Had to watch a YouTube video to see how to get the head off as there is no tab and didn’t want to break it,came across a video of some guy who sounded like Dracula and he liked it so much he got carried away,he was very hairy like my Greek hubby and first started with his hands,a mistake my hubby has made in the past and ended up looking like he’s got a mohair jumper on ! He then did one arm ,we were like “oh no dude now you will have to do both” he did, they guess what,he did his legs! Not even joking ,hubby is not pleased because now he knows I’m going to steal it,he then showed how it can be used for hair cuts,no good for hubby he’s bald like Ming the merciless, the man was very entertaining,I may subscribe to him,he told us the only downside is that it takes about five weeks to charge,no sorry 15 hours,oh well that’s a small downside for what is a powerful little unit, I held it and it nearly vibrated my hand off ,I didn’t like the feeling at all but some ladies could make use of it for something else I guess*cough* oh and I’m so glad it has a nasal trimmer, saves me buying a garden strimmer to get rid of both our middle aged nasal hair jungles, that’s a bonus

For a value hair & beard trimmer this is ok. It’s small and lightweight, tried on my beard and head and it did the trick. Charged it overnight and it did my head & beard without any sign of the battery dying. The build quality is as expected for the budget price

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have been using this beard trimmer for several weeks now. It is well made for the price. Holds charge very well. Does what it says in the tin.

The nose hair trimmer does not work very well. I still find myself using scissors.

The beard trimmer sprays the beard all over the place. So be sure to keep a vaccume cleaner handy.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersBought one of those newer stupid ugly looking razors for your groin made “for women” and they’re awful and take too long. This, however, is so easy. The slide on off switch means a stupid button doesn’t get in the way when you’re shaving intimate areas that take contorting in the shower to pull off. The guards keep me from slicing my bits off and the way it cuts doesn’t pull out any hairs, only cuts them as it should. Had to stop using razors because of a problem I developed with ingrown hairs so had to switch to electric trimmers and the ones that look like _o_ this with razors on the sides and a cylindrical car in the middle just do not get in the crevices like they need to. They also cause ingrown hairs just as much especially when mostly it’s like using an epilator because they pull out more hairs than they shave. This beautiful contraption however ONLY shaves the hairs and I haven’t yet had an uncomfortable experience of even one hair being pulled. If you’re a man and want this for your beard? Go for it, if I had one I’d buy another one just for it. If you want to use this for trimming your own hair? Absolutely, this comes with so many lengths for the guards it would be perfect for you or doing a loved ones hair. It even comes with a nose trimmer!! Adding and taking off the guards is so easy so it’s easy to clean and taking off the trimmer part itself to swap it for the nose trimmer was a little harder but I did get it eventually and assume it would be easy with time. Brill. I’ll buy this again when mine eventually dies out.

I have tried numerous brands including some of the cheaper Chinese products. This is high quality, gives a great shave and lasts ages on one charge. Plus it is a trusted brand. Highly recommend!

I have not had this trimmer long nor do I have beard, use it only for trimming edges of my hair and nose trimmer.
The trimmer is of good quality and fairly strong and blades are very sharp making a good clean straight cut.

Sp far I am very happy with it.

Really impressed with this at the price, it’s powerful, has lots of attachments, still on its firsts charge 2 weeks later. Not intending to use for haircuts although it’d probably be fine, perfect for beards.

I tested out today and can confirm it is a great clipper. I wasn’t expecting it to be that good due to the price, but was surprised at how good it was. Its powerful for its small size and came with attachable heads of various depths and a nose Trimmer attachment. You can also take off the main blade to clean the inside and blade. The only small downsides is that there’s no indicator to show when fully charged and it takes 16 hours to charge from dead to full. Saying that It does last for 1 hour once charged fully. Highly recommend!

I am very happy with the product. The results are perfect. On my second use the trimer stops working and i was upset that it gets broken on 2nd use , i put it on charge for 4 to5 hours but it didn’t works , So i order the replacement which arrived very quickly. but the first machine after one day on full charge starts working perfectly. I was feeling guilty about making false claim. So any one who is new to this machine please make sure you charge it for a whole day before using it. no doubt the results are exceptional and 100%. Sorry to the seller for inconvenience.

Perfect easy to use beard trimmer for any body hair. Stays charged long enough to be used about 5 times, and does take a little while to recharge. Lots millimetre guard options for different lengths. High quality item that feels sturdy, and amazing value for money.

My previous trimmer was a Braun, and that felt substantial and the guides were the right length. I was going to get another one, but the price of this one caught my eye. This one is smaller, more buzzy and the guides are either too short or too long for me. There is no length adjustment on the unit. Does the job okay.

Hair trimmer does the job but the head of the trimmer is different from standards ones and I feel it limits the directions of the trim you want especially at areas such as the hairs above the upper lip or cheekbones I feel your view is limited always afraid going to trim to deep or too much

Will be keeping this review updated. So far after only a couple uses of it (beard only).

It seems to cut evenly but I need to let my beard grow out a little before I trim it back – I usually keep it to maybe 3mm or 4mm long, so pretty tight and short. And use a blade for cheek edges and neck line. However when it grows out I’ll trim it back and also do my usual weekly body hair trim. Those are the real tests.

However – so far it’s good. Quality of it feels nice, it’s easy to grip, simple to charge, simple to detach and reattach comb lengths. Not tried the nose or ear trimmer yet. It came with a soft drawstring mini-bag for it which isn’t very useful.

I bought this to replace a 20 one and i am really pleased with it.
It’s solid and relatively heavy for me makes it feel like a good piece of kit which a barber could use.
Once charged it has fantastic battery life.

blades are sharp easy to give yourself a good hair cut, cuts evenly only thing is i can’t seem to get the blades off some say the same way as you get the combs off but that don’t seem right to me no indication that it’s charged but just wait until the supplied charger goes cool, takes a long time to charge fully but once charged lasts for ages. the combs supplied are accurate glad i bought this one

Needed a trimmer as soon as and this did the job. It was nicely priced and does the job. You get a load of trimmer heads and it is amazing.

I use it to cut to stubble length and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s not the best for a clean clean shave but it’s almost there and I would recommend it if you’re in need of a trimmer.

Had this for about 3.5 years, with both me and my brother using it frequently. It has only recently died. Only issue with it is that it does not operate when plugged in, which is a bit of a pain when it dies mid-shave. Typically only a minor inconvenience, but if you don’t have an hour to spare for it to charge enough to finish the shave then you’re kind screwed. RIP to my trimmer, you served me well

It does everything you need a razor to do, however, like any wireless device it’s charge fades over time. It does come with an array of different heads, but I’d be lying to you – prospective reader – if I knew the specific purpose behind half of them. None of them cut close to the skin, at best you’ll get a dapper 5 o’ clock shadow.

A nice note, I lost my charger, no idea where. Most of the time, if that happens with a device – you’d have to buy a new “thing” altogether. Phillips are better than that, they sell all manner of replacement goodies on there website. Which, if your a clumsy boy like me, is an absolute life saver.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s hard to find a shaver that won’t be too slow or just conk out on you after a week of use. Thankfully this shaver hasn’t done me wrong 2 weeks in. The button is bloody hard to turn on casually though, needs some force behind it.

If it breaks before a year (01/07/2023) I will update this. If not then take this as it having been a great long term shaver.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersHaving a well-groomed appearance is a necessity in today’s fast-paced world, and the Philips 7-in-1 All-In-One Trimmer, Series 3000 Grooming Kit has swiftly become my trusty companion in this endeavour. As someone who values efficiency and versatility in personal grooming tools, I was quickly taken by the array of features and user-friendly nature of this trimmer.

To start, the 7 different attachments cover almost all grooming needs. Whether you’re tidying up a thick beard, subtly trimming stubble, adjusting the hairline, or even dealing with those pesky nose and ear hairs, this kit is up for the task. Having used various grooming sets in the past, I found this one particularly adept at handling my thick beard hair, where others have simply surrendered.

The self-sharpening blades are an absolute game-changer, performing as well as they did on day one, even after months of regular use. The blade maintains its sharpness, effectively delivering clean, precise trims with little effort. A potential downside for some might be the narrowness of the clipper blade, which may require additional passes for a thorough hair cut, but this is hardly a dealbreaker considering the overall functionality.

It’s worth mentioning the 60-minute cordless run-time, which provides ample duration for detailed grooming sessions. While cordless grooming is a sheer joy, the lengthy 16-hour charge time, unfortunately, lags behind modern standards. Additionally, there’s no battery life indicator which can be a bit bothersome, as the trimmer may run out of power unexpectedly.

One element that did strike me as a missed opportunity is the lack of a USB charging option. This feature is quite standard in many devices nowadays, and it’s rather surprising to see Philips, a renowned brand, lagging behind smaller brands in this respect. A USB-C charging port would certainly have been appreciated, helping to reduce clutter, e-waste, and boost the device’s overall convenience.

However, the water-resistant feature adds significant convenience, allowing for quick and easy rinsing of the blades and combs. I even tested its claim of being usable in the shower, and it passed with flying colours. The storage pouch is also a nice touch, keeping the attachments tidy and making the kit portable and travel-friendly.

