Nice weighty feel to it. Would be difficult to go back to a normal mouse now
This is a fabulous little multi surface mouse but I returned it and found it’s Predecessor the 2 which is no longer made . With the programmable tilt wheel it gives me all the quick commands to do my CAD work
Great for small palm. Already have the grey one; brought this one in the pink colour so that I remembered to pack away when leaving work at end of day. The mouse is very sensitive, very sensitive; one charge last for nearly up to 6 months. Use the mouse everyday for excel, word, PowerPoint and web browsing
I bought this mouse as I have been using Apple’s Smart Mouse, which I find annoying to use. You have to take care to press the correct place on the surface, otherwise it might not react. The Logitech mouse is much better, you can press anywhere to get a reaction. The scroll wheel is also much nicer than the Smart Mouse method of working.
I had no difficulty connecting, or adjusting the settings in the software.
My only criticism for now is that there are two buttons on the left hand side, which are impractical for left-handers like me, hence only **** for ergonomics, although I don’t know if I will ever use them.
Very quick delivery and the mouse is a perfect smaller version of the MX2S.
Bought it to work with the mac Pro, it’s brilliant no problems and very comfortable.
Well pleased
First of all, the mouse arrived as scheduled.
The Amazon packaging was appropriate (A4 size cardboard envelope with the pull tab for opening). However, the Logitech box the mouse was in was almost impossible to open, requiring the side of the box to be dismantled before the inner sleeve could be accessed.
I’m using the Bluetooth connectivity which was extremely easy to set up; was connected and operational within a few minutes. Downloaded the Logitech Option+ software (which enables mouse button customisation) which was again easy.
Although roughly the same size as my previous Logitech mouse (M535) this feels a little smaller in the hand. Buttons are easy to access and have a nice feel to them, as does the metal scroll wheel.
Battery came approximately 50% charged, but connected to my laptop via a USB-C to USB-C cable and charged to 100% within an hour. Not sure how long the charge lasts but Logitech indicated approximately 70days (we’ll see).
Overall pleased with this product.
This is a great mouse for occasional use when I have to travel to office, instead of using my gaming mouse in the house.
Setup was easy, battery life is great, and it’s comfortable to use fir a day’s work.
Point deducted for the Logitech software – mouse couldn’t be controlled by existing Logitech G-Hub software, and I’ve had to install another Logitech app.
App doesn’t appear to do anything other than take ages to shut down, leaving laptop on for several minutes while Windows tries to exit it.
Should be added to G-Hub device list.
I bought this mouse in January to replace my old wired mouse and upon arrival it had its first full charge and paired with ease. It is now **October and I have only just had to charge it again! That’s without turning it off at all, unless travelling with it. Very impressed. (**EDIT: after writing the review, I started to doubt myself. I MAY have charged it one other time. Even at half the time I originally stated, that is still a darn good battery life.)
It has a good weight and isn’t TOO small. I don’t have massive man hands, this fits nicely in my palm.
I really like the metal scroll wheel and the functions it provides. Having the ability to lock/unlock free-scrolling on the fly is really handy.
It has been paired with my laptop and is near enough instantly responsive every time I boot up.
It’s not the biggest or the best but I have no complaints and would buy another if this one broke.
The only downside is that there is nowhere on the mouse to keep the dongle, but considering I bought it to use as a Bluetooth mouse it’s not too big of an issue. I bought a little case for it separately so I just keep the dongle in there. Sorted.
EDIT: I have been using this mouse to work between 3 computers. Having the ability to change connection on-the-fly with the little button on the bottom of the mouse is great. Once setup, the change is near instant.
..felt a bit “plasticky” for what was (to me) quite an expensive mouse.
Otherwise, performs just as well as its 10 year old predecessor (a Logitech M555b).
I’ve been using this mouse for a few months now and I’m really happy with it. It’s very comfortable to use and the buttons are easy to press. The scroll wheel is also very smooth. I would definitely recommend this mouse to anyone.
Just a quick review.
Mouse is fine, it does what it’s supposed to do. I particularly enjoy the smooth scroll wheel.
I only wanted to leave this review as I appear to have solved my connection woes.
I have suffered disconnection issues since buying this mouse. Windows 10 would randomly turn off Bluetooth, mouse would go dead, after a few minutes connection would return. Even ‘forgetting’ mouse and re-connecting would be temporary fix.
Last night, I realised I had Logi Bolt program and connected using this and so far, no drop outs.
