The only qualm is the close up on the camera is poor. Apart from that I love it.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersLets put this into context, I have been part of Samsung’s universe since 2016 and in truth it was great, software was smooth, the experience was easy and the phones were all really solid and reliable.

So when I was called in to handover my A52 to my son who was limping along with an older Samsung I straightaway went to look for another Samsung but in truth I was only willing to spend circa 400 for an upgrade and the A53 was just like buying the same phone as the A52 so I bravely looked afield and trawled the internet for reviews like a sad sack.

Anyway I found that a very trustworthy brit YouTube channel regarded the Nord 2T very highlight I with much trepidation grabbed one from Amazon.

Right well it arrived and the finish is superb, an all glass phone (GG5 no less) that has a better camera than the A52 and is pretty seamless to use, in fact it is lightening quick. Superb to use, no lag and very smooth.

The handset is still 2020’s large but it is both shorter and shallower than the A52 and easy to hold, I can even get it in a pocket.

The face recognition is lightening quick, (be careful tho, security is compromised) and the OS is really slick… HOWEVER the OS in my honest view is not quite as smooth as Samsung’s, it feels a bit pared back which i guess allows things to move much more quickly combined with a really strong processor so my mate at YouTube seems to say. I have to admit there are bits of the OS that just feel nicer with Samsung but comparing between the brands, this Oxygen OS thingy is just so very quick and like a Pixel so I am told.

Fingerprint is miles better than the Samsung I had and I love having a physical switch to turn of notifications, I would have to recommend that you get a case and a screen protector as it will no doubt crack without one. Saying that the range of cases is not great, the Spigen one recommended was poor so I found a nice one from OnePlus themselves which fits perfectly and keeps things small but protected.

Look its great, I really am impressed as i came into the Nord 2T with lower expectation but its such a nice phone with a really zippy OS and a great look and feel to the handset that I have to say this was a good move.

Usually keep phones for 1 or 2 years so lets see how things go…

Completely in love. Got it in November, battery is good, have no issues with phone. My main goal was a good camera. Love pictures I can capture with it. Compering price and quality I can’t imagine better phone.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve had a OnePlus 7T since 2019 and it was time for an upgrade as I wanted 5G and the fast charging appealed. The OnePlus 7T was a 500+ spend but I couldn’t justify that this time so I opted for the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G as it got great reviews. I’m not disappointed – it’s really fast and the Oxygen/Android 12 combo works really well on the 2T, it’s smooth and responsive. I don’t play games on my phone so I can’t rate it for gaming but for regular heavy day to day use -Youtube, Social Media, scrolling it’s fantastic. Plus it really does charge the battery from 0 to 99% in about 30 minutes! The screen is lovely and the build quality is really good. I wasn’t totally sure of the green at first but I like it now. Very pleased and I definitely recommend this phone.

Super fast charging with 80W charger. Overall its a decent phone with all the stock android features. Have been using OnePlus for many years now and would certainly recommend this Nord2T for anyone with less budget.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve only had this phone setup for a few days but so far so good.
It’s certainly faster than my previous phone and is able to take full advantage of the 500Mbs full fibre broadband we now have.
I do find it seems to use battery quicker than the old phone but it does charge rapidly with the charger included
I found the micro SD card port difficult to open. Did it eventually after several tries.
Got a surprise this afternoon when I wanted to connect my headset to the phone. It doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack socket. Apparently there are two options: either spend lots and buy new Bluetooth headset or spend a few pounds and get a USB-C to 3.5mm adaptor. Plenty on Amazon ranging from about 3 to about 8.

    Pros: very fast charging.
Cons: There is an issue with the phone’s software which causes the camera to freeze or shut off during video calls. Calls with Google meet will drop completely. Apparently this is a common issue with One plus Nord 02/02t but they haven’t released a software upgrade to fix it yet. Also, the front camera is average to say the least.

The camera isn’t the best even though it’s 50 megapixel main rear camera, it’s a fast phone the software and apps are run smoothly battery life isn’t great it runs down to 50% within two hours without hardly any use, the plug charger is amazing though super-charged power probably the fastest charging i have seen.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy Moto 6 has been on it’s last legs a while so I finally made a decision to go with the Nord 2T. I had admired the Nord 2 which my son had so this was an easy decision to go for this later, upgraded but slightly cheaper edition.

