Good for training, its a bit heavier and tougher than other balls, if you are used to more expensive and light footballs you will find it harder to get used to it but its good for basic training sessions, would not recommend it for a match ball
The Mitre Impel L30P Football is a reliable choice for casual play. Its durable build can withstand regular use on various surfaces. The size and weight are suitable for all ages but mainly used for kids Under 11.
However, it may not provide the same performance as high-end match balls. Ideal for recreational games and practice, offering decent durability and value for its price point.
Good ball, it bounces nicely and flies straight. I bought it for my son who’d borrowed another Impel and loved it.
My only gripe is the colour and pattern didn’t match the pictures.
Do yourself a favour and avoid Sports Direct footballs. One kick and we burst it but no so for this Mitre football. This ball is well made and feels great on the boot.
The Mitre is the one ball I’ve purchased that does not deflate after a week of usage.
I’ve had one at home and one for each of my grandsons. None has punctured or lost pressure quickly.
My grandson practises shooting endlessly for months with it using the excellent Forza garden goal.
Very pleased with it. I’ve bought Nike Academy, Optimum Classico in the past, all lost pressure within days.
Purchased for my son, who has already had much use out of it. Arrived deflated, and is easy to pump up. Good quality, and the surface of the ball has held up well so far. Would recommend.
Not too bad for the money, but not as heavy as a usual match ball so better for practice matches or younger kids who needs a size 5.
Was also described as a pack of five and only one ball arrived. Amazon have been made aware twice and left the listing as a pack of 5.
The Impel range are Mitre’s lowest standard of foobball. That’s not to say that they are terrible by any means, but there is a noticeable drop in quality in comparison to their Ultramatch and Delta range which makes sense considering the price difference.
The mechanical stitching of the leather is the first thing that stands out. These balls aren’t designed to last very long before beginning to peel. 2-3 months of regular use will see them fall apart.
The ball is on the lighter/hollower side compared to something like the Delta. This can make the ball a bit harder to control and can also affect power and accuracy due to weaker wind resistance.
Although the ball is round enough to roll fine on dry, trimmed surfaces. It isn’t perfectly round and may be prone to getting caught up on tougher or wet surfaces.
All and all, it’s a cheap ball that’s good enough for a kick around with mates and is perfectly serviceable for training sessions at an amateur team level.
For more serious level training, you should be looking at the Delta range of balls which are put together better in every way using superior materials. Be prepared to pay considerably more however.