In case anyone else has connection problems, try using the Logi Bolt program.
I have been using this mouse for just over a month now.
Upon opening the box and holding the mouse I was quite worried it was too small to use but after a few hours I got used to it and now I really love this mouse. The magnetic wheel can feel a bit strange when scrolling but nothing too distracting. Battery seems to last for ages
The MX Anywhere series has always been top of the line. I’ve owned every iteration of the MX Anywhere since the original.
The laser tracks anywhere, even on glass surfaces where other mice won’t track. The fast scroll wheel is essential for browsing the web and for work. Also, it can quickly switch between multiple unifying adapters, which is great when working with multiple devices.
This iteration of the mouse removes the tilt wheel for horizontal scrolling, and implements a feature where holding a side button toggles horizontal scrolling. This works inconsistently if your computer doesn’t have the logi options software installed (like a work computer). I hope they bring the tilt wheel back for the future.
There are great upgrades in features though, including the USB-C charging, adaptive scroll wheel speed, middle clicking with the scroll wheel and programmable middle button.
I was really pleased with this mouse, though to start with I had to modify some registry keys to get it working properly on my Dell XPS 13 when in battery mode as the power saving features would drop the connection after a few seconds of inactivity. Worked great for a year, but can occasionally still have connection issues, especially after a full charge, but tends to sort itself out after a bit, so only dropped 1 star.
Coming from an older logitech mouse, this is a really good mouse, with different options to connect to more than one device, and USB c charging, which are really handy and useful – the metal wheel is also a nice touch – but like a lot of mouses (mice?) you start to feel the wear and tear after regular use and it loses that bit of premium feel it has to it – also, the connection through the usb bluetooth dongle seems to be worse than the built-in bluetooth connectio
Overall very good, tracking is very smooth and accurate, if it isn’t check for a pet hair on the mouse pad:) Scroll wheel has to be tried to appreciate the auto freewheel mode for fast scrolling. Would be even better if there was a left-handed version as I can’t use the extra side buttons, meant for the thumb.
Ergonomically, it sits a bit low under the hand so I found it lacked underhand support. So I have added some self adhesive foam to get support I was used to from my previous mouse.
I love this mouse. I came back to leave this review in one and half years after purchase simply because I feel I owe it one. When I bought it I paid 79.99, which was quite expensive for a mouse that I mostly use it for general office works. But overtime I heard many times of me telling myself that this mouse is so good and absolutely worth the money. Now it’s priced 57, much lower than what I paid for, so I feel a bit disappointed coz it is worth more than that! I highly recommend it.
I write software professionally and do quite a lot of computer-based CAD on Windows 10 machines. This mouse feels nice, a good weight, glides nicely and works much better on difficult surfaces than the cheaper Logitech mouse that it replaced. I never need to use the mouse over paper or a mat – my desk surface is fine.
I use it with the MX Keys keyboard – together they are lovely. Battery life seems fine and can be plugged in to the USB-C cable for a short while if it needs topping up. The nicely-weighted wheel is easily switched from frictionless to ‘detent’ with a single click next to the wheel and it is really fast to scroll through large web pages and documents but under control. You can control the detent ‘notchiness’ and the spin rate below which which it turns on. That means that you can fast spin through a document and then stop the spin and you have your detents back if you want – that works really well.
I love the copy buffer transferring form one computer to another. The Logitech ‘flow’ (the automatic transfer from computer to another sometimes just by moving the mouse cursor feels a bit sluggish and sometimes seems to not work correctly, in which case I end up turning the mouse over and manually selecting the other computer.
If you want, you can program the two side buttons as a global functions or even per application but, despite doing a lot of design, I never think to use them; the rear one is too far back for my thumb to remember that it is even there. Just occasionally I remember that I can scroll sideways using the mouse wheel if I press a side button.
Despite that, I love it and would definitely buy it again. It definitely feels to me like a mouse that is worth paying the extra for.
I read that you couldn’t zoom with the scroll wheel, but I downloaded the Logitech software and set it up and it’s fabulous. It’s smooth, quiet, full ability to set it up, just as you need it! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has any doubts. Easy setup, nicely packaged. Money well spent, compared with the basic apple mouse that came with my iMac! It’s so easy to pair with your computer. I love the zoom with the wheel, which also scrolls nicely and fast through pages. Great for gaming, photoshop, etc. Even Facebook seems better! Lovely product and fast delivery! Thank you very much!
