We bought for holidays unfortunately it broke but I think just cuz it was faulty nothing to do with the seller but for the first few days we used it was amazing nice mad relaxing gonna but a new one since it was so easy to return and we got a refund really recommend easy to set up and very enjoyable
Easy set up, great product. Shop around I bought for ease of delivery then found same product locally for 150 cheaper. Boxed it isn’t as big as I thought easily transported in small hatchback.
You need to ensure you keep the hottub chemically balanced to avoid algae growth. This includes adjusting free chlorine, ph and full instructions of how to do this are included in the instructions. Their is also a filter that you should change after the 1st 24 hours and then frequently ( at least weekly if you use your tub a lot) after that. These are not expensive.
During setup, the pump unit will inflate the hot tub (and the detachable top that clips on securely when the tub is not in use) in a matter of minutes. Attaching the pump unit to the pool is very easy and can be done by one person.
The pump unit has simple controls to adjust temperature (heating 800 litres by 1 degree will take time) but on cooler days, even with the heather on, you will lose heat faster than you can heat it. I pull the cover up like a blanket ( it floats) to help keep the heat in if it’s cold. Max temp is 40 degrees. I find this too warm, though. There is a timer functio so you can set rlthe pump/filter/heater to run for a set time. The jacuzzi function is 1 touch and there is a lock feature to prevent accidental operation that is enabled/disabled by a long press of the lock/unlock key.
The pool is wuite sturdy and looks decent enough but you should not sit or put too much weight on the edges. The pump is not too noisy and has a fairly long power cable with a built in RCD. The dark and light-grey of the pool and the pump should fit in with any garden
Setup: pool/ pump etc (45 mins)
Filling : 2.5 hours (depends on your water pressure)
Initial chemical dose and heating up : Allow at least 12 hours.
You will need to regularly check free chlorine, PH and alkalinity and dose with chemicals (not supplied) regularly.
You will need to change the water after frequent use. You can extend this by always showering prior to use and making sure the surrounding ground is clean. Do not use the pool if you have moisteriser or other skin lotions as an oily film will form and you will get a foam when you use the jacuzzi function.
I recommend buying some foam to go under the pool to make it more comfy and help insulate it. I got some interlocking foam tiles.
Emptying through the drain plug takes an age so I will be investing in a pump for this purpose.
Always replace the cover when not in use as the pool is quite deep enough for pets or unsupervised children to drown in and always test the water with the supplied testing strips before use. Scoop out leaf matter and the inevitable drowning insects. If the water looks murkey try cleaning chemicals but if you can’t get it to look nice and clear, drain clean and refill.
Hope this review helps you. There are some yt videos showing how to etc that I watched that helped me if you need them.
Had a little trouble understanding the assembly instructions but well worth the stress when up
Very sturdy
Bought this for a gift , bargain price shame about the daily cost to run it now though
Easy to inflate and assemble but filter is very sensitive
Its easy to set up but the up keep is a nightmare checking chlorine levels and ph levels mental
Take a while to get to temperature but once there the tub will hold the heat so you can turn it off over night and it only dropped 7 degrees.
My kids love it especially the jets
Its definitely not a 4 person tub 3 adults max at a squeeze
Bought this to replace the Miami spa that we had before that was leaking & pump finally gave up heater & all.
It was uneconomical to fix but to replace with the 2021/2 improved model which has a lot of improvements, hose pipe drain adapter, slimmer stronger including side walls & pump
Pros
– Thick pvc walls give it a sturdy premium feel.
– Easy to inflate & setup.
– High temperatures (40c) mean its great in winter too.
– Zero maintenance all-in-one pump, excluding water levels obviously.
– Easy to clean.
– Powerful bubbles to help loosen muscles.
– Little to no noise when idle.
Cons
– Rise in electricity bills, upto 2.00 a day when keeping it at (38C) . Although we turned it down to 20C Monday- Thursday and found the heaters rarely came on, which saved us alot midweek.
– Parts are a little expensive.
– No lights as standard.
Although this is an improvement on the last version of the Miami hot tub hopefully it will last longer than the two year warranty you get unlike the last one we bought.it is definitely smaller but still fairly decent, paid 330 which I thought was really good value.
This is our second laz-y-spa Miami and are very pleased with it, This new one is not so strong and robust as our last one and it’s the same model,
We did have a small problem with the plug !!
The plug on the pump had a two pin plug and a fault came up every time we switch it on,
The fault said we had no earth on the socket
We end up getting a professional electrician to solve our problem Problem fixed
We enjoy every time we have in our tub
We
I love the new design on this hot tub, the lid is a much better fit so it stays warm a lot longer, it’s a lot quicker to heat up, the moveable control panel is a nice touch and the tub walls appear to be thinner but more sturdy all in all a big improvement on the last hot tub we had which died on us albeit after four years of heavy use.
Hot tub perfect but there was 2 of the clips on the cover missing. Lid doesn’t stay closed properly if there’s rain sitting on the cover. It sags down and ends up in the tub
Bought this to replace our 5 yr old,old Lay-Z-Spa Miami, which had come to the end of its life.
Although it is advertised as a Miami it does not as seem big as the old model, the internal dimensions are the same but it seems that the external dimensions have been reduced. Also the materials used do not seem to be as robust as the old one, it feels more suited to indoor use than outdoor, everything feels thinner and frankly cheaper.
On the plus side the new pump/heater is much better in design and ease of use.
Love it. Easy to assemble and operate. Very strurdy and comfortable. Maintaining the water ph is not so easy but I’m sure I’ll come to master that, or at least my other half will!!
Have used it this Easter and it didn’t disappoint.
We found the pump was too noisy to run through the night but also found it retained its heat and also reheated quicker than a previous paris model we had hired.
Bubbles amazing giving q great massage thanks to the 120 air jets. Also a lovely feature the cup holders on the pump…very useful and fitted a bottle of wine aswell
Also looks lovely the black is very smart.
Tip…. buy a pump to drain its necessary
I would recommend getting the spa light too as it’s great fun for an evening spa
Enjoy
Perfect for 2 adults (& probably 2 adults & 2 children would be ok.). But not big enough for 4 adults. Not too expensive to run either! Happy custome
