The brown switches ended up double registering after about a year of light use. Not sure how even though I didn’t press the keys too hard either. Was a good keyboard to get into the mechanical keyboard realm.

I spend a lot of time using a keyboard so I’m very fussy about them. I saw this one reduced so I decided to try it. I was previously using a good mechanical keyboard that used Cherry switches, which I was happy with, so I bought this one with one eye on returning it. I’m keeping it. The appeal of this keyboard was the dedicated media keys (especially the volume roller) and the macro (G1-G9) keys that I could program. They’re great.

The keyboard is sturdy with a re-assuring weight to it. It’s not huge, as some people have commented. It’s only slightly bigger than the one it replaced so it won’t consume too much desk space. They key action is great. Not quite as clicky (or noisy) as my Cherry keys but still satisfying clicky and has a very obvious mechanical feel. I’ve heard others say it has a membrane feel to it. It doesn’t.

The keyboard really has everything you’d want from a keyboard. Nice keys, great feel, great lighting, lots of dedicated keys, comfortable to use. There are 27 macro keys (9 unique ones that you can customise in three ways) so you can program all of your common keystrokes and phrases. Recording macros is very easy. It’s a real time saver. There’s a quality feel to every key that I can’t put into words but you’ll know it when you feel it.

I’m a casual gamer. The RGB is nice and, as others have noted, very bright, much brighter than my old keyboard. The gaming keys (WASD) are clearly highlighted. The macro (G) keys will be great for gaming (I’ve not tried them yet).

The Arx Dock Release doesn’t do much but at least it’s somewhere to put your phone while you work/play. I’ll use it in spite of it being nothing more than a phone holder.

Overall, I’m delighted with this keyboard. I genuinely bought it with the possibility of returning it but it’s a keeper. Would I pay 160 for it? No — although I was keeping my eye on a similar Corsair (RGB Pro) one for around that price (it also has the media keys that I wanted). But if it’s on sale for 100 or less I’d 100% recommend it. Even if you have a good keyboard, this is better.

My second unit, very capable keyboard.

My existing one started to double keyy or fail to provide a letter after 5 years of use, there are replacement keys available, but a new one was just a bit more in the Amazon sale.

The keys are removable to clean the diust out, which I did and even applied some razor oil, which did help, but will attract dust too.

I like he programmable function keys, I use them daily

The efeccts are really aimed at tennages and quiet useless.

BUT you can program the key colours and keep them static, which is ideal and why I like it, so often used keys like F5 refresh are Green and the programable keys are Red and so is the enter, tab and space keys, the rest being blue.

It looks good and makes fast identification very much easier.

Being wired, it is much more responsive than the delay with wireless, I will stick with wired keyboards and a wireless ergonomic Logitech mouse.

This is my first mechanical keyboard, just upgraded from a corsair membrane board. The difference is night and day, the tactile response has improved my typing accuracy significantly. The RBGs on the board are very nice, you can change the colour of individual keys, if that’s your thing, and some games, (i.e. Battlefield V) can directly control the colour of the keys, which is actually pretty useful. The board grips pretty well compared to other boards I have used, my corsair would slide all over the place. The construction, while the plastic is kind of cheap, is very solidly built, and has a bit of weight to it. I have seen lots of complaints about the G hub software, and while I have had trouble with the software in the past, presently I have no issues.

I was deciding to go for the Corsair K70 RGB vs this one and after buying and using the G910, I can say that the experience of using it for general typing and gaming is amazing, not to mention, its cheaper too 🙂

The Romer G switches have low actuation force and require little travel for key detection. This reduces RSI in the hands and wrist which is perfect for me and those who get RSI often. The keys also have a good amount of tactile feedback when they are pressed. The wrist rest is ok but would prefer a softer material.

The RGB is really nice especially in the dark. There is no light bleed which means the light only comes through the key and not underneath it. IMO this reduces distraction and creates a cleaner look. Each key can have its own colour and brightness and a custom profile can be made for any game you want provided you use Logitech’s software.

