SmartImage pre-sets for easy optimised image settings

SmartImage is an exclusive leading edge Philips technology that analyses the content displayed on your screen and optimises your display performance. This user-friendly interface allows you to select various modes, like Office, Photo, Movie, Game, Economy etc., to fit the application in use. Based on the selection, SmartImage dynamically optimises the contrast, colour saturation and sharpness of images and videos for ultimate display performance.

Less eye fatigue with Flicker-Free technology

Due to the way brightness is controlled on LED-backlit screens, some users experience flicker on their screen which causes eye fatigue. Philips Flicker-Free technology applies a new solution to regulate brightness and reduce flicker for more comfortable viewing.

LowBlue Mode for easy-on-the-eyes productivity

Studies have shown that just as ultra-violet rays can cause eye damage, shortwave-length blue light rays from LED displays can cause eye damage and affect vision over time. Developed for well being, the Philips LowBlue Mode setting uses a smart software technology to reduce harmful shortwave blue light.

I was really surprised with these screens when they arrived. I wanted nice clean and simple screens, nothing with a wide frame around them, I wanted two of them and I didn’t want to pay a huge amount. These screens have ticked all those boxes. They were easy to set up and the picture quality is really good and with good options for different screen settings. The speakers aren’t fantastic but they do the job for watching a quick video but definitely not for watching a movie or listening to music through them.

If you need some minimal screens and you aren’t doing anything that requires ultra high definition work then these will do the job very well. They are also great for playing games on.

Nice monitor, don’t purchase though if your using it in the shack, this thing kicks out a load of RFI… Obviously poor sheilding.

Ordered 2x screens which arrived quickly. Worth noting you will need to receive in person.
I use the screens for work and personal use on a dual arm monitor stand and they are absolutely perfect for what I need. Resolution and picture quality is great, sound output is good too

I bough this monitor as a second screen to read pdfs and generally improve productivity. I’m a 3D artist for a living and this screen sits next to another higher quality 4k Philips screen. Compared to my higher quality screen this thing is nowhere near as good so I wouldn’t recommend for serious graphics.

However if you’re not doing serious colour work and you don’t need 4k this thing is fine for everyday use and a decent screen for the price point. Pleased to see it also has the Low Blue Mode same as my higher spec screen which is a decent feature if you’ve got a load of info to read late at night.

The speakers seem fine if you want to save desk space but I personally use my actual speakers.

The one thing that lets this down is the dreadful stand, this thing wobbles everywhere, I’ve leaned the left side up against my other screen to keep it stable which works well but this would annoy the hell out of me if it was one screen in the middle of my desk wobbling every time I moved.

I had a good look around for a new monitor to use as part of a WFH set up. I wanted something Full HD but didn’t want to pay the world. This fitted the bill perfectly. Great (sharp) picture quality and easy to set up – literally plug and play. As it only has one HDMI I purchased a splitter and so can run my work laptop and personal Surface Pro at the same time.

Make sure you change your colour to “User Define” for a better colour setting, also make sure that you change your screen refresh rate to 75 in the Windows display settings.

Got this for a second monitor; it delivers really well at the price of purchase (149.97); the colour accuracy and contrast ratio are almost on-par with my 400 Alienware monitor, so I think this is a great purchase for anybody aiming to use this as their first monitor.
The speakers are present, but they’re only good as a backup
Wall mountable is a great addition, surprisingly hard to find for a monitor at this price range
No USB slots at the back of the device, unfortunately 🙁

Works straight from the box, plug and play so ideal. Bought one each for work and for my Dad. No issues

Had it for some time now and I am extremely pleased.
Used exclusively for work as for movies/games I’m using my 32″ curved monitor.
Paired with another Philips monitors (32″ curved) it has handled the job gracefully.

For those who like myself are not too keen on Samsung and LG over the top contrast and fake colours style I would highly recommend this monitor for general use such as movies, work, some games. Not sure how would work on shooting or football games though as I’m not playing such games
Clarity, colours, contrast, brightness, no dead pixels, money well spent.

Replaced today by the second Philips 32″ curved monitor, will continue to be in use to a lesser degree.

Just love this monitor, I highly recommend this product, I just wish I could have afforded the 32″ option.
I have nothing negative to say about my monitor, excellent value for money and excellent screen clarity.

Great screen, just what I needed, now that transitioning from office to home working. No issues with clarity or flickering. A great buy if you’re looking for a big screen that is value for money.

I’ve had this for a month now but the only problem is that today the monitor started turning on and off. Luckily if you have this problem just take out the socket and put it back in. Over all it’s amazing for games, watching and it’s own picture quality.

This monitor produces great quality images. Very happy with the product. However, whilst its wonderful to have built in speakers, the sound quality is very tinny (i.e., seems to neglect some of the lower sound ranges, such as bass).

For a single gaming monitor, I would highly recommend, but if sound quality is critical, I would consider getting a stand alone sound system.

I bought this initially for use with my xbox one, as it has built in speakers, but I’m now using it for a pc too, it’s good for what I need and have now mounted it on a desk mount. The sound isn’t great, but you can solve this with additional speakers.

I have bought another one for similar price and it was very bad. I do not play games so cannot comment. But this is great for watching TV/videos. It is visible from all angles. The picture quality is better than on my computer. I use it every day for almost two years and it is still the same. Our company offered to buy us new monitors and i think i will buy a second one.

