I recently purchased the OnePlus Nord 2 5G and I am blown away by its incredible performance. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage capacity are more than enough for my daily use. The triple camera system captures stunning photos and videos with great detail and color accuracy. And the 65W Warp Charge technology charges the battery from 0 to 100% in just 30 minutes, making it extremely convenient for my busy lifestyle.

The Blue Haze color looks stunning and gives the phone a premium look and feel. The 2-year warranty gives me peace of mind knowing that I am protected against any defects or malfunctions. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend the OnePlus Nord 2 5G to anyone looking for a top-of-the-line smartphone with great features and performance.

First One plus phone we have bought “bought it for the wife! (She loves it) love the oxygen OS, you get gel case and screen protector already on the phone! Fast response with this processor and with 12 gb and 256 memory it’s not going to run out of space any time soon! Call quality is great, Camera life like photo,s, rapid charge from supplied charger is great 10 mins and your back to 80% ! No real downs side I found yet would highly recommend One Plus so much as I have been looking at 10 plus pro!

    Happy with my purchase

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHAD to update as my previous phone (which still works well) will not last forever. However as a bridge between old stylee and current mini computers, some of it’s features were both thoughtful and ahead of their time.
But, back to this mid-price Android phone. My instant thoughts –
    Nice clear screen
    Takes good pix
    Fast (sometimes too fast)
    Charges FAST.
    OK for 5G.
are the main pluspoints at this stage.
My personal downsides – a lot to learn and trouble finding a child with patience!
It came out well in the Which choices and feels like a good investment at a maneagable price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve always liked sonys but my xperia xa1 ultra was getting old and slow, so I thought about a Samsung galaxy a33 but I don’t like Samsung so decided on a oneplus and was worried about the oxygen part of it but truly this is a great android phone which I’m falling in love with (there are a few niggles for me but greatly overlooked by the phone and software) especially after upgrading to Android 12

I had the OnePlus Nord and I’ve upgraded to the Nord2 and I’m really pleased with it. It’s light with good battery life and the charging is v quick. Beyond the aesthetics, the phone is swift and the camera and screen are a massive step forward.

I would happily buy it again.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOnePlus phones have always provided excellent quality and performance for the money, and the Nord phones are a throwback to the days of their budget devices, but they don’t feel or perform like a budget device. The only negative point is that if you need PagerDuty for work, the hardware slider will block those alerts.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this phone for my dad. Like most dad’s he’s not great with technology but complained with his old phones that they were slow to load, died quickly and generally had bugs throughout the software. This phone solved all these issues. His light use of texts, calls and a bit of media playing means he easily gets 2 days battery and only has to charge on the morning of the 3rd day. The performance is perfect for what he uses it for and could definitely handle more challenging tasks such as light gaming and heavier media use. One Plus’ operating system is great and makes it easy for someone who isn’t so tech savvy to use a phone which is full of cool tech features. All round great phone and would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPreviously owned a Huawei P30 lite. Thought this phone would be an upgrade and it is when it comes to:
    – camera
    – battery life
    – fast charging
    – operational speed
    – sound quality
I am however very disappointed about few major factors.
    – no headphone jack (I know most companies are getting rid of them, but it is really inconvenient)
    – NO MEMORY CARD SLOT! I just assumed all phones come with one… When I finished transferring my files from my old phone, which had a memory card, I was left with 10GB of space left…
    – Face recognition does not work very well.

It’s very fast, first time you turn it on might be slow but it’s incredibly fast after that, from 0 to 65% takes about 10mins. I never have to charge my phone overnight. Don’t buy overpriced phones get this one instead but if you’re a girl stick to iPhone, and if you’re an iPhone guy then buy iPhone SE it does the job just fine.

Great value for money. It does everything I need a phone to do very well and I find it very good value for money. It’s also an attractive piece of kit. The fast charging is particularly impressive and useful. The camera is very good and the screen quality is agreeable. There’s no earphone jack but a simple adapter can be bought if you want to solve that issue.

This is a great all round phone. The battery life lasts me 7 hours with 20% left. The cameras are brilliant for the price and have great detail. The screen quality is average for this price range, but this isn’t important and ot still looks sharp. The refresh rate could be higher, but this isn’t noticeable during normal use, the screen gets bright enough to see outdoors but can be difficult to see in direct sunlight. The under screen finger print scanner is very good but doesn’t work very well in bright areas.

