It was a replacement for our last miela cat and dog, which we had for 25 years. It’s not as good quality it feels a bit more flimsy, but still a high quality vacuum and it picks up brilliantly, time will tell if it lasts as long as the last one.
An absolute power pack that sucks carpet into its mouth to clean up any mess. This is my second one and I even more delighted than with the first one I bought many years ago.
I have had the same Meile cylinder hoover for over 20 years and it is still going strong. I bought this for my new job and it is as expected and more. Great to have the different settings of suction, I would definitely recommend.
We had a Dyson V10 cordless which just didn’t have the power, then tried a Shark corded but that was so heavy it hurt after using for a while. So far this works great, unbelievable suction, it lifts the carpet, lino and even laminate! It does use bags but includes a voucher for free bag or discount on larger order. Happy so fa
After having a Sebo, I wasn’t sure if this would be as good. But it’s just as good possibly better. Some of the negative reviews on here don’t seem accurate. The hoover has a plastic bumper on it so it’s not easily scratched and it has a slot on the side to push the longer hoover tube into to hold it up.
Has really shown up all the hoovers I have ever used. Very powerful and great with pet hair (I have a cat and dog) and my carpets look so much better now.
It is fairly heavy but I find it’s worth it for the power. The cord is plenty long enough and the handle extends far which is great for high ceilings.
I was able to order the free Miele Hoover bags no problem and also really recommend them as they last ages.
Lots of great quality of life features, everything functions well, good quality materials. It is also makes very little noise, especially on the lower settings, I was probably getting hearing damage from my old Dyson!
We had the previous model for 15 years and to be honest we used it for some quasi industrial level cleaning. The new one is lighter and possibly not built as well but it cleans very well, has all the bits you need and is about 2/3 the cost of its predecessor. I wouldn’t put it through what the old one did but as a purely home cleaner it is significantly better than the Dyson products we’ve had. We have had numerous brands such as karcher, Henry and shark and they are all good, but for general house duties the suction and lightness of this model make it an overall good, not as good as the old one, but good product.
I have had Miele hoover for years when it broke
We have got a dog since then and I thought my carpet was clean till I started to use this one
Best cleaner ever especially for pet hair. This is a replacement for a previous one that lasted 15 years of heavy use
No frills – but lightweight and powerful
great for all surfaces especially carpeted stairs !
Powerful and easy to use. Inhales dust and debris like a dream.
Last year I bought a cordless Dyson Absolute because of recommendations from many sources. Reader, let me tell you it won’t pick up even a grain of rice. I fought, I moaned but eventually concluded the wretched thing was useless. I decided to revert to a corded machine and chose the Miele. All I can say is it works brilliantly. It is powerful and easy to use. The tools are stored within the body so always on hand when you spot an errant cobweb.
The bags hold loads of dust. I have had the vacuum for six weeks and haven’t yet had to replace a bag. That’s after vacuuming every other day.
In short it is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned.
…and this one is just as fantastic as the other 2 we’ve owned over the years. This actually replaced the larger cat and dog version we had…it was only larger due to the fact you could fit the extra cleaning nozzles inside the cleaner. This new version, being compact, means the 3 extra cleaning nozzles sit on a little holder at the front of the cleaner, which I actually find easier to use, as you just pick the one you want and use it, instead of opening the cleaner to get access. In fact it was the access for on the old model that broke, so was one of the reasons we got this new one. This version is also a lot lighter and quieter. Would recommend!!
Suction is very powerful ,fast delivery from amazon.Highly recommend!
This is my 3rd ‘Cat & Dog’ and I am still delighted with its performance
The power suction Is brilliant a button to slide up and down for the pressure, low to high and on high is very powerful , a lovely looking hoover love it thank you
Sorry Dyson . You were a good friend and loyal but you just didn’t stay on form . Miele has got the edge by far . Excellent product quality , feels and behaves solid. Diction is unbelievable and flat carpets now have a bounce back . Don’t get me wrong there is probably better out there somewhere , but this is perfect for my house not too big or bulky , easy to operate and much more cleaning power than I imagined it would have . If it were a plane it would be an airbus .
I was recommended by my cleaner years ago that Miele were the best vacuum cleaners on the market. I have never looked back!
Had vax bag less a long time ago and a gtec with no end of problems so had a good think and decided I was fed up with the bag less cordless lightest weight rubbish that doesn’t get the best results and can be unreliable. I have used Miele years ago as a cleaner in people’s own homes so looked and found this blue junior Miele, suction is very powerful and believe me it’s shocking what these new style hoovers miss, another good thing about the Miele Junior is it is lighter than the other models so makes it easier, love this Miele junior, fast delivery from Amazon also bought hoover bags from Amazon, sometimes the more traditional hoovers are best it’s worth a few extra minutes and even an extension plug cord if need be, if you want satisfaction that the house is clean Miele is my first choice also note I have pets and will put picture on as I have cut open the bag to show exactly what I’m talking abou
Good hoover works well on carpet and hard floor, the suction is a bit much though even when turned down, if you’re a skinflint like me and we’re planning to tip out the bag and re use it, it’s. Not possible!
Miele c1- Fabulous looking & does the job admirably. Cord a little short, nowt an extension won’t sort. Love it
Well Made & hopefully last a good while. Bag in place & easy to assemble. DLW XXX
Really light and mobile around the house, on hard and carpetted surfaces. Only quibble is the rather short plug lead, but there are plenty of points around the house, and shifting the plug from one place to another while hoovering is hardly worth moaning about.
