In these days when you don’t want to give your hard earned cash to the greedy power companies this luxurious heated overblanked is a god send.
Cheap to run.
Nice and warm, sitting on the sofa watching TV snuggled up with a loved one.
I’ve bought a few more for friends and relatives as they are at a great price too.
It’s super soft, big, very warm, heats very quickly (actually have to turn down the temperature). Easy to use.
Not sure how it will impact my energy bills but surely its cheaper than heating the room to that level of comfort.
The only things to improve would be
1. where the plug is fitted on the throw, a bit in the way
2. The remove is very big and looks a little outdated.
But overall I’m delighted with my purchase
I bought this as a Christmas present for my daughter. Her little lounge has no radiator. She said it is “Absolutely fantastic! Honestly Mum- it’s brilliant!” I thought it was a bit expensive to be honest, in comparison with others, but it has been so successful, it was worth it.
I get cold a lot due to chronic illness and this has helped tremendously. It warms up quickly and most of the time I don’t actually need it turned on. If it’s on my bed and I’m really cold I set it to heat for the first hour or so then it’ll turn off due to timer function. Perfect!
With the cold spell we had it really kept me warm in bed
Very economical. I kept my central heating at 11c all winter and used a desiccant dehumidifier for an hour each night to keep my towels dry. Sitting in my living room would have been too cold but the blanket kept me very comfortable at a cost of about 0.02 per hour. Saved over a thousand pounds and will be doing the same next winter. Heat only the room that you are in or better – use this blanket.
The price had gone up due to increased demand but maybe it has stabilised now.
This is absolutely lovely. Very soft and after buying for my Mum she has noticed everyone wants it, even the grandchildren want to steal it!
Enjoyed last winter with this lovely warm soft blanket, helping me save my bills. The power cable recently developed a fault but has been replaced with new one without too much hassle. Excellent communications and services from the seller. Highly recommended.

One of our best purchases so far. The blanket is lightweight, soft, easy to move around and covers two people without a problem. Saved our energy bill to go over the top during winter as we managed to keep the central heating off we had the blanket to cover ourselves, during the day as I work from home as well as at night time, when me and my partner lie down in the sofa to watch TV.
Does what it says, stays warm for a long time after turning off so pleased the wife when I told her we had to turn the heating down 🙂
The best measure of a company is not what they do when things are going right but how they handle things when they go wrong. Purchased this blanket 18 months ish ago for my Dad and he loves it. The control panel recently failed and a replacement panel was sent out no fuss. Would definitely buy from them agai
These are great blankets and we’ve purchased 3.
The remote for one became faulty after several month. We knew it was the remote because the blanket still worked if we used it with one of the other remotes.
In contrast to what other reviews have suggested, we contacted the supplier directly who replied the following day and organised a replacement without any fuss.

This heated throw is exactly what we were looking for and it does the job perfectly. What I like about it is that it has a digital controller and it keeps heated up for up to 9 hours. However it is not recommended to have it on for that length of time as the controller itself can get very hot which isn’t good? But generally speaking apart from that it is a fantastic product and it works reasonably well.
Mother always complains how it is cold in the house and blankets don’t do much for her, I saw this and thought of her instantly, turns off if she falls asleep can even take it on road trips with a adapter I bought her, I recommend this mostly for older people and disabled people like my mother and my self and yes for others that just get cold, I might get one of these my self once I walm back up thank you for this
Does the job but not as good as the Silent Night ones you can buy
Bought one each for my wife and I when energy prices went up and have to say they are a revelation. Our lounge is either stifling hot or chilly at ground level and our electric blankets made it such that a sensible room temperature but warm knees could both be enjoyed. Like a pair of old dears, but we care not a jot. We did have an issue with the controller on one and it was replaced promptly and with help from Hassan who also deserves a shout out.
If you’re looking for a cosy experience and keeping yourself warm during winter, you may want to consider buying this product.

So soft ant cosy, what’s up so fast and keeps you very warm. Size could have been slightly bigger for the price. But still a nice blanket no shedding either like a lot of fury blankets have.
Update: after posting this review, I received an offer to replace the controller. I have therefore moved the rating from 1 star to 3. If I receive a new controlled and it works as it should, I will adjust the rating again.
Update 2: replacement controller very promptly received. I’ve revised the rating from 3 to 4.
One of the two has a fault with it’s controller so will not power up. This is just ten days after purchase. I have reached out to the support email address but have had nothing useful back yet.
I am still in my return window with Amazon so may still end up returning. Such a shame there are so many of these heated throw blankets that end up with faulty electronics.
After rereading the more recent reviews, I now doubt the quality of the electronics. Lots of others report the same issue.
Edit: Support replied after a long wait and sent out replacement electronics, this rating increased to 4 stars – it’s a nice blanket.
Wow. I bought this for my wife to keep her a little cosier when working at her desk (our home office is a little chilly at times), and the warmth this generates is incredible.
The fabric is warm in itself. Very indulgent. Put the heat on, and before you know it you want to curl up and do nothing for the rest of the day………so comfortable. If I had to add a negative, it would have to be that it’s too nice and I can see us buying more for family and friends ahead of the next winter.
I’m pleased I don’t have one – I’d never get off of the sofa again!

Bought this for my Dad. The blanket is a good size, soft, warm and comfortable even without turning it on. I am told by my Dad the temperature controls are easy to use and it provides good warmth. Cheaper than heating a room, heat yourself using the blanket instead!
This is a good product so far but having just had a bad experience trying to return other faulty electronics to Amazon I hope this doesn’t go wrong too. Not happy with Amazon ‘customer service’ recently and having to speak to a chatbot for 40 minutes before I get through to an actual person who can help is not how I want to spend my weekend.
The white ‘woolly’ side of the blanket sheds white bits of fluff which is a little annoying when you are wearing all black. I assume it will get less as it ages.
I like the fact it is more lightweight than the other heated throw I have so it is easier to wear around the shoulders.
I love that this size is big enough for two although I use it for my office as it covers my chair as well as my whole body. The temperature control is good as you have 7 heat options plus a low and high option and you can have it set to be on from 1 to 9 hours. It also washable and can go in the machine (not tumble dryer) which to brilliant.
I did develop a fault with the cable as it stopped working after about 11 months of use. However I contacted Monhouse and dealt with Hassan. Hassan went through the guide on how to use the blanket so as not to damage it, the instructions do tell you things like not to wrap the cable etc which I always follow. Hassan then arranged a replacement cable for me as I was still within warranty, which arrived quickly. Hassan was great and provided me with a fox and great customer service.
I’m now back to being warm in my office without having to use a cable from one of my other Monhouse blankets.
They are soft and cosy, even without being switched on and plenty big enough (you could probably drape one single over 2 small-medium adults sitting together if you didn’t want to be totally wrapped!)
Importantly for my parents the control is easy to use – quite simple, easy to see and to hold. I might have preferred a lighter colour which was out of stock but am now pleased I got these as will be easier to keep clean by wiping down. Although machine washable I think it may be a bit of a faff to remove the electrical switch part.
I did a lot of research before buying to ensure safety protection (electrical and overheating) and CE compliant as always best to go with EU standards (for which the UK has always previously had considerable input!)
Prices are rising ridiculously at the moment due to demand but still I’m pleased i got something useful, snuggly and that looks good quality.
So I got this blanket to drape over myself on colder days, and it really does work.
One thing is, it can take quite a long time to actually heat up, but when it does, it’s really nice and warm.
The inside of the house is dropping to around 15C most days and with this, I’ve yet to put the heating on. With the cost of gas these days, it’s probably already paid itself off in energy savings.
So glad I did! It is so soft and warm even before you plug it in. In fact I use it as an extra cover on my bed when it is switched off
I cover my legs with it primarily as I haven’t yet put the Central Heating on and the top half of my body is already kept warm by wearing a Blanket Hoodie.
It warms up really quickly when switched on and I was surprised at to just how warm it gets. My legs and feet are very grateful!
I highly recommend getting one if you want to keep yourself warm while watching TV if you have decided to keep the Central Heating off for as long as possible.
I have been reassured that it is considerably cheaper than putting on the heating and it feels very comforting which for me justified the initial cost
I have the one with the fleece on the inside and I highly recommend that one. Even if it means waiting a month for it like I did
The controls are easy and the blanket heats up quickly.
The blanket is heavier and bulkier than I had expected – but i shouldn’t really have been surprised as it is exactly as described. IMO it would be easier to use on a sofa than on a chair. Personally, I would not buy this for someone who is frail to use in a chair due to the bulk of it, making it a little difficult to lift off to get in and out of the chair. A smaller size would be more manageable.
I’ve not yet tried it on the bed.
I was a little disappointed that although it IS washable, this is not recommended and it is prefered
that it is surface washed with a cloth dipped in detergent then wiped off again with a clean cloth.
Also, it is recommended that the blanket is not bunched up at all.
As I should have realised, the plug is on one corner of the blanket and you may wish to consider this. If the lead is at shoulder height, it is on the right. I am currently using it with the lead on the bottom left corner as this is nearer to the electric socket.
Despite these slight disadvantages, I AM DELIGHTED WITH MY PURCHASE. The warmth and cosiness is pure joy!
PS I have now used it on the bed, over the duvet. As you can imagine, it took a while for the heat to work its way through but was fabulous once it got there. It would have been more sense to put it on before going to bed but I was cold when I woke in the night so popped it on then.
I wish I had seen all the reviews complaining about the control panel and lack of customer service.
I’m finding it impossible to get in touch with either Amazon or the company to highlight the problem and get a refund.
Update After many weeks I finally made contact with the company.
They pointed out that the control panel should not be allowed to get covered up . The reason being the panel gets overheated and breaks.
My box did not contain those instructions neither is it pointed out on the label attached to my blanket. I wasn’t aware that maybe this had happened.
I have been sent a new control panel and this is working fine at the moment.
Needless to say I will take great care to make sure the control panel is not trapped under the folds of the blanket. Thankfully the blanket itself has been kept in pristine condition and wasn’t given to my dogs . It nearly happened. Moral of the story never give up hoping the company will get in touch all things are possible
My only concerns are that it is listed as watching washable and even shows a short video of someone putting in a washing machine – however instructions don’t seem so keen on this a say wipe clean. I actually purchased this because it stated machine washable.
100% a great investment- particularly with the current energy prices.
I am disabled and bought this for pain more than anything and so it is literally used all day and night long- every single day. It heats up in seconds and maintains temperature.
Controls are easy to use and after a few days you get used to the cord being attached- I find it easiest to keep this at the top right hand side.
Be careful not to let the blanket double over or bunch up on itself to where the internal wires would overheat- or leave sitting on top something that could be heated up and cause you to burn yourself on bare skin (careful with zips etc- the top temp is really hot if using continuously!) Timer works well.
Super comfortable for using on the sofa, or sleeping with- last winter I never used a duvet at all (or heating) as this blanket was much cosier, even once turned off!
The wires are channeled, so the blanket keeps it’s shape and the quality is good, so there isn’t a risk of wires being exposed.
It washes well. I use gel capsules in the drum and Unstoppables, and also toss in the tumble dryer- no issues at all. The cream shearling side has flattened somewhat a bit over time- but I do use this significantly more than most people likely would!
When not turned on, sometimes the blanket can seem a little more stiff as the wiring is a little more obvious then, but as soon as you switch it on it immediately softens the whole blanket (can do this and turn back off in a few minutes and will stay softer still for ages too)
I would recommend choosing this style of blanket over a mattress underblanket if you are undecided. While this can’t be slept on top of- you can simply lay this on top of the bedsheet with the duvet on top to heat up before getting in, then use on top to stay warm in bed. And you can also use in other areas around the house and share with others. Best of both worlds!
