Bought as an alternative to the more expensive horsey coats that were originally modelled on watersport coats. This is light but warm. Keeps me dry. Roomy enough to wear a coat underneath. Covers my 5ft 8 frame down to my boots. Great quality and great price.
Great product used on various occasions one when completing a marathon as a top coat to keep you warm and dry and the vin various occasions when walking the dog.
Lovely item, fitted ok but not big enough to be able to change in it,so item was returned and money refunded the same day.
I purchased this for use at the stables and dog walking. It’s perfect and does exactly what it says on the tin. I suffer from joint pains and have a back that usually has a hot water bottle strapped to it yet this coat has kept me warm covering all the way down over my knees and it’s extremely lightweight weighing no more than a “spring coat”. Haven’t ridden in it yet as it’s not long arrived but shall do this weekend, however have walked the dog for miles without feeling the need to run home to get warm. Total bargain considering the actual equestrian versions are anything up to 100 more! Grab yourself a bargain 🙂
I bought this for my wife for her paddle boarding days. She loves it ! Does the job brilliantly and in terms of price her friends say it does the same thing as their more expensive versions. We’ll be buying again in the summer for my daughter.
This is a very big robe which suits for at least Large size but it is supposed to be big as you can get changed under it. It is waterproof and wind proof so it can keep you warm. It is useful for outdoor swimmers. Also good as winter jacket for bigger size people. The price is a bit high though.
My Oksun Waterproof Changing Robe is very comfortable and great as a coat to.
– Lightweight and very warm as well as fleeced lined
– Two waterproof zip pockets
– Colour: Light Blue
– Machine Washable
Great for changing on the beach or as a jacket to go for walks or run errands.
– The two pockets are handy for your keys, phone and wallet
Highly Recommended
Multipurpose waterproof changing robe. It is comfortable to wear and I am happy with it.
It can be used and changing robe as well as rain coat which is not too bad.
I am so pleased with it.
A really good length dry robe style jacket. Perfect for wearing after doing watersports the inside is fleece lined while the outside is waterproof
Dried me off nicely and kept me toasty and warm. Could be worn over clothes if it was super cold and rainy too. I love the colour and overall find its a good quality jacke
I ordered this mainly for when we go to the seaside with the kids which we do a lot of in the summer months – but with it being Northern England you still need plenty of warm and dry gear!
At this time of year we don’t venture to the coast but that hasn’t stopped us using this excellent waterproof poncho for other things. It will get plenty of use come next summer but for now it’s a fantastic thing to shove on over the top on days such as this morning when it’s absolutely hammering it down with rain and you need to walk the kids to school.
It’s warm and dry without being too thick and stuffy. Just a perfect over-layer to keep the rain off and then lightweight and thin enough to take off and hang it up to dry quickly. My wife has even used it to get to work in on a particularly miserable day and it meant she was the only one in the office that didn’t look like a drowned rat!
It has a nice light blue colouring which is inoffensive enough to appeal to anyone and is a plain-non-flashy design so you can totally get away with wearing it as an over-garment. Thankfully our kids are fair-weather when it comes to sports and prefer indoor karate or cricket but if you’re one of those poor parents who has to stand on the sidelines through autumn and winter watching football or rugby then this will be an ideal thing to purchase.
Everything is quality in terms of the materials, zip and stitching and how waterproof it is. Just an excellent product that does its job superbly.
I ride stand-up paddle in the sea very often, so keeping my body dry and warm is a big issue.
This changing robe is absolutely amazing. Good design, good fit, good quality, well made. It only has been used once, but my satisfaction about this product is 100%.
It’s Generously proportioned and easy to put on and take off, light and easy to fold up small when not needed. it’s pretty comfortable, and doesn’t stick to your body, Covers well and doesn’t restrict your movements.
The main fabric appears completely waterproof/windproof, It holds the heat and keeps body dry and warm. Covers all but the hands and feet without being distressed and getting wet. Absolutely Ideal for using in windy and rainy weather to warm up again .
This is a must-have item to keep nice and warm before swimming and prevent further cooling after swimming. It Keeps me on the beach longer without the hassle of getting changed when I get wet. The robe is really cozy and comfy, so you can even get back home without having to be dressed, very handy.
I’m very happy to have it. Highly recommend.
This changing robe is very nice, and is very soft to the touch like a chamois type material.
It is a good size so you can easily get changed underneath while wearing it and has big arms so you can easily slips your arms out whilst wearing it.
It has two pockets with waterproof zips and adjustable cuffs with velcro straps so you can tighten them around your wrist. There is also a waterproof zip up the front which fastens right up to the chin.
The hood is a good size and helps to keep your head warm on a windy day.