The stand out feature compared to cheaper mice is the scroll wheel – very smooth, stable an solid. Also nice to be able to switch between line-by-line and free scrolling at the touch of a button. For me, a big plus is the ability to switch between computers using the same mouse – especially when paired with the MX Keys Mini keyboard. My only negative is the size – it’s a bit small to be considered truly ergonomic. Doesn’t fit as well as it could in the palm – and I don’t have large hands. I have got used to this, though and would still recommend this mouse.
This product is well made, functional, and should last. Set up is easy. I have absolutely no complaints and would buy it again. However, I have one concern. Not with the product itself but with Amazon sending out this product that had clearly been opened and used. This is not the first time I had an issue with used products being sent out to unsuspecting customers. I must add, however. Amazon replaced the product once notified and I am very pleased with the replacement service. Amazon should ensure the problem does not arise in the first place. Thank you Amazon.
Really this is a very good mouse. The design and look is first class and pairing to devices is super quick and easy. Feels good in your hand, even if you have large hands like me and the buttons and scroll wheel are comfortable and easy to use. Light weight and one charge lasts ages, i haven’t needed to re-charge since topping up when I bought it and no longer need to worry about wasteful and weighty batteries. Highly recommended.
Good quality mousr and the scroll wheel has some revolutionary innovative technology… but innovative novelty is not always good.
The mouse has managed to piss me off for few times especially because of unifying technology. If you use the keyboard and the mouse through the same Bluetooth device they will split the data transfer between both and on very demanding apps/games the mouse will occasionally freeze for 0.5 to 1 secconds. Also the scroll whell does occasionally some misses.
I bought it for gaming and CAD design and so far the mouse is doing a great job but has some small pain points as described above. I totally recommend it if you’re planning on using it with it’s own separate Bluetooth usb but forget about unifying tehnology as it is nor that reliable.
Likes:
-Up to three devices with a reasonably easy swap from one to the other (flip the mouse over, press a button to cycle between device 1, 2 and 3)
– It is every bit as comfortable as my previous two surface mice that cluttered up my desk
– USB C charging, Hard to tell how how many days I’d get from a charge as I tend to move the USB cable from Keyboard to mouse to mobile phone over the course of the day (A mans got to have a hobby and mine is using USB-C whilst snarling at older usb devices that always take at least three attempts to insert the cable in the right orientation)
No dislikes but in the ‘not so sure’ category
– There are some user definable buttons on the RHS that are within thumb reach if you use mouse in your right hand but left handers will be frustrated in seconds by the finger contortions need to click them. To be clear: I use this mouse both left and right handed and the normal L+R buttons and scroll wheel are fine, it is just the weird two user defined function buttons on the side of the mouse that are problematic.
Good little mouse. I’ve been working from home and my work device is crap so need an external mouse and keyboard. With limited USB, a Bluetooth mouse was the only option. I did already have one but it was a cheap and clunky one – only meant to be slung in the backpack for occasional use with my own laptop. So, I really wanted something that was more comfortable to use for extended periods.
Well, it first that bill. It is quite small so still not as ergonomic as a proper mouse – my main mouse is a Razer Mamba Elite wired, which is a lovely mouse. But, it’s still very comfortable. The other thing is the Bluetooth seems to work better than my older Bluetooth mouse. That would take ages to activate and keep dropping out. This one is loads better on the connectivity front, which is another great point.
So, why the 4 stars and not 5? The price! How this mouse can cost this much money I don’t know. I even waited for the price to drop to a more reasonable level before pulling the trigger but still felt mugged. I mean it’s nice, but how nice?
I have set this up on two PCs that already work very well with my MX keys.
If you have one of these superb keyboards the mouse will use the same dongle as the MX keys, thus saving a USB port. On the newer machine it works just as well on Bluetooth.
My next move is to connect it to a third machine – either a laptop or my MacBook Pro.
Well made a good value as it controls three machines and declutters my small desk.
I primarily use this mouse in my home office, but bought it due to its compact size and anywhere tracking, for those times I need to use on the move. Thus far, it has been great for both purposes.
The mouse tracks well, on almost any surface (well, all I’ve tested anyway). I even tested it on my pajama covered leg, which worked really well! Shiny surfaces? No problem.
The mouse is about 2/3 the size of a regular mouse, but even as a larger handed user, I’ve never had any issues (I’m 6ft 3, with fairly large hands).
