Excellent Headphones, the only issue is the On/Off switch, I have 2 of these headsets now, and both switches failed, they are still useable just have fiddle with the switch or leave them switched on, but the sound quality is awesome.
So I had a pair of Alienware AW920H and though they aren’t a bad set of headphones initially – they ended up being the worst set of headphones for the money I have ever bought. They are a nightmare when the battery runs out, a nightmare for dropping connection and a nightmare for design as the headphones sockets worked loose of the headband – I had to argue with Alienware to get a warranty replacement and will never buy anything from them again. You also cannot leave a review on Alienware website if you have had a poor experience.
I bought these as they were less than half the price and seemed to have very similar features – apart from active noise cancelling.
The arrived and are very comfortable, the headphone pods have a nice 105 degree rotation to fit most heads. The sound quality is very good for the price-point, they are easy to connect, easy to charge and easy to use.
I already had the g-hub software for my keyboard so integration was very easy. All-in-all a great set of headphones. When the battery runs out you can use them wired whilst charging so there are no issues there either.
Downside – I have had the power button issue that a fair amount of people have had. I had to tap or wiggle the power button to get audio from both channels.
I reported it to Logitech and they replaced the headphones on warranty without a quibble. This has been my complete experience with Logitech so far – they back their products with amazing support and is why I keep going back to them.
I would say a fair price is between 80-100. I had my old set before replacement for approximately 20 months and bearing this in mind they do represent really good value for money for a wireless headset.
Whether you buy this set or not – DO NOT touch the Alienware headset – for what is sold as a premium item, it is appalling. This item is miles better in comparison.
Alright, software and max volume let it down a little
Overall good sound quality and the mic is good. Every now and again the Bluetooth has a wobbler and needs resetting.
An all round excellent product as is always the case from Logitech. The sound is rich and full, the mic (once I found it) is clear and it’s comfortable to wear even with glasses. Illuminated stripes can be switched on or off and the mic mutes when folded up. Battery life seems to be about 5 hours if in continuous use.
Gifted this to my significant other for a Christmas gift.
It is wireless, has the USB and charger. Feels comfortable, of course I have used them myself too.
A good quality of gaming headphones!
First purchased these headphones in 2019 while looking for my first wireless gaming headset after good reviews on YouTube. Continued to use it for three years until it got a little knackered – the power button became a little weak causing the sound to struggle to come out of the right ear (though after a bit of wiggling would come out of both) and the faux leather material started to disintegrate.
In 2022 I started looking for an upgrade for my aging headphones. I tried out Steel Series Arctis 9s and Hypercloud Wireless Alpha. Both (much more pricey) had promise but lack of comfort, lots of software bugs and poor sound brought me back to these to buy a fresh pair.
What a decision – great sound, super comfortable and a mic that does what I need (bit of chat in game but nothing flashy). The EQ on the logitech software is also a nice touch if you want to tweak with the sound. Highly recommend these headphones after three plus years of use. (Bought this set for 90 pounds which compared to 110+ for the other newer “high-end” headsets, this is a steal).
I didn’t give 5 stars because there is always room for improvement, for example the side magnetic attachment can be slightly stronger.
I mean, I used to go with corsair headsets, and they’d die on me rather quickly, either with input issues, or battery life issues. Logitech is the opposite, I mean after a year or so the battery is a little quick to wear out, but I also use it way more than a person should! So, I mean every product has a shelf life. As they need to be designed to.
This product however, makes up for the amount you pay for it, with genuine sound quality, comfort (which lets face it, is what we actually need), longevity, and to be fair, genuine sturdiness. I have an ill sister that is prone to violent attacks, she’s pulled and tried to snap this headset in her attacks, and even then they’ve survived.
So, go logitech!
It’s nice to be wireless again no more restrictions on where I move my head to. Great headset easy to charge, great sound quality I have always had Logitech headsets and I have finally gone back to wireless.
The volume on this headset carriest the 4/5star review. The microphone is shocking for the price and definitely can get better microphones for voice however the sound quality is top tier and worth the money so really depends what your after, if you want sound and already have a mic on a stand like the blueyeti then get it but if your planning to use it to talk I’d reconsider.
Let me set out my stall, and say I’m a Logitech fanboy. I’ve had their headsets, keyboards and mice for years.
