Good low cost product with easy to use controls and it is able to keep you warm and helping to cut out the effects of cold draughts around ones feet.
Bought one last winter for my husband absolutely brilliant .in fact just got me one.
Lovely to snuggle under when watching tv and also warming the bed in the winte
A bit on the small side (120×160) so if you want more coverage, buy the bigger one.
Keeps me quite warm in bed. The first 30-40 I don’t feel much difference but the longer I stay with the warmer I feel.
Not so warm for desk working but better than not using it.
My cat loves it.
Love this, can’t wait for winter to kick in so I can use it properly. Temperature is perfect, timer great to set for as long as you need. A little bit weightier than a none heated throw/blanket. Size is perfect.
I bought this item ready for those cold winter evenings when watching TV & around the house. It will go over my lap on the settee plus over my shoulder walking room to room. & become my earnest partner ever xx
This was a gift for my girlfriend, who is always cold and was a god send during the winter with the price of gas going up. Realy good product well worth the price.
This is worth the money kept me warm all winter great service
Love this wrapped around my granddaughter who is happy asleep warm and cozy. Great Buy.
This is quite easy to operate and does the job of keeping you warm without being cumbersome.
Fabulously cosy blanket. Much better quality than other brands. Great for the price.
It was a present for my mother. She said it is big and does the job. Happy for it.
Love this. I take it away in my camper and no cold night spoils my sleep
Like most people we’d been suffering with a long and expensive winter for those heating bills. I bough one of these for the times when you can’t really warrant putting the heating on and I haven’t been disappointed. The blanket is really soft and warms up really quick. Not long and you are feeling nice and toasty. Definitely recommend.
Super useful blanket.
Positive: Keeps at nights warm.
System has got multiple warm settings and it has got a safety timer switch-automatically switch off after 8 hours.
Negative: You can feel wiring in the blanket and the blanket needs to be plugged into socket. Wiring is short.
The best electric blanket ever. Good size – covers a double bed, 2 medium dogs and a fat lady, with a little bit of hang-over. Controls go up to 9 on both heat and duration. Red velvety fabric on top, cream fleecy underneath. Plug + wire detaches for machine-washing. Not cheap but worth every penny.
We brought three of these to heat up the beds in the winter. They work well and quickly heat up the bed, we would not be without them, brought one for myself, daughter and grandmother. No issues at all would recommend.
Purchased this when the energy companies took all of our pants down and slapped our bottoms
This really is a superb electric blanket costing very little to run
It’s very soft and cosey
Made with quality materials
I would definitely recommend this blanke
We have already used it on our outside sofa in the cool evenings . So much better than our patio heaters and 90% less costly to run . Big enough to cover 3 people sitting next to each other .
Would recommend – the only thing I would improve would be a flight my longer power lead as it a little short so needs and extension lead to plug in outside .
Bought this for my daughter she absolutely loves it and she rang the other day to ask where I got it from as her work colleagues all want one!!
Great product every one fights over who is going to have it in the living room should really buy another but I’m to tight lol and as its mine I always get to have it when needed! If you have been thinking about getting one definitely do keeps heating costs down as just snuggle under this instead
This thow/blanket is fantastic. 3 different timers and loads of heat settings and it’s. MASSIVE. We loave getting under this and turning the heating off and yet wear still lovely and snug . We’ll worth investing in and not that expensive to use .
Got my daughter this she has used it everyday cheap to run looks and feels good and washes well and saves on the gas 🙂
This heat blanket fabric is very warm and when you turn on the power it is very warm. You can adjust heat to temperature you need Easy to store and use as well.
Love this blanket and so does my cat.I like that you can set both the time and heat levels. It is very soft and large enough to fully cover. Highly recommend and at a good price.
I absolutely love this blanket. I didn’t purchase it until the middle of winter so was kicking myself for not buying it sooner. It heats up quite quickly and if it’s underneath your duvet, the heat stays trapped keeping you warm even after it’s switched off. It fits my single bed perfectly and washes up well. I highly recommend this blanket.