The user manual, although devoid of written instructions, does include a series of images that provide enough guidance for most users. If you encounter any issues, the Philips Consumer Care team seems readily available, and their responses to customers’ queries were prompt and helpful.

In summary, the Philips 7-in-1 All-In-One Trimmer, Series 3000 Grooming Kit is an excellent grooming tool for those seeking versatility and durability at a reasonable price. Although there’s room for improvement in terms of the charging system and blade width, the benefits it offers far outweigh these shortcomings.

    Pros:

    * Seven attachments for all-in-one grooming
    * Self-sharpening blades provide clean, sharp lines
    * 60 minutes of cordless use
    * Rinseable attachments and waterproof design
    * Convenient storage pouch

    Cons:

    * Lack of a USB charging option
    * Long battery charging time of 16 hours
    * No battery life indicator
    * Narrow blade width for hair cutting may require additional passes

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe machine cuts well. If it does… You need to push start it after a while of not using by dismantling the head and give a spin with fingers to that crankhead inside. Like an old mobile from 19th century. It’s a bit sharp on the cutting edges so got cut here and there a few times. I had before a long lasting Phillips 3 in 1 and it was great, much better blade but this is twice cheaper so it comes with that.

I thoguht I lost my charger and I tried to buy a replacement cable / charger for it. I was sent something which doesn’t work with it so if you lose it you may have a problem finding anything to charge it up.

That’s all. Not bad but but too good either.

Golden Review Award: 344 From Our UsersFor years I used professional clippers to cut my hair and beard. I ran an extension lead into the bathroom to sort out my hair and beard, something that I was not exactly comfortable about. Bathrooms and extension leads are not a good combination. Eventually I found some clippers here on Amazon that cut my hair brilliantly and were cordless. These are still my favorite hair clippers, but they are not very good at sorting out my beard. I have been letting my beard grow until I got fed up of it and then cutting it off and starting again.

I purchased another grooming set for my beard a few months ago and it was absolutely useless. The teeth in the clipper blade were too narrow to cut my thick beard hair and it ended up in the drawer gathering dust. So I was back to growing it again and I reached the point where I was fed up of it a few days ago. I decided to try another grooming set and after a fair bit of research I settled on this one. Please see the attached video for my detailed review.

The clippers are just what I was looking for. They dealt with my beard with ease. I tried cutting my hair and they will get that job done too. My only criticism is that the clipper blade is a bit narrow for hair cutting and you need way more passes to cut it properly. Not a big issue, but anyone who cuts their own hair like I do, will know the compulsion to keep going over it to make sure that you have not missed anywhere. A small blade leaves more room for error.

There are a good selection of combs 3 for your hair (9, 12, 16mm), three for your beard (1, 2, and an adjustable comb 3 to 7mm) and one body hair comb (3mm). The adjustable comb for the beard is great and I reckon it will be the one I use permanently. The blade is great on its own for detailing longer areas of your beard or hairline and there is also a much narrower blade for finer detailing work. There is a shaver attachment and I tried this, it was partially successful, but not really up to the task. I think that the foil holes are too small, on finer hair I think it would be fine. The nose and ear clipper works well. Once you are finished you just rinse the clippers under the tap to clean the attachments. The set is waterproof and there is an answered question above, in the questions section, where the manufacturer says that using it in the shower is OK.

The instructions are pretty poor and consist of several pages of images and no text, so no actual written instructions – poor show Philips. You are informed that the battery needs to be charged for 16 hours before use. Unfortunately, there is no indication of when the battery is fully charged or when it is running out of power – another poor choice. I will just charge mine for a few hours every other time I use them. There are 80 minutes usage time on a full charge. 16 hours is a ridiculously long time to charge a battery for nowadays! It has to be said though, that cordless grooming is a pure joy and far safer.

The blades do not require oiling and are self sharpening, I have no idea how they do that, but the unit comes with a 4 year guarantee, so they must be confident that they will work that long. The clippers have a nice feel to them with a soft rubber grip. They are very quiet to use and fitting/removing the attachments and combs is easy.

I like this product and am very happy to have found a grooming set that can deal with my beard for not too much outlay. After a few minutes use I was left looking considerably more handsome than I was before I started (remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder). Mind you, my wife never seemed to notice, but at least she never asked me why I had shaved my beard off, because this time I did not have to! Not itching under my chin and around my neck anymore has left a huge smile on my face. It is good to be able to sort out my beard easily again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Deals with my thick beard where others have failed. A good all round grooming kit!
