Honestly questioned my own sanity a bit when I bought this. No doubt it is an expensive mouse mat but my old one was worn out and I already had the 502 lightspeed.

No regrets. I never found cable charging the mouse *that* much of a bother but never having to worry about it at all is far better!

Once set up, it just works. I’ve been using for several months now never had a problem with it. Pad is large, has two options for surface and charging is consistent anywhere on the mat.

Was expensive when first released but can be found cheaper now comes with two large mats hard and soft quiet large mouse mats and charging coin for your mouse a great product if you don’t want to charge your mouse or have it wired

Make sure you download the Logitech program it recommends in order to change the RGB.

I feel like it’s pricey, but at least you do not have to worry about charging your wireless mouse ever again.

Come with two covers, both plain other then branding.

I have had zero issues with the mouse mat so far.

Not the biggest, or probably the best, mousepad you could buy especially for the price, but it is a very good mousepad, and it is also an incredibly convenient invisible charger (if you have the correct Logitech wireless mouse) that’s made me completely forget that my mouse has a battery in it. Surface texture is very uniform, great for gaming.

Comes with a hard and a soft mat and both feel great, however the hard mat has a fairly sharp edge due to being made of a hard material so if your hand or arm rest against the edge of the mat it can be uncomfortable or even hurt after long use.

Bought this for 67.49 when it was on offer, previously I had to plug my Pro wireless overnight to recharge it. Now I just leave the mouse on the pad and it trickle charges the mouse, it doesn’t charge quickly, nor does it charge it to 100%. It’s designed to keep the charge between 85-95%, this is by design. It comes with a cloth mat, and a hard mat. I prefer the hard mat, my only gripe about this surface is that the edges of the mat are sharp, I have an Asus Balteus, and this has bevelled edges which is a better design. Most of the time you shouldn’t notice this unless you keep your wrist flush with the mat. Highly recommended if you have a compatible mouse.

    Pairs well with powerplay mice

Quite expensive for a mat but an excellent addition if you have an G903 or 502. Having “full battery” all the time and mouse pad in the same time is great.
It would be great if GHub will recognise the mat in order to be able to change the light.
Recommend but not at full price.

Honestly no complaints whatsoever. Works exactly as described and have never needed to charge my mouse. Knows when to turn off/on and extremely useful that the receiver is already in it. Turned off the RGB in the software and fades into my desk now.

It is slightly niche and expensive but for me completely worth it for the convenience/utility.

Product comes in 4 parts; the Powerplay base, the Powercore “puck” module, and 2 different mouse pads.

-The puck replaces the circular magnetic weight holder on the bottom of the G903, G703, and G502LS. If you currently have weights inserted into that space, you will no longer be able to use them with the puck installed.
-The charging pad does it’s job, the coil has great coverage so there aren’t any spots where the mouse will stop charging. Charging isn’t as fast as plugging a cable into the mouse, but since it is being constantly charged, this doesn’t matter. The biggest issue with the product lies with the bottom of the pad, it is made out of rubber or rubber-like material, but it is entirely smooth so it slips around constantly on most surfaces. I had to add some double-sided tape just to stop it from moving around the desk. Nothing like Logitech’s other mousepads.
-The 2 mousepad tops have a similar issue, the mouse-side surface on both of them are great, but the bottoms are not nearly grippy enough and also needed double-sided tape to stay aligned with the charging base. The soft one is a little firmer and thinner than the G640 pad I used previously, it reminds me a little of a Steelseries Qck. The hard one is very nice, and is the first hard mousepad I’ve enjoyed using.

The Powerplay is better than any other mouse charging mat on the market, but it still isn’t perfect.

Great mousepad, nice to not have to worry about a mouse charge level. Wish they had larger sizes though, also wish it was a lil more grippy, dont understand why they made it plastic under the mousepad. Seems to slide around a lil

While the battery life on my Pro Wireless is fantastic I do fin having to reconnect somewhat annoying. The powerplay mousemat removes that requirement. The mousepad, which comes with a connector or battery replacement that is compatible with a number of Logitech wireless mice, is simple to connect and works as intended.

    Pros:
    – No requirement for charging, charging happens as you use the mouse
    – Simple set up
    – Looks great

    Cons:
    – Price is slightly high. I’d be more comfortable at a 60
    – As a person who prefers an XL mousepad I find this mousepad a little small

Overall Id recommend the mousepad if you don’t want to worry about charging your mouse. Make sure you look into mouse compatibility prior to purchase. My mouse is the Logitech Pro Wireless

he matt keeps the mouse charged and the different option of mats is good but it would be nice if the power connecters had multiple points for connection side or top perhaps in future designs if you only have a limited space to use your keyboard and mouse IE keyboard above mouse mat then the power connection will get in the way but if you have a big space to use then you will have no problem with this product but over all still a good produc

Comes with Hard and Soft surface which you can choose depending on personal preference. I personally use the soft surface as it seems a little faster for my G Pro Superlight. All in all, its a great product and I love not having to worry about the battery life on my mouse.

What can you say about a mouse mat the charges a fancy mouse wirelessly, expensive yes, good gaming surface, if only they did a bundle with the G903 mouse and G613 keyboard.

Less than 2 years old and for an expensive product the mouse mats are shabby now, disappointed in quality, I also bought the keyboard and mouse, bad move, keyboard replaced and awaiting the mouse to be replaced, Logitech support shockingly bad. Next purchase will be Corsair !

I have owned a g pro wireless for about a year and I had no idea this pad existed. The mouse does have a good battery life on its own but not having to pull out a cable when it does need charged is super convenient. Its also nice that the mouse connects to the mousepad so you dont need to waste another usb port with a wireless dongle. The only gripe I have with the pad is the bar at the top left as it is a bit big and does make it awkward to fit on my shallow desk.

Whether it’s worth the price is up to you, but it absolutely does everything advertised and does it flawlessly.

Having all the benefits of wireless whilst never having to plug in or change batteries to charge up is wonderful.

The fact you can change the surface for different textures, or when one gets too worn is also fantastic. I won’t be changing mouse pads now until someone releases an XL version of something like this that also incorporates a wireless keyboard and place for charging a phone.

My one and only issue is the finished quality of the changeable surfaces Logitech provide (see photo). They’re already rough around the edges when they first arrive, not sown like a traditional mouse pad. That said, I’ve had mine a few months now and the edges haven’t deteriorated further so I can only assume it’s cosmetic and doesn’t actually affect durability.

    Almost perfect!

Yes I am inventing words again, this is very cool & although expensive nigh on 100! I am thinking already of getting a second one for my other laptops. Even my G703 works with the transmitter still plugged into the toughbook & once I disconnect the powerplay kit switches over seemlessly. Which is what I was slightly worried over. Would I need to keep the little dongle handy & not lose it!! Because my main laptop gets moved with my trucking across uk.

This is going to be a game changer & has made me move my laptop to a sensible distance away from me.

I do not know what to say about this apart from the fact that it is absolutely amazing! Keeps my mouse charged 100% of the time and it is very comfortable underneath the mouse and with my hand resting on it too. Worth every penny. you also get an extra mat too! whats not to like about this!

his is probably the most expensive mouse mat I’ve ever purchased I think it may be the most expensive mouse mat I will ever purchase. the fact that it charges compatible mice is very useful but absolutely a luxury that no one really needs. the surface itself is very smooth and seems to track perfectly it comes with both a hard and a soft top you can use one at a time, the other must be stored away off the base of the mat. While its a luxury item I think it’s well worth the money so that you never have to consider charging your mouse in the future.

Arrived in the original packaging, works with my G903 mouse out fo the box.
Had some difficulties finding the right software G Hub. After downloading it, it works very well.
It contains two maps, soft and hard, both can be used.
The are is big, but not bulky. It’s similar to other gaming mats by Logitech in size.

The box contains 2 mats, charging undermat, USB cable for charging and connecting a wireless mouse, a round token used as a charger for the mouse.

I’ve had it in my mind to buy the power play pad for while and a drop in retail price was just the right push that I needed. For the price you pay there is really not much to be said because it’s not one of the cheap accessories. However the quality is great so you won’t feel like you’ve thrown your money to the wind. It keeps your mouse battery between 85%-95% and the surface is great. You get two types hard and soft yet I think 99% of people will use the the soft cloth one.

I am in love with this. It makes a already amazing product reach near perfect levels. I have never had to worry about charging my mouse once.

I absolutely love this charging pad in conjunction with my G903. The benefits of having a wireless mouse and not worrying about battery life is absolutely fantastic! The field’s coverage is truly nearly the entire pad surface and you can park the mouse anywhere you please.

The only caveats I could think of would be finding replacement surface mats down the road, as the original one wears and the extremely slow charging speed. My mouse charged from 45% to about 95% in more than 8 hours, however about 4 of those hours the mouse was in use with the RGB effects on.

The reason that I don’t think the slow charge is an issue is that my PC runs power through the USB port even when shut down, so the pad charges the mouse 24/7. Also I don’t think during use on the pad, the battery can ever drop to low levels.
In my eyes this product is as perfect as it can get and I absolutely love it! hope that Logitech will continue producing compatible mice in the future.

If you hate having to charge your mouse, this is for you.

The Mousemat works flawlessly and keeps my wireless mouse constantly charged. It is well worth the upgrade to remove the cables and get the same peformance of a wired mouse. The mousemat comes with 2 swapable surfaces, a cloth surface and a hard surface. The Cloth is of extremley low quality fabric and frays very easily. If you like soft surface mousemats but dont care about the quality then go for this one, but otherwise i’d recommend to stick with the included hard surface mousemat.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought this with my Logitech G Wireless pro and it had changed my gaming experience. Cable-less gaming with a mouse that has unlimited battery life. It really is the most modern bit of gaming kit out there and I would recommend if you have a lot of pennies to spare. However there are a few minors:

    – If you use low sensitivities whilst gaming, it might be a little bit small. However I think I use the average and I haven’t had many issues whatsoever.

    – Sometimes my mouse would find it difficult to charge when under 80% (which is when it should start) and I would go on the Logitech Software and find it at a low battery life. But that is a rare occasion and turning my mouse off and on again seems to do the trick!

-My biggest issue with the product is the quality of the actual pads themselves. The hard top mouse pad is OK, however personally I don’t like the type of surface. The cloth pad’s quality is poor, where I could feel my mouse getting slowed down in certain places on the pad. As a solution I just used my old mouse pad over the top and it charges fine and all that. Just bear in mind that a certain thickness wont allow the mouse to charge.

Overall, even with the bad points of the mouse pad, I would still recommend this because it makes wireless gaming so much easier (I play games many hours a week!).

I purchased this mouse mat with the G903 Mouse and so was able to use the wireless charging straight away. Setting up was simple and easy, practically plug and play though downloading and using the Logitech drivers give the best experience.
Prior to this i had a Razer mouse mat which waws good by all accounts but every few days i had to charge or change the battery in the mouse which was frankly getting on my nerves. This simple innovation makes all the difference.
Only downside is the cost of it. I am also aware that other brands have their own version too but as far as i am aware, only Logitech has the version where you can be moving the mouse and its charging.

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersG903 Review:

My Logitech G602 mouse finally started to die with the middle mouse button not always registering when pressed or staying pressed down when held. I was never truely happy with the mouse wheel on the G602 though so I decided it was time to get a new mouse rather than replace it with the same.

It wasn’t long before I came across the Logitech G903 mouse which is one of their latest wireless gaming mice. One thing I loved about the G602 was the incredibly long battery life so this was something I really wanted again and it looked like this mouse goes even further by using PowerPlay technology so that it charges automatically on the mouse mat – that’s impressive stuff!

PowerPlay recharging functionality does come at a massive premium though as you’ll need a mouse that supports the PowerPlay charging technology as well as the Logitech PowerPlay Wireless Charging pad. Essentially, once you have both products and use them together you will never need to plug the mouse in to recharge again. If you are not planning on forking out for the PowerPlay pad you would be better of buying the G900 mouse instead which is pretty much the same as the G903 but without the PowerPlay charging functionality.

Logitech also claim to have really nailed down their wireless technology to the extent that it is better than some hard wired mice! A very bold claim indeed but for the G903 Logitech’s LightSpeed wireless technology delivers 1ms latency, 1000 reports/sec rate and upto 12000 DPI sensitity which is very impressive.

On arrival the mouse arrived in a very nice box which certainly gives a premium feel to the product – and so it should as this mouse is definitely in the premium price range! Inside the box is the mouse, USB lead, basic instructions and a small plastic box that contains the USB dongle, an adapter to connect the dongle to the cable, the optional mouse weight and spare buttons/blanking plates. The spare buttons/blanking plates allow you to choose to have no side buttons, 2 buttons on the left hand side, 2 buttons on the right hand side or 2 buttons on both sides – a really neat feature that will probably be welcomed by left handed people. The down side to this is that you only get 2 buttons per side which may take some getting used to you’re used to more side buttons.