But expected the orange colour but grey but will do the job
Really happy with my purchase the adapter to heat the blanket up stopped working and the company posted me a new one to which I have received and am so grateful the blanket is so fluffy and lovely and the customer service is excellent thank you
I bought 3 of these for my family to use on the sofa, in my house. I was not sure if they would get used to be honest. But they certainly do get used!
They are comfortable, warm up fairly fast. Easily controllable. I believe they are washable, but I have not tried that yet.
They get used daily in my house. And people that come to visit, they seem impressed with them and some have bought them, after trying my ones.
These are not the cheapest though, hopefully they will last a long time, to get the moneys worth.
Great little thing to have around. Especially if want to keep cost of central heating down, or if a storage heater wasn’t on the night before and the day suddenly turns chilly.
Great cosy feel even when not switched on.
Very very useful buy.
The cord can be detached for washing. Haven’t washed yet, but tried detaching the cord by pressing the 2 ‘slider’ buttons at the side, after a firm wiggle, the cord came apart and was easy to click back.
Heats up quite quickly- i tend to only use it on heat setting 4 or 5 as after 10 minutes that is quite warm. It is easy to use with on/off button, heat by numbers and there’s also a timer which i am yet to try. The blanket is very soft and i think would be fairly warm( due to quite thick material) without the heat on. Have bought 2 others for family and they are happy
Wanted something for my grandparents that was easy to use. The remote is so straight forward, literally on and off button and heat button that’s all. Blanket is so warm without even turning it on and so soft. When on it gets warm very quick and gets so cosy. I was testing it out for them and showing them how it works and I had accidentally fallen asleep in it as I was so warm and comfortable!
Lovely warm wrap, for those moments when you have got up and the heating isn’t on yet – or indeed, any moment when you need a bit of extra comfort.
Consisting of a soft velvety upper layer and a woolly lining, it has several graded heat/timer settings.
The smaller size is ample for one person, while the larger size is great for two on a sofa. Fits perfectly into most interiors. I have the red one – which is actually an attractive wine colour.
This heated blanket is marvellous! I bought the largest one – 180x200cm, and it keeps me snug as a bug in a rug daily for a tenth of the cost per hour of my ceramic heater – it only costs 4 or 5 pence per hour to run it.
It’s very soft and snuggly, I just put it over my lap whilst in the lounge and it keeps me toasty through the cold evenings. If it’s really cold I can pull it up-to my shoulders and I no longer feel the chill.
Given the cost of electricity and the low temperatures of recent days, can you really afford to be without one? Two thumbs up from me!
Soft, and great heat, have used this most days since I brought it, my only criticism is there was a tiny pluck in the grey sided material, which as you can see has just extended along the material, this doesn’t stop it working, just looking very untidy now and only 2 months old sadly
I decided it was time to try one of these heated blankets and after quite a search came upon this one. It was well priced and had good reviews so I ordered it. The blanket hasn’t disappointed at all, it’s soft and thick, the heating elements are well hidden internally to the extent they are barely noticeable in the material. The blanket heats up quite rapidly and I have found that the #1 setting is easily warm enough.
I’ve suffered with cold feet for years but this completely fixes the issue while sitting with the blanket over my feet and legs, I’ve founded it’s almost unnecessary to use the central heating in the evening due to how warm the blanket is.
Definitely a 10/10 recommendation for this product.
It arrived on time, is a very soft product BUT beware the white fleecy side leaves loads of fluff on clothes. My black jogging pants were covered! Control Unit easy to use but I didn’t notice a vast difference in temperatures between No. 4 and No. 9.
March23**EDIT: I contacted the seller via Amazon and they got back to me straight away! Offered 90% refund and no returns!
So I thought il send for a different one, reduces price! But lots more expensive!! It was AWFUL . So i have sent for another one of these it was on offer so i lost nothing and it comes within 24hours
*.**Unfortunately this has stopped heating up all around the edges. So just a central strip feels warm ish, after 5 month.
Was a pleasure to be warm and so cosy with this. I did think probably last a couple of years though. So disappointed
As the cold nights draw in and the fuel bills skyrocket I thought it was time to invest in a quality heated blanket. I didn’t really know anything about electric blankets as the last time I had one was 40 years ago, when they were about safe as laying on a bed of nails.
