Less eye fatigue with Flicker-Free technology

Due to the way brightness is controlled on LED-backlit screens, some users experience flicker on their screen which causes eye fatigue. Philips Flicker-Free technology applies a new solution to regulate brightness and reduce flicker for more comfortable viewing

LowBlue Mode for easy-on-the-eyes productivity

Studies have shown that just as ultra-violet rays can cause eye damage, shortwave-length blue light rays from LED displays can cause eye damage and affect vision over time. Developed for wellbeing, the Philips LowBlue Mode setting uses a smart software technology to reduce harmful shortwave blue light.

Cable management reduces cable clutter for a neat workspace

Cable management is an intimate design that maintains a tidy workspace by organising the cables and wires required for the operation of a display device.

SmartContrast for rich black details

SmartContrast is a Philips technology that analyses the contents you are displaying, automatically adjusting colours and controlling backlight intensity to dynamically enhance contrast for the best digital images and videos or when playing games where dark hues are displayed. When Economy mode is selected, contrast is adjusted and backlighting fine-tuned for just-right display of everyday office applications and lower power consumption.

I got this as a great deal
It’s quality is phenomenal I love it
Phillips has always been great for as long as I can remember in my family we have always trusted Phillips and the technology has come so far now so I’ve tested this and I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a screen for movies ,games ,or music studio editing

When opened, there were finger prints on the screen which was very disappointing. I found it easy to setup and seems to be working just fine thus far. I’m a little concerned over how darkish the screen is and cannot see to brighten it up much. Disappointing to only have one HDMI connection.

Bought 2 of these to run side by side. Software development / systems admin.
Great real estate. Using in conjunction with Windows Power Toys – FancyZones
    Running native resolution of 3480 x 2160 @ 125% zoom.
    The built-in KVM works well.
Don’t use the audio. It is useless.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBig improvement over my previous monitor which was 10 years old but still hd and working well. Wanted an upgrade and this fitted the bill. The 4k really makes things clear. At my age I think I would struggle to see any difference between this and a monitor costing thousands of pounds. I use this for photo editing and it is ideal for the job. Great product at great price.

bought this monitor with a Black Friday offer.
The price is amazing and the quality is great.
I mainly use it to watch video and works very well for me.
It is slightly more energy efficent compared to similar items.
The assembly is easy and overall the design of the monitor is alright.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought 2 of these to use with a Mac Studio, both came with a calibration sheet – no they’re not all the same but the difference between them is marginal and well with a Delta E of <2 for colour accuracy. Been using them for a while now and i'm happy with them, having such a sharp crisp image at 4k means far less eye strain using illustrator/photoshop etc. all day long.
For the price you really can't go wrong

    This review is for the Philips 288E2UAE – 28 Inch 4K UHD Monitor, 60Hz, 4ms, IPS, Speakers, Height Adjust, USB Hub (3840 x 2160, 300 cd/m, HDMI / DP / USB 3.2)

I wanted a high resolution monitor for general use and photography. I use the HDMI port to connect to a desktop PC and the Display Port to connect to a Surface docking station. The inbuilt USB hub allows me to easily switch keyboard, mouse and peripherals between desktop and docking station for use with the laptop. Monitor setting adjustments are through on-screen-display. The height adjustment is adequate and easy to use. The power supply is a separate brick and is completely silent

The picture quality is good and more than adequate for my needs. The OSD adjustments are easier to make than I expected using the rear of monitor adjuster. The sound quality is not high but it is perfectly adequate for my needs and if I wanted better I would attach external speakers.
The PIP and PBP features appear to work well but I do not see myself using them much if at all.

My only gripe is that the OSD adjuster is at the back of the monitor, easily reached yes, but it would be much more convenient if located on the front.

All in all I am very pleased with this monitor. At this price range it is excellent value and quality. Five stars.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI have just bought it and have used it only for one full day.
The monitor seems to be great, except for the fact that it comes with a defect which is that the monitor in the stand is uneven (lower on the left side than on the right) by quite a lot actually (~1-2cm).
I am only writing this because I also benefit from other people’s reviews.
If I was going to buy again, I wouldn’t buy this product for that reason, and would instead buy a similar product (same size, resolution, etc.) for 290 from Currys which I also came across during my (re)search. That one is even slightly better than this one overall. The reason why I ended up buying this one was because the price at the time I ordered mine (a week ago) was 236 (now is 288.73 – crazy, I know) which was 54 cheaper.
When I ordered mine, I read Longjohn’s review (at the time the only UK review for the 28″ 4K Height Adjustable model), but I thought that maybe it was just an isolated case. But beware, it’s not!
In my case, I just don’t want to go through the hassle of returning the product. I have put something under the left side of the stand which evens it out (and that took me a few hours to make perfect). But yeah, something you should not be expected to do when you buy a brand new monitor, not to mention that it doesn’t look good.