Previous phone was the excellent Umidigi S5 Pro. This is a step upgrade. Processor is lightening fast, android 12 is much smoother and is close to standard on this phone. Lots of smart features and the face recognition and fingerprint scanner are both excellent. This was an Amazon Warehouse purchase, which as always in my experience delivers stonking value. Phone is in as new condition but with 30% over prime savings.

Have been a OnePlus owner (6T) for a few years, needed to upgrade and really didn’t want to spend premium money. Glad I picked this up at a reduced price, can’t fault it. It does everything I need of it and saved a considerable amount of money not buying a premium handset. Amazing warp charging, 30% to full charge in about 15 minutes. I can get about a day and half of use from full charge, middle of the road user so had plenty of battery for my needs. Haven’t had to worry about power saving since I’ve had the phone.

Arrived within time promised. We did a lot of homework before deciding on this phone, we didn’t intend paying a lot of money for a “name brand” but looked at a load of independent reviews and came to the conclusion this was the best value for our hard earned money. We are not disappointed, it performs better than we expected, all in all we are very pleased with our purchase.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought this phone as a replacement for a Redmi Note 10 Pro that was stolen. I’ve been using it for about three weeks. I have done little tweaking other than changing the theme, so my review is based on how the phone is ‘out of the box.’ There are plenty of thorough technical reviews on the web, so these are just my real-world experiences.
I’ve got to say I love this phone. It’s definitely a step up from the Redmi Note 10 Pro, even though the screen is a little smaller and isn’t 120 Hz. The display on the Nord 2 is also AMOLED and looks great.
The camera takes much better pictures than the Redmi. They are crisp and sharp even though I’ve left all the settings at default.
The sound is also significantly louder than the Redmi; in fact, it’s louder than most phones. I have no problems listening to podcasts in the shower – OnePlus doesn’t claim that it’s waterproof, though, so don’t actually take it in the shower!
I found the Redmi Note 10 Pro would go ‘strange’ on me every few days. The screen image would be too big for the screen, and the only way to fix it was to reset the phone—no problems with the OneNote. I have not had to reset it a single time.
I have two SIM cards in the phone (BT and Lycamobile), and they both work fine together.
I live in an area without 5G, so I can’t comment on that. Occasionally I have travelled into an area that is supposed to have some 5G, but I haven’t seen the icons change from 4G to 5G. That said, I wasn’t paying much attention. If 5G is important to you, see what other reviewers say.
I paired the phone with a 32nd Classic Series 2.0 – Real Leather Book Wallet Flip Case Cover For OnePlus Nord 2 5G. It fits perfectly and looks great. Together they have a solid, reassuringly heavy feel in the hand.
And finally, battery life is excellent. At the end of the day, I still have 60-70% charge left, so I’m sure it could easily last two days. Even better is the ‘warp’ charging. In the evenings, I can top up that 30-40% to take it up to 100% in 5-10 minutes. Even a full charge takes half an hour or less. It’s very impressive. You do need their charger and cable though. I tried charging it with their charger and a longer, good-quality cable, and charging was back to average speeds.
I don’t have any complaints at all with this phone. I love it. If I were unlucky enough to lose this one as well, I’d buy another Nord 2. Buy with confidence!

I had to get a replacement phone as I had a MI 11 but unfortunately I dropped a cup on the screen and it destroyed the display, I never get the same phone twice so I had get something different. I didn’t want to spend another 600 so I started looking and I came across the OnePlus Nord 2 pacman with 12gb Ram 256gb storage for 360 a bargain. This phone isn’t a flagship phone but it’s a really good phone the oled display is crisp and clear with nice colours and quite bright and the phone overall has a nice weight to it. The software is something I’m still getting use to but I’ve put Nova launcher onto it so it’s exactly as I like it and with it’s 12gb ram it zips around the interface quite nicely. And it doesn’t heat up at all even though my Mi11 would be hot under the same conditions.
If you’re after a flagship phone get one but if you want a solid, fast reasonably priced phone definitely give it a look! I did and I’m not disappointed!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe phone has a slight drain increase on the battery from initial purchase, but I’ve both played a lot of game hours and charged the device frequently.
If left alone or infrequently used you’ll get a day or so out of the phone.

It runs most things I’ve tried really smoothly and doesn’t seem to hitch running playstation emulators, so that says something.
CoD mobile, PUBG, Soul Knight, Dead Cells no issues, frames were consistent even in particle heavy sections.

Sound quality is really good, really loud but it doesn’t compress or overdrive the speaker so it cracks.

