Went together very easily worked fine on first 2 trips out on the 3rd trip the pin point stopped working, contacted maker they are sending me a new part.

Not had time to use it fully but have tested it out found it easy to use, on different metals the different types.

Lite weight easy to use needs a little practice to get used to tones and various sensitivity settings. I buried a few things in the lawn and let my partner find them.
We had this detector set up and ready to go in minutes. It was easy to assemble. It looks good on the eye and it feels comfortable and stable to wear. Quite lightweight. An arm strap holds it snuggly in place. The stem is adjustable accomodating people of various heights. The various settings are controlled from the bright display which is simple enough to get the hang of. We haven’t been very successful yet with any major finds as yet but the good weather is coming. Overall, there’s nothing wrong with it. Quite a good buy for a cheap price. Under 130. I would recommend it until you want to fork out hundreds.

Next week will be heading to a beach to explore lost treasures in the sand as I tried hiding gold under a soil to see how it works and how deeply it will pick up so I’m looking forward to my new Hobby
The maximum detection range is decent, the advertised depth is 25.4cm which has been consistent with my findings down on the beach. The stem is adjustable to allow users of all heights to effectively and comfortably use the device, this ranges from 36.2″ (92cm) to 47.2″ (120cm).
This is a well-performing and accurate detector, it’s a lot cheaper than a similar looking ACE 400i, yet in my testing it performs better and has more functions.
I love going on long walks up and down the coastline with music playing with this detector, it helps me stay in shape as I’m constantly moving, and I also find it very therapeutic.
To my surprise you don’t need to really know a thing about metal detectors or detecting, the unit is intuitive and very beginner friendly. My son has used it a few times and he loves it.
Great service from the supplier after a few issues. The device is solid for the price and I’d recommend for people starting out to amateurs.
I bought this for my 8 year old grandson for Christmas and he loves it although it did take a bit of getting used to the different beeps and what they mean.
It was very simple to assemble and is light enough for him to use and although he hasn’t found any treasure yet he has found a few coins so heres hoping.
From what little I know of metal detecting I would say that this is certainly is good for beginners. It appears to be a nice bit of kit and does what it says on the tin. Haven’t found a Roman hoard yet, found plenty of nails, ring pulls, bits of discarded metal, but here’s hoping.

This one was purchased so that my eldest son could join me on these walks as he’s been watching aussie gold hunters and decided he was going to find some gold, so whilst i am under no illusions that it’s not going to happen, my son is happy enough to potter on with the vague notion that he may find something worth keeping.
The metal detector has all the basic bells and whistles you would expect from the level of detector including a nice basic LCD display, all metal modes, etc and also comes with a couple of accessories like the headphones and spade which are nice to carry around with him.
Whilst it’s not going to be the top end of the scale, it’s still a great starter piece of kit.
Easy to build and quite light to handle headphones are of good quality.
This detector is good all round for a beginner like me easy to sweep and instructions are easy to follow.
only thing now is to find treasure
It really works !! I’ve never used a metal detector before but always wanted one so thought i’d get this one because the price was decent. Just tested it in my garden and straight away it detected a piece of metal that was lying around hidden at first.
Would recommend for beginners like me. I am really looking forward to taking it on holiday and having fun with my 11 year old on the beach with it.
I bought this metal detector for my 14 year old boy.
We’ve only had it a day but have assembled it and tested it out.
Assembly was very quick and easy and it seems to work well.
Probably the correct choice for a beginner.
The detector comes with a case and a small metal spade, the only thing needed are x2 9volt batteries which can be purchased in most supermarkets and electrical / DIY stores.
The instructions are clear but it’s worth going on Ytube to watch footage of it being used correctly and to its full potential.
This detector by Sunpow, for me, is easier to understand and use. As well as having different sounds for different metals, you can see the different categories on the display.
The pin point accuracy is effective. You have to set a point on the head as a reference and the sound coupled with the display allows you to easily find the location of the metal detected.
I found it fairly easy to assemble and is very lightweight. I recommend it.