Thankfully times have changed and rigorous regulations mean electric blankets these days are a far more safer option. I splurged out on the Mia & Coco blanket (love the name – even sounds cosy ), which isn’t an under sheet blanket but an over one. This means you can wrap it around you whilst cocooned in a completely warm erm cocoon. It’s just a very normal soft blanket unlike the stiff electric blankets of yester year.
The outside is extremely satisfying to the touch. Sometimes you can touch a really soft material and it has very unpleasant feeling that makes your fingernails tingle. Not the case here – It’s so soft it feels like you’re touching a cloud.. The inside it’s kind of like a fleecy material which is equally as soft. The cord which is attached to a standard UK plug is thankfully long enough so you can watch tv on the sofa without it tugging away at you with a short cord. You can also pull out the cord to make it into a normal blanket.
There’s 2 controls, one for the heat , and one for the timer (useful if you don’t want to wake up at 4 in the morning boiling hot). The heating setting goes up to 9 – which in my opinion is far too hot ( a good thing !). I usually have it around 4 or 5, which is perfect.
The great thing about this is , you can lay it on top of your bed (I have a really thick quilt), and it warms up the entire bed including the mattress (This blanket comfortable covers about 2/3 of a double bed). So no need for an under sheet electric blanket, or a hot water bottle.
I washed the blanket (recommends 30 degrees on a gentle wash ), but I put it on a a 40 degrees aggressive sports wash with a 1200 spin, and it still works fine. I’d still stick with the gentler wash though for longevity!
I ended up buying 2 as I was so impressed. I’ve got it on now while typing this review, with the central heating off, and I’m so cosy and warm, and saving money.
Electric blankets have certainly moved on!
I don’t normally review my amazon purchases but I just had to let you know how great this heated blanket is.
With the increase in energy costs I have turned down my central heating and now use this heated blanket to keep me warm whilst sat on the sofa working on my computer during the day and watching TV with my wife on an evening. It is big enough for both of us to use at the same time.
It is very quick to heat up and after a few minutes my wife throws it off as she is getting too hot 🙂
I am sat here now writing this review with the blanket over my body as the living room is only 17 degrees, it is not plugged in and within a minute or so I was warm and toasty. When I put my hands under the blanket I can feel the radiant heat trapped in there …. and that’s without the heat switched on!!!!
My wife and I love this blanket and use it daily … It’s great and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
OMG, how have I not bought one of these before! Got this when my heating packed up for a few weeks and I was freezing! I didn’t want an electric blanket to use at night as that won’t warm me up during the day (unless I go back to bed!), but this seemed the better solution. It’s lovely and soft, like a fleecy material – grey on one side, cream on the other. You can feel the wiring running through it, but not so it bothers you when you’ve got it over you. It comes with an electric lead which you can unplug from the blanket if you don’t want to use it as a heated throw. The lead has a controller on it where you can turn the heat up or down by different heat levels – 9 being the highest. It warms up super quick and once tucked up underneath it on a 9 level I was so toasty I didn’t want to move! Couple of niggles though – where you plug it in on the blanket feels quite heavy when you’ve got the plug in and I found myself getting tangled up in the cord when I wanted to get up or sit down. As it’s not very big, I found it was easier to have the power cord up the top which helped with this, but if I turned it round and had it by my feet it did get in the way! It is more of a single size, if I turned it round lengthways me and my husband could just about get under it if we snuggled together! It was good value for money and quite efficient energy wise, costing a lot less to run than what I thought it would (certainly cheaper than having the heating on!) Really happy with this, but need to buy another two so we can all have one!
My fave thing about this heated blanket is the fact that it’s pretty warm even when not plugged in and this is due to the fact that it has fleece on one side.
My son was always taking my electric blanket when we lived in the same house and not a lot has changed!!! Now he has his own place he had the nerve to take mine home with him unbeknownst to me, well that was until it got cold and I couldn’t find it. Soon found out it was boyo and I demanded it back. So I decided to get his own for Christmas
The one I had was not in stock which is just as well as I got him this one instead. It’s much better than mine.
