This is the second one of these mice I’ve had, the first one lasted about 5 years before it started double clicking, (it still works it just clicks twice sometimes when it should only click once). Everything else about the mouse has been great. The optional software that comes with it is also simple and easy to use and the range of RGB colour choices is great and the DPI (sensitivity) customization can also be really useful. Great product for the price.
Mouse is great, glides perfectly, nice weight to it and the cable is light and unintrusive. Its miles better than the more expensive mouse that it replaced. It just feels really good.
My only issue with it is the software you need to download to tune its features. While technically optional and not part of the product, it is necessary to control lighting, fine tune dpi and enable its programming. The mouse wants to send my usage data to the company. My mouse wants to have my Discord data on any server I’m in, my name, my notifications. You are a mouse. You do not get to take any of that. If you change the mouses settings in the software and close the program, it instantly loses all of the changes.
The device is 100% useable out of the box as standard and physically an excellent device. But many of its selling point features are locked behind ridiculous data harvesting enabled software.
Peak Logitech ergonomics, lightweight and low price? This is definitely a steal. Has not gone wrong at all, and always reliable. Really helpful and simple DPI switching system which I often just use the default 800 or 1600 dpi.
RGB is pretty good, not searingly bright nor dim. Good customisation in G-HUB, and it’s superb that you can save G-HUB settings to the mouse memory so you don’t need to lose performance running G-HUB in the background.
Side buttons are pretty good, I set mine up to ctrl C and ctrl V for writing essays and reports.
Covered by Logitech manufacture warranty, service has always been fantastic. They’ll hook you up with a new mouse if this one’s gone wrong.
Our experience is once again that Logitech equipment is good quality, durable, and while not the cheapest to buy, it works perfectly and I believe it will give us some years of good service.
This replaced a wireless mouse that was at end of life. I recommended to our two children, 12 and 14, that they use a wired gaming mouse. It’s as fast as it can be, no errors or problems of latency or weak battery, light, and is sized perfectly for their size of hand.
My son set up the colours etc as he likes it.
Working perfectly and the family is happy!
I’ve been using the Logitech G203 LIGHTSYNC Gaming Mouse for a while now, and it has become an essential part of my gaming setup. Here’s why this mouse stands out.
Connectivity: The wired connection ensures a lag-free experience. The USB cable is long enough to provide flexibility in setup and guarantees a reliable connection without any interruptions.
Ease of Use: Setting up the G203 was a breeze. The Logitech G HUB software is intuitive, allowing me to customise settings and RGB lighting effortlessly. It’s straightforward and user-friendly, perfect for both beginners and experienced gamers.
Scroll Wheel: The scroll wheel on this mouse is fantastic. It has a satisfying tactile feel and scrolls smoothly, making it great for both gaming and everyday tasks. It’s responsive and precise, adding to the overall ease of use.
Durability: The build quality of the G203 is impressive. Despite its lightweight design, it feels sturdy and durable. I’ve used it extensively, and it still looks and performs like new. The materials used are high-quality and built to last.
Buttons: The six programmable buttons are a great feature. They are well-placed and responsive, making it easy to execute complex commands quickly. Customising them through the G HUB software has enhanced my gaming performance significantly.
Shape: The shape of the G203 is perfect for my hand. It’s comfortable to hold, even during long gaming sessions. The ergonomic design ensures that my hand doesn’t get fatigued, allowing for a more enjoyable gaming experience.
Overall Experience: The 8K DPI tracking and gaming-grade sensor provide exceptional precision and responsiveness. The customizable RGB lighting adds a personal touch, making it not only a high-performing mouse but also a stylish addition to my setup.
I got this on sale for 18 quid last year to replace my corsair harpoon that had failing left and right buttons and it’s still holding up very well. It is a little smaller than I’d like it to be and can be hard to find a comfortable hand position on, my hands aren’t even big so that’s not great. However it’s got a decent response time with good click on all buttons, led is good with good colours that aren’t too bright. Overall very good for the price just a bit too small.