I paid just over one hundred quid for this on Prime day. That’s an epic low price for what is a perfectly good monitor that would meet the needs of most people using a PC unless they are avid gamers.

I actually used this as a monitor for my CCTV instead of PC and the picture is clear and sharp with my 4K cameras.

Construction belies the super low price.

Bottom line is that it’s hard to get ones head around how good value this is.

easy to use, good value and graphic, will expect some light leak from the edge of the backpanel in dark images due to price point but don’t affect most daily usage. Recommend

It’s the monitor that I was looking for, not too expensive but good enough for casual gaming.
Shame that I have one pixel that is burnt but is not creating me any problem during the usage.

Picture quality and colors are very good, played 4k video on both hitachi 4k TV and on this monitor, this one showed real colors. Using for coding 8 hours a day, comfortable for eyes, only that depending on the room lighting need to change mode to economy, or movie etc. Sound quality is very bad, don’t use this monitor speakers, use laptop speakers instead

Needed to upgrade my monitor due to home working and found this 27″ was perfect for my desk space. Full HD picture, decent sharp image and pretty easy to use when snapping windows to each side to give a 50/50 split.

The only downside is the monitor defaults to HDMI if you have an active HDMI connection regardless of the last input selected.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOnly 60 mhz so not the absolute best for gaming, where extremists normally want around 144mhz refresh rates but for a budget price this is an excellent-qualiy monitor with excellent clarity, colour saturation and small edge bezels, and it looks great when set up. Personally I’m happy to run AAA games at 60 fps, so no complaints here. Would thoroughly recommend for anyone where 60 fps is acceptable, including workstations, video watching and editing, general use and non-competitive extreme gaming…I’d happily run 3 in split-screen for multi-monitor gaming too. Picked mine up for around 120, well worth it at that price.

Seems ok. No issues since using it. Some have stated speakers not that good bit I have found them adequate for the size room the monitor is in.

Looks good with the three sides almost borderless and bottom side smart.

Buttons easily accessible and intuitive to use.

    Comes packaged well.

This is a very good screen for work use but the stand is a design horror, its far to small for the size of screen and just leaning on the desk (solid oak) causes it to wobble all over the place and the webcam to fall off. Will now have to buy a wall mount. Even so at the price +20 for a wall bracket its good value

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI got this to stick an Apple TV on the back, thus making a small Smart TV that was way more smart than an actual smart one at anything approaching the price. In built speakers are fine for feedback, but shocking (as expected) for actual listening. But I had always planned to use a bluetooth soundboard from the Apple TV anyway. It turns off when the Apple TV turns off through the Apple remote, and sound is handled the same. At 94 it’s incredible value if you don’t need good sound or a remote control

I bought this item to improve my home working, and it hasn’t let me down. Some of the other reviews are correct in saying the sound isn’t great and I would not consider using the monitor for entertainment (music / gaming / television). But for it’s price; the screen is sharp, the width / aspect is good and the volume is enough for video calls and information videos / news. Very pleased with product.

I bought a different cheaper make after this one for a another PC setup, and it did not work properly on one of the systems. This unit has minimal frame, which is noce, although, means that a webcam will tend to obscure a bit of the top screen if used. I did not realise it had onbaord speakers, but there not very good, so I don’e use them.

Bought this to replace a monitor in the office. Good quality all round, and display is almost to the edge, unlike some monitors where the size seems to include a lot of frame. Only complaint i have – which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 – is that the power cable is annoyingly short. Ended up buying one separately to avoid having to use an extension cable. If it just had an extra metre of cable this screen would have been perfect.

A great product, at a great price, if it had a USB it would have been a fantastic buy.
Multiple connections, make this a winner at this price, a great product for office work, and a movie.
    A great buy.

It is a nicely made screen with good image quality and good value, but the speakers are really ineffective. I ended up adding external speakers, which is not ideal (I chose this model because it had internal speakers to save space).

Very less frame lag happned while I am using ps4 pro but it’s ok as the color saturation is very cool and good picture quality.
I played modern warfare and god of war and spiderman so far it’s a good was quality. After all it’s FULLHD .

The display is excellent, much better when editing videos. In fact I had to turn down the screen to its lowest as it was too bright. BUT the sound is just plain weedy, way quieter than the 20″ that it replaced. I don’t need high quality, but when editing multiple sound tracks I need to hear clearly, so I can adjust the various levels properly. Yes I could use sound dipping, but find that can be as much a hindrance as help, so prefer to tweak to get the result I want. I have bought a separate sound bar to sort this.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis was purchased to replace a faulty Samsung LED screen and it did not disappoint. The monitor was well packaged, nicely made and has a functional look. The display is easy to set up and is bright and vibrant. Blacks are not quite as crisp as on more expensive monitors but for daily use with office packages and YouTube viewing the screen has an adequate quality. It comes with a good range of accessories including an S-VGA cable (in 2019!). Keeping in mind the cost this is a very good option for those who don’t need gaming quality displays and who don’t want to spend extra for cosmetic features.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI’m talking after few months after I bought this screen. (I paid it 160) I found what I was looking for. I’m a graphic designer so I noticed every little thing and I have to say that for the price and the size of the screen I think it’s worth it. Nothing to complain about, colours are great and it’s bright enough. Also I like gaming and for a PS4 this screen it’s perfect as well.
