevent me from enjoying sitting in it with the jets off very much.
From the point of view of set up, the instructions are just crap. They lack detail, the illustrations are generic and sometimes the instructions are just plain wrong. This should not be complicated for Lay-Z-Spa but they’ve cut corners to save pennies and I think much less of their products because of it. YouTube videos and Google were the resources which helped me to commission the thing, the instructions were mostly just a hindrance.
If I change my opinion on anything I’ll adjust my review but this seems to have been a good expenditure of two-and-a-half hundred quid at this point.
Used for the first time recently. Set up instructions are terrible though and you need to watch a YouTube video. Came as described and works well.
Getting the right chlorine levels will take some practice I think but overall I’m happy with it so fa
Brought this as a family Christmas present, this year we had Christmas early, we all lov the hottub Especially the young kids Who regularly use public swimming pools with was a natural progression . However I’m disappointed by the app by that I mean I couldn’t actually use the app, I had to use a bestway app I found out about through reddit. Setup was relatively easy took 1-2 minutes To inflate, I used water From the hot tap to fill took about 2 hours ,when it’s turned of from 40 c losses 10 over night (5- 10 c ) the Temperature was perfect at 35c
Bought this in the sale for 250 which was an absolute bargain. Rock solid compared with other versions and the bubbles from the middle of the bottom are a great added addition. WiFi only works with the Bestway app instead of the Lay-z-Spa app and even then it takes several attempts to get it to work, but once connected it’s brilliant and makes getting it ready really easy. It’s worth buying a separate insulation cover as that is saving us loads in electricity and means the temperature only drops by about 5 degrees in 24 hours during Autumn and also protects the lid and shell of the tub.
Got this hot tub for a bargain price so I can’t really complain but this is an honest review none the less. Less than half price as the box was damaged. Turns out it was only the outer cardboard sleeve and not the actual box itself, everything inside in perfect condition. Very easy to assemble and inflate. A little bigger than I needed as it’s just the 2 of us but on saying that there’s plenty of room for just the 2 of us! Everything works great as you would expect from Lay Z Spa…apart from the WiFi Absolute nightmare trying to get it to connect and after several very frustrating hours I’ve just given up on it. I have a friend who has the Singapore and it took him months to get the WiFi to connect, it stayed connected for a couple of weeks then disconnected and now won’t reconnect… Great hot tubs, crap WiFi so if you’re buying for that remote connection alone, don’t! If not then it’s great! That’s why it’s just 4 stars though…
Great hot tub. Very easy to inflate, just make sure you pull all tubes out of holes on outer cover and properly so all lined up to attach pump. Powerful pump, perfect size for 3.only negative is the stitching around the outer cover edge is coming undone.
Got 1 for my son who was going to pay 320 ,found it on Amazon for 215 so ended buying myself 1 as well.
Doesn’t seem as deep as my last Vagas lazy spa .Think it might just be very slightly smaller as from maximum water level to the top rim ,as seems just as deep in the water depth.
New design in pump square not a egg .Lift/ tilt control panel, easily altered as you don’t have to hangover the sides to change the settings when in the tub. There is also a new tube protruding at the bottom outside to let the water out ,another good upgrade from the old style. You can connect a pipe easily to drain it where you want it to go. The other new design is the tablets go into a cap/cover where the water returnsinto the tub.It has a freeze protection system also but not used as yet .Believe price gone back up now .What I paid I am a happy customer.
How did we survive without this?…. We’ve bobbed around in expensive, fixed spas and always comment on how they don’t match up to our Ibiza. Very clever and sturdy construction, easy to assemble/disassemble, and the pump unit works brilliantly (plenty warm enough with loads of bubbles). I would say it’s more suited to 3-4 people (6 is rather ambitious), but it’s the perfect pool in every other way, highly recommended!
PS: Get yourself a foam matt to pop it all on. Then once you have the water shocked and settled, we found a floating dispenser with Clearwater’s Multifunction Chlorine Tablets to work best, keeping the water safe (consistent PH etc). There’s very little maintenance to be fair, but I’d keep a bottle of Foam Reducer handy as it can sometimes become a little frothy… and you’ll need filters, maybe replacing them every 3-4 sessions. To date, it appears to be quite economical, no huge energy bills after using say once a week.