Okay, the lights are a bit gaudy. Other than that, this mouse is really good! It’s comfy to hold, easy to use and has a very nice click. The DPI settings are good, even maintaining good accuracy at upwards of 16000 DPI (which is very impressive) and the build quality is very good too
Quality mouse with great and easy software. The glide is fantastic but the feet picks up dust and hair easily. Sensor is great and the RGB is perfect. Wire is very long
Got this for around 10 at the time and theres absolutley nothing as good as this for so cheap. The software is a bit strange, and the wires insulated with some weird rubber that likes to nag on stuff when tangled up, but couldnt really care because its worth it for the price
I was looking for a replacement mouse that would serve my light gaming and everyday uses—if you’re looking for a reliable mouse that elevates your computer experience without breaking the bank, the Logitech G203 LIGHTSYNC is your perfect match. Here’s why I give it a near-perfect 4.5 out of 5 stars:
Precision: The G203’s 8,000 DPI HERO sensor might be overkill for some casual games, but it guarantees smooth tracking and pinpoint accuracy. No more jittery cursor moments ruining your carefully timed jumps or pixel-perfect headshots. It’s a noticeable upgrade from most basic mice. (This, of course, is also a welcome feature when not gaming)
Lightweight: Weighing in at a measly 85 grams, the G203 feels feather-light in your hand. This makes it ideal for those slower-paced game strategy sessions, platforming adventures, or even intense writing and editing done by a student such as myself, where fatigue shouldn’t hold you back. Say goodbye to hand cramps for good!
Comfort: The ergonomic design fits snugly in most palm shapes, while the textured rubber grips prevent slips. It’s comfortable for extended use of any kind.
Customizable: Okay, let’s talk about the fun part — the RGB! 16.8 million colors and multiple lighting effects let you personalize your mouse to match your mood or game vibes. It might not be essential for casual play, but it adds a cool, immersive touch that’s hard to resist. The purple color and sleek design are also lovely touches, because functionality doesn’t mean it can’t be aesthetically pleasing!
Budget-Friendly Champion: This is where the G203 truly shines. It packs performance and features without the hefty price tag, making it a steal for casual gamers who don’t want to drain their wallets. You’re getting serious value for your money.
Minor Quirks: The G203’s full potential shines in fast-paced competitive games. For some casual genres, the 8,000 DPI might feel a bit over-sensitive, requiring some adjustment, and the six programmable buttons might go unused. Also, while the RGB is cool, you won’t need it when just browsing or working.
Final Verdict:
The Logitech G203 LIGHTSYNC is a fantastic choice for light gamers who want a precise, comfortable, and customizable mouse without breaking the bank. It packs a punch for its price and elevates your gaming experience with its smooth tracking and cool RGB flair. With minor adjustments, it’s an ideal companion for conquering casual worlds and building virtual empires. I give it a strong 4.5 out of 5 stars!
Happy gaming!
I wanted a secondary mouse for my laptop, mostly for general browsing and work purposes. I have a higher end Logitech mouse for games on my PC, and I thought it would be worth trying this mouse for general usage.
Once plugged in, I noticed that the build quality is very good, with a good clicking action and smooth movement. The RGB is smooth and not too distracting, to the point where I’ve had no intention to alter it so far.
Having switchable DPI is an especially nice feature, and I think this mouse really is one that’s difficult to beat at this price. Definitely consider this over and above a standard premium office mouse. I’d definitely buy again should the need arise.
For what is considered a cheap Logitech mouse, I can not fault this al all, I use it mainly for business proposes but the feel and the accuracy is very good.
This mouse is the best budget mouse I ever owned. It has lasted me 2 years and still is going. The side buttons feel so nice and the design of the mouse perfectly suits my hand. The RGB looks amazing and the scroll wheel feels fast. Overall 10/10 mouse, probably one of the best budget mouse ever made
The mouse comes with the Logitech G HUB software that allows you to customise the buttons three lights in the mouse. There are several default effects, including rainbow effects, an audiovisualiser, and an effect that samples the colour of your screen – and you can even programme your own. The LEDS have a wide range of colours and transition between colours smoothly – perfect for any vibe.
A good looking computer mouse with two additional buttons on the left side for your thumb, but not too many buttons to over complicate the mouse.
Very reactive without being too sensitive, you can use the centre button to change the mouse DPI, allowing you to customise the sensitivity to your liking.
The mouse is wired with a good length cable, much preferred to previous mice.
Full RGB connectivity, allowing you to match your colours with the rest of your computer set up if you have other colourful parts.
Fits well and comfortable in my hand, can use for long periods of time without discomfort.
The mouse itself is great and have had no issues with it, but the logitech ghub that you need to install in order to actually program the lights and buttons is probably the worst software I’ve ever seen in my life and it corrupted itself every time I installed it, so if that matters to you then good luck! But the default functions and lights are fine for me personally.
I have one for work – this one was brought for my son to replace his broken gaming mouse. Great styling, comfortable, love the colour cycle. The buttons are very responsive. The side back & forward buttons are useful and the sensitivity selector is great. I can reach 4 corners of a 27″ screen with finger-joint movements. Awesome mouse & great price.
Good build and quality mouse. For price this is fantastic product. Only downside is you can’t control or customise RGB but who cares, it’s had good RGB anyway. Big thumbs up .
Seems a good mouse but I said that about my Corsair which had problems after a year. Will update this review if any problems crop up. Been using for an evening and it feels comfortable with responsive clicks and nice movement. Only hope reliability of hardware is good as software has a bug with audio responsive lighting tends to stall once in a while.
I got this to game with on my Playstation. I wanted a gaming mouse, although any mouse would work, because the response times are usually way faster than a regular mouse, and the customisation of keys etc if often useful, although less so on a PS5 where you cannot assign macros etc or anything clever with the Logi software as obviously you can’t install in…
Basically, this things tracks well, is fast and responsive, clicks are short travel, suitable tactile and all the buttons fall in the right places.
You can customise a certain number of aspects to store in an on mouse memory, so some things you set on the PC via the software will carry over when you unplug it and plug it in elsewhere where the software isn’t installed, like a games console. Things like the DPI range (you can choose 4 steps of your own), or the illumination.
The LED thing is mainly a horrible gimmick and why companies thing gamers want the whole world lit up with rainbow flashing LEDs I do now know… But my gaming keyboard does have a blue backlight (more justifiably useful I guess), that I cannot change….and I was able to set the mouse to as close a colour as I could get and turn off all flashing and animation effects so that look the same, which was nice. One thing to note if the default sparkly flashing will display for around 10 seconds whenever you plug it in, before switching to your saved preset … but I didn’t realise this and went down a rabbit hole of wondering why it wasn’t;t saving the preset properly onto the mouse memory… I just needed to wait…
All in all, at the price I paid, this cost a little bit more that some of the no name brands, but seems like a great budget mouse with just enough gaming customisations to keep me happy.
Pros : Custom DPI settings ,can be added more or removed DPI clicks, very responsive
Cons: Mouse is on the small side, no weights ,no wire coating , must download app to customize .
I recommend downloading app from Logitech Support to customize onboard memory for your preferred settings instead of recommended app from LogitechG.com/GHUB !
1)Type in your browsers search bar : Logitech support.
2) Go to Logitech support+Download site and in the SITES search bar type Onboard Memory Manager and hit enter.
3) Select your operating system ( Windows 10 or Windows 11) by clicking that little down facing triangle on the left and download/save the app to your downloads .
This app do not need installation is very self explanatory and when you done setting up your mouse it can be closed and deleted , the mouse will remember your settings even if it’s unplugged from computer and Most importantly for me the annoying RGB lights can be turned off .
And the app from LogitechG.com/GHUB is just a bloatware that must run open , you close it the mouse will work on its Default onboard memory profile.
Great mouse to use, it is a nice small size so comfortable for people with smaller hands, its very lightweight and it is nice how you can download an app to connect your mouse to, which you can then change the DPI and LEDS.
I have had several gaming mice over the years, however I found, possibly as I have large hands that I would keep coming back to more simple mice as they were more comforatble to hold. I kind of have to use the mouse with my finger tips if that makes sense rather than holding it in my hand and a lot of gaming mice are sculpured to be used in the hand, so they dont fit properly for me.
This one feels really comfortable to me, I have even had to turn the sensitivity down as it was too fast on default, which is not really something I have had an issue with in the past. (you can change the speed/dpi on the fly with a button on the mouse).
It does have a couple of extra buttons that can be congifured to whatever you want, however agian possbily due to having large hands, I need to disable the button closer to the grip as I find I would press it by accident alot. I am sure with smaller/normal sized hands it is not an issue :p
It also has rgb that can be controlled too, which I found was a great plus, I assumed it would just do its own thing for the price.
While I got it in a sale, even at full price, knowing how good it is I would totally recommend this. They also do a wireless version, though as I game at my desk the wire is a non issue. (except the rare case when it gets caught on cups etc :p hehe
Second purchase of this mouse due to a lot of use.
Lasted 3 years consisting of gaming and general PC use. I’m not an FPS gamer so can’t comment on that but it’s definitely precise. Last one failed due to the cable connecting onto the mouse after dropping off the desk multiple times, I’m clumsy. Was going to get the wireless version but opted for wired again due to the low price, can’t beat it. I did notice it does get slightly tacky after I’d had the last one for 2 years due to the texture which does seem smooth get even smoother and shiny, Can’t complain though for the the main reason of being well priced for the quality. So 5 stars.
Bit of an overstatement but it’s perfect in the sense of ‘I bought this mouse about three years ago, and it looks, feels, acts, etc, how it did three years ago’. I does have RGB, it is a pretty cheap mouse, it’s connected to the Logitech’s GHub so you can customize it do many things but there’s one issue I have with it…
The GHub sucks. So, the mouse itself isn’t the problem, it’s just the GHub is very weird to navigate and the on-memory mode is weird to set-up and half the time I don’t think it even works… Also, for your mouse to be customized, GHub needs to be up and running on your PC so you need to set it to run on start up and then hide instead of closing.
But as for the mouse itself, it’s exactly what you asked for, and potentially even better. The only time I’ll ever buy a new mouse is if I damage this one, or I’m rich and I decide to just buy a 1,000 mouse because “why not”. I highly suggest buying this mouse.
Great mouse for gaming and also for working. It has lots of cool features such as changing the colour of the lights on the mouse to one colour or multiple and lots more which can all be done on a computer.
The only thing is that the box was a bit damaged when it arrived although no problem to the mouse itself.
Overall brilliant product and will definitely buy again but another colour.
I recently got my hands on a gaming mouse, and I must say, it’s been a pleasant experience. The build quality is excellent, giving me confidence in its durability. Plus, it looks amazing and adds a cool touch to my gaming setup.
One thing to note is that the clickers are quite sensitive, which might not suit everyone’s preferences. It’s important to consider your clicking style before making a decision.
Overall, if you’re in the market for a stylish gaming mouse with a solid build, this one is worth considering. Just be aware of its sensitive clickers and choose accordingly.
What can I say, this Logitech mouse is fantastic – so much so that I have just purchased it for the second time. It’s light, colourful, comfortable and fantastic value for money when it’s on sale. It also has two handy little buttons on the side which you can hotkey if you like to game, or even if you don’t!
I’m a keen gamer and graphic designer, so my mouse gets stress tested with daily use. It has a good length cable (not threaded/braided) and I’ve had no issues with the cable getting damaged or frayed.