It’s warm, snuggly, easy to operate, heats up super fast and pretty good quality too. Although if crumpled it can affect the heat coverage
This blanket is mostly everything id expect from a decent heated blanket
My sons been using it daily since Christmas and he loves it and his only complaint is that it could have been bigger. He is 5.10″ and it doesn’t cover his whole body fully but says it’ll do! I wish I’d gone for a larger size
It can be washed. I’d recommend a cool wash and obviously disconnect the cable and make sure it’s throughly dried before reconnecting
In terms of longevity I’ll have to wait and see. I’ve had mine for over 3 years and it’s still going strong. This is my expectation of this one too!
Purchased two of these products, for my wife and daughter. Was unsure at first as they seemed on the pricier side to what they were previously offered at, but given the present situation I am not surprised. The products themselves are really lovely, with plenty of scope for setting temp. and timer, and easy to use. Got the larger size which is like a small double, but perfectly adequate. The best thing about these are the fact you can wrap them directly around you, unlike heated under and over blankets, and these are of course much more softer. I have given 4 stars overall as I don’t yet know what the longevity of the product is like. Hopefully they will last a long time. Would definitely recommend these though, with the added bonus of being very cheap to ru
Is very soft and warm without being switched on.
Heat output is good, but is a bit patchy.
It works well for me as I’m the only one that uses it, but wouldn’t be as good if I was sharing it as wouldn’t be able to hog the most heated bits.
I do find I need it on maximum to be efficient enough to warm me.
It was reduced when I purchased so that meant we kept it and it was also extremely cold so didn’t want to be without one at all.
I’ve never had one before so nothing to compare to.
I would recommend if you would be using it as I do, and at the reduced price I paid for it.
This was an early Christmas present for my mother and we were one of the lucky ones who paid in their 60s rather than the Christmas prices for our blanket. A friend bought this for her mum and she said it was a game changer and it sure is! My mum has arthritis and a host of other conditions which make it important for her to stay warm. This is fantastic and mum loves it. She uses it all the time and doesn’t really need to heat the rest of the house as long as she has her blanket with her. Its been good for her joints and she is in less pain than she usually is over winter. Her only complaint is the heat does not reach the extremes of the blankets keeping her toes chilly.
Bought two of these, both working perfectly, look great. Seem to be decent quality so far.
I’ve been able to turn the heating off in the bedroom, this set to low keeps me toasty warm all night. Often when your cold the body concentrates the heat in its core meaning fingers and toes can get cold. With this because my core is lovely and warm my fingers and toes all feel normal as if the rooom were hot, it’s between 12C and 15C in here but it feels like 21C+. I’d bern running a 1kw fire, sometimes up to 2kw, that’s reduced to about 60w, that’s a huge saving, I hope I can keep that up, my bill might not make me cry!
Some people have said some daft things on here, let’s see if I can answer a few points. Can you feel the wires.of course you can but they’re thinner than straws and very flexible, you’re never going to vanish them away. Do you get hot spots. To a degree (ha!) yes you do, y that’s not bad, it’s just the way it works, if your absorbing the heat that bit is going to be cooler to the touch than a spot that didn’t touch you. It’s not dangerous, it’s just physics! You’re not being robbed of warmth by a bad bit, you absorbed the heat there, that means it’s working fine. (Obviously if it’s glowing red or ridiculously hot, not just toasty warm that might be a fault)
Oh and on the point of faults. Amazon are responsible for all sales, if you do get a faulty one, god forbid, it is them that must refund you, don’t deal with the manufacturer or “seller” deal with Amazon, you paid them the money. This has to do with money laundering laws too. So don’t get fobbed off.
I’d recommend this, if it saves the kind of money it can do over the winter I don’t care if it only lasts a year. It might last 2 or 3. Personally I’m not going to keep it past that, the older they get the less reliable they are, that’s just a general fact about these devices. It will have saved many times it’s cost price so I can’t complain.
I almost forgot, it’s super soft a wool effect underneath and a velvet effect on top.
One last thing, don’t run it on high, you don’t need it. It raises your temperature gently, you can start off on high to get warm quickly but turn it down. I run mine on 3. Not only does that save energy, it stops you overheating, it’s not healthy to be that hot, just mind your setting and reduce it as you warm up.