Really good vacuum. This is the only brand for me. Beats others by a mile. Only complaint is that I was supposed to get a free pack of bags worth 13.99, but have not been able to get them. Code on the attached label did not work. Rang Miele and they dispatched some, but these did not arrive so all a bit disappointing from a company which I have recommended to countless friends for vacuum cleaners. Would have been much easier if the free bags were enclosed in the original box.
I cannot sing the praises of this hoover enough. Two years ago my husband bought a very expensive horrible folding cordless Shark. I have two children and a cat so hair, food and general debris is everywhere. I would have to pick bits out of the carpet and feed it to the hoover. I hoovered three or four times a day but still couldn’t get all the debris out.
As soon as the Miele arrived I put it to work. The suction is amazing, it was making light work of what the Shark struggled with. I have a small three bed home and I filled the first bag in an hour with all the bits the Shark had left behind. I was very pleased (if not a little ashamed!) to see just how much the Miele picked up. I also did a spot check with a flashlight and the strands of hair that the Shark could never manage to pick up were gone. The turbo head was the reason I chose this version of the C3 hoover and it was worth the extra money. It was easy enough to manoeuvre up the stairs and the length of the cord meant that I didn’t need to stop halfway through and plug it in upstairs. I debated for a long time before getting this hoover but I’m very glad I did.
Performs just as claimed, excellent; but at the price it should be good. Again at over 300 you would have thought that some replacement dust bags would be included – they’re not! Very cheap attitude. The bags don’t take long to fill, this is probably an indicator of performance but I got caught out; not having replacement bags with the device when purchased and no local supplier, I’m waiting for Amazon to deliver some so I can get my house clean again. Poor customer relations attitude, Miele.
I love that you can really control the suction and you have 5 levels to choose from. I change this depending on if I’m vacuuming my curtains (extra light), turkish rugs (light), wooden floor (medium – which is also a quiet setting) and the fitted carpets that tend to get covered in dog hair quickly (strong suction).
I should have purchased the model with the pet hair attachment, it works so much better than the standard floor attachment. So I purchased this afterwards and I’m going to purchase a small pet hair attachment for doing the stairs.
I can tell this is a really well built vacuum, simple to use, the waste bags are thick and strong. When you change the bags, there is literally no dust in the bag chamber as I’ve found with previous cheaper vacuums. That’s how strong the filtration is. I highly recommend this vacuum and would definitely purchase again.
I had a Miele vacuum prior to this and it sadly died one day but not due to the harsh terrain it had to deal with – 5 adults, a dog, 4 cats, chickens, rabbits and the rest – but because someone forgot to pull out all the cable when using it, it got too hot and blew the engine. And that warning was in the manual, so not Miele’s fault. Our cleaner had battled away and given a stellar result for over ten years. BUT these cleaners are unbreakable if you use them properly and are designed to give 20 years of service which I (and some friends who also have Mieles) can certainly agree with.
The Germans know how to do engines and machinery and Miele are market leaders for a reason. After having bought one I’ll never buy another brand. For the slight increase in cost, overall you’re getting a machine that will last and will never reduce in performance over those years.
So this new to me model was a slight upgrade on my last – and wow. So quiet, even on the highest setting! I haven’t been able to use it at anything higher than the 3rd speed of 6 because the 3rd is giving me so much suction power there’s no need. It reassures me that there’s plenty more power to use should I need it. Fantastic.
It’s not especially light but that to me is a good thing as there’s some serious machinery tucked away inside it and it gives it some solidity to it, so it’s stable and won’t go flying off anywhere on its own. Even with this, you can trust Miele to attach the most smooth and slippery castors so manoeuvrability is top notch. It’s extremely easy to move and with 8.50m of cable length there’s a lot less need to go back and forth to unplug and plug in to different spots around the house. Really useful touch.
This model comes with both a standard head and an amazing turbo head (both suck at full power right up to the edges of their heads unlike some cleaners – so nice to not have to get out the crevice tool for this type of thing!) which I never had before that really beats the carpet with its internal roller head and brings up more dirt, especially hair which can sometimes be hard to get hold of. Cleaning it is a bit of a faff – you have to cut through the hair with scissors to get it off the roller – I think Miele should look at finding a way around this but for now I can live with it. Watch out with the turbo brush though, it literally sucks in everything it gets close to (including your own hair) so don’t raise it off the ground if you use it, Miele warn very clearly about this.
This cleaner also comes with a mini turbo head brush so you can use the same power brush action to lift up dirt on awkward jobs like stairs or carpets in cars and it works exactly the same as the large turbo brush.
Another upgrade for me from my last model is that all the parts are now kept tucked away in the body of the cleaner whereas before they balanced on the outside of it. I really like that. Nice and tidy and accessible.
Finally, Miele have simplified the way the cleaner is used, from the foot operated buttons to switch it on and off, on the opposite side the button to retract the cable (literally one tap will bring the whole length in rather than you having to stand on the button until it’s finished), at a glance lights illuminating which suction level you’re using, the click system to attach heads and extensions, the sliding mechanism to extend the cleaner arm (so easy! so smooth!), even the sliding vent in the arm moves well too. As before the bag replacement operation is a doddle and clean to do (some cleaner manufacturers’ bags give you a puff of dirt as you remove the bag but Miele bags have a little flap that stops that – aren’t they the best?!), filter replacement is simple and when it’s job is done, you can pack your cleaner away either flat with the arm slotted in at the base of the unit or even upright and the arm slotted into the side of the unit.
If you buy this Miele cleaner or probably any of them you won’t be disappointed!
Oh one more thing, for a vacuum cleaner, it’s also a beautiful looking item. Very sleek, stylish and modern! Enjoy!