The keyboard also has 9 macro keys which is something you may not find on other keyboards considering this price point. Plus it has 3 macro profiles and each key can be recorded if you wish. Personally I don’t use the macro keys. It’s pretty much a bonus.

The keyboard itself is well built despite having full plastic construction. There is minimal flex so shouldn’t affect heavy users and has a fair amount of weight to it. I would prefer a braided cable instead of a standard rubber one but its not a deal breaker. Overall, this keyboard is great for typing on and for gaming on.

I’ve actually had this keyboard for quite a few years now but I ended up spilling cider all over my old one, though surprisingly I only lost a few keys functionality, unfortunately dead keys are not great on a keyboard no matter how many, so I just bought another one of these because it’s just that perfect of a keyboard.

This keyboard is a pleasure to use, it’s got nice crisp mechanical keys which have lots of feedback but are not as “crunchy” as other mechanical keys, for lack of a better term. It’s great for both gaming and just typing in general, with a nice amount of macro keys if you’re into that, truth be told I’ve never used any of them myself but they work just fine.

The brightness on the back lighting for this keyboard is also amazing and with Logitech’s software you can make some really nice lighting schemes even if the software itself is a little bit clunky at the moment, hopefully they work on that.

This keyboard also has lots of nice little things, such as a windows key lock (can also be configured to lock other buttons), a button to turn the lighting on and off, media control keys and a really nice volume slider which is just a little roller but it’s so much nicer, more precise and tactile than volume up and down buttons. Furthermore this keyboard is nice and heavy, which is actually a big plus as it means it doesn’t move around too much while you’re using it especially in more intense gaming situations.

Build quality-wise this keyboard is top-notch, it’s got a lovely matte almost soft feel to the keys and the plastic, and although it is mostly plastic it doesn’t feel cheap by any means, it also just looks really nice especially with a good lighting scheme set up.

All in all, this is an expensive keyboard, and Logitech do a number of more stripped-down versions of it which I’m sure are just as good for their price-range, but if you want a good, solid and good-looking keyboard and you’re willing to spend a bit of money to get one then I can’t think of any better to recommend personally.

First thing you notice is the weight, this thing feels sturdy before you get it out of the box.
Once unpacked an on the desk, it’s not going anywhere without being deliberately moved (Unless you’re a really angry aggressive keyboard abusing gamer).
The keys are easy to depress, responsive and give the satisfying click of the mechanical switches.
RGB adds to the look but also the functionality. You can assign a different colour to each key if you really want to, or use one of the downloadable profiles that have been created for various games and applications already.
Profiles can be set to automatically change when a specific game or application is active which can be really handy in highlighting frequently used keys (WSAD in FPS games for example).
It also has some other effects out of the box, like colour cycle, screen sample (which will try to match the key colours to the colours on the screen) and Audio Visualizer (which basically turns the keyboard into a graphic equalizer).

I like the feel of the keyboard and the functionality is excellent. But I am docking one star because of the ridiculous wrist rest. It is a cheap plastic thing that is not adjustable. This wouldn’t matter if it were completely detachable, so that I could use my own wrist rest with it, but it isn’t. There is a an entirely pointless piece of plastic framework sticking out at the front that prevents the user from placing their own wrist rest next to the keyboard. I have had to resort to taking a hacksaw to this in order to remove it. Logitech, if you read this, please pass this on to your design team. A keyboard should either A – have no wrist rest at all (this would be my preference), or B – if you feel you must include a wrist rest, make sure it is detachable.

Great keyboard.

I had to replace my old keyboard (also Logitech G600 or something like that) as I just wanted to.
I was testing Corsair K95 RGB LED, (Cherry Brown MX) unfortunately LEDs start failing after just 3 days ! (I loved the sound of key hitting aluminium bottom, loved huge amount of programmable keys, lighting, hated failing LEDs and awful software that was constantly freezing (tested on 2 laptops and 1 workstation (Win 7 / Win 10)).