This is a nice quality fleece lined waterproof changing robe with lots of room inside, one size fits all. This would be perfect for someone who enjoys water/ beach sports as it will keep you warm when you get out of the water and is big enough for you to slip out of your wet clothes and put on something warmer. I also feel it will be good for dog walkers and mums who loyally stand on the sidelines watching their kids play sports in the wetter months.
The price is a little high but if you buy when on offer it’s more acceptable.
This is a wonderfully roomy changing robe for those who enjoy watersports.
The lining is great for drying you off and there’s plenty of space to get charged inside.
The pockets are huge so items and hands can fit comfortably.
It’s also really great for throwing over the top of thick winter jumpers and gilets to add another windproof and waterproof layer on dog walks etc.
I got this for the purposes of outdoor swimming. It is such good quality.,
It came well packaged and on first inspection really good quality. The outer is waterproof and a thick plastic waterproof type of material. It comes fleece lined inside which ideal when you have just come out of cold waters. It has two pockets which are good quality and deep you could leave your belongings in there if you wanted. It is big and comfortable it is suitable from L-6XL so gives you a massive variety of sizes. It is so well made and keeps you very warm. Ideal for as I say if you like outdoor swimming or surfing, just pop it on and it dries you off and keeps you warm. The pockets are also waterpoof so the inside of those don’t get wet. This is a must have if you enjoy doing water sports outdoors.
Great value for money.
I already have a mountain warehouse beach robe at twice the price which has thick woolly lining and is extremely warm and cosy, but it is so bulky I seldom use it. This one is much lighter and packs up very small. It is not as warm but still adequate. It is really waterproof, water beads up and doesn’t soak in at all, unlike many big name waterproof coats which are hopeless. Only improvements I would suggest are a cord around the hood for when you are facing into he wind, and maybe slightly thicker fleece lining. But overall an excellent product very happy.
If you have ever been to Blackpool in the U.K then you will know why I picked this up, my partner likes to take our family for days out to Blackpool regardless of the weather and we always end up dripping wet getting changed on a car park with one of us holding a towel up for the so this will come in handy for those days.
The fabric on the outside is like a goretex type material which is 100% waterproof and the inside is a fleece type that feels so nice.
I can’t wait to use it and honestly would recommend this to anyone who needs something like this.
As described and as advertised.
This is oversized as advertised. It is, however, more oversized than we were expecting. It does however fit a 6 foot five frame very well for late night dog walks where L motto needs to complete her last business transaction of the evening before bed.
Because it’s oversized I can be used as a changing row for us it’s a useful poncho for dog walks when the weather is bad.
That’s far it’s proved windproof and rainproof — no issues here.
Lightweight and comfortable to wear but it is a little restrictive on smaller frames.
Good overall quality control with good stitching, hems, and seams.
Good smooth functioning zip. Doesn’t get stuck on the zip lining or any other material.
We haven’t scored this five stars because we found the hood can be a little problematic in windy conditions. It would’ve been better if you could tighten the hood with a toggle string for example. Also Andy for a brand we’re not familiar with, this is quite expensive at 70+.
Very good Changing robe, this is great for those early morning dips. get out of the water and into this rob and you will soon warm up even in a light breeze, the only down side would be the weight as it’s not super light due to the material used. all in all works very well not 5 stars but very close.
There’s a lot to like about this changing robe. The internal fleece lining is comfortable and warm, the outer layer feels like a waterproof jacket and should protect against the rain, and there are a couple of large zipped pockets. The main zip is double ended, so it can be opened fully from the top, or unzipped from the bottom if you needed a toilet break, for example.
I like the design and the colour, the comfort and that the sleeves have velcro adjusters to keep them in place on the wrists.
However, it is really large. I know there should be plenty of room to allow someone to change, but I could organise a party inside for a couple of people and still have room for the drinks and nibbles. It’s also a tad long. And whilst overall it’s well made, there are a couple of poorly sewn seams inside (see photo).
The relatively high list price is tempered somewhat by a current Amazon voucher which brings it down to around 55. That still puts it at the higher end of similar products available on Amazon but given the warmth and comfort is probably about right.
My niece is a keen swimmer, and already has a branded dry robe that she wears after her swimming sessions/in between races.
I bought this for her, she is 10 years old, but very tall (5ft 6). This was fine for her in length and obviously was slightly big in size, however this is what you need.
This robe is lightweight and feels quite thin. However, she reported back that it keeps her warm after a swimming session and dries her well. She said its on par with her branded one. They both have zipped pockets, which is a nice feature.
Would recommend this for someone who needs a dry tone but can’t fork out more than a hundred pounds for a branded one.
This Oksun Waterproof Changing Robe is my very first swim parka. It has thick and strong outer shell which is waterproof, and the fleece lining is soft to touch and keeps me really warm while protecting me from the wind completely.
The price point of 75.99 at the time of review is quite a bargain as others are a lot more expensive.