I brought this to keep the kids entertained throughout the summer holidays for those days we had nothing planned. I had been looking for a while and refused to pay the extortionate prices some companies charge. This was too good to be true, that I was anticipating a bad point but it’s been great and worth every Penny. Even great for the adults with a cheeky glass of wine to unwind from the day. I did purchase the light separate which just adds to the atmosphere when it’s dark in the evenings. Very happy purchase.
Short review. All great. A lot of fun and chill. Ill give 5 stars but the pump unit leaking… what You need to know. 5 hr of heating water from 28 to 33 Celcius degrees will cost you about 6 .
I got my first hands on look at one of these at a friend’s party. My son had a blast and we bought one for ourselves the next day. We had written them off for years as just a cheap bit of rubbish for those that can’t afford a real hot tub. How wrong we were. I’m a total convert. They are easy to setup and hold their temperature amazingly well. Mine is set to 38 and has never gone below 36 all summer. And that was after prolonged use with the bubbles raging. The only difficulty is with water chemistry. That is something all hot tub owners have to deal with and is no worse here. You need to test regularly and be prepared to make adjustments. You’re going to need to buy all the relevant chemicals and test strips. Not a major issue but I’m used to more complex versions of this with my marine fish tanks. This is a walk-in-the-park by comparison. Just worth researching so you know what you’re getting into.
There’s no arguing these spas are great and we really enjoy ours. That said, we had the older model Vegas. We only purchased a new one because the inflatable got filthy when oil off of our decking got on the bottom (through the rubber mats). The new pump though better looking, doesn’t seem as powerful and the filter wants changing every 4/5 hours of use unlike the old pump. So much so, as we still have the old pump we’re considering swapping it over.
So glad we chose the square model
Lovely and spacious for 2 people and not too intimate with four. Good strong bubbles
Would recommend placing it on an insulated board and a mat to preserve some heat. Pump is a soft drone so not too annoying unless right outside bedroom window!!
It comes up to temperature quite quickly and holds its temperature when left on
37 38 39 is just lovely
the base is squishy and quite comfy. We have it on all the time and were in it on Xmas day!
Once inflated, surround is very sturdy and good to climb over. The lid might need pumping up occasionally but easy to do.
The Clips need to be done up tightly to avoid water pooling on the lid. This will happen if it’s not on a completely flat surface
All in all , very pleased, great Value for money and it has changed our leisure time for the better. Now we go in every evening instead of watching trashy TV, a perfect wind down before bed.
Delivery was very good on the Hot Tub, I think it should come with a starter kit of chemicals from Lay z spas. Easy to unbox and assemble/ inflate I would suggest watching the videos on You Tube before commencing they are very helpful especially when using the chemicals. The tub is quite deep so a shorter person will need a cushion, when the jets are on it is quite noisy so think about location, the app is good as well and easy to set up. My biggest gripe is the jets are not adjustable it is 100% on or off considering we bought the Milan for this reason it’s disappointing I have e mailed Lay Z spa and created a job ticket sadly these days like a lot of companies no response very poor customer service. Finally a company should not advertise in its blurb that a product has 2 speeds when it clearly does not !
We bought this after hiring one for the weekend. Wish we had done it years ago. This hot tub is brilliant, took us a few weeks to get the hang of using the chemicals but once we realised that having the ph right was the way to getting the chlorine correct. Make sure you order plenty of the dip sticks to test the water chemicals. We used a lot in the first few weeks. Don’t buy the expensive mats you can get them at DIY places for 1/2 the price.
We would pay a bit extra next time and get one with water jets not just bubbles as they are quieter. We use it everyday and our grandchildren love it. With our holidays being postponed it has brought us a lot of pleasure without leaving the house.
First off I love this thing and had no problem getting it inflated, filled and running. The instructions aren’t great and despite the manual all being in English only has some unclear pictures for the important bits, however there really is only one way to connect everything so not that hard to work out.
