    Really simple but good piece of kit. I wasn’t sure at first when seeing the sceen size compared to other available models but it’s actually quite useful, as it doesn’t take up too much space but does the job well.

    The zoom in function on the model as shown in the photos I have included (cuddly toys included as little one isn’t here yet!) is great – it’s really clear and you don’t see a massive drop in photo quality or anything like that when you zoom in.

    It’s also all really self explanatory. I didn’t really need to look at the instructions besides understanding how long it needs to charge for (btw not very long).

    The sound comes through really clearly too (used husband chatting in other room as practice!). Would highly recommend.

    Zoom is brilliant and sound really clear!

    Great baby monitor from Motorola. This is one of those products that makes parenting a little easier, and I feel like a total pro when I use it.

    The first thing you’ll notice about this monitor is its sleek design. It’s sleek enough that it doesn’t look like an eyesore on your nightstand or dresser, but it’s also sturdy enough to stand up to any abuse from little ones. The monitor itself has a nice weight to it, so if you have a baby who likes to throw things around when they’re fussy or just trying out their new coordination skills, this monitor will hold up just fine.

    And then there are the features! Night vision! Volume control! Temperature monitoring! Sound level indication! Everything you need in order to get the best night’s sleep and make sure your little one is okay while they’re sleeping too.

    I love having the option of being able to check on my daughter when she wakes up at night (or even just looking at her sleeping peacefully) without having to go into her room every time and with the infrared night vision feature on this monitor, I can do just that. This has been especially helpful since we moved into our new house earlier this year: now I don’t have to worry about waking he

    Picked this up for a friend who has just had a baby and they have said that it is a game changer! totally loved having the ability to see the baby clearly, even when its dark. A great cost effective way to put their minds at rest being new parents.

    We have never used wifi monitoring systems and have a 360 camera at home but we needed a monitor to check our toddler when at family homes or even when away. This seemed like a good option and with Motorola being a good name, you expect good quality.

    The monitor itself is ok. I’d say the picture quality isn’t as good as our 360 camera and that one cost less! But it does do the job and is clear enough to see when our little man is on the move! It has a good range on it and the night vision is ok. The monitor is easy to set up and you can adjust the volume as well as zoom in but again, as this is a fixed camera, it doesn’t do as well as our 360 one!

    I don’t really get the mood lighting effect and just find it’s a distraction than an actual help but some may find different. I would say this is what you’d expect to pay for a budget monitor but I find considering the brand name, this one lacks the details that some cheaper ones have that aren’t branded. I have found that monitors are very much hit and miss, what works well for one family, doesn’t necessarily work for another and as this will be our back up monitor, it works for that need. However, I’d not buy this as our primary monitor of a baby or toddler!

    This is a very good, and nice and simple baby monitor set. The camera is easy to place, allowing you to monitor the temp of the babies room, hear your baby along with a noise level monitor and of course, see your baby. Good solid picture during the day a d good night vision too. The monitor is also easy to set up and use and allows you to switch from normal to night mode. The camera has various mood lighting if that’s something your looking for too. Digital zoom means you can really keep a close eye on the small human too!

    Good product, no subscription costs, straight forward to set up and use.

    Good value for a basic baby video monitor which requires no WiFi, easy to set up and adjust, just plug and go.

    Screen size is adequate for us and the picture is fine, quite basic but is does what we need it to do. Has a tempreture gauge and night vision which is actually really good. Sound is crystal clear, picks up everything.

    I reccomend for any expecting parents for safety and peace of mind.

    So the description states this is a:-
    Motorola nursery VM482ANXL, Video baby monitor, camera, infrared night vision – high sensitive microphone ~ white/silver.

    I have some cameras that turned into our WiFi so watch them on out mobiles or ipads etc But sometimes it’s easy to have the camera on the screen front of you at all times.

    So glad these have now extra security because the ones like 20 years ago you could be picking up a neighbours voice that’s quite spooky when you think it’s your little one crying and it isn’t.
    Thankfully we have not had any problems.

    Used recently also to keep an eye on the teenager who had covid and was really quite ill. I could check on them constantly without disturbing, plus check room temp for them and they could talk and call me if needed.
    That alone was worth it’s weight in gold.

    *** On the monitor its has:-
    * Menu button
    * OK button
    * Navigation keys
    * Volume control
    * Zoom

    * 2.8 inch colour display with digital zoom,
    * Multi colour mood light
    * Rechargeable
    * Room temperature monitoring
    * Up to 1000ft / 300m range
    * Infrared night vision
    * Microphone
    * Secure and private connection
    * LED-sound level indicator
    * When the battery is running low, you will receive an alert telling you it is time to charge the device.

    The price at the time of this review is 64, which could be a high price compared to some but I’m pleased with how it’s helped and helping us give me peace of mind.

    So far so good
    But I will update this review if needed.

    I’ve tried a few baby monitors over the years, and have always found Motorola to be superior to BT. BT monitors often break within a few months, whereas the Motorola I have had for three years is still going strong.
    This monitor is small but plenty big enough. As well as the usual temperature monitoring and volume control, there is very clear night vision. The microphone is also a bit clearer than the sound on my older model.
    All seems good after two weeks of use. If this one lasts as well as my other, it’s an excellent value model.

    This baby monitor set consists of a compact camera, which requires a mains power source, and a portable parental monitor. The parental monitor unit has a detachable rechargeable battery (similar to mobile phone batteries), and a mains plug/charger. The battery requires 16 hours’ charging before first use, so this would not be an ideal option as a last minute buy.

    This is a good, neat little system that’s easy to set up. I’m using it to keep an eye on our dog (who is recuperating from an IVDD episode) when I’m not able to be in the room with her.

    This has a solid range of features, and the screen is high quality. I like the fact that this is a closed system and not another addition to the Internet of Things – there’s no chance of the camera being hacked and having your home spied on.

    Slightly disappointed with the once market leading baby camera, perhaps the camera’s resolution, or the display monitor, don’t seem to have a good clear view ( ie: in comparison the unbranded 360 camera, which is doing a better job- as display on the bigger phone screen )
    It is a handy thing to have as it has a microphone, infra red and also temperature reading ( and the top right along with the battery bar )
    The monitor does have built in battery but only lasts for a few hours ( when not plugged in ).
    It does have a zoom function, but more of a digital zoom, and the camera is fixed.
    Overall it is a very reliable product and but slightly pricey for the quality.

    Decent quality image for a budget baby monitor although I expected a slightly better image from a well known brand. The night vision tho is better than I expected.
    The good thing about this monitor is that it is really easy to set up and use and can be used wirelessly as it has a rechargeable battery, the room temperature is also a really nice touch.
    The camera came already paired to the monitor and works from anywhere at home without disruption from other electronics, it has a better range than the internet router.
    Overall a good baby monitor, does exactly what is supposed to but would have been nice to be able to watch it through an app on the phone also.

    Good range and easily portable video screen. Sounds very clear and loud if you want it to be. Image could be a bit sharper but more than adequate. Camera moves on the vertical but would be helpful to move on the horizontal too. Temperature monitoring really helpful, especially during recent hot weather. Easy to set up so overall very good value for money considering the cost.

    From as far as I can remember Motorola, was the cutting edge in mobile phone tech and everyone was clamming to get their hands on one.
    Now though, the mobile scene is a foregone conclusion. However, Motorola has managed to reinvent itself and now, has ventured into the baby monitor world. This baby features the usual, features such as; room temperature monitoring, volume control, sound level indication and more. It also has a highly sensitive microphone so you can hear every breath and gurgling that you like. Not just that, the video lens is pretty impressive too, not to mention the sharp zoom function, it also has sharp images even in extremely dark conditions.
    So far, I can’t fault this baby monitor and it’s nice to see a once well-known brand trying to complete.

    Not got a baby myself but my dog has had a litter & this is superb to keep an eye on her and her puppies! I feel SO much safer having this watch her all night, you hear so many horror stories online now days about puppy thefts so I wanted something to help put my mind at ease and also I find myself getting up 20 times in the night when we have a litter and a pup is crying and it is just crying for no reason so with this I have been able to just check on them and know if I am needed to help them or not rather than getting up countless times, the mom has adjusted to this watching above them, Great picture quality, the night vision is very good. Very good camera and superb peace of mind with this.

    This is an all in one kit with camera and hand-held monitor. You don’t need Wi-Fi to set it up, and only really need power for the camera. The hand held monitor can be charged and run free of wires.

    Setup is easy, just plugging in the camera and turning it on (slide switch on the side) and then inserting the battery into the monitor and plugging that in (to charge, if the battery is flat). You should see an image straight away.

    The menu is quite simple to operate and there’s the ability to add three more cameras, as well as adjust brightness, screen sleep time, volume, zoon, etc. Because it doesn’t use Wi-Fi it can be taken wherever you want and just plugged in. The range is really good too, I’ve had it over 120ft from the end of my garden to inside my house and there were no issues.

    Image quality is average at best unfortunately. The monitor is low resolution and it looks a bit 90’s compared to images you would get on an IP camera through your Wi-Fi and onto your phone. It is very simple though. If you’ve not got Wi-Fi, want long range then it’s a reasonable setup. Sound is good, you can hear everything going on although you can’t take back over this.

    There’s a night light mode (off, low and high) which is a bit of a gimmick really. Changing colours on the camera but not really bright enough to light a room.

    Simple setup and go. No Wi-Fi needed. Good range.

    Works really well. Super easy to setup, camera quality is good & connection has been stable since setting up. Results do depend on internet quality so don’t put poor connection down to the products fault.

    Picks up quiet audio which is nice & not just the loud sounds.

    The night vision (infra-red) works well. This is great for all parents or even animals.

    A basic nursery camera and monitor set by Motorola. If your looking for a no-frills easy to set up from the box under the 100 budget baby video camera set this is a fantastic option.

    It comes well packaged in the box, inside you’ll find the camera, monitor, two power adaptors and instructions.

    The construction of the products mainly consists of plastic. The camera was already paired to the monitor when I turned on both devices. The monitor is nice and compact, that fits in the palm of your hand. The bonus is that it has a rechargeable battery and can be used wirelessly without it being plugged into the mains. The display screen is not the sharpness but clear enough to see the camera surroundings.

    Whilst this set has limited functions, there is a multi-colour light at the front of the camera to soothe the little one to sleep.

    Verdict – if you’re looking for something without needing to download extra apps, sign up for accounts. This is a great camera and monitor set by Motorola but would recommend other products for extra functionality.

    good simple monitor camera se

    The Motorola Nursery Baby Monitor with the 2.8″ is a wonderful addition to any young child’s room. Upon unboxing, the monitor was up and running within 5 minutes. The camera is automatically synced with the monitor device out of the box, so upon plugging in the camera and having it turned on with powering up the monitor unit the system pairs. Overall, a great and simple two piece device when it comes to setting up and using.

    This is a good set for those that don’t want smart cameras or app-based ones and just want a simple camera and monitor. I loved the camera’s flexibility of being able to stand up on a side/shelf, wall mount or mount to a camera wall/tripod fixing so this gives lots of versatility with the camera but then you are limited by the power cable so consider that when thinking about placement. It has a good long cable, but wall mounting could be tricky.
    The monitor side is a nice little handheld sized device with a clear screen and controls on the right perfect for your thumb to operate plus it has a little fold out stand at the back which was surprising robust and stable. I was very please this could be mains powered or battery with the supplied rechargeable battery.
    Functions are good although the digital zoom does get a little grainy when you zoom like most digital zooms its nice to have it case and the night mode was very good and clear in black and white.
    Overall, for 65.00 it’s a good camera setup from a known brand that’s well made and works well, but I think most people now will prefer app based ones so this needs to be less than 50 to make it good value.

    good baby camera and monitor se

    Price seems to fluctuate on this, so if you can get it for under 65 then you’re doing yourself a favour. That said, it’s quite a good camera monitor… doesn’t just have to be for baby! Good for pet watching in a particular room or even for watching your vulnerable adult family member while you cook or sit outside etc. Nicely easy to set up and good picture. Nice that it’s not dependent on your mobile phone, which simplifies things and makes it much more accessible for many, though does mean it’s not for keeping an eye on things whilst you’re far from home – this suggests 1000ft range.

    This is Great value phone colour video baby monitor that also has built-in night vision which means you can keep a close eye on your little one with complete confidence. There is an option to digitally zoom in on the picture so if you position it well you can see just about anything you need to. Blinds is quite clever as it must be a wide angle as the really is a lot of depth in the picture even when it is relatively close to the subject. It’s really simple to move around and because it’s just based on simple wireless technology rather than smart phone apps et cetera parents and grandparents will be able to use it with ease.