Screen quality is really nice, pretty much what you get from 1+, Samsung, hauwei etc
Only con is how sensitive the screen dimming is.

The cameras I’ve tested a little but not my usual use of a phone. They’re really good however fairly saturated, but I’m happy they focused on core components and less on giant cameras with this model.

I recommend getting this phone because A: it’s cheap as a mf and B: it is as good if not better in some regards than its higher end competition. Which has always been the case with 1+

One pro/con is that the screen is a little over sensitive. It will swipe on touches for example, but it barely happens on keyboard so it must be just sensitive to minute changes. Coincidentally I set a speedrun top 10 time on this phone, so the sensitivity helped in some regard to game movement. Review flex

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersPhone arrived in decent packaging and included a case and fitted with a scrren protector. Also has a fast charger with a shortish (1 metre) cable – this works well and fully recharges from almost empty to 100% in about 30 minutes. I’ve found the battery lasts me for a complete day without needing topping up.

In use the phone is quick and runs all the software I use – a nice change after my old phone. The camera also gives good photos and the sound quality is more than adequate.

However, there are a few niggles which slightly detract from the the overall experience of the phone. First is a limitation by the designers that only allows notification and alarm sounds to be 5 seconds long – an unnecessary limitaion imposed. If you use the phone’s alarm to wake you from a deep sleep only 5 seconds of sound is not long enough!

The other two failings I have found have also been reported by many others but no solutions have been posted. First, it is annoying that when you set a default ringing tone it changes back to the ‘Oneplus tune’ within a day. And, second is that I can set a horizon light to illuminate the edges of the screen when messages and notificaions are received which doesn’t work.

So despite the problems the phone is very good but you have to be aware of possible limitations. Would I buy this agiain? – probably not; I’d pay a bit more for a good phone of a different make.

I wonder if some of the problems I have are due to using the oneplus app to copy my old phone’s data asnd settings to the new phone – the transfer went OK and no errors were flagged so all I can say is be aware of possible limitations!

I purchased this to replace my old OP6. The transfer of data was easy. I have experienced one freeze of the UI but updates are quite frequent and this sort of thing is fixed quickly

If you know what features you do or do not need on a phone, and you think this may fit the bill – it will. I paid 299 for the 8GB / 128GB version. I wouldn’t pay more for the 12 / 256 as the 8GB is plenty fast.

Almost flagship quick processor. A good camera for the price, although I’m comparing it to a pixel 4 where the camera is exceptional, so a little unfair. Good all day battery life and mega quick recharging – 0 to 100% in 30 mins, but you have to use the included charger AND the cable. Colour is grey but with a blue tinge, maybe this is what Sierra means….

Screen is lovely to use….don’t use the Samsung internet browser, as this isn’t compatible with a smooth 90HZ refresh rate that this phone has.

Fast and responsive 2D face recognition and fingerprint reader.

The glass back feels more like plastic, but I still like it. Overall the phone is stylish and in my opinion looks better than the mid range product it is.

Screen brightness could be better in direct sunlight but it’s perfectly useable……

No IP rating, but it does have OIS on the camera. And a bit heavier than I would like.

But if you’re as geeky as I am you probably already know these things!

Comparing this to my ageing “top spec at the time” Pixel 4, I’m impressed and prepared to miss out on the features I really want for this price.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat phone for the price, battery life seems impressive ar the moment and you can charge it from zero to full in half an hour or less!!
Everything else works as you would expect an Android phone in this price range to do.
A few annoying features for me are on phone calls the off button is right by my chin so cam cut people off!!
The alarm when activated doesn’t come up on the screen, you need to open the phone then scroll through your notifications find the alarm then switch it off. Not easy when half asleep and trying not to wake up your partner!!
Also when txting on messenger and WhatsApp the space bar is right by the back button so constantly closing the app when typing.
It may be me, have tried everything to sort the alarm issues but with no luck, so would think carefully about buying this phone.

So I’ve been using this phone for almost an year and i can say it’s a pretty good phone, but recently power button or software itself doesn’t work pretty well, I press the power button and it doesn’t lit up, never got water damaged or dropped really hard, screen and back glass is still like new always was used with screen protector and case (i mean yes of course it did fall multiple times). Battery life started decreasing but i guess that’s normal with phones. I really like finger print scanner always works from the first time, even tho my fingers gets all sorts of scratches on them. Camera is good enough for the price.