This keyboard maybe doesn’t offer a same feeling as superb Corsair K95, but it is much nicer than other membrane keyboard, offers good quality lights (not so bright as on K95 and not so many cool effects like on K95), has nice keys but what is the most important, the software is pretty much rock solid from all programmable keyboards (Logi is semi programmable as you can only program few programmable keyboards, most of their competitors can program and re-map all keys).

Maybe once or twice a week I have to reset the Logitech software (I am working as software engineer so often leave workstation in sleep, most likely you wouldn’t have the issues with the software once-twice a week if you would shutdown your PC), but pretty much I can work with it without a trouble (K95 had a constant issues and had to fight sometimes few times a day. When you’ll working on software your time is too valuable to spend 10-15 minutes on software issues with your keyboard as you’ll loose way more money than keyboard is worth in just few days).

So if you are making money on your PC and you cannot afford to loose your money (time) on fighting with driver/software, need a good quality semi-mechanical keyboard, then this one will be perfect for you.

Exceptional keyboard. I have never had a mechanical keyboard before, so this is my first time using one. I have to admit that it needed a bit of getting used to, as I game a lot and had to adjust to the feel of this keyboard.
However, the key strokes are not as loud as some other mechanical keyboards (I’ve seen a few my friends own) but the keys feel sturdy and easy to use.
My only small nag is about the side programmable keys, G1 to G5. They are preset to some commands, for example I have touched a few by mistake (I have large hands) and it refreshed my internet page, went back, and also jumped out of my game.
Again, this can be easily fixed by disabling these keys (I usually don’t use shortcut keys a lot).
The RGB keys are truly awesome, and the keyboard is beutiful. Even the G910 logo in the palm rest changes colour!
All in all, absolutely fantastic piece of kit, and I ahve always been a fan of Logitech, as I owned a few other mouse and keyboards from them over the years (Had my current G700 mouse for over 4 years now, still working like a charm) and I’m sure they are a trusted brand with quality equipments.
P.S: I probably will never use the docking station on the keyboard for my phone, as I pretty much don’t care for it.

The Logitech G910 Orion Spectrum RGB Mechanical Keyboard is a seriously swanky top-of-the-range customisable keyboard for the dedicated gamer. Ergonomically it’s fantastic if you’re spending a long time on it – the wrist rest is exactly right for me – and it is well balanced for on-knee use! The keys are easy to press – it’s great for long typing jobs, not just gaming, although being mechanical (each key has a spring under it) it is quite noisy once you get typing fast – and very responsive as you would expect from such a premium model.

While I find it rather blinding, the keyboard has a feature in which it lights it really beautifully, with a range of 16 million colours, apparently! This is customisable via the Logitech Gaming Software downloadable from the Logitech website, with additional features available on a compatible smartphone or tablet via something called ‘ARX control’. There is a pull-out dock on the back of the keyboard to hold said device if you are using it as a second screen during a game. I haven’t been able to test this as my equipment is unfortunately incompatible. The keyboard comes with a 6ft USB cable, so is long enough for most situations.

The keyboard itself is plug and play with systems from Windows Vista up, and the control software will also function with Vista upwards, despite the product page on the Logitech website saying Windows 7,8 and 10 only.

Using the Gaming Software, one can program the keyboard with 27 custom functions for MMORPGs etc, and there are media controls on the right hand side of the keyboard, including a useful roller bar for volume up/down. There is also an on/off button for the lighting effects, which is a mercy, as they’re beautiful but gosh they’re bright! Very useful for using the control software to make individual keys light up so you can find them quickly during a game, of course, it’s less of a shock to the retina if there are only a few keys illuminated at once.

Clearly a luxury product, but well worth it for the serious gamer. I have attached a video of the disco light effect you get when you first turn it on, just to show the brightness and range of colours. The dog is not included.