This changing robe is ideal for slipping on as soon as I come out the water. The absorbant material on the inside helps me to dry quickly whilst it keeps the wind away and helps me warm up. I found the proportions fitted me well and with a bit of wriggling I was able to change under the robe.
I was a bit surprised by how lightweight it was, I had expected it to be thicker – but despite that it appears to work well.
Update – An issue has occurred with use on very windy days – the hood is very light weight and will not stay in place.
Oksun Waterproof Changing Robe, Windproof Swim Parka Oversize Surf Poncho Hooded Coat Jacket Warm Fleece Lining.
The robe is an oversized big jacket that allows you to easily get changed whilst wearing it. It actually has two zips which allows you to unzip the jacket from the bottom up or from the top down which is very useful while getting changed. It also has two large oversized pockets for you to keep your belongings or a small change of clothes.
The outside material is a waterproof fabric, and the inside is a soft fleece material that keeps you nice and warm, the robe also has a hood which is big but keeps you all cozy.
Overall, this is a quality made changing jacket. It’s quite expensive but average compared to similar products on the market. This would be an ideal product for people who swim during the colder seasons. I’m really pleased with it and I would happily recommend i
Brilliant quality well worth the price, keeps you very warm and a great length for dog walking in the rain as kept my pants dry too, this will be great for the beach in the summer sports I enjoy but in the meantime it’s perfect for dog walking down there till the nice water weather comes back, highly recommend
I am a short woman, so obviously it is quite big on me, which I took under consideration. I am really happy with the quality. I live by the sea, so anything windproof is a godsent. It is quite pricey but I believe it is worth the money. 5/5
Putting this on feels cosy which is one of the main things you want these coats to do! The lovely micro fleece lining hugs you immediately, its oversized and so easy to pull on and zip up. All of these things are essential for when you get out of the freezing lake. The pockets are large although I’d probably not use them for anything given I’l be wet when I put it on. The zip is large and chunky which will help when you have cold fingers to manage to secure it and pull it up. You can pay a lot more for these coats but I am more than happy that this is sufficient and will do the job well. I have the towelling ones but I get cold as they’re not windproof especially when wet, you freeze so this would be my first choice if I bought again, recommended.
The Oksun Waterproof Changing Robe is extremely roomy and has a definite premium feel. The listing states that not only can the robe be machine washed, it can also be ironed, which I find surprising as the outer doesn’t feel like it would do well under an iron.
The robe is excellent quality for the price point, which while it isn’t cheap is still much cheaper than big brand alternatives. Zips and stitching are all solid
It really holds in the warmth, within minutes of putting it I was feeling significantly warmer, I can only attribute this to the fleece like lining material. There are no internal pockets but the external ones are very large and have zip closures.
I can’t over state how much room there is in the Oksun Waterproof Changing Robe, I’m not a small guy and I really could fit 2 of me in here. Ideal for keeping warm while drying out after an autumn dip.
Delivered in its own sealed package
Inside sits this absolutely gorgeous one size changing robe . Made from a PET fabric it measures 11080cm(LW). The sleeves have velcro fastenings at the cuff , but are nice and long . There’s a central double zipper that can be opened from either end . The side pockets are really deep ( perfect for keeping keys and phone in ) . Inside has a soft lining made from a microfibre material . This helps to dry you off and keep you warm . The hood is an excellent size
This has multiple uses thanks to the fact it’s waterproof and windproof , it can be used for drying and changing after swimming , paddle boarding and more .
Considering the quality of its make , the feel of the fabric both inner and outer I think this is outstanding value for money
This feels really good quality and is so big and cosy. Will be lovely getting out of the sea into this. I’m size 18/20 and it feels very big on me but you can tighten the arm straps to make it fit better and prob could get changed under it.
In the summer I went camping and paddle boarding and noticed a lot of people wearing this type of oversized poncho robe. I asked were they any good and all the answers came back as yes. However, they do vary in price and those people I spoke to all paid around the 100 mark for theirs.
At the time of review this robe is 68.39 which is considerably less so I wondered if it would be as good? Yes! I wish I had this during the summer. Huge, lightweight, hooded, fleece lined, good strong zips, zipped pockets, great material, waterproof, windproof and versatile! Love the colour and the material has texture. Instant warmth from the cold paddle boarding lakes in Cumbria, I dared to go where we had camped in the summer but just for the day and this gorgeous robe made all the difference. I had my wetsuit on for paddling which is great but as soon as you come off the water in these temperatures you need this! Loads of room to wiggle out of the wet suit, helps to dry you, so good. Drys off quickly and overall, a really great product, excellent at this price. My daughter grabbed this to go for a walk and said she loved wearing it just as a cute coat!