With that in mind, the G935 is hard to recommend at full price, it is certainly not a 160 headset. It’s not even a 100 headset. If you can catch it like I did, and get it for 80, then it’s a good price
Sound quality is great, bass is a little bit boosted, but these are “Gamer” headsets, so that’s expected, and can be tamed in the G Hub software.
Mic is…. well, it’s there… It’s fine for general trash talking if you’re only gaming, but it’s no good for other applications beyond that, even a cheap USB mic outperforms it for streaming and recording purposes, and a good mic blows it out of the water and clear over the mountains.
Battery life is OK-ish, with some tweaks. First thing to do is to bin off the RGB entirely. You don’t need it, you’re not going to see it, and by turning it off, you immediately increase battery life by almost 100% (see top right of images, this is just changing it from Fixed to Off for the lighting), which brings the battery life into good for a longer session of gaming.
It comes with those plant leather “premium” earpads. Bin them off immediately, they’ll make your ears sweat, and go all brittle after a month or so anyway (mine were actually brittle out of the box!). Get some 3rd party mesh fabric ones, and they’re good to go.
Other than that, unless you’re looking specifically for wireless, you can actually use the G635, which are identical to these in every way, EXCEPT for them not being wireless.
One of the most comfortable and well performing headsets I’ve owned over the last decade, which is a rather long list if I’m honest. Also, at around 100-ish at the time of purchase, putting in the low-mid price range. Its out performing the clearly over priced “high end” specialised ones. The Customizable audio profiles are excellent, can tweak the EQs till your perfectly satisfied. Back of the left ear buttons can be macro’d too which is perfect for me personally, or you can choose from a pretty decent list of pre defined actions. Most users will be fine with those I feel.
Build quality really is great, very comfortable feeling ear cups even if your working 12+ ,hours. Absolutely zero fatigue. Sound quality of the mic is crystal clear, audio quality and noise cancellation is superb ( pre customizations ) perfect after tweaks. Quality sound over all the EQ range. Would recommend for anyone who needs to have a well built and comfortable headset for extended daily use for either work, gaming or even audio engineering. Would be surprised if there was a specific use case where this would not work optimally vs much higher tier priced headsets.
Have used for a long time now.
Only issues I have is not being able to have the headphone jack and USB in at the same time as it creates static for anyone you may be talking to over discord, ps or xbox party chats.
It also has the standard issue to expect with every logistics product, and that is reliance on the G Hub.
Sound quality is good. Bads boost is good.
Seems to be rather quiet when used through the USB.
I love the automatic muting when flicking up the mic, and the volume adjuster and multiple buttons make it comfortable to use when lying back in a reclining chair as you don’t have to reach for the keyboard to pause and play.
Found out that the side plates are removable if you don’t want the logistics logo, and just want pure rub.
After spending time with the Arctic 7 (kinda okay but broke just out of warranty) and the utterly woeful Black shark V2 pro, I decided that I’d go with Logitech g935.
These actually sound great, almost as good as my k702, though withore bass due to the 935 being closed back. A lot like the dt770, I think, though it’s been a while since I had those.
The only caveat is that you do *not* install the ghub software. This ruins the DTS sound with no bass from the front soundstage and too much from the rear. Sonic you use ghub for other items, then forget it or stick with stereo… otherwise just use Windows standard drivers and DTS Unbound or Dolby access (latter is better for music movies and higher freq, the former for surround and gaming). The 935 will default back to dts I’d you have the app installed.
The battery doesn’t last so long but long enough and, while the build may not seem good, once on it’s fine. I’ve big ears and the cups fit great.
Being a visually impaired person, this headset really rocks! not only for playing games, which their are lots of accessible ones out there, it serves extremely well for chatting to friends, especially on software such as teamtalk, the sound quality is nothing short of amazing, as an Internet radio broadcaster, it gives really good audio quality, and the speech generated by my screen reader is crisp and clear, even when there are lots of other audio streams coming in. It may not suit everyone, due to its weight, but, that for me, really isn’t a problem! It has handy tones it will play if the volume is cranked full, or the battery is low, and when it’s turning on, it does play a tone when turning off, but only when the battery is totally flat, you really don’t need to have a power down tone when using the switch, as it’s a physical slider switch, not a push button software controled one, like some other headsets use, in short? Its amazing! It does everything i need! It is comfortable, easy to use, has nice sound, and, if the battery is starting to die, mid game, or broadcast? Just connect to a power bank, or PC USB and just keep going!
