The router is now working very well indeed, but it was a bit resistant to being set-up either directly or via the App. The App kept getting hung-up part way into set-up and kept itself running around in a loop. The direct method of set-up eventually required the use of an IT expert to modify settings and set everything up for me. However, having overcome these rather ridiculous obstacles, the system is now running well.

I bought this router as an add on to my very poor Virgin Hub 3. It took around 10-15 minutes to fully set up. It’s a huge improvement over the hub 3’s WIFI signal. I can definitely recommend it for a home user looking for better WIFI.

Bought to replace an unreliable Sky router. Once set up provides great coverage and excellent WiFi speed around the house.

This is a brilliant device. We have great Internet through the house.
Only downside if I have to pick something is the size.

So l bought this to rule out internet issues with a talktalk hub which l was 99% certain wasn’t the cause (eventually talk talk replaced it anyway however even though l replicated the issues with this nighthawk…anyhow this isn’t the point) The Rax50 really works well sets itself up pretty much without you having to do anything, even configures itself as a router or access point on subnets..very impressive. The only thing l couldn’t make it do was authenticate for talktalktv add-on packages, like sky TV boosts. Unfortunately this means it isn’t as described and fully compatible with talktalk or probably any of the other isps with TV services that require separate authenticated logins. As a router or access point though it really is good WiFi seems strong on 2.4 and 5, user interface is very intuitive and much more comprehensive than your average ISP provided interwebs box.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFor starters if you thinking do I need one these products to improve signal then answers is yes, I have virgin 500mbps and could bearly get 30 near the hub now I get 550mps across the whole house and get WiFi signal to the shed and about 100+ in my back garden, app is abit limited but does the job, I would suggest plugging into router with laptop and sorting setting there. One bug bear is I have alot of smart devices in my house and for some reason night hawk kicked them off and I had to resync others than that this product is mind blowing if you’ve on been using service providers modem!

The Nighthawk AX6 is quite something. If it wasn’t for our war crime of an internet speed, I’m fairly sure the men in black would be parked in the bushes watching us.

I bought the Nighthawk router as I was plagued by poor Internet performance from my Virgin router. This had been getting steadily worse over the last year. Since putting the Nighthawk in the wifi coverage, speed and performance has been fantastice. Set up was simple using the Nighthawk App took approx 30 minutes from unboxing, I would recommend this to anyone experiencing terrible wifi from thier Virgin router.

I recently bought a NetGear nighthawk AX6 6-stream (RAX50) on amazon because the router I had at first was really slow always going off. Not with NetGear was so much faster than the other one I would recommend you buy a Router from Netgear as you will see the improvement.

    Best Wifi Route

I have given a 3 star tech support only because I haven’t had to use it so have zero idea how their tech support it. I have Virgin Broadband, their super hub is anything but Super and we’ve experienced wifi issues for a very long time. I changed it to a modem, hardwired the netgear, followed the app set up and have had great wifi for 2 months with zero problems. It is the best thing I have done in my house wifi wise. We are HEAVY users and this provides stable fast wifi for all

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased this Nighthawk AX-6 (RAX50) to replace an older Nighthawk X4 (D7800) modem/router and Wow!… what a step up. (Must say at this point that I only looked at Netgear products for replacement and, No, this is not a paid review.)

The first thing I noticed is what an improvement the user interface is over the older; nice and fresh but without the pain of finding my way through a new interface. Easy to set up even though I have 30+ devices attached (Smart home IOT mostly).

WiFi 6 is a big improvement and my main PC connects wirelessly at 2.4 Gbps limited I guess by my adaptor (this beats 1Gbps wired by some margin). Netgear Armor is a nice feature and offers peace of mind for internet safety even though I am use Bitdefender.

Perhaps the biggest improvement over my previous device is the Netgear Nighthawk app for my android devices which gives me easy access to the router without having to be attached, easy settings changes and as much information that I need to manage and monitor.

Overall this is a very nice device; aesthetically pleasing, easy to set up and with great performance.

A 5 star device and highly recommended.

This has to be one of the best purchases I have ever made. It worked straight out of the box, setup was also a doddle. The setup app is fantastic and made the setup process quick and easy. I haven’t even optimised it yet but it knew to give more bandwidth to my PS4 without even telling it. I pay for a 500mb/s connection as I game a lot. This box of wizardry is managing to get me 550 mb/s. This is my favourite bit of tech in my house and the whole family loves the extra fast stable connections. We were not getting anywhere even close with our standard ISP provided router. 10/10 a genius product. Well done Netgear fantastic product.

This router has made all the difference to WiFi in my home and extended it further than my previous one! Simple to install with a great app to help install and maintain my home network, one of the best investments I have made in this techno demanding world we live in, this is the future straight from the box

This was my fix for virgin media dropping signal and reset it every day. I have done a setup to the hub 3 to be a modem only and since then I had absolutely no issues with the internet connection. Connected this router and the signal covers all my house. Over the brick walls the speed drops but I’m happy with this as I wanted a stable wifi. Also manages great with all my wifi devices (12 devices). Very stable. Very happy. I ignored the update of router software as it’s working out of the box as I wanted and I don’t want to cause any issues. My wifi priter is not the smartest one, after every hub3 reset I had to manually connect it again. This is no longer happening with this router. I recommend this personally to all virgin media users.

    Best router I had

I like most things about the product and its system. There is not a lot to complain about apart from the fact that it is pretty pricy and the interface is not as intuitive as it might be
