This is Lego Technic set 42154. Consits of 1,477 pieces or bricks. The instruction manual has 5 stages to complete. Bags are numbered from 1 to 5. There are more then 400 steps to complete from the manual.
Front wheels turn. Six yellow pistons move up and down in the engine block when car moves. Back spoiler can also be lifted.
In conclusion: A challenging build. Doors open like gull wings. A worthy investment for Technic car enthusiasts.
Worth buying. Finished item looks good.
Bought this for my 10 year old little girl and she loves it. The step by step pages and numbered bags means she can complete each stage independently. A good buy but very pricey.
This set has a lot of parts and the build is quite complex, but with the help of my son we managed to build it over two days. Not that easy to put together, although I have to say that the instructions from LEGO are as always excellent. We definitely felt quite proud after completing the build!
I definitely found it with this, but in the best way. This took me a week of evenings to complete, and some parts left me scratching my head for a while, but the reward of the finished product made it all worthwhile and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the build.
Now, onto the next one…
Great built. The design is perfect. The doors are a little fragile, but work. The engine piston monument is great to see. A great addition to a Lego car collection.
This is a great Lego set! It is said to be 18+ and originally I meant to give it to my husband but my 12 years old child was sick at home and he managed to put it together in 3 days.
The instructions are very user-friendly and straightforward. Booklet has a chart showing you on each page how far you are to the end of the project.
Also, the parts are in separate bags for each step so it is easy to find pieces.
My only complaint is the stickers Not only for the price of the set I would rather have special pieces with printed logos etc. but the sticker sheet came all scrunched up (images attached). The Lego box was in mint condition, sealed and all so the stickers somehow got damaged inside the box on their own.
The product itself is very nice, it the shipping package is net good
Box arrived damaged, which is definitely a no-no if you plan to keep it boxed as a collection
Also it did got a lot of shaking while in transit so some of the stickers got some little damage from that..
Part of the new 2023 range of sets and aimed at the more grown up LEGO Fan/builder, this is perhaps the most advanced LEGO Sets I have had the pleasure of building, especially as it is also one of my all time favourite American muscle cars, the FORD GT. This is not a set for youngsters, the design is complex and a massive amount of LEGO pieces as well, this is not a set for the faint hearted. The LEGO Technic range is as you would expect, focused on the technical side so from building the chasis to the engine and working gear system, best advice is to constantly compare your build to the excellent pictorial based instructions to make sure what you are making is right or you may find having to double back to correct an error made early on. The final build is very large so make sure you have the space to display it but well worth it, one of the most challenging but rewarding LEGO sets possible, worth the high price and experience of building.
This will take a while to build, i like to use multiple tupper wear dishes to split up all my bricks and parts into colours so they are not lost then I just stack them up and put it to one side so I can come and go as I please. I am really happy with this. The detail is just amazing, they have captured everything perfectly as lego always do. If you are interested in maybe trying technic this set is a great set for you to start off on. Great for older kids and adults at a very bargain price. DO NOT buy if you are not committed to this build. Over all amazing product, i am so lucky to have my hands on this and I look forward to building it.
LEGO 42154 Technic 2022 Ford GT Car Model Kit
I have to admit that my first thoughts were 103.59 for a Lego model did seem a little crazy to me, but this is no ordinary Lego kit. Once complete this will look good in any display cabinet and will surely draw a lot of attention from visitors.
The kit arrives in a large box and weighs far more than any other Lego kit that I’ve had before and I’ve had quite a few over the years. This is clearly more of a collectors kit than a general build it, pull apart, and build again Lego model. The idea behind this kit is to take your time and enjoy the build, then proudly display the model when complete. This is a huge and complex kit, more designed for adults and experienced builders rather than for the kids to play with. There are 1466 pieces in total, assembly is pretty straight forward but not easy, an assembly guide is included in the box.
The Amazon listing is a little confusing as it states twice that this is suitable for ages between 18 months – 8 years, it then states the age range of 18 – 99 years. The box itself states 18 years upwards. This certainly is a little too complicated for a child to complete, but I’m sure a person below that age who has experience with harder Lego models could manage this.
As the asking price would suggest, this is quite a substantial model, when complete it should look great. Not only is it a large model that measures 15 x 3.5 inches when complete (39 x 9 cm), it is also highly detailed with some moving parts. The front steering can move from side to side using a knob on top of the vehicle, the interior of the cockpit is highly detailed rather than just a plastic seat plonked inside, the rear spoiler can also be adjusted. But the best for me is the V6 engine, this is not just an engine block, it is supplied in parts which when complete the pistons will actually move up and down the bores.
Overall, this in my opinion is a fantastic Lego kit. If you enjoy legendary cars, then this will allow you to build and display one. It does appear that there are further vehicles available in the range, I can’t wait to check them out.
