I used first MX Master for years without any issues.
After all those years of wear and tear, despite it’s still functional I decided to change it. This new version is with the same quality and more features included. I’m extremely pleased with it.
Very comfortable to use. Easy to download the app to customise the mouse which has many features to fit to preference: button binding for each application you use, sensitivity, etc. The mouse is very quiet and feels smooth when using. The only thing that may take getting used to is the right and left click buttons are almost too easy to click compared to other mouses.
It’s expensive, but so far, has been worth the money. I’ve only had it a month or so, but as it’s Logitech, I’m sure it will last, and won’t disappoint.
I’d been looking at this mouse for a while but had been put off by the price. I gave in and bought it when it was on offer and Im glad I did.
Been using the Master MX series since gen1, the 3s is a little smaller perhaps but super quiet – the buttons are made not to make a clicking noise. One to get used to, but otherwise great …and finally a Type-C connector too yay.
Stains easily even if your hands are reasonably clean (buy dark coloured if that suits )
Impossible to remove the stains; major issue especially for curry eating with hands.
Otherwise one of the best mouses in the market.
You can use it for 3 PCs/Macs
Connects seamlessly.
I use this for 2D CAD and large excel spread sheets.
It fit in my hand very comfortably and feel very well made. I can use it all day with out fatigue.
I have bought a carry case to take it into the office, to protect my investment.
This mouse is so clean and packed with features! As a lifelong gamer and software developer, this mouse is perfect both for recreation and for scrolling through long lines of code or articles. I love it so much, especially the scroll wheel. No complaints at all. The device also works on Linux, but a few of the features are missing (Please support Linux! It has millions of users!). Overall, very happy
Great mouse but overpriced. Also be aware that this uses the newer wireless reciver so if you have other devices that use the older unifying receiver technology, you’ll need a separate USB receiver for each.
Not the cheapest, but you do get what you pay for. This is my second one of these which tells you something.
They are so ergonomic and comfy to use. I am a heavy mouse user and never had a clink of RSI using this; i have before this one with std mice shapes
I think i wore the last one out, and this one i know and expect to last years.
Everything about this mouse is perfect, you do need to give it some time to get used to the shape of it about a day or so, but once you do its soooo comfy to use! I usually use a Razer gaming mouse and thats fine however for more prolonged periods of time the Logitech MX Master 3S is defiantly more comfortable. the reason I bought it was to use it at my job where ill be on the computer for 8h a day and wanted something thats comfortable. but now I just want to use this mouse for everything!
if you are stuck on deciding on to get the 3s or the 2s go for the 3s, the buttons are more silent but feel good and much better than the 2s, the mouse its self is better built and the scroll wheel is majorly improved! side buttens are in a better place and also has extra motion buttons!
As you can see by my 5-star rating I think pretty highly of this mouse and I haven’t even used it for more than a week. The comfort is outstanding and the scroll wheel is buttery smooth and a delight to scroll down huge documents or web pages with. Strangely the first one I ordered seemed to have an issue with this but Amazon quickly sent a replacement which is the one I am currently reviewing. Other than that and a few other minor glitches that I am still figuring out I would rate this a solid “send and would recommend”!
I really like this mouse. It was recommended to me by the ergonomics person at work. The horizontal scroll wheel is excellent for work on large spreadsheets and I use it daily.
One downside: I ordered the white version and it looked lovely, but after a few months it has started to show some grey stains where my hand rests on the mouse. Not very appealing. I reached out to Amazon and they offered a replacement, where I would have to return the mouse first. I would’ve preferred a partial discount as I need the product and it’s still a perfectly fine mouse, but I was no longer eligible as the order was placed >6 months ago. I’ll be keeping it, but am still a bit bummed.
Coming from my old trusty M185 Logitech mouse, I was slightly worried I’d find this too bulky or most things wouldn’t work on Linux (Mint 21.1). I shouldn’t have been. It felt instantly comfortable and almost all the buttons worked on Linux with Solaar (1.1.9) straight out of the box. The only thing I did was reverse the direction of the horizontal thumb scroll wheel, which was easy to do with a single option in Solaar. As someone who uses code and jupyter notebooks etc, I would often find myself with horizontal content wider than the screen/viewport and have to find the horizontal scroll bar to click and drag it. I never knew I was missing a horizontal thumb scroll wheel from my life!
I haven’t done anything with the additional gestures button on the thumb rest. That doesn’t seem to do anything out of the box, but I’ve not looked into it at all. This is the only functionality that doesn’t seem to do anything from the get go.
I use Bluetooth to connect. There’s often a very slight lag as the mouse wakes up when you move it after a period of inactivity. I assume this is a power saving thing. Whether this is any different if you connect via the included USB dongle, I don’t know. I don’t use that because I still use my old wireless Logitech keyboard that doesn’t work on the new dongle and I didn’t see the point having two plugged in.
I didn’t know I needed such a posh mouse until I splurged on this one. Replaced my old gaming mouse which was already quite premium, but the MX 3s is next level. When you’re spending all day using a keyboard and mouse it’s definitely worth having something that feels a bit special, and this certainly does. The left/right click buttons are just effortless and a joy to use! The vertical Scrolly wheel take a bit of getting used to as it transitions from ratchety to smooth the faster you move it, and still haven’t found a use for the horizonal scrollers. Battery life is good, and it points where you want it to go. The Logi app offers some levels of customisations for the buttons, but definitely not gamer-centric macro’s or anything like that, it’s aimed for business and it does the business.
There is a lot to like about this mouse and so there should be given the price. It is described as a silent click mouse, but in getting rid of the click Logitech has made it easier to depress the buttons. I find that just resting my middle finger on the right click button often results in an unintended right click. I had this trouble with another Logitech silent mouse, the M650, bought elsewhere. I asked my daughter to try the M650 and she had the same problem so the problem is not this particular mouse or me, but the silent click mechanism. I think Logitech need to tweak the mechanism so the buttons are quiet, but less sensitive.