I used this headphone in Call of Duty Warzone and found the directional awareness to be brilliant. However, the headphones do not sound nearly as good when listening to music which was disappointing for me. I needed headsets that could be versatile.
The build quality is decent, I think there are some really good design features in the headset like the flush mic and small compartment for the USB dongle.
The size of the ear cups is great and comfort too but this is highly dependent on the users shape / size of head.
Finger print magnet on the shiny surface.
If purely for gaming, its a great headset.
Generally very good sound quality for music and audio, and perfectly adequate sound for gaming, slight issue I have, is the mic is constantly recording and slightly playing back through the ear piece. It is also a little quiet for some sounds like footsteps unfortunately.
But still very good quality sound and I may be just being picky based on personal preference for loud surround.
Great headphones, sound and bass is clear even when loud. Perfect for listening music ON PC. These are optimised and addressed for Bass heads like me, as well as RGB fans, PC and Nintendo Switch Gamers.
I don’t know why other experienced reviewers complain about the RGB light saying there is no point to it because you cannot see them. However, as you can see, if you have a RGB PC where your lights are synchronised to your music or games then this headphones will definitely add to it. Even if you are using other headphones/speakers on the same PC you will still enjoy the synchronised music RGB lighting as long as you have the correct profile selected. You will not have always the headphones on, and when you are not wearing them you can personalised the Log and the bar lines colours individually to decorate your PC Desktop, mine looks like a little spaceship. : )
Logitech stated that is safe and is ok to have them always plugged to the USB cable(included) to your computer for constant charging. So when I am on PC, no need to use them wireless, what’s the point, is not like my screen monitor is 2m from me. Wireless is pointless while playing games on PC. However, you will have them wirelessly anyway connected to PC via dongle and at the same time USB charging if you want them always charged, that’s what I do because I want them fully charged when I will disconnect them to play on my TV my Nintendo Switch.
They even support Spatial 3D Audio. You just need to purchase Microsoft software or Razer’s which is under 30 for a lifetime membership. I tried them for a week, and is not a big deal, since this headphones already have great Surround sound and powerful bass, and with the right combination of profiles, equalizer and bass setting , the 3d spatial audio doesn’t add much to it.
I don’t have PlayStation (I am a Nintendo gamer) so my worry was the compatibility with the Nintendo Switch. So, it supports even Surround sound on the Switch, very cool Logitech. Also you can go to your PC and add your own Equalizer setting to the onboard memory of the headphone and then by pressing the G3 button when playing wirelessly on the Nintendo Switch (USB dongle connected to its USB port of course) you will be able to cycle to the onboard profiles.
In regards with the mic, I don’t use it, but its quite cool with its little red light on the top, I prefer specialised desktop ones. You will Kind of look like Darth Vader with them on the web cam tough Lol, they really shine on the web cam and the red light on the mic, cool.
Don’t get me wrong this headset is fantastic for anyone looking to pick one up at its current price point however, I tend to be on my computer for up to 10/12 hours a day and unfortunately the battery life isn’t that long even with the back led strips turned off. It’s a shame when paired with the 502 which boasts a 60h+ life.
Mic quality is also lacking, I have used both this headset and the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless and the Arctis beats this in terms of voice clarity and quality.
Lots of customisable buttons the headset, the volume wheel for me is perfect in terms of how much pressure is needed to turn however, some people say it turns too easy to it’s down the preference. The wheel will not turn unless you touch it, that being said you can very easily move it if brushing past it.
Very comfy to wear for long period of time even though it has a large profile when compared to similar headsets at the same price point.
Would say in all, if you’re buying the headset purely for its wireless sound clarity and capability then go ahead however, if you’re looking to make videos/stream with this as your main microphone then I would go for something else, I understand that wireless microphones won’t always have the best quality however the Arctis out performs in this category.
I always like to have a pair of headphones with good sound. The Logitech G935’s provide that very well. Having the Logitech G Hub as well allows for heavy customization in what exact sound you’re after. Listening to music especially when you have the Surround Sound option on as a clear and nice bass to them.