The unifying receiver is excellent. I’ve had no issues with signal drop-off etc. I actually bought this mouse at the same time and the MX Keys keyboard, and using the unifying software (download from Logitech site) I’ve remapped the channels so both use one receiver on channel 1 (connected to my desktop gaming PC) and then both go via channel 2 to my work laptop (Surface laptop 3). Switching been channels is done easily via a button on the bottom of the mouse. This feature is excellent for switching between the two systems without needing an additional set of peripherals in reach.
I’ve not used the mouse for gaming, as I use a G502 lightspeed for that department. I imagine it would be good if you’re casting over steamlink or geforce now to a TV in a different room, but that is only an assumption and I’ve not tested this myself.
The scroll wheel is perhaps the only potential con. The magnet scroll lock sometimes isn’t quite strong enough, and the wheel ends up scrolling too far, even when it’s supposed to be at highest resistance. The wheel also has no native side scroll, but this can be done holding the shortcut key on the side and then scrolling up and down. However I imagine if this is something you use a lot (I do not), then this may not be the mouse for you.
In summary, a great little mouse that can pretty much track anywhere.
I read a lot of reviews about this mouse before I purchased it and they were all positive. And the mouse is absolutely amazing, I love it! I got used to the new buttons and I find them incredibly useful.
The scroll wheel is fantastic. I couldn’t live without it not that I got used to it.
The battery is not that great, if you’re used to the non-bluetooth mouses that last 2 years, you’ll be disappointed, but it’s not a big issue because the USB-C is the same that you can find on any modern laptop so you can just charge it for an hour and get a few more weeks of battery.
Overall, it’s a nice mouse. Even though I have very large hands, I prefer the MX3 Anywhere to the MX3 Master because when using the latter, it felt like my hand was falling to the side and accidentally pressing the right-click button due to the weight distribution.
The mouse works with Ubuntu 18.04 out of the box, but it was extremely laggy until setting it up with another computer that had the Logitech Options app installed. The app is not available for Linux, so I had to pair it with a Mac and configure the wireless receiver/USB before plugging it back into my Ubuntu computer. It’s been a few days and I haven’t noticed much if any lag since. (My Bluetooth driver is not working, so I can only use the mouse with the wireless USB receiver)
If you have big hands, move along – this isn’t the mouse for you. Otherwise, read on.
Pros:
– works with up-to three devices as advertised (Mac/PC, BT and unifying receiver alike)
– Simple, ergonomic no-nonsense design
– The mag-wheel is a nice idea – roll it slowly, it’ll behave like a “ratchet” type wheel; flick it, and it automatically goes into freewheel mode. You can switch to freewheel-only with a click of the button beside it.
– button clicks feel solid, and do register well
– works while charging (USB-C port at the front)
– haven’t charged it yet after the first charge cycle (~180h of use so far)
Cons:
– there is a minimal, but still noticeable input lag in fast-paced games – a common issue with wireless mice
– the mouse could be a little bigger – I understand it’s an “anywhere” mouse with mobile use in mind, but still
– the much hyped cross-over function (dragging things between different devices) didn’t work at all (mac-to-mac, mac-to-pc); I have no need for it, so it’s not an issue, but worth considering if it’s a feature you need.
I bought this to replace my old Mx anywhere 1 mouse. This is noticeably lighter, the finish is more satisfying to touch imo, charges via usb c (no more batteries!!!) and the Logitech flow functionality works great between my windows laptop and iMac. The only downside is I’m left handed and it’s a bit difficult to use the useful side buttons – but thankfully this mouse is symmetrically designed otherwise (something the original Mx anywhere isn’t). Not a problem if you’re right handed though
My MX Anywhere 2 micro USB finally had a problem, the main mouse button no longer sends a click.
I got an MX Anywhere 3 as a replacement and it’s doing the job fairly well.
Pros:
* Bluetooth and USB dongle make it easy to switch between my work Mac and Personal Linux laptops.
* Don’t need to unlock the wheel to go to super fast scrolling mode.
* The wheel itself acts a middle button click and doesn’t scroll the wheel in the process.
Cons
* The middle button below the wheel no longer acts as Linux paste.
* Cannot tilt on the wheel to scroll windows Left/Right any more. (loss of functionality)
* Infinite scrolling takes more effort:
– On the MX2 when the wheel was unlocked I could spin it really fast to continuously scroll up/down a long way
– On the MX3 you can still spin quite fast but the wheel does slow down. I have to cock my finger and use my fingernail to flick the wheel up with force to get it to scroll continually.
– Scrolling down is a bit easier but must make effort when flicking the wheel.
