I have relied on the Panasonic ER240B Beard Trimmer for years now. Been through 3 models. I loved the simple 2 battery power, cannot be doing with cables and charging stations in my kitchen. (We don’t have power sockets in bathrooms in UK).
But I needed a replacement real bad. Cos I have a relationship with Panasonic, I decided to try out Multishape. I got the Lithium battery 58 kit.
I do have to plug it in to a socket with the included cable, but what a relief that it does not come with one of those horrid display charging unit that you have to have on display somewhere!
This is probably the best cordless beard/hair trimmer device I have ever purchased…super glad I stuck with Panasonic.
If you are umming and ahhing about which beard/hair trimmer clipper to try, I strongly suggest giving Panasonic Multishape a go.
It’s got a few different attachments which make it handy for trimming body hair. For example, he prefers shorter underarm hair in summer as it keeps him cooler.
Lasts just over an hour per charge. He finds this is more than ample as each time he uses it is 20 minutes to so, and just puts it on for a quick top up after every other use.
I trim my hair at home using the cordless trimmer. The attachment heads allow me to use the trimmer for different purposes, such as shaving, trimming and detailing facial hair. The battery life is good, allowing me to use the trimmer three times before needing to recharge it. Its compact size makes it great for traveling. The best feature about this trimmer is that it’s waterproof; I can wash it under running water when needed without worrying about getting any of the attachments wet.”
A good quality panasonic hair trimmer that works really well and has good other style adaptor to it too.
Nice quality shaved. Gets up close for a good shave and doesn’t leave any patches. Good different variety of heads for different lengths. Quickly charges up for wireless usage and has a good battery life.

Even with this minor irratation of mine i still gave 5 stars as the onus is on the buyer to read the product description.
This trimmer is so ergonomic it is fantastic, feels so nice in your nice with a nice unuusual shape to it, nice weight as well which is quite important for me , with different inter chageable heads you have the option to choose your style.
Price wise this offers fantastic value for money especially from a brand as Panassonic who are probably better known for their electronics but stilla household name whom you can trust in for reliability, innovation and quaity of materials used.
once you use this you won’t want to go back to any other trimmer and you will want to buy the additional add ons.
I trim my hair every couple of weeks at home with the help of my wife. The old corded one worked well but cordless is much easier to use. There are 4 attachement heads to choose for your individual use and needs. Battery life is good. I have used it three times so far and battery is still going strong. Its compact size makes it great for travelling. The best feature I love about this trimmer is that it is water proof. I trim my hair in the shower just like I shave my beard, no mess at all.

We do like the modular design – it could be good value to add to the main unit and these hair/beard trimmers as you’re paying for just the extra “heads” as you already have the main body. The issue is though that other than the 3 blade shaver you might not be interested in the others (ear and nose trimmer and toothbrush head attachment). Or you have already invested in a good shaver or toothbrush and it’s not the right time to buy etc. Jury is out for us here. Great idea but not sure it will always work out.
Good battery – 60 mins to charge for 70 mins usage. Not the best we’ve tried but good none the less.
Easy to swap out the trimmer heads and easy to twist to adjust cutting length but you have to pay attention to the letter reference for each head. We would have preferred some form of colour differentiation rather than just letter but it’s intuitive once you’ve seen the letter on each head.
Excellent blades for smooth clean cuts and good weight and easy to use to control cuts and shaping.
Water proof for easy cleaning.
Basic travel pouch but would have preferred something slightly thicker for more protection.
No real issues – if you are looking to kit yourself out with more than one of the swappable heads then this can be great value – if not then it might be more expensive than other branded alternatives but this one is definitely good quality.
Over the COVID-19 lockdown I had to get my wife to cut my hair, I had a cheap set of clippers which did the job. She’s been called upon since on a couple of occasions when my favourite barber hasn’t been available, so I was more than happy to be offered these to review.
The clipper attachments give a good selection of ‘hair lengths’ – I go for a grade 4 (about 13mm) on the top of my head and grade 3 (about 10mm) around the sides. My wife finds the handle very comfortable to hold, it fits nicely in her hand so that she can get good control of it – which is vitally important for when she does around my ears. I don’t have a beard so I can’t comment on how good it is for that, however if it performs as well as it does as hair clippers, then beard wearing guys won’t be disappointed.
This trimmer is very well made, as you would expect from a Panasonic device. It comes with an extensive selection of attachments which makes it quite versatile for mens grooming needs. It charges up fairly quickly and has a good battery life. I find it strange that there isn’t a case to hold the main unit and attachments, all that you get is a soft fabric pouch – which isn’t really good enough, given the 119.99 price tag.
This is quite an expensive beard and hair trimmer set, but given the great quality – it is well worth the price.
I’ll start with my concerns. Firstly, you can only really unlock the full potential of this product if you purchase some of the accessories. This feels a little bit like a free game with so many in-app purchases that you need to buy to progress. The included accessories in the start kit is only really good for trimming, though if you want a sharp shave you’d need to purchase a 40 accessory, which will set you back a total of 140 for a face/body trimmer.
Though with that being said, the quality here is very good and I have had similar results in comparison to a Braun trimmer I had used in the past which set me back 250. I love just how universal this product is, its practically a transformer and will go from a hair trimmer to a toothbrush very quickly. The one issue I have with this is the hygiene as you’d need to constantly need to disinfect the product if you wanted to transform this into a toothbrush also. The toothbrush head is very expensive too at 30 each, so buying replacements will be very expensive in the long run. I’ll be personally avoiding this but its good to know that its also an option.
The product is fairly ergonomic and very easy to use. So easy to adjust via the dial on the top and remove/install different heads. The product is ideal for travellers too because of just how compact it is. It chargers fairly fast with a max battery life of 70 minutes. Plenty of time for a trim or even a close shave. Overall, a 4 star product by Panasonic, awesome features but would be nice to see all accessories under one pack rather than having to be sold separately.

This is a really good hair trimmer.
The trimmer looks sturdy made and should last.
The trimmer comes with 4 attachments – 3 of them(attachments A,B and C) are used for adjusting the trimming length and the 4th one is used for body trimming.
It is really easy to use the trimmer and really easy and precisely to adjust the desired trimming length.
There are steps from 1mm to 30mm of trimming length.
These steps are made into 3 different levels ,which are:
Level 1 – 1mm to 10mm ( uses attachment A )
Level 2 – 11mm to 20mm ( uses attachment B )
Level 3 – 21mm to 30mm ( uses attachment C )
The trimmer has a rechargeable battery that can be charged with the power adapter that comes in the pack.
The battery of the trimmer should last up to 70 minutes on a single full charge,but I personally charge it after each hair trim as I use it once every 2 – 3 weeks.
There are also a little brush for cleaning,a small bottle with lube and a storage pouch.
The trimmer is waterproof , which is great as it is way easier to clean it after use.
The price of 119.99 is a bit high for a trimmer,but the quality always comes on a premium price so the price seems to be fair.

This is such a good device for versatility. This comes with the shaver attachment but you can purchase others such as the toothbrush, razor or nose hair trimmer. This is amazing value and makes it easy to storage and take on the go.
The handle is comfortable and easy to hold as well as manoeuvring whilst cutting. It is waterproof so easily used in the shower with no worries about breaking.
The beard and hair trimmer comes with different attachments to allow for different lengths of hair to be achieved.
When this arrived and I looked at the price I did feel it was slightly expensive, but once I started taking it out of the box I could see why the quality is just amazing and has been made to last.
I have used this to cut my husband’s and sons hair and it really does do a brilliant job and it is so much easier because it is wireless, my husband has also used this to trim his body hair and he is also really happy with the result.
The only downside in my opinion is the sock kind of bag it comes with to store it in, I would have expected a plastic case or something where all of the items can be stored as you can buy other attachments for this.
Overall though this really is a good peice of kit and is well worth the money.
Micro adjustments to the length of your hair or beard can be done easily with a twist of the handle. The battery seems to last a good amount of time.
I’m disappointed that it has a dedicated charger rather than a USB connection as a universal charger would be so much better.
I’ve only used it to trim a beard, sideburns and neck, it works extremely well. There is the option to buy even more attachments too such as a toothbrush and nasal hair trimmer……
It’s a wet and dry groomer so you can use it in the bath or the shower without it breaking or you getting electrocuted.
All in all it’s a pretty decent device, balanced and not too heavy either. I won’t be shaving my chest or other private regions with it, but so far it’s worked well.