On to the headset itself. At first it was crazy uncomfortable. Always sliding and rubbing I found myself adjusting the headset every 15-20mins slightly which was annoying. Coming from Hyper X Cloud II’s which had a nice area of cushion on your head, the Logitech design is more thin with less padding to there’s less surface area of comfort. Saying that I find now I’ve adjusted the headphones and got used to them. I no longer have that rubbing or uncomfortable feeling when I’m wearing them. The earpads too took a while to get used to from switching, but now they feel fine.
The quality. Now, I’ll start with the headset. Every slight movement you make with them it makes a crunch, squeak or an uncomfortable sound that makes you think you’re at danger of breaking them. The headset is very plastic and it feels quite cheap. Which is a shame since the sound quality is very good for the price. There’s 5 buttons on the left side of the headset. Power, G1,G2,G3 and mute mic. The G Keys can be customized in the G Hub to do what you want in the preset settings. Not a crazy amount but, turn surround sound on, change sound type to cinematic, bass etc.
The mic doesn’t have much bass etc to your voice. You can’t move it closer to your mouth, only adjust it up and down. Beware if you have background noise etc when playing and you’re talking to your mates as chances are the
mic will pick it up. I know you can just put on push-to-talk but sometimes you don’t want to keep having to push the button. It will pick up your voice clearly but I assume they’ve designed the sound pick up to be very sensitive to all sound since you can’t adjust it in any direction only move it into 1 position out of the headset slot. Also, the mute mic button on the back is pointless as pushing the mic up auto mutes the mic, so the mute button doesn’t need to be there.
There’s lights on the back of the headset. Which you dont see when you’re wearing. I guess its nice when its next to other RBG things in your setup, but kinda pointless in my option as all it does is drain battery life.
The battery life is very good honestly. I get about 6-8hrs of wireless play without needing to charge them. The distance of the headset as well seems very good. Depending on how big your house is of course. But for me I can walk around my entire house and still remain clearly hearing audio with no issue.
Overall, for the price the Logitech G935s provide a solid sound quality which is the best out there for wireless headsets in this price range. If you’re looking for a more “This feels more expensive than it is” I’d suggest something else for the quality of materials etc. But for what I was after, these are pretty much spot on.
Sound quality on the G935 Wireless is fantastic. Latency is virtually undetectable. Battery life is nice and long, as far as wireless headsets in this category go.
They cite 12 hours, however I seem to get slightly more than that. Still, even at about 15ish hours, this isn’t a headset you can use all day long. They do, however, have a replaceable battery in it, which means if you absolutely need to use it 24/7, you could theoretically get a second battery and charge it separately. Don’t ask me where to get a battery or a charger for it.
The biggest problem with this headset is that the software and functions are kind of finnicky. It never interrupted with actual usage, but the side buttons (except for the mute) seemed to function whenever and however they want.
I’ll set an on-board lighting profile and it only sometimes seems to recognise it, half the time it defaults to the default blue lighting even when connected to G-Hub. Sometimes the buttons don’t do what they’re supposed to, sometimes they do nothing at all. These are all minor gripes to me, because all the extra buttons serve very little purpose to me. I’ve found myself using the brightness toggle button sometimes, but most of the time it either doesn’t work at all or breaks the lighting entirely. I’m still not sure what it’s actually supposed to do because every single time I push it, it does something slightly different and I do not know why.
The scroll wheel also feels extremely flimsy, which is especially out of place on such an otherwise solid headset.
Audio quality on the mic isn’t bad, but it’s not great. I do, however, like how the microphone folds up into the headset and is almost impossible to see if you’re not using it.
On the other hand, the “mute” LED on the mic is impossible to see without taking the headset off, and if you have long hair you need to watch out because it can easily get caught in the microphone hinge.
Plug in the USB dongle and you’re set and ready to go. I tried it with a ps4 , PC (without Logitech-G HUB) and a PC with Logitech-G HUB.
With the ps4 the audio can get a bit quiet compared to other brands and there isn’t much you can do about that but overall the audio is very good.
The PC without G Hub worked great because you could still use all the features of the base headset that are pre established and the audio is much more adjustable.
The PC with G Hub is outstanding as you can customise the lighting as well as have a live audio feedback of your voice which sounds bad but after about 5 minutes just feels like you’re not wearing a headset and no longer have to worry about yelling because of how well the headset can cancel out outside noise such as you speaking. It can have customised button binds and can be used wired and wirelessly. It is an outstanding purchase.
