Very good home epilator, has been very effective on legs and arms. Even comfortable to use on my face as well. Not too loud when in use, and the battery is great – so I’m not having to plug it back in after every use. Not lightweight but by no means too heavy to hold comfortably.

This is an excellent Epilator, very powerful, remove hair in one time, even is cordless. I had and Philips ceramic epilator for 11 years, and swap for the essencial model (more cheaper and with cord) that not really worked. So now I spend more money in this new model and a I am very happy, is the same great product like I had but with new features!!

So impressed! I suffer from PCOS and waxing/threading your face yourself is the most painful and time consuming thing. Waxing has also stripped my skin from the surface leaving it quite sore and red for at least 24 hours. I used this for 5-10 mins just to test on cheeks and chin and yes there’s the expected redness after but nowhere near as sore as waxing and I couldn’t believe how quick it was along with the results. My hairs are not very corse but dark, visible and can get a little long. If you’re used to facial waxing or threading on a regular basis, pain won’t be too much of an issue. It was really easy to use as well. I’m kind of having a where has these been for the last 7 years of my life moment! If this keeps working the way it does I’m never going to need to go to a salon for facial waxing again!

Over the years I’ve switched between Braun and Philips brands but the last purchase I made with Braun I found I had to purchase the extra attachments at an additional price which has really put me off because the unit from Braun is much more expensive than Philips. Performance wise I think Braun & Philips go hand in hand competing with each other so it makes choosing from the 2 brands a difficult one so Braun has lost the battle when it comes to its attachments. With the Braun one you can change the rotation from forwards to reverse where as the Philips one it gives you 2 rotation speeds instead. I often like to epilate and exfoliate etc in the evening whilst my baby is in bed and I’m watching tv but I can’t really use this Philips unit because it’s rather loud. I think the Braun was quieter but I don’t have the decibels to compare with. The results of the Philips is great just as the Braun is too. The unit is for wet and dry shaving but don’t be fooled by thinking that it can be immersed in water because it cannot, in fact I would not put it anywhere near running water and I always dry shave anyway. I think your skin can be wet and you are able to shave it with a glide gel or foam but then to remove the attachment and rinse that under the tap would be the best way to wash it afterwards. The unit comes with a carry pouch that is splash proof and just about fits everything in, and this fastens with a drawstring. When the battery is getting low an indicator light will blink to let you know. I have not used the pedicure attachment yet. I’ve used all the other attachments though and I’m getting good results. There’s a cover for the epilator that makes it easier to epilate the face. I have epilated for years now and don’t feel any pain from epilating so I cannot tell you if these help with that. The timer attachment has a comb fixture you can add to it that I use to trim my eyebrows without making them too short. The trimmer is working well around the bikini line and is good for shaving the hair on the back of my neck too. The unit has a very bright light on it that lights up the area of skin you’re working on, I find this rather helpful because I usually need to use my reading lamp for a bigger viewing area. On a full charge I have already done my legs and face 4 times and it still seems to be good. I feel that over the years the manufacturer has improved the units allowing us to have essential grooming with the use of just one unit which is a good thing. If I could change anything at all with this unit I would change the buzzing noise because this is a bit loud which is so much worse when working around the face. Other than that I really like this unit and would highly recommend it. I will be using this for a long time to come but if I would need to replace the unit any time in the future I would go with Philips.

I really love this epilator. It glides over my skin and gently removes all my unwanted hair. You don’t need to keep going over the same area to pick up hairs you have missed, because it catches them first time. I’m surprised how much more comfortable it is compared to my current epilator when removing the hair.

It’s great that it comes with different attachments so you can use it as a shaver and to trim the hair. I normally like to use it when my skin is dry, but it’s good that you’ve got the option to use it in the shower if you haven’t had time to epilate the night before.

One of my favourite features is the body exfoliation head which I use in the shower before applying my fake tan. This product is so useful and it’s light weight too so your arm doesn’t get tired whilst using it. I can’t fault this product and I now no longer use my old epilator, as it’s just not up to par compared to this one.