I have the more famous brand of these robes as well as this one, so I can give you a comparison. The Oksun is really good value, but is a very different design.
Instead of the fluffy faux-wool lining that most of these robes have, the Oksun has a thinner fleece lining, like you would find on an outdoor jacket. This reduces the bulk of the robe considerably, and makes it more like a normal coat. The outer lining is thicker and stiffer too, and considerably more waterproof. Water will just run off the Oksun, while the more well-known version is not very waterproof at all (despite the name..)
It’s just as warm and windproof, but the thinner lining doesn’t make it quite so cosy espeically when you’re cold and wet after a swim. It still does the job perfectly well, but it’s just not got that snug feeling as you wrap it around yourself. It has long sleeves though, and with the hood pulled up and over it certainly enough to keep the cold wind out, and it makes it a bit more practical when you’re using it at an indoor pool as you won’t take up quite so much space!
There are two big, zipped pockets for your hands, but no internal pockets. The main zip has two pulls, so you can go bottom to top, and there’s plenty of space inside to allow you to get changed.
It’s a really nice jacket, but it does lean more towards the ‘jacket’ than ‘robe’. It’s very well made and all the stitching and so on is immaculate, with no loose threads or anything, and the colour is very attractive too. It packs up very small, so it’s good for hiking trips where volume can be as important as weight.
It’s a nice variation on what is becoming the ‘standard’ design for these robes, and if you’re looking for something less bulky but just as practical then it’s ideal. I’ve seen more and more people using this type of robe as a coat when walking the dog, etc, and this is ideal for that. Really nice.
We were recently in Jersey and we saw literally dozens of people wearing coats like this before and after their swims in the English Channel – I was intrigued as they all seemed so cozy and comfortable in spite of being wet and the wind blowing.
Well now I have one and I understand their appeal.
Long, fleece lined with deep and generous pockets, this coat has a waterproof outer layer which seems very windproof. I have a similar (shorter) jacket which really lets in the cold when it’s windy. It’s breezy today so I wore it to go shopping – I didn’t feel any chill at all. The hood fits well around the neck and I felt very snug and secure. The zips are excellent – proper strong ‘outdoor’ zips. All the seams seem strong and weather resistant – no weak spots where rain can sneak in. My current outdoor rain jacket is ok in light showers but anything heavier and I get damp patches at my shoulders and chest – I don’t think this is going to be an issue at all with this coat.
Suitable for anyone, in the picture my husband (174cm, 105kg) is wearing the coat, in the video I am wearing it (160cm, 100kg). A good cover all at what I think is a very good price.
I’m not an outdoor swimmer, in fact I’m not really a swimmer at all and we don’t do paddle boarding or any other water-based activity but we go National Hunt racing a lot – racecourses in winter can be very damp and bleak places and are particularly windy so I’ll be wearing this coat a lot over the coming months, starting at Chepstow next week.
Very pleased and would recommend.
My partner is into sea swimming all year round, so I ordered this for her and she used it today. She said it kept her warm and cosy after her swim whilst she sat on the beach ,had a coffee and it was big enough for her to use to change out of her costume wearing it . It is waterproof and the material is soft to the touch not plasticky and a nice light blue colour , the photo`s do not do it justice .The robe is fleece lined with rubberised zips on the pockets, a large sturdy main zip and is 3/4 length . It has Velcro adjusters on the cuffs , a decent sized hood and the pockets are very large .All the seams a nicely stitched with no loose or frayed areas. For anyone into swimming ,surfing , paddle boarding etc this is a decent sized warm robe which is worth adding to your wardrobe. Buy this and there is no more being cold whilst struggling to change out of wet clothes wrapped in a towel.
Brilliant, just what I was looking for, for when I’m out paddle boarding. Once I’ve finished on the lake this is ideal for putting on and getting changed underneath or keeping warm whilst having a lunch break.
This changing robe isn’t just for watersports though, you can use this as a regular oversized coat, dog walking, walking, festivals, garden parties to keep warm.
It is a good size with a hood, it has zip pockets and is water proof, it has a very short Microfiber? fleece? lining which dry’s quickly and is absorbent. I did expect this to be thicker, especially for the price and also supermarkets have their own makes for cheaper and they are thicker.
It seems well made, it looks nice and feels soft. Very pleased with this changing robe.

This Oksun waterproof changing robe is just the thing for use during our days out on the SUP paddleboards and for my wife’s outdoor winter triathlon training. It makes her life much easier and allows her to change comfortably and protect her modesty when changing facilities are unavailable. It’s water-resistant and feels both warm and comfortable between activities. It’s well-made and effective in its function as it genuinely does a great job overall.
I genuinely can’t fault it, as it’s relatively decent value and has so far proved to be a great addition to our kit so I’m more than happy to recommend it.
Thanks for taking the time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful
