As a product it’s faultless: quickly installed, colour spectrum matches other Hue lamps, and it’s great to have clamp that can go as bright as a 100w bulb if needed.
However, it’s much wider and longer than the original Hue lamps. It doesn’t sit in the shade quite as well as the lamp I replaced – this could be an issue if your shade is a close fit.
Bought this for my garage gym as I wanted a white temperature and bright bulb. This replaced the “dumb” 1600 lumen white bulb I had previously and gives off an identical brightness. It’s quite expensive for a single bulb but I managed to grab it on sale, I don’t think I’d have paid full price but it does exactly what you expect. No connectivity problems from hue as always.
Far easier to use than other products advertising similar technology. Straight forward installation and a 5 year old cold connect them. Took less than 5 minutes from arrival of the delivery to illuminating the living room.