I have to say I am really impressed with this phone. Screen resolution is great, it is very fast and responsive and the UI is simple and intuitive. The battery life is really good but even better it charges up so quickly on the 80w charger. I will charge it for 30 minutes and it last a day! The camera is good too.

Overall: I highly recommend this phone. The positive reviews are well justified. It is a good value mid range work horse. If like me you are reluctant to make a decision on your new phone (there’s always the promise of a new model next month!), then I say go for this, you won’t be disappointed.

The OnePlus Nord 2T 5g was delivered as promised in a very sturdy and well presented box. Setting up was very easy. The Oxygen OS is clear to navigate, took a few days to familiarise myself , and bloat free with only a few additional apps and user friendly tools installed by Oneplus. Navigation of the web is very easy and very fast, I use Firefox, the phone connection is great and, for battery life I lower the refresh rate to 60, there is absolutely no hesitation in opening or using the apps. With 2 OS updates and 3 years of security updates promised I am seriously considering remaining a future Oneplus user. Using YouTube, the stereo sound and picture quality are great, is a breeze. I’m a previous Moto owner and user and in my middle 80s and I have found the switch, made due to promised updates, very easy. Charging time for the battery from around 20% to 100% is about 30 minutes. Update: battery life with, for me, not necessary uses such as always on disabled,2days plus.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersBought this to tide me over till the end of the year when I’m out of contract and can upgrade to a newer flagship, was at the end of my tether with my old phone.

    Pros –
Great Camera, on par with many flagships I’ve used in the past. Excellent low light and HDR performance. Average 4k video recording but good full hd.
Great system performance, no lag, no heat and very quick.
Amazing charging speed, literally increases a percentage every 15 seconds on the vooc charger.
Good screen, not the brightest or highest refreshrate, but very high quality 90hz FHD
Ram Boost, can use some storage to boost the ram from 8gb to 13gb if you want
    Great front facing camera.
Excellent ‘all day’ battery life, getting about 6 hours Screen on time over 15 hours use. Rarely have to charge in the day.

    Cons –
Some bugs which I’m sure OnePlus will fix, but they are quite annoying, for example, sometimes the phone cannot pick up any 4g/5g data, you have to manually turn off the data and back on. Also when in a low light environment the selfie cam seems to always default to light up the screen mode, even if you turn it off. Also sometimes the bluetooth disconnects from my car and needs manually reconnecting.

Not major issues but hopefully they are ironed out as it’s a fantastic phone.

I got this phone, as my last phone was a One Plus 3T and lasted just over 5 years. One Plus is a reliable brand, and everything about this phone is an upgrade on my 2016 model. I will always recommend this brand, having previously been loyal to another android brand leader.
The One Plus Nord 2T phone has good battery life, and is very quick to charge. It was really easy to set up too, and I hate setting up new tech!
I can’t commend in the ear buds, because I haven’t attempted to redeem.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent phone for the money. Had to return a Poco F3 due to the bugs making it unfit for purpose (it would ring random contacts when in my pocket with screen locked plus screen would go blank and unresponsive on calls) and I’m very impressed. The 80w fast charging gives me a 50% charge in 12 minutes so very happy with that plus I haven’t noticed any bugs in the 10 days I’ve been using it.

Amazon customer service was great when the first delivery for this phone turned out to be an Oscal phone worth 80. However, the same can’t be said for the earbuds offer as they were impossible to redeem.

I am so impressed with this phone, it’s absolutely brilliant for thebmoney. I haven’t ever bought this brand before (not heard of it tbh) until I checked the top mid price android phones on tech radar. I love its size, light weight, easy set up, intuitive features, responsive finger print. It’s really a diamond of a phone, came with a free silicone case as well. Flaws? Well there is no headphone jack at all and the battery needs a charge every day. But I can live with that!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSimilar to another review below, activating the earbud offer isn’t simple and didn’t happen automatically via the Red Cable Club on the phone. If you follow the link on the Amazon page and srlrc the second option for redeeming the voucher this worked for me. The phone itself is great. Super slick camera, OS is nice to use and feels like it is quality. My one gripe would be no headphone jac, hence why you need the free buds!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUpdate on my previous review… I have now chatted with a much more helpful member of staff at OnePlus and hopefully, the earbud issue will soon be resolved. Additionally, they are experiencing a glitch with their system regards registering your device to your OnePlus account. Should hopefully be resolved within 24 hours.