Recently bought this phone and so far loving it. Easy user interface as any, all the features you would expect in a budget phone and above average camera. Did not expect there was no head phone jack. I would say in comparison to Huawei p30 range slightly more expensive but for good reason and decent enough not to need flagship range.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe Nord 2 is a fantastic phone for it’s price. For a mid range phone it is priced very well. The Oxygen OS is slick, customizable and easy to use. The phone itself (8GB Ram) is plenty fast enough for most users. Fingerprint is fast, facial recognition is fast, charging is genuinely fast. Like silly fast. Like you almost feel bad how fast it charges.

However, the phone does have some drawbacks. The main camera (50mp) is good, don’t get me wrong. But, it does come with some flaws. The 50mp lens is just that. No optical (this is advertised) but it also cannot digital zoom. You cannot change any settings (AI etc) on the 50mp lens, just focus/Auto focus. It does take good pictures but it will not be the default when you open up the camera app. If you’re in a rush trying to take a picture of something, you will have to manually change it to the 50mp lens every time you open the camera app (unless you keep it open constantly in the background). So you are stuck with the 8mp digital zoom lens which is okay but I want my 50mp lens to atleast have a digital zoom.

Coming from a OnePlus 6 with notification LED, I really did not realize how good a feature that LED is. I miss it a ridiculous amount which is hilarious and saddening at the same time. Downloaded an app for the always on display to mimic but it just isn’t the same and does drain battery.

Overall, a really good phone. More phone than most people need these days. It isn’t a “flagship killer” but it definitely is worth the money, especially when there is an offer on.

And also as an FYI, the phone does come with its own clear OnePlus case (actually a decent case, see myself using it until it’s properly worn out) in the box which isn’t advertised. Would be nice to know this before ordering a seperate case to just end up returning after opening the box.

Golden Review Award: 66 From Our UsersAfter running with the Huawei P30 for a year and a half I thought about OnePlus when it next came time to upgrade. I then started to look at their phones and research OxygenOS and liked what I saw.

I then discovered the Nord series – midrange handsets with near flagship level features/specs and started investing more time into it. I found out the latest Nord model would release. So after weeks of mulling it over and directly comparing the P30 against the Nord 2 I decided to take the plunge.

I took delivery of the phone the next day and set about unboxing and setting it up. I was like a kid at Christmas. The phone came in a nice looking black box with simple blue lines down the side and the OnePlus Nord branding imprinted on the front. When you shine light on the Nord lettering and look from a certain angle you can see a multi-colour reflection.

I then unboxed the phone which came with a screen protector preinstalled and a clear rubber case (when you set the phone down on a flat surface with the case on and turn on the torch the entire thing lights up around the edges and looks pretty snazzy) Also included is the 65w charger, red USB-C cable, SIM removal tool, documents and a very nice letter from OnePlus.

Holding the phone in my hand without the case, I have to say it feels amazing, it’s a really comfy phone to hold and unlike any phone I’ve held before, because of the materials it’s made from. It’s kind of hard to explain but it just feels nice in the hand. It’s almost like a silky smooth texture with very slight roughness for grip.

Anyway, I powered on and set up the phone, logged in with my Google details, ran all the system software updates and installed all my apps. I then went to settings to do some tinkering and customise the OS to a look and feel of my liking. Everything is easy to find in the settings and there’s a respectable amount of things to customise for the OS (colours, AOD, fonts, wallpapers, horizon light for notifications etc)

As for OxygenOS itself I like it – very fresh, clean and simple. And it’ll only get better once 12.0 releases. It’s currently 4 April 2022 as I’m writing this and I’m still waiting for 12.0 so hopefully it’ll be here soon. A Theme store and more new features will be getting added, as far as I’m aware. Just search OxygenOS 12 to see the new additions.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset is as good as any on-par Qualcomm Snapdragon and can handle graphic intensive games like COD Mobile with ease – No overheating. No lag. Nothing of the sort that I’ve noticed. The MediaTek is a solid performing chipset and the glue that holds everything together. Great levels of performance with no noticeable frame drops or dips during gameplay or in general daily usage.

As for the refresh rate the Nord 2 might only have 90Hz capability and not the 120Hz of some flagship models but it’s obviously better than 60Hz and is pretty much the sweet spot, as battery life would suffer under 120Hz. You can have it in either 90Hz or 60Hz mode but sometimes the phone will switch between modes depending on the scenario. I leave it on 90Hz for the most part and it’s fine.

The FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with HDR10+ makes for impressive viewing – sharp looking details, vibrant & true to life colours which pop nicely (you can change vividness in settings) and overall just a nice, big, bright, crystal clear viewing experience – games, TV series, movies and YouTube all look amazing!

The 4500mAh battery with 65w charging is a godsend and will get you out of a jam, for example if you’re short on time. I’ve put the Nord 2 on charge at around 15%, gone away then come back about 25 minutes later and it’s already at 100%. They weren’t lying about the charging speed.

Awesome camera, too! Shots with the built-in Sony IMX766 Exmor sensor look sharp with nice accurate colour and detail, however some shots do look washed out. Night shots look decent but not the best and can look overprocessed and grainy due to the AI scene recongition mode. I’ll admit I’ve been spoiled by the P30’s Leica AG camera though (one of the best smartphone cameras ever produced) so the experience might be different for you depending on what phone you’re coming from.

As for Audio, I do miss the baked in DolbyAtmos audio from the P30 which gave rich, detailed and crystal clear sound across the board with several scenario based modes to choose from, despite only having the one loudspeaker. The Nord 2 has arguably worse audio on balance but it does have the benefit of two loudspeakers which does claw back some of that loss.

All in all, there is more than enough with the Nord 2 to warrant it as a truly worthy near-flagship upgrade from whichever device you’re using now, like me with the P30 for example (I know, the standard P30 isn’t a flagship)

Nord 2 is a very capable device and has something for everyone with its impressive spec sheet and range of apps and features. I’ve had the 8GB RAM model for 7 months now and its still hitting the high notes like the day I got it. I can imagine the 12GB RAM variant is basically Nord 2 on roids. I fully recommend you to get this phone, you won’t be sorry!

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I might come back with edits from time to time.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI previously had a One Plus 6 and have been very happy with it – it had just started to not hold a charge as long as I like – nearly 4 years old.
This phone has not disappointed – it has amazing battery life. It is FAST and responsive. The face recognition and fingerprint reader both work flawlessly.
Why anyone would pay twice as much for a ‘premium’ android phone or three times as much for an iPhone I have no idea.
Camera is brilliant with AI capabilities I’ve only just started to investigate. Sound is really good (for a phone) with stereo speakers.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI started with the first ever one plus phone I loved it so it was very easy for me to buy an upgrade to the 1+ 3T. Had that phone for probably 4 years and to be honest there was nothing was wrong with it. My daughter had one as well and she uses the camera a lot and it started to give her a few issues. So she purchased this phone and while on holiday she used it to take pictures and I saw the results were great. I am not a phone camera user I love using a proper camera but I thought it was a good idea to have a camera in my pocket at all time and you decided to upgrade and the camera the new phone is fantastic for a fantastic price. The 3t still works perfectly and I gave it to my son and he will use it for years. I why pay for the more expensive phone makers when this phone is just as good if not better. The most important upgrade on the 3T is the battery life. On the 3T it would be needed to charged every single day and I’m not a heavy user but this phone will last I don’t know, for ever. Under the same conditions and to be honest even more because I now use it now for music I charge it every other day and it still got 50% battery.

Golden Review Award: 58 From Our UsersNot Surprising its another hit from oneplus punching way above the mid range market at an afordable price , is it a flagship killler? Probably not but it’s definitely biteing at there ankles , Truley impressed I’d originally bought the 9 pro from John Lewis and wasn’t very impressed with all the hassleblad collaboration tosh and the curved edge screen was annoying as hell and a week after buying they announced the Nord 2 and at half the price with pretty much solid spec I quickly retuned the 9 pro for a refund and ordered a Nord 2 not only did I pocket half my money back I still ended up with pretty much as good device
Solid build , grate screen smooth performance , quality Audio , 65w charging
Solid OS , Camera that’s actually Good and will only get better with updates and so far solid battery life , not sure what the other reviewer is on but battery is grate if charging 4 times a day then clearly spending to much time glued to your phone or its fualty and needs replacing , not to mention it takes time for the ROM to settle and to learn your patterns so will improve over time , nice to have the alert slider implemented as well and 90hz display is the sweet spot and helps battery life over a 120hz display , sorry I’m banging on !! So I’m off to waste my saved 400 squid on some other tech tack , Best Bang for buck really , yer you could go Xiaomi , Realme etc but with heavy clunky phones and poor OS and displays I’ve encountered befor are be stickng with this
As Good as a flagship without the pric