Nothing negative to say about this mouse at all, apart from perhaps after a couple of years solid DAILY use it shows signs of wear (like any mouse would!). Only replaced my first one as the middle scrolly wheel got a bit stiff to click and noticed the left click had loosened up some – I’m sure these would have been repairable issues and I did begin to look into it, but was happy to treat myself to a new one considering how reasonable they are on sale and how much I love this mouse!
Works perfectly and I think I will always continue to buy this mouse 🙂
Actually, it’s pretty damn bricky.
It’s hard to place my meaty hands on it comfortably for a longer period of time. If you have normal sized hands this probably won’t affect you.
It’s also very smooth on higher sens(itivity, dpi) settings. Speaking of sens, it seems to not dislike having it’s sens normalized through software which is a first for me as it’s always been a struggle for me to translate my sens from one fps to annother.
Despite not being the most comfortable thing to hold it works well and I can’t say if I wouldn’t love it if my hands were a bit narrower.
The cord is not braided and this will probably be the death of my specific mice one day as I move mine around a lot rather than keeping it mostly stationary. It makes this mouse cheaper, but it also means it won’t last as long as the other logitech mice which are braided/wireless.
Ok for everyday use. Pretty good for playing games where a decent sensor matters, especially if you like it when your mice isn’t weightless in your grasp.
It’s so-so(Not that great) if you have juicy, full hands like mine. I would recommend a taller mice if you do.
What’s with the flesh adjectives in this review… it’s about a mechanical device. Hail the Omnissiah brother.
For the price, this is definitely one of, if not the best mouse you can get on the market right now. Other mice that are around this price point or a few pounds cheaper don’t even come close to this mouse in my opinion, although it’s not entirely perfect if you want to be picky.
Firstly, the size and comfort of this mouse is great. The size of the mouse is not too large, but it’s not too small for someone with quite large hands. It’s easy to hold and use for extended periods of time when using it for casual use, or for gaming. I really like the matte finish all over the mouse as there is no sticky/non smooth feeling anywhere on the mouse which feels miles better to be than having gloss on a mouse.
Also, the main buttons don’t feel cheap as they have a nice click to them and have not malfunctioned once for me. The mouse wheel also feels better than other mice I have used as it’s not to flimsy feeling and it does have a little bit of resistance which is comfortable when scrolling down web pages etc. Moreover, the fact that the cable is a standard thin/lightweight plastic cable is something that I like over the more premium looking braided cables. This is because the braided cables add more weight, and can sometimes snag on certain types of mouse mats which doesn’t happen here. The side buttons also work well, and importantly they never get in the way or pressed by accident.
While there are plenty or RGB options available to use within the Logitech G HUB software, I am not a big fan that you have to download the software and have it running constantly, especially when it’s used in order to deactivate the RGB as I prefer to have it turned off, and to set the DPI. Another small con would be that the middle programmable button is slightly raised and I have accidentally changed my DPI in the middle of gaming, though I suppose you could deactivate the button to do nothing if this is a problem.
Overall, this is a really great and feature-rich mouse for the price, so you can’t go wrong here.
Works as intended, is well built and performs well in games.
Mouse is a bit big. If I hold the thing with my usual crab style I find that my fingertips are about half way down the buttons and I constantly have to adjust my palm position to use the wheel properly. Using my whole hand flush against the mouse helps a bit with this but in doing so I lose some fine adjustment. So if you don’t have Mickey Mouse sized hands the size of the mouse may be something to watch out for. However because the mouse is so precise I’m going to bear with it and attempt to adjust, either that or just keep it as a backup.
The leds are nice enough I suppose and if you download the software from Logi (Be sure to turn off all the rubbish services this program turns on during install), you can configure colour and speed. Going to be honest and say that this aspect of the mouse was not a selling point for me so I’m not particularly impressed with this feature. I mean once you actually use the mouse your hand covers the lights anyway so what’s the point? But hey, if led is your thing then rest assured the mouse is nice to look at in the dark.
So yeah, apart from the size I’m quite happy with the mouse and as said above it’s very precise for gaming. Worth a punt.
