Great item, good for educational purposes, great activity to do with a child.

However can be found at a fifth at the price.

Very easy to do, although quite delicate.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNote: Before you think parts 15-18 are missing ( if you cannot find the sprue as shown in the good and clear instructions ) :- in ours these parts were already stacked together and safely placed, in a bag, inside one of the large fan blades – thus ensuring they arrived with no damage. There is a measure of care needed when separating the turbine blades from the sprues – not to break, or bend, a fine turbine, but also to ensure the lengths of the 4 connected blade-ends are trimmed back to match the remainder – otherwise you will find they have difficulty freely rotating when inserted in the casing: Ideally a small pair of side cutters should be used to separate the parts; we also filed them smooth with an emery board. The long metal shaft will not ‘roll’ on a desk as it has a flattended (/keyed) side which aligns with some of the turbines during the final shaft assembly, to ensure those blades all turn together. The drive belt is translucent so that this ‘unoriginal’ component is not obvious in the completed model. A very impressive model assembled in a short time [unpainted] at christmas

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt was brilliant however the spark plugs were very hard to fit in and I found out that I was because the holes were to small so I had to drill the holes to make them bigger. Not a big job but still had to be done

Just for fun 1st model I’ve built in 30 years really enjoyed the challenge. Read assembly instructions carefully then read them again it will be easier to assemble. I made 1 error and had to take down and get put right from the very beginning great fun though highly recommend this ki

Bought to help my 10 year old son, who was learning about car engines. Really nice model- easy to construct given how much there is. One nice touch is that your have to align the timing belt, and tune the distributer, just like a real engine.

Very quick and easy to assemble. Model works well as intended and was a helpful visual teaching aid, however be warned that the noise it makes to mimic the engine is very loud so be wary around smaller children so as not to scare them.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt’s a fairly accurate facsimile of a generic of a 911 boxer engine (but no oil pump ). You need plenty of workspace to assemble the kit and to locate individual components. Instructions accurate but the print is rather small. In summary I enjoyed the experience and it’s worth the money.
PS It worked first time when I switched it o

Straightforward build with minimal fuss tidying up the sprue residues after cutting the parts.

The drive-belt was a bit weedy but a few spots of silicon grease in the planetary gears and bushings soon freed up the spool nicely.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery well produced model, which builds into a realistic V-Twin engine.
The instructions were a bit vague with regards setting the valve timing,
but apart from that, very pleased ! I thought the sound chip would be
tacky, but it’s actually very good, sounding just like a real engine !

Extremely good value, needed a little fettling to get things running smoothly, but this adds to the experience. My son loved building this as much as playing with it following.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGood not great. Be very careful when assembling to get rid of any lugs left when you remove the parts from the mold. When supplied there were insufficient screws in the pack, took the supplier 3 weeks to provide more. Too small to get anywhere else. But enjoyed putting it together.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy Partner was over the moon to receive this at Christmas ! He started building it on Boxing Day and completed it within a few hours. It now sits on his side table in the Lounge so that he can ‘start it up’ regularly…..Boys and their Toys !!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this for my brother as I thought it would help him learn the components of a engine and where they go and how they work, he was very pleased with it and managed to complete the build in a bout a hour! To my amazement, this is a functioning rotating engine

We bought this for my son for his Christmas. He enjoyed building it but did need a bit of help from his dad, there was a problem with some screws that weren’t long enough but was easily fixed. Overall a good product and my son loves the finished engine
