Motion sensor works perfectly so it is a security light, I’m going to put mine put up on my patio, if it ever stops raining !
I’ve tested it indoors and it’s brilliant, really easy to put together you literally just screw in 2 parts and screw in the bulb then the glass cover for the bulb. (Bulb included). I charged it through a bedroom window which actually worked, it has quite a large capacity for charging. This will be a great addition to my patio and will help me when getting the cats in at night. Very well made, nothing to find fault with. Highly recommended.
I’m in the process of renovating the house but have been struggling to get power to the front door for a light. This solar light is the perfect solution for a dusk to dawn light and I wouldn’t know it was solar from the street.
It’s built very well with the dome made from glass and it accepts a normal bulb so can be replaced if the led goes before the solar system. It’s a metal and plastic construction that is quite heavy but it doesn’t flex and looks premium.
The battery so far has been great, providing enough light in the evenings. I will have to wait and see how the solar deals with darker winter days, but so far I’m impressed.
At 48 it isn’t cheap and I would have though it would be a little cheaper so it is value for money if factoring the cost of an electrician to drill holes all over the house but maybe buying a normal mains one would be best if the power is available.
It would also be nice to have a motion sensor to extend the battery life or boost the output when someone is passing.
This is so simple to put together, and even comes with a bulb.
Only two screws into a wall and it’s up. So simple.
I took it outside for 100 seconds in the early evening in late autumn on a wet cloudy day in the UK to decide where to put it and when I came back in it was already on! I couldn’t believe it. I had reservations that this product wouldn’t be great due to lack of sun but honestly after those 100 seconds I’ve been proven wrong.
I highly recommend this solar outside light.
The stock photos on this item do not do it justice I personally thought that it was going to be a cheap pound shop quality product going by the pictures however it is far from it, the item comes extremely well packaged and they have used strong durable materials to build it, there is a fair bit of weight to the unit however they provide all the fixtures needed to attach it to a wall, it comes in 3 parts you get the arm then the light module that simply screws onto the arm then you get a bulb enclosure that screws up over the bulb, the bulb provided is a screw in standard size led bulb and will be cheap to replace if needed, but most importantly the amount of light this produces is amazing you would swear that it’s hooked up to the mains it’s so good and it only comes on at night then turns off in the day to charge via solar power, I have had this for around two weeks now and I’ve had zero issues for the money you are getting what you pay for this is a quality product and worth every penny
This is a lovely stylish solar light.
Very easy to install, requiring only 2 drill holes/screws to anchor it.
It kicks out a nice ambient light, enough to see what you are doing, but not blinding.
The light comes on automatically at dusk and lasts for many,many hours.
We have ours situated by the front door, this will deter trespassers by looking like someone is home.
This is a good size light that works on solar panel so easy to install.
I got this as I needed a light outside my back door to see the way to my workshop
Really easy to install and I like how bright it is (not too bad, but good enough to see).
The motion detection is a bit hit and miss but not really a concern for me.
I just wanted something by my backdoor and this does the trick!
At time of review, this lamp is just under 60. I think the quality of the light and the functionality is worth the price. The glass is glass, not plastic. The metal frame etc seems to be substantial and looks like it’ll withstand weather and the elements and it has a motion sensor. It’s easy to fix and there are no ongoing running costs as it’s solar powered.
I took a couple of days to chose position, having closely watched the sun angle and height. It’s very easy to fix. The wall I used was uneven, so after placing it, I used a bit of sealant around the edges to stop water going down the back and inside the bracket. I really like the design; nice clean lines and it looks very elegant. It withstood a fearsome wind the other day and I’m confident it’ll last. A great looking unit and so simple to install.
This is a lovely light. Easy to put together.it looks really good and the light is fab. It’s solar powered so no electric needed. Looks good outside house.