I find the mouse initially took a little getting used to compared to the G602 but after a few days of use I absolutely love it now. It feels quite nice in the hand with a matt plastic finish. The buttons are easy to click and sound and feel like they are evenly configured. The mouse wheel is quite firm and in ratchet mode each ratchet click is quite loud compared to other mice I’ve used. Just below the mouse wheel is a button that allows you to toggle between ratchet and free spin mode. Ratchet mode provides accuracy in games and free spin mode is great for whizzing down long webpages or documents etc. It would be nice if the mouse could toggle between ratchet and free spin depending on how fast you spin the wheel, like on some of Logitech’s productivity mice, but to be fair I will mostly use ratchet mode anyway. The mouse wheel can also be pressed left or right which can be remapped to pretty much anything using the Logitech Gaming Software.

Just below the mouse wheel toggle button is 2 buttons for adjusting the DPI on the fly which is quite cool but something I don’t tend to adjust much after I’ve found my happy place but of course you can remap these buttons to pretty much anything else.

The mouse works perfectly with the Logitech Gaming Software and can either use onboard memory to store different profiles or use the software for automatic application detection to load different profiles depending on the game or application that is running. The mouse has an RGB illuminated ‘G’ logo which can be controlled from the Logitech Gaming Software and configured to sync with other Logitech G devices. There are also some LEDs that illuminate when you change the DPI which gives a visual indication of the DPI you are currently using. The RGB logo is located under where your palm sits so you won’t actually see it when you are gaming. Of course all the RGB lighting can be turned off if it’s not your thing or if you want to preserve your battery life.

I’m using the G903 with the PowerPlay Wireless Charging pad so can’t comment on the battery life of the mouse in standalone mode. I can confirm that the mouse works perfectly with the PowerPlay pad and always has more than 90% charge, even after several hours of use. I’m using the fastest report rate and messing with the RGB at the moment so probably drawing as much power as the mouse can and it’s working flawlessly.

So I’ve reeled off plenty of positives about this mouse but there are a couple of negatives for me. I find that every mouse I’ve ever bought has had to make a compromise in one way or another, thankfully the compromises on this mouse are far less:

It’s really expensive for a mouse, especially if you opt to get the PowerPlay charging pad too. I paid nowhere near the mouse RRP of 149 but it was still nearly on the wrong side of 100 for a mouse!

There is nowhere to store the USB receiver which is absolutely crazy – my G602 had a little compartment in the bottom for the adapter and even the new Logitech G Pro gaming mouse has this feature too. At least Logitech have provided a small box to the keep the receiver in but it’s another thing to carry around if you plan on taking the mouse around with you.

The middle mouse button is quite firm to activate… I suspect I’ve not got used to it yet but occaisionally I’ll accidentally press the wheel to the left or right just before I press the middle button. If you map the wheel side presses to certain keystrokes you may accidentally activate it before pressing the middle mouse button.

Looks like I’ve waffled on again so probably best summarise!

    Pros:
    – Excellent build quality and feels nice and well made
    – Never needs plugging in to charge or batteries changing when used with the PowerPlay charging pad
    – 2 button side panels that can be added or removed to both the left and right hand side of the mouse (for a total of 4 buttons)
    – Mouse wheel has ratchet and free spin mode (manually needs toggling)
    – Mouse wheel has left and right tilt click
    – Incredibly responsive using LightSpeed wireless technology for high report rate, high DPI and low latency
    – Integrates perfectly with Logitech Gaming Software
    – RGB lighting that is customizable with Logitech Gaming Software

    Neutral
    – RGB lighting for the ‘G’ logo is located where your palm sits so won’t be visible when in use

    Cons:
    – Expensive
    – Nowhere to store the USB receiver which could easily be lost
    – Middle mouse ia a bit firm and easy to accidentally press it left or right before pressing it down

    PowerPlay Pad Review:

I purchased the Logitech PowerPlay Pad to go with a new Logitech G903 mouse and I have definitely not been disappointed so far. Whilst I agree that this is an expensive nice-to-have accessory I have found it offers me amazing piece of mind knowing the battery in my mouse is not suddenly going to run out during use and require charging or replacing batteries. Coming from a G602 mouse I wasn’t actually changing the batteries very often but I used rechargeable batteries in that mouse and the Logitech software struggled to detect those properly… on more than one occasion they suddenly needed replacing – normally when I was expecting it least!

