I Was a bit unsure about the price of this screen, but after consuming many reviews online of not just this screen but all the other unknown brand screens… i pulled the trigger on it based on two main things
    1. resolution… many of the unknown brand screens seem to top out at 1080p
    2. previous bad experience with unknown brand electronics from China

It arrived a couple of hours ago and i’m blown away with the performance and picture quality. The colours are vibrant, the image is crisp and bright

I Have it installed on my 15″ 2016 MacBook Pro touch bar and it worked out of the box. I was sort of expecting to need third party software to sort out the resolution based on the multiple portable monitor videos from YouTube that i had previously watched…. BUT NO! It just worked at it’s native resolution. Maybe thats another plus point from having bought a decent brand instead of a cheap one.

Great little portable monitor. Great for adding as a secondary monitor to give greater productivity.

Connected to the mains to charge the battery and switched on. the set up worked a dream from access to the internet, downloading all updates and mirroring everything on my main computer. This included Favourites, programmes, user names & passwords. What a difference to previous experiences.

The beauty of his laptop is its light weight, it’s lighter than a MacBook Air, yet it has a 17″ screen. The keyboards are slightly awkward, the sound could be better and the battery life isn’t quite as long as advertised, but overall a very handy compute

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThe screen hardware, including build quality, is great but because Apple doesn’t like the use non-Apple external displays it will not scale the resolution properly. If you just plug it in the screen will appear slightly blurry, distorted and never at the right resolution.

FIX: Use a third party app like Better Display / BetterDummy, note that it is not free. The app fools your mac into thinking it’s a fully compatible High DPI (HiDPI) and the result is a screen that’s just like your MacBook retina. In fact the colour rendering is slightly better.

The picture quality on this monitor is excelent with good colour accuracy, resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. It looses one star because it does not offer power delivery passthrough and would have been more versatile if it included a HDMI port, the stand is not as good as some others, but the image quality is far better than any other portable monitor I have tried.

Amazing product, really good screen. Super light, it almost feels fragile to touch, but it’s actually really good quality. I definitely recommend it!
    Tip for Mac users:
-when you use it for the first time, and the portable screen is your extended display, you’ll notice that the font is really small and hard to read.
Go to Settings > Display and instead of using the default 2560 x 1600 px, scale it down to 2048 x 1280 and the print gets larger, but it drops in quality; not by a massive amount though.

The other option is to use it as your main screen and all of your settings from your Mac will automatically apply to your secondary screen.

Overall: buy it! LG never disappoints

Amazing and easy to set up

Really happy with this product – my boyfriend bought one and I liked it so much I got one for myself! Couldn’t find a higher resolution portable screen elsewhere for a reasonable price point (I got this on sale for 200). Excellent for remote working in coffee shops and co-working for anyone who can’t live without a second screen – has made me a lot more mobile. And it doesn’t need a charger or run out of battery! Recommend!

Received quickly and securely. Set up within minutes. Very happy with this as my previous lappy, a Lenovo, fell at this first hurdle.
Third costly LG product I have bought that I am 100 % satisfied with. The matt finish is robust, good length of mains lead, Win11 updates are quick and smooth, no complaints.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor the price this is an amazing piece of kit with really decent resolution, great colour, and excellent brightness. Works out of the box with my MacBook pro. There are some things that it would be nice to have, like a proper mac driver that will allow the computer to control brightness ut overall for the price you really can’t fault it.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersAt last, a laptop that’s not only powerful enough to play moderately demanding games and, despite the 17-inch screen, also light enough to carry around and has battery life that keeps it going all day. And for me, the other big plus is that it’s quiet. Even running a game with the fan seemingly on max output, it provides a bit of white noise in the background, not a jet engine whine like my previous machine. Most of the time though, it’s completely silent. Again, unlike my last laptop.

With 1TB of storage and 16GB of memory, the hardware supports everything I need it for. You might want more RAM or storage if you were editing videos, for example, but the specs suggest you can add more storage; I haven’t opened it up to check.

The centrepiece though is the display. I love the anti-glare screen so I can sit by a window without seeing reflections, narrow bezels allow the screen to fill the field of view and it’s plenty bright enough for my uses.

Other user interface issues: the keyboard is just deep and clicky enough to be great to type on, and the separate number pad is useful too – if only for the Enter key that sits on the far right and so is easy to prod when typing quickly.

If I had a criticism, it would be that the Enter key in the middle of the keyboard is harder to pick out than if it were larger, and I’d prefer the Home and End keys, which I use a lot when typing, not to require use of the Fn key. The black case also picks up fingerprints easily but these are easy to remove with isopropyl alcohol. Or vodka will probably work too! And I’d prefer to have had Windows Pro installed by default rather than Home just for the additional networking functionality but that’s simple to remedy.

Charging is via a USB-C port and the charger itself is a fairly small, lightweight component, making the whole apparatus easy to carry around when necessary.

Very impressed with this machine. It’s not the cheapest on the market but having spent weeks researching the 17-inch laptop market, you will struggle to find one that combines all these features without paying a whole lot more.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersExcellent screen which has made life easier WFH. I was initially looking at getting a conventional monitor but it meant I’d be fixed to a single desk . With this portable monitor I’m able to move room to room or even go for a drive to the beach and work there if I’m in the mood to.

Works with both windows and Mac so that’s a plus. I haven’t tried it with my iPad although going from 12.9 to 16 inches is probably not needed.

negatives – it’s usb c only so my iPhone is not working with it (someone more technologically advanced might know a way to) . I haven’t tried android either.

    Excelle

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhat a game changer over my previous laptop. Instant boot up and no more waiting for apps to load. Light as a feather and very slim hardly know that you are carrying it.
    Would recommend.

    Pros:
    – super Lightweight and comes with an excellent cover/stand
    – clarity and brightness is really good
    – portability wise I can easily put it away when I’m not working and it’s very easy to take to work when working from the office

    Cons:
    – Price is on the high side, could be more affordable for what it offers
    – the cover is slightly flimsy and could be made of better quality
    – I wish the edges and the monitor screen sat plush similar to an iPad

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI’ve now had this for 3 weeks. I’m completely enchanted with it and that takes some doing for an 85 years old. What’s so pleasing about it? Well, for starters, it’s fast, has a 17″ screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, and it’s so light. Screen reflections are barely noticeable, the keyboard is very comfortable to use, it boots to a usable screen in 12 seconds and shuts down in 7 seconds. I could go on but I think that’s enough to convey my feelings about it. I like it! A lot.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersSuch a pleasant, light weight portable monitor.
Screen display is vibrant and very pleasant to look at. Colors pop out of the screen with deep saturation. Ok folio cover to protect the screen.
Just what I was looking for. I use it for home working. I am not a content creator requiring precision color accuracy, but it more than satisfies my needs. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is by far and away the best laptop I have owned. Lightweight – barely heavier than the lightweight 13″ laptop I was using previously, but still feels rugged. Excellent display, bright and high resolution, and it’s 16:10 aspect ratio so more vertical space compared to the 16:9 alternatives. The fan is off most of the time but when it’s on it is whisper quiet.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI felt the time had finally come to buy my first laptop after years of resurrecting my offspring’s cast offs. This one is so much faster than anything I’ve experienced previously, though time will tell if it goes the way of every other windows device I’ve used going back to 3.11.
