Love this mouse. Lightweight but works really well. For me the only downside is that connectivity can be a little sketchy once in a while but overall really good for the price point.

This is a great quality mouse with zero lag or latency using it wireless being a keyboard and mouse player the precision on this mouse is top tier it’s comfortable to hold and the logictech software had decent options for macros etc overall I’m impressed with it and would recommend to anyone who wasn’t sure about going wireless

The side buttons are very easy to press accidently. The software does not seem to be very good or easy to use. It is very annoying that the dongle is not compatible with other logitech devices and it seems that are several types of dongle none of which appear to work with each other.
The mouse is actually very good in operation but is let down by the aforementioned.

Accurate tracking, nice to hold in the hand and very light. As my wife is left-handed, an ambidextrous mouse was an important factor and this has met her approval! Can’t really say more than that. Highly recommended.

I had been using the Logitech G203 for over 5 years and was quite happy with it so decided to buy the wireless version (G305). Although I had the issue of a loose battery door at first, the replacement is working perfectly. I recommend using an AAA battery (Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAA seems to work best from what I read online) with an adapter to make the mouse lighter.

It is durable. The wireless function of this mouse is great. I have had no issues with his hardware, software, or even the mouse and delivery itself.
Great product and I recommend it to anyone who needs a wireless mouse, who wants no hassle and a great user experience!

This mouse is good for its price. The battery cover is easy to remover, sits well against the palm and is easy to manoeuvre.

The thing that prevents me from giving 5 stars is the placement of the side buttons, as for anyone who does not have giant hands it can be annoying to press. Just makes it so you have to change your grip, which can mess up precise mouse movements.

Also, the dpi button can be pressed accidentally pretty easily. Unless you are being gentle, when you scroll down, 6/10 times you will hit it.

    Overall a great product however.

I’ve bought 2 of these over the last 3 years.

I can say that although I’m a messy person who , drops stuff, spills drinks, etc. Quite often , and I didn’t clean the mouse nearly as much as I should have it performed amazingly for over 2 years. It only finally stopped working, despite all the wear and tear, due to an internal issue. That ironically resolved itself entirely by the time my second one arrived. Granted the contrast in performance between the new and heavily used one was stark.

Don’t regret buying a second one though, I’d say even if you’re looking after these far than I am 2-3 years is probably the realistic lifespan of these mice.

Performs amazingly though, ove rarely had issues with anything and feels extremely smooth and precise compared to other mice I’ve used. Would recommend using on a mouse pad, but it’s nowhere near a requirement.

With a sleek and functional look that doesn’t scream tryhard unlike other mice at a similar price point, I really think this is the best mouse on the market for people who want a conventional wireless mouse they can use in any situation.

I owned this mouse for nearly a couple of years and it has been brilliant. The battery last a very long time, several months.

They mouse has started failing recently, the left key now works only as a double click.

I bought this mouse on the 1st of March with a pack of 4 AA batteries. The mouse takes just one of them.
As of today, the 10th of August, the low-battery LED on the mouse has finally shone red. 3 batteries left.

Great mouse, especially for the price. The DPI is highly customisable in the Logitech G hub that can be downloaded. The DPI range is 200-12000 and by default the mouse stores 4 DPI settings. The battery lasts a really long time too, it’s been over 3 months of everyday (6hr+) use and the battery is only starting to run low now. Couldn’t recommend any more.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe Logitech G305 wireless mouse has left me thoroughly impressed with its unbeatable performance and incredible value. At its price point, it’s simply a game-changer!

First and foremost, the lack of input delay is insane. No different to a wired gaming mouse. The responsiveness is lightning-fast, and I never experienced any delay during intense gaming sessions or daily tasks.

Moreover, the G305’s accuracy is outstanding. The high-quality optical sensor ensures smooth tracking and pinpoint precision, making every movement on the screen feel natural and seamless. It’s a pleasure to use, especially for tasks that require precision and accuracy.

On top of its top-notch performance, the G305’s design perfectly complements its functionality. The ergonomic shape fits my hand like a glove, ensuring a comfortable grip even during prolonged use. The mouse is lightweight and glides effortlessly, reducing strain on my wrist during extended gaming sessions.