The PowerPlay pad arrived in quite a large box 373 x 350 x 36mm so definitely not going to fit through your letterbox! The box itself is actually quite high quality and made from very thick card – it really does add to the premium feel of the overall product. Inside the box is the PowerPlay pad itself, the PowerPlay charging ‘PowerCore Module’ as well as 2 different surfaces (hard and fabric) to use. These mats alone cost a few quid so for me it helps justify the cost slightly, even with my ‘man maths’.

I really like the fabric surface at the moment – it basically feels like the oldskool mouse mats (they used to cost about 2 and the cloth was mounted to a 5mm thick piece of foam). I’ve read a few reviews that have said the fabric easily peels away from the surface and that does concern me somewhat. I also read that Logitech apparently revised this pad to reduce the fraying on this pad but I’ve not been able to clarify if that’s true or not. The fact of the matter is that the material is glued to a piece of PET plastic and the mat has been cleanly cut out of that, with nothing protecting the edges. As a result the edges are exposed and if you keep catching them then it will definitely fray. Logitech could have easily fixed this by stitching around the outside edge or dipping it in some kind of sealant… but they have chosen not to. Perhaps Logitech will release revised mats at a later date that fix these potential issues?

The PowerPlay pad works perfectly with the Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) but the options are understandably quite limited. You can control the lighting of the Logitech ‘G’ logo on the pad, which syncs with most other Logitech Gaming products, but that’s about it. The new version of the software allows you to disable the charging ability of the PowerPlay pad but I don’t feel that’s of much use to me at the moment.

The PowerPlay pad connects to the computer using a nylon braided USB lead. The PowerPlay pad also contains a built-in USB receiver so my G903 mouse connects directly to it without needing the supplied USB dongle to be connected. A massive convenience in that regard but also potential to lose the actual USB receiver for the mouse as it’s very small and cannot be concealed within the mouse itself!

I managed to purchase the Logitech PowerPlay pad and G903 mouse for considerably less than the RRP of 249 for the pair and even then it was still quite expensive. However, this is bleeding edge wireless mouse technology and you never need to think about charging the mouse again. I love the convenience and piece of mind it offers me so I’m very happy with my purchase. I hope Logitech’s new mice are compatible with this pad so I can take advantage of those when they come out.

    Pros:
    – Never need to plug the mouse in or change its batteries again
    – Large surface area of 340x280mm
    – Built in wireless receiver
    – Comes with both a soft fabric and hard play surface
    – RGB illuminated G logo (if that’s your kind of thing!)
    – Works seamlessly with Logitech G Software

    Cons:
    – Fabric surface has exposed sides which will fray or pull away from the base
    – Expensive but this is bleeding edge mouse technology

G903 and PowerPlay Pad - Awesome piece of mouse technology!

    I love this mouse mat.

It charges your wireless mouse and also acts as the receiver. The surfaces are big and high quality. The cable is the same as the other Logitech accessories.

The software is top notch as with all Logitech hardware which is such a great experience compared to the horrendous software provided by Razer.

The peace of mind of always knowing your mouse is charged gives you all the benefits of a wireless mouse with none of the trade off. Highly recommended.

I had a G903 mouse which was constantly having to be recharged because I forgot it. Not any more I just leave it on the mat and it’s never been low on battery since. I would give this item 5 stars if Logitech made it compatible with my phones wireless charging.

Ok.. so I’ll admit, I buy a lot of computer gear and many of my peripherals are Logitech but I bought this and the G903 mouse as I wanted to replace my previous wired G mouse but not have the problems with batteries running out just when I don’t want the to.

The combination of mouse pad and mouse does exactly what I need it to and its working flawlessly the only gripe i have with it is that you can’t change the weight of the mouse with the included weights if you are using the wireless charging module but this is a small issue that doesn’t for me detract from the experience or overall quality of the product..

The pad arrived before the mouse, safely packed. So far I am very pleased with the pair

3 years later update: I had to do some renovations at home, so I packed everything up, and didn’t use them for some time, around 4-5 months. After that, the mouse can’t connect to the pad, and can’t recharge either. So I am left with a useless pad and a mouse that has to be plugged in to get charged too often for my taste