I couldn’t get the wifi to connect with my Samsung phone so i pulled out my old iPhone and it connected first time with that. Really not sure who’s to blame for that one but something to be aware of. Once it was connected the app works fine on my Samsung phone though.
Finally this is only a six person hot tub if you’re filling it with toddlers. Two adults is comfortable; a third stops anyone really stretching out and relaxing properly; and six would only be feasible with a significant level of intimacy.
We debated endlessly whether to buy one of these and I did lots of research on the different brands and models available and read carefully various feedback given online.
I would highly recommend you take the plunge and buy one. So easy to set up, arrived in a small (but heavy) box and inflates in minutes. Takes a while to fill up, and a few hours to heat up but within an afternoon we were in and enjoying it.
Solid construction; soft comfortable base to sit on; pump/bubble machine is very quiet; comes with a decent length and robust cable and 3 pin plug; and the bubbles are really nice.
I think 6 adults would be a squeeze (but not impossible at all), but I couldn’t find one advertised with significantly larger dimensions that wasn’t solid and into the many thousands of pounds.
We love it. Go for it!
This is our first venture into a hot tub and we and the family are impressed. Works well, fits about 4 at a push, certainly 3 with ease and is not too big for me and the missus to enjoy either alone. I rested it on two layers of flooring. The Lay-z-spa and some garage / workout foam flooring to provide thermal protection below.
Costs to run… well I reckon just ticking over with no use, covered etc at 35oC, about 1.50 a day (it’s outside and in Yorkshire so depends on ambient temp!) rising to 4-4.50 when being hammered by the kids that don’t pay the leccy bill at 38oC +) for 10+ hours. We will probably empty it October to Mid-Spring as I suspect costs will outweigh the pleasures.
As for hassle… it’s like having another pet. Keeping up to the filter and chemicals is definitely worthwhile.
Had the older model of the Vegas lazy spa and this one is much better. The height of it is just a little shorter by a couple of cms which makes getting in and out easier. Resting head agains the back is more comfortable. The base unit (not when using bubbles) is so much quieter than the older model which is great. It maintains the heat for longer. It comes with a drinks holder on the device also very handy. The best part which makes a huge difference is the fact there is a port and tube attached to the bottom which makes emptying so much easier. The older model did not have this so the water did not drain out of the bottom well as the pressure of the water on the floor valve kept the water in and you had to lift the hot tub up to allow the water to drain. The new one had the valve which opens to a tube where u can attach the hose for easy draining.
Went with this model which is one of the more expensive inflatable options for my first delve into hot tubs as I was unsure about the inflatable element. I have to say very impressed. Instructions are reasonable, though could be more detailed. Relatively simple to put together and inflate. Once setup and filled with water though it’s brilliant.
Very sturdy, heater is good and efficient and jets are nice and powerful (don’t get me wrong this doesn’t have the fancy massage options of the expensive types) but for the money it’s great and all the family love it. We have used it every night so far. And just trying the timer option as busy for a few days.
Chemicals are a bit of a chew to get right, but I think that’s hot tubs in general. I would advise investing in foam mats underneath to protect and insulate for costs.
Suitable for kids as well (mine are eight and six) one of them has sensitive skin and no adverse reactions at all
I bought this spa after being really disappointed with another make that broke shortly after buying it. My daughter with SEN loves water so I needed to find another reliable spa by a recommended manufacturer; I’ve found it with this model!
The set up was quick (instructions could’ve been a bit clearer [ended up looking on the internet to clarify some details]) and once it was filled with water, I left it on overnight and by the early morning, it was a wonderfully warm temperature and ready to use.
The jets are powerful and massaging, the spa appears sturdy and overall it is easy to use. The inflated lid is an added bonus to maintain the waters temperature and keep electricity bills affordable! The filter is easy to clean and the chlorine attachment is an added bonus.
It’s definitely worth paying the little extra money for a decent spa and I would highly recommend this model and manufacturer.
My daughter and I love it and have used it everyday since it was set up.