I ordered this Panasonic ER-CKL2, MULTISHAPE Modular Personal Care System for my husband but I was a little dubious about the size – it’s a lot slimmer than other trimmers. However, he says it is very sharp and manouvers around his face very well. It is waterproof so he can use it in the shower. He mainly uses this to trim his beard and he’s very happy with this.
The connector is not USB, but waterproof rechargeable electrical products always have the same (or similar) connector shape which is different to USB, so I have no problem with it.
This is a great trimmer, battery life is great and has so many accessories that I am not even sure if will ever use them all but it is still good to have them. I am sure Panasonic made this somehow waterproof but I just do not feel to try it. Also, lots of hair make their way to the motor so if you have thick hair like will have to get rid of them using the little brush this does not get rid of them all but it at least help. So overall a great product I just wouldn’t use it under the shower and wouldn’t “abuse” by cutting thick hair especially if you do not clean it often
The handle is cylindrical which meant I could move it around to whatever position I wanted.
This was a big upgrade from our current shaver. It was super easy to change the settings for cut length and you felt confident it was on the right setting. The heads were very easy to change and also easy to clean.
I loved how quick it was to charge and we haven’t yet had to recharge with weekly usage.
You get plenty of power but it’s still comfortable to use. The handle is cylindrical which meant I could move it around to whatever position I wanted.
You can also use the base to interchange with different heads such as a tooth brush so very convenient if you were travelling etc.
Overall good value, great design and works well.
Because they’re epic. First, they look amazing. who knew clippers could look amazing?! But they’re all matt black and sleek and sort of sexy-looking. They’re smaller than his other (much less good) clippers, too, and they fit in my hand much more comfortably. They’re genuinely nice to hold and use; they’re sort of balanced, and nicely weighted, and they run through his hair really smoothly.
You get various heads that you can clip into place instead, and then you can trim head, beard and body.
A really cool thing is how many choices you have for length: each attachment can give you multi-length options, as opposed to the 3 or 4 options you get with normal clippers.
But I suppose these aren’t normal clippers, seeing as you can trim pretty much all your body hairs, too. Husband does those ones himself, though.
And there’s another thing: its being modular means you can order other heads, and one of the heads (heads; attachments… whatever. I don’t know words) you can get is a toothbrush, meaning you have an electric toothbrush, too. That’s just straight nifty, that is. The toothbrush attachment isn’t included, but it’s a jolly clever idea and whether you travel a lot of just have limited storage, doubling up your clippers and toothbrush is extremely clever.
You can also order a nose hair trimmer and an electric shaver head so, really, this is potentially an all-in-one. You’ll need to pay extra for those added bits, mind.
What you do get, though, is extremely high quality.
So the reason it’s not 5 stars: first, the battery life is terrible. We got under an hour of charge on a full battery. Let’s say you’re brushing teeth, clipping head hair, shaving beard and trimming a bit off the ole bod, an hour just isn’t going to be enough.
And secondly: I hate the moral preening with the marketing. The modular system was made to meet a UN sustainability standard, and the blurb says something about feeling better in your heart and on your skin. Silence, brand. Using your product doesn’t make someone a Good Person.
It doesn’t need the cynical nonsense to sell it. If it’s a great product, that’s what sells it.
And, for the record, this is a great product.

The only negative (price aside, but as I said worth it) is the storage sock that it comes with.
It’s just a black velvet like pouch. I’d honestly expect a decent case to store everything with spaces for the add ons that you’re able to purchase!
This Panasonic trimmer came in it’s own box, very well presented and works perfectly, does exactly what it says.
Comes with 4 attachments, for short hair, for medium hair, for long beard and for body.
It is cordless which makes it easy yo use, and perfect for traveling.
The price is very high, seems to be a luxury item, but it doesn’t come with a base for storage accesories and the trimmer, only a sock-bag.