I brought the G935 when it was 50% of its price, this was due to my old G633 wired headset fell off my lap onto the floor breaking the plug on the USB cable and lifted the usb socket off the PCB.
I repaired the socket on the headset, so the headset works fine now, sadly the all the usb cables I have tried on it are on the stiff side and digs into the shoulder / neck which is not comfortable for long gaming periods.
I did hear that the G935 wireless headset had better sound quality, and I can say voice chat sounds better over these, the game sound direction seems a bit off to me, but that might be a setting issue.
The description states that you can game wirelessly for up to 12 hours, please note those 12 hours are with the RGB Lighting turned off, not an issue for me turning them off, I cannot see them when I wear them.
I also set the volume to 32 and its loud enough to hear the game and chat fine.
I have managed to get just over 13 hours over one very long session playing games, chatting and watching Twitch / YouTube videos through the early hours.
The range of the headset is great, PC upstairs at the back of the house and was still able to hear the chat when I went downstairs to answer the front door.
Overall I am very happy with this headset.
I have Astro A50’s and the sound is louder on them, which I like, I am on xbox so I struggled to get them working on it, I had to go on the pc, no instructions anywhere even google, really nice comfy fit, 100% wireless on pc and ps4 but xbox you need the chat cable which is just the normal pin to pin like on headphones for your phone etc, it doesn’t have surround sound on xbox one but you can use xbox’ patented windows sonic which is good, for the price it’s easily one of the best out there but if you like it really loud like me I’d look at something else, also not tried it for music yet so I can’t comment on tha
Overall a good wireless headset quiet expensive full price if you’re able to get it on sale for a good deal 200% worth every penny at retail its quiet debatable.
Sound- 4.5/5 Good Sound pretty clear adjustable can be very bass heavy if you desire.
Mic-4/5 Very clear not a lot of colour in tones makes you sound kinda like a pilot.
Comfort- 3.5/5 The back top might dig in to your ears over prolonged use making it uncomfortable for long periods.
Wireless-5/5 Amazing no complaints super responsive! I can almost walk around my whole house without experiencing cutting only at the very end of the kitchen the complete opposite side of the house from my room do i get some cutting.
Software- 4/5 Logitech’s software is very clean and professionals only complaint is it’s DTS Surround 2.0 only I cant use Dolby Atmos with these.
Battery- 5/5 Can last you easily a whole day of gaming . Can come back from school work and easily get 15 hours of gaming off these.
Comfort:
Extremely comfortable headset, probably one of the best on the market. No issues when wearing with glasses, earpads are extremely soft and deform nicely around the glasses. The headset is a bit heavy, but it’s unnoticeable when wearing. The microphone is retractable and sits flush with the headphone so there is no chance of damaging. Battery life seems to be around 10-12 hours and charges for 3-4, which is perfect to leave overnight. Headset requires two USB ports, 1 for the connection adaptor and 1 for charging(if needed).
Sound:
Sound comes alive when you switch to 7.1 mode, but stays a bit on the bassy side and treble could be improved. The headset comes to live in games and is simply incredible. Sound bleeding is minimal even at max volume. Volume range seems to be a bit limited but in no way a problem. I personally use it around 10-20% volume which is perfect for talking/gaming, but when listening to music I would like to have another 20-30% over the limit. Expected a bit more, from the microphone but it’s in no case bad. It’s not a studio microphone. It also has a neat feature to automatically mute when retracted.
Quallity:
Headset is solid and looks nice even though it’s made from plastic. Questionable choice to use glossy finish on the side, as its commonplace to touch the headset. The RGB is questionable, as it is on the back and can’t be seen from the front, and takes 1-2 hours off the battery life.
Bonus Features:
Headset has 4 buttons on the left headphone, 3 programmable through the Logitech software and 1 microphone mute, as well as a volume wheel. My only complaint with them is the wheel seems to update a bit slow.
The battery is changeable and is located in the right headphone which might save the headset if the battery starts dying.
Summary (TL:DR):
The headset is good but for the price, one would expect a bit more. Microphone is not amazing, sound is not perfect for musicheads, but in no way bad. Headset is really comfortable and last for about a day, and charges overnight.
I would personally recommend the headset but the original price (160) is a bit too much in my opinion.