The wireless connectivity is another highlight. Logitech’s Lightspeed technology delivers a stable and reliable connection, so I never have to worry about signal drops or interference. The battery life is exceptional as well, providing hours of usage before needing a recharge, which is incredibly convenient for gamers and heavy computer users.

In conclusion, the Logitech G305 wireless mouse is a phenomenal device that delivers unparalleled performance at an unbeatable price. Its lag-free experience, precise tracking, and comfortable design make it a true joy to use for both work and play. If you’re in need of a wireless mouse that won’t break the bank while offering exceptional performance, look no further than the Logitech G305. It’s an easy 5 out of 5 stars from me!

The G305 is an excellent mouse, no ifs no buts, this is the second one I’ve owned and I cannot see me using a different mouse after this.

Battery usage is incredible, I game a lot and I only ever seem to have to change the batteries 2 or 3 times a year at most.

Mouse feels premium in the hand, the build quality is exceptional and the click of the buttons feel fantastic. This includes the side buttons and scroll wheel.

The price can seem daunting but my first purchase of a G305 was a used returned item from Amazon that I used for over 2 years, it’s still in perfect working condition today. I felt that this time around I knew it was worth the money as I could easily see myself using this mouse for 4 years. Making the price negligible.

I can’t think of a single downside to this mouse other than the fact that after 2 years of my use (even longer with the previous owners use included) the logitech logo which sits under the palm started to fade. Which is of course an aesthetic which I don’t really see as a negative but I’ll let you make your own judgement on that.

whether you are looking for a mouse for general work or gaming this is the one to purchase. The battery life is amazing, constant connection with no lag! The mouse is on the heavier side so if you are looking for a light weight mouse id recommend the big brother Logitech super light. Overall the mouse is great even more so with the adjustable DPI settings which makes the mouse easy to use in small spaces.

This product is great value for money. Battery life is top notch, lasting at least a month with decent batteries. The only issue I have ran into is the scroll wheel acting up and sometimes scrolling in the wrong direction. Recommended.

I decided to get this mouse as a carry-around with my laptop. Usually, I run with a Razer Basilisk Pro, but this was an easy transition and really easy for portability. The mouse has a nice compartment that stores the USB dongle and the single AA battery required for power.
The only drawback I have experienced is the fact that the mouse is powered by an AA battery. This could be problematic if you dont have any AA batteries to hand when it runs out.
Otherwise, the saving compared to the more expensive model makes this a very solid choice.

After many years of using Logitech mice I strayed into buying an unbranded gaming mouse from China which initially was excellent but proved to be less than adequate in its quality.
I did not want to spend 100 on a high end gaming mouse and spent quite some time working out what was important to me in a mouse.
I decided that build quality, longevity and accuracy were what I wanted. This meant that extra buttons, flashing lights and any other glitzy bits would no sway me.
The G305 Lightspeed answered all the questions I asked and was very well priced and was high on my list.
When I saw that the price had dropped I didn’t hesitate and ordered one.
Quite simply it’s the best mouse I’ve ever owned. It has the same high end equipment inside as the best Logitech mice but in a simple, unfussy, package.
It get’s a full 10/10 from me and the difference in the mouses quality has been evident when using it for gaming, surfing and working.
I was lucky enough to get mine for 30 but I wouldn’t really hesitate to buy again for more than that. Anything under about 45 would be a good price right now.
If you want quality features without the bells and whistles then look no further.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been using the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse for a few months now, and I must say it has completely transformed my gaming experience. This mouse is a game-changer in terms of performance and reliability. Allow me to share my thoughts on why I highly recommend it.

First and foremost, the G305 LIGHTSPEED offers impeccable precision and responsiveness. The HERO optical sensor integrated into this mouse is simply outstanding. It delivers accurate tracking and smooth cursor movement, allowing me to make precise maneuvers and quick flick shots in games. Whether I’m playing first-person shooters or engaging in intense multiplayer battles, the G305 never fails to keep up with my actions.

Compared to similar gaming mice I’ve used in the past, the G305 LIGHTSPEED stands out for its wireless capabilities. The LIGHTSPEED wireless technology ensures a lag-free and ultra-fast connection, providing a seamless experience without any disruptions. I’ve had no issues with latency or dropped signals, even during intense gaming sessions. The freedom of wireless connectivity combined with the performance of a wired mouse is truly remarkable.

One feature that pleasantly surprised me was the battery life of the G305. Logitech claims that it can last up to nine months on a single AA battery, and so far I can confidently say that it lives up to that claim. I’ve been using the mouse extensively, and the battery has lasted me since I first placed it in. This is a significant advantage over other wireless gaming mice I’ve used, where frequent recharging or swapping batteries was necessary.

The compact and ergonomic design of the G305 is another aspect worth mentioning. It fits very well in my hand, providing a comfortable grip even during long gaming sessions. The buttons are well-placed and offer a satisfying click response. The lightweight nature of the mouse also contributes to its overall maneuverability and ease of use. It’s a true joy to navigate through games with this mouse in hand.

In terms of durability, the G305 LIGHTSPEED impresses. The build quality is solid, and the mouse feels sturdy and reliable. I’ve put it through its paces with rapid movements and intense gaming sessions, and it has held up exceptionally well. Logitech’s reputation for quality and durability is evident in this product.

In conclusion, the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse is a remarkable choice for gamers seeking a reliable, precise, and wireless gaming mouse. Its exceptional performance, extended battery life, ergonomic design, and durability make it stand out among its competitors. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed using this mouse, and it has undoubtedly enhanced my gaming experience. If you’re looking for a wireless gaming mouse that delivers on every front, the G305 LIGHTSPEED won’t disappoint.

2021-10-02: Despite the design being over 3 years old, this wireless Logitech mouse is still the best replacement I could find for my decade old trusty Logitech G9x. Which I used without either grip; despite having only slightly smaller than average 18x9cm hands, I need a low profile, narrow, symmetric mouse to avoid hand/wrist pain(s).

At 40mm, the Razer Orochi was just too rounded for my hand. Its off-putting sensor position felt odd, too. And like the Viper Mini and Deathadder minis I tried, *all* the Razer mice had QC issues with uneven feet, or base moulding, that made them wobble a little on hard surfaces.

This G305 is rock solid, but still *slightly* too tall with the cover on. So I’ve simply been playing without it! The compartment is rounded and my palm doesn’t really touch the edges of the slot. This isn’t quite perfect; I’d prefer a couple of mm more at the back, still, for a touch of extra stability. Just not the hollow dome at the top. But my hands are picky; I can see why this mouse is reviewed as suitable for any grip style and hand size.

Removing the cover sheds 8g of weight. Also, jamming a highly compacted little cylinder of kitchen foil in the back of the battery slot allows easy and stable use of a standard AAA battery, too. Further reducing the weight by another 12g, half of an AA battery. Lithiums even lighter (~4g off the AAA).

The G305 doesn’t glide perfectly smoothly, but it’s fine on my Logitech cloth mouse surface and it’s easy to buy 3rd party replacement feet if desired. Buttons and wheel are all pretty good. Sensor and lightspeed wireless connection are suppose to be the same as on the (first) G Pro wireless. So I have effectively have a G Pro for half the price, with the easy modification matching the weight too.

The software works OK, provided I just use the old “Logitech Gaming Software”. Not the new G Hub, which has an appallingly convoluted menu layout and just plain would not work for simple profile switching and changing buttons for me. In the old software, it seems like G Shift functionality is there (surprisingly). But it won’t let me unassign LMB or RMB altogether in shift mode. So it’s kind of pointless, as one loses the shift button’s use as well, leaving only 3 other buttons that can be modified (including the DPI switch).

5.0 out of 5 stars 78g G305 beats Orochi V2 for build quality, comfort and aim at 1/2 price!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThere’s plenty to like about the G305, and most people who should be thinking of purchasing it already know what it offers: Logitech’s in-house Hero sensor; a long battery life due to both the Hero sensor’s low power draw and the higher-capacity removable batteries the G305 uses; and the general shape. Anybody familiar with the Logitech G203 or the G Pro mouse will already know whether they will enjoy this mouse, as the G305 is essentially a wireless remake of those two mouses (minus the RGB lighting, and a slightly different button below the scroll wheel, in addition to the buttons having slightly different switches).

However – despite offering a great sensor and a familiar shape many enjoy – the G305 is not perfect. Logitech’s Hero sensor, while great, is not the PWM3366 sensor, the top-of-the-line, inarguably best sensor on the market, which is found in Logitech’s most high-end mouses, such as the G900 and G903, the G403 (both wired and wireless), and the G502. Due to the differing sensors, the feeling and DPI has to be adjusted when going (for example, from the wireless G403 to the G305 in my case) from one mouse to the other, though tracking overall is perfect with both.

The great first impression (barring a difference in feeling that can be overcome with some tinkering with settings) from the G305, however, can be deceiving. A few days after getting the G305, I suffered an odd occurrence, wherein the mouse cursor – while playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – would start wobbling in the centre of the screen any time the mouse was lifted off the mouse pad. Additionally, for the few hours preceding this, the G305 would sometimes randomly spin out while I was aiming around with it. Surprisingly, however, taking out the battery and re-connecting the wireless receiver has fixed this issue for me, and since that day a few weeks ago, I have not suffered from spin-outs or any cursor wobbling. Due to the unreplicable (and thus far unrepeated) nature of the incident, I am not sure what to blame – or if it is even fair to deduct points for this – but it is something to keep in mind. Similar products that I have used before the G305 – which include the wireless G403, the G900 and the G502 (which are all mouses that use the PWM3366 sensor) – have never suffered from spin-outs even once, though this might have just been my luck.

The scroll wheel has been great in my experience, and has a nice, squared shape, as opposed to the round scroll wheels that some mouses have. The wheel also has a pretty rough surface, with big, bold lines cut into the rubber to give it a nice, grippy feel. The only thing really missing from the scroll wheel is Logitech’s hyper-scrolling mode, which would have been a nice addition to have.

The software experience on the G305 is par for the course for a Logitech mouse. Customization is done through Logitech’s Gaming Software program, which includes a Hi and Lo performance mode (going from 250 hours of usage up to months of usage without having to switch batteries), five different DPI level profiles that can be set, polling rate, custom binds for all of the buttons, the ability to switch between on-board memory and Automatic Game Detection, and various other functions that Logitech provides (including a heat map, binding keystrokes etc.). The experience, however, is not perfect. Other Logitech mouses (that use the PWM3366) give the user some extra features that are missing from the G305, most notably the ability to switch between “profiles”, which let a user switch between modes where each “mode” has completely different bindings for all the buttons. On the G305, the only similar feature is limited to switching DPI levels.

All in all, the G305 has presented some weird, infrequent issues that anybody might run into, but when it works, it works amazingly. For somebody looking for a light-weight (below 90g) wireless mouse that’s on par with wired mouses, there really is no other option on the market right now, without having to do hardware modding (which carries with it its own risks and extra effort), as other wireless mouses are either heavy or have imperfect wireless technology (though I want to stress this is not the case with Logitech’s wireless mouses).

The only reasons not to get the G305 would perhaps include the fact that it is a small mouse with a very small hump, and anybody with big hands and/or a grip that isn’t well-suited to small mice (such as a palm grip) might feel cramped with the G305. In addition, the mouse has kind of a lacklustre selection of buttons, with only the standard left and right clicks, a scroll wheel (which is clickable), a button below the scroll wheel, and two side buttons. Whether this is an issue is up to the individual user, but it is mostly meant to be used as a cursor moving device, not to double as a media controller. For anybody who desires a similar product with more options in regards to buttons, the Logitech G900 or the G903 might be more suitable.

All in all, the G305 is terrific value. It is one of the cheapest ways to go wireless, with a sensor and wireless technology that will not make you miss wired mouses. Couple this with a great battery life that will take a minimum of weeks before it even bothers you about the battery getting low, and Logitech have a real winner on their hands. Fans of the G Pro should instantly jump on this with no regrets, and everybody else really only needs to make sure they like the shape, as everything else Logitech has packaged into this mouse is borderline perfect, as far as its function as a wireless mouse is concerned.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another great wireless mouse from Logitech that will turn anyone still mired by the wireless stigma