It’s all contructed to a high standard mostly plastic except blades and internal componants
It’s easy to use just simple on off button with a adjustable but secure guard
The shaver itself is like a battery unit with a shaving adapter I believe you can get a tooth brush head as a extra so that’s good that it can be a all in one expecially for travel
The guard is adjustable by turning clockwise and anticlockwise it cuts well after a couple of shaves and a hair trim today it’s impressive

I used it out the box without charging and it was fine for one shave I pushed my luck today to see how long I would get and it ran out midway
I thought great I have half a beard for a hour while it charges but luckily it can be used while plugged in but better still I checked the charge
It had been on for less than 5 mins recharging and I took it off amazingly I finished my beard and head with no trouble at all so the thing charges super fast and holds charge well it says it lasts around 70 mins but I’d bet its longer
Good quality throughout and a perfect gift for any man I would be over the moon if someone got me this and Panasonic are a well established brand so guarantee / warentee etc will be honoured and with 58 length settings that’s just a crazy amount of choices highly recommended
It’s difficult to review precisely everything this trimmer offers. Yes. It is pricey but it’s the most sleek multi function trimmer I have seen.
It comes with a few comb attachments and then the dial adjusts the trimmer to how you want your trim. The comb then moves to the right angle! You can use it wet or dry and only takes an hour to fully charge. This applies to all the combs. You get a pouch and cleaning tools.
It is modular because you can also buy different heads for it like a toothbrush head so that when you travel you only take one tool with some attachments!
I would say for the price, thr storage pouch could be better as it’s just a thin fabric pouch which won’t last if sharp edges catch it. Other than that this is quite a stylish piece of kit to keep any area of your body nicely trimmed.
As soon as you open the package, you can feel that this is a high quality precision engineered product. It all fits together snugly, and it’s really well thought out. It could rerally have done with a remaining battery read-out, and ideally a longer battery life (although I acknowledge that the limited battery life is a price that you pay for having such a compact and premium feeling hand set / battery pack).
The fact that this is the foundation element for a grooming regime is a big plus, and makes it feasible to put together a small package for going on a month’s holiday without having to pack an extra suitcase for grooming essentials.
Weighed against that convenience and premium feeling, though, is the price. At current prices, the base element is currently 120, the ER-CTB1 toothbrush is 40, the ER-CNT1 nose hair trimmer is 20, and the ER-CSF1 razor is 40, so in essence you’re paying 220 for a high quality and very convenient grooming setup. Given that you can get a set of corresponding items from other manufacturers (albeit not as nicely designed or produced) at a small fraction of this price, it moves firmly into the “luxury” category.
If you’ve a special occasion coming up for somebody about whom you truly, deeply, care, or if you have the disposable resources to allow you to pack this up for throwing into the back of your Bugatti Veyron on the way to your personal yacht, then this is highly recommended. For “normal” people though, this is definitely on the overly expensive side!
It’s easy to look at this, and think that it is expensive. It certainly isn’t cheap. However, as soon you start to examine it, you’ll see why. This is seriously high quality, I very much doubt you could find better. Everything about it shouts precision, from the settings adjustment to attachment placing, everything moves and fits perfectly. The whole thing has a satisfying weight and feel about it
My wife cuts my hair, and to be honest the current hair trimmer we have is pretty good and works well, but compared with this one though, it’s not a patch. As well as a body-hair comb attachment, there are 3 x hair trimming attachments, each with a graded scale, so it’s really easy to set to the precise length. The really great thing with this is that it is modular, and you can buy separately, toothbrush head and shaver head, a nice touch.
This really is excellent quality, with lots of good features, a fantastic hair trimmer, and to be fair, exactly as I expected it to be, being Panasonic. As a brand, it is totally premium, and you know it will be good. I would definitely describe this as a professional quality trimmer, probably even better than the sort many barbers use.
Ergonomically, it’s extremely comfortable to use, and does the job perfectly. The trimmer has an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery, taking an hour to charge, which gives 70 minutes operating time before recharge needed. That is perhaps a little bit of an achilles heel, since many other have far higher capacity. There is included a quality PSU charger (not USB)
The trimmer only has 1 x speed, and doesn’t have a charge remaining indicator (as others do) either, which is a pity, just an LED blink when you turn off. It does come with oil and brush. The soft storage pouch is quite small (totally different to the one shown. You can get everything in, apart from the charger though — again, a shame, but not a great issue.)
This is a wet and dry trimmer, great for multiple uses, and making it easy for cleaning too.
This is a top quality hair trimmer, with add-on capability, that’s really well-made. Not cheap, but top Panasonic quality. and reasonably good value. Being Panasonic you know accessories and spares will be easily obtainable. Recommended.
