Great warm coat. Too bad they removed the elastic loops they used to have: to keep the hood on your head. This one will never stay on! Bad decision, Marmot.

I am always cold and German weather does not help. I have bought this coat to be prepared for 2022/2023 winter and it is one of the best purchases of my life! It is comfy and really warm, ideal also for windy day and with light rain. Highly recommended

It’s exceedingly warm and comfortable while still being lightweight and convenient. I found it expensive but very well worth it when I received it. I’m very pleased with this purchase

Very pleased with this item very warm and not heavy to wear great having two inside pockets and extra warm lining in the top part of coat ordered a medium and very pleased with the sizes I am a size 12 also perfect length just below the knee I am 5ft 2ins in all worth the money

It is super lightwieght and soft to the touch. It is true to size (I normally wear size S and the same size fits perfectly). The quality is really good. I haven’t tried it outside yet, but my first impression exceeds my expectations.

Bought this for a trip to New York and wasn’t disappointed. I have a Northface coat but wanted something with more down and this is 700. Very pleased with purchase. It does come up small so I would go a size up. I am normally size 8-10 and extra small in Northface. Ordered a small in this and it is snug- wouldn’t want to put on any weight 🙂

Very well made, super warm coat. Looks simple and stylish. Only thing is that the fit is narrow across the chest and shoulders so consider sizing up. I’m XS in almost all outdoor brands but needed S in this.

This is currently my favourite coat; it feels soft, lightweight and warm. Other reviews said they had a problem with the zip but mine is fine; it’s just back to front for me but you get used to it. The coat has a lifetime garentee for the zip if it breaks or sticks anyway. I love the soft lining and the long length. The only thing I would change is the cuffs being tighter and the neck being more padded to make it more snug but that is not a big deal as a scarf or wearing a polo neck jumper solves that problem. The coat is warm; I was in search of the warmest mid priced range coat I could find. I have really feel the cold and find i need an extra jumper underneath in anything colder than 3oc but I bought the size large although I am a size medium(12) to accommodate this and it’s a perfect fit.

I love this coat! It’s so soft, stylish and importantly warm. I am so happy with my purchase. Regarding size I am a 12-14 with a smaller bust and bigger bum and the L was perfect for me, with enough room to wear a thick jumper. What I also like is that the hood is small. Very very happy with this coat.

I am quite tall, 5ft 9in and find it difficult to get coats that are long enough . This is just above my knees. It is well made, the top has a cosy lining and the pockets and lined and keep hands warm. The coat has some shape and is not too bulky, unlike many other down coats. I live by the sea where is is always windy and this has kept me warm this winter. A good coat.

Very happy with the purchase. Item arrived quickly as well. Previous reviews recommended one size larger but for me, size S (which is what I normally wear) fits perfectly (I’m 163, 56 kg). I tried size M and it was too baggy. The fleece lining inside feels very comfortable. The length is also good (stops at the knee). The zipper is not too bad as others have noted but it just has a certain technique (push it a little hard until you hear it clicks). Feels like it’s going to be a warm jacket. I normally feel colder than everyone else, even in mildly cold weather, so I’m looking forward to testing the jacket this winter.

The XS is for a 25.5 inch waist, any larger then this will be super snug – I only know this as I’ve gained an inch after the hols.

The design is elegant; the length reaches my knees (5ft 4), and doesn’t make me look like a Michelin man.

To compare it against my North Face Metropols, the Marmot is superior. TNF doesn’t look as elegant and isn’t as warm as the Marmot Montreaux for several reasons:

Marmot has cuffed the sleeves meaning the cold can’t creep up the arms.

Marmot has added a faux suede type fabric inside the arms and also inside part of the inner lining, which keeps you warmer.

Marmot has a smaller hood that sits close to the head, whereas north face metropolis has an enormous hood that’s not only visually ugly but can be blown off the head easily.

The filling is generous and the cut is flattering to the figure.

Marmot keeps me warm in windy and cold conditions whereas my North face metropolis only kept me warm in semi-cold conditions.

A bit too long than expected, but extremely warm and comfortable. I would say it is better than Rab, as the outer line is softer and because of the fleece in the inner part and pockets, which helps a lot! Hood is a bit small, but faux fur helps to keep in place

Great quality and great fit. Love the hood, the fabric, the warmth. Also like the warm furry lining half way down. Great pocketry and doesn’t compromise fit on a female figure.
Great length (I’m 5’11). My size 14 was true to size.

Lovely warm long coat, just what I wanted. A bit on the pricey side but very good quality so happy. Bought a large having read previous reviews, I’m usually a size 12, and wanted to be able to wear a thick jumper underneath. It comes to just above my knees and I’m 6ft tall.

Marmot coats are amazing. It is long, warm and it has a hood. It is ideal for Winter in London. U will have to wear layers underneath but the coat will protect you. I have been wearing Marmot coats for a long time and I have loved the colours it has come in.

Beautiful coat, but I had to return it as it was too tight on the shoulders… so if you have wide shoulders like me, it may be a bit tight. It fitted perfectly everywhere else.

Absolutely love the coat. It was purchased for me as a Christmas present. I must say though that the sizing of the garments are scary!! I have recently lost a lot of weight. and am a reasonable size now for my height. I had to get XXL in order to fit well!! This played a horrid mind game with me!

I love the coat, but it ran VERY small. I even researched the size guide at Marmot prior to ordering and ordered accordingly. I normally wear a med-large in most coats. I up-sized to an XL, but it was very tight across the shoulders, and would not have allowed room for layering anything under, as in a heavy sweater, or fleece, so I reordered in an XXL. I’ve never worn an XXL in my life, but it worked. In spite of the sizing issues, I am still giving it a 5 star review because it is attractive, well-made, has the detachable hood, and is exactly what I wanted. I’ve returned 2 coats from other high-end famous retailers this season because I was disappointed in the quality, which seems to have gone downhill. This coat is a keeper!!!!

Even though it is a bit tight I love it as it doesn’t look buggy but very feminine. Because it’s warm I don’t need many layers anyway. It is soft inside and very well finished. It’s expensive but I don’t regret buying when it’s windy and cold outside and I feel warm and well covered. The hood is relatively small so it fits well and isn’t blown off by wind.

I wanted a warm, long coat for harsh winters and this certainly fits the bill! I am 5’7″, 115 lbs- I got a medium as several reviewers said this coat runs small and I have long arms which sometimes can be a problem with small sizes for me. The coat hits me at the knee which is nice. The plush interior lining is super soft and luxurious. It is a bit on the puffy side and I wish it were a little more fitted in the waist but I suppose that’s the compromise for the 700g down fill. I don’t know if a small would look better on me…. One last thing to point out- I had a little difficulty with the zipper as it feeds through the two heads (it seems to get stuck at the first zipper head) not every time, but I can see this being a potential problem if I’m in a hurry and need to get out the door.

Adore my coat. Perfect for watching my son play football. Lots have people have displayed coat envy! Light yet very warm. I look a bit like a marshmallow but it’s a small price to pay. Everything seems high quality, no feather escapes and I have worn it in drizzle with no problem. I imagine it will be my faithful winter companion for many years. Also the pockets are lined with something really soft and snugly, they really have thought of everything!