It’s been a long time since I used any epilator! Since then I have just easily shaved my legs! The reason I stopped using my last epilator was the pain of course! But I was also sick of shaving my legs as recently my legs started to look bad and full of under skin hairs!
So With lots of hesitation I gave this epilator another try! And I can say it is much better than the old ones! Still a bit painful but really less than the old ones. I loved the idea of having a lamp in front to not loose any hair!
I use the small head for my forehead and lips and the big head for legs!
Another thing I really liked about it is that it is cordless! Which is really handy and helpful! You easily charge it and take it anywhere you want to use! For example our bathroom has no plugins so having something cordless is really handy for us!
You can easily change the heads to Shaving head, trimming head , body exfoliation brush, and pedicure foot file!
The package also comes with a small bag and a brush for cleaning!
In general, you can never expect an epilator to be absolutely painless! But having an efficient epilator can really decrease the time duration of the pain which with this epilator you can really get that! I easily finished my legs in 5 min.

I have been using this Epilator for over a month now and have found it a game changer in comparison to waxing (and other hair removal alternatives). Over-time, it’s super economical, and in the grand scheme of things I have already saved a good amount of money from saved trips to my beauty salon. I haven’t encountered any ingrown hairs because of use either, and overall, I am so glad I made the switch. Had to get one for my mum (who ironically waxes by trade). She made the switch too ;).

I typically turn to waxing to tame those wild fast growing hairs but found that this gets quite expensive. Using the Philips series 8000 Epilator, I was incredibly blown away (despite being initially sceptical). This device is so easy to use and serves multiple purposes, from removing hairs to exfoliating skin. I would say that my one concern with the exfoliator head was the time consuming aspect, though if you don’t mind this you will certainly reap the benefits! 🙂

I found that when using this product, it was best (for when epilating) to use at 90 degrees angle. Furthermore, this was surprisingly a somewhat painless experience, and a similar sensation to that of shaving. I also found that using this on wet skin (rather than dry) was a lot more effective. The epilator itself is incredibly easy to hold and use thanks to its ergonomic shape and also features great gripping material for a more precise and controlled experience.

Overall, very satisfied with my experience with this epilator and all it’s other changeable heads. Would recommend and you would save a fortune using this instead of waxing, hence the price tag is justified! 🙂

When I ordered this epilator, I knew it would be a high standard hair removal product, being that it’s made by Philips and their electrical items are usually spot on, but I didn’t realise how many uses this epilator would have.

Firstly, the handle is comfortable to hold and not bulky like my old epilator. It has a powerful light so you know where you are removing hair and can see any little hairs easily.

It has multiple heads for different tasks; I can use the shaving head instead of epilating, there is a thinner trimming head for bikini line, a small head for sensitive skin like facial and underarm hair, a foot file for smoother heels or to get rid of rough skin gently and an exfoliating brush for all-over smooth skin. You also get shaving and trimming guard combs so that you can trim instead of clean shave.

The design and ease of use is fantastic. It has so many uses meaning I need fewer products. I love that it can be used wet or dry. It charges quickly and easily. It’s also important to note that this is the least painful epilator I’ve used too!

I’ve got to be honest I’m not the biggest fan of epilators – they hurt – but if you’re braver than me then you’ll love this as it does what it’s meant to do – it removes leg hairs quickly! The epilator head lights up when in use which is a great guide for seeing where you have and haven’t epilated. Compared to the last time I used an epilator this Phillips is a lot more comfortable but I can’t pretend it was a completely painless experience! Although I will say for removing hair and keeping it gone longer an epilator is definitely the way to go and to be fair the more you use it the more you get used to the feeling! However, it’s the attachments I liked the most!! The exfoliator and foot file attachments are AMAZING, they can be used wet or dry and really do the job as the rotating head is so powerful! I should say be prepared – it really does remove dry skin!! In all there’s 9 different accessories. As well as legs it can also be used for bikini line, facial hair, arms and underarms – each attachment can be easily changed or fitted in under a minute. The epilator has a fast charge function, the charging lead is quite short but it is designed for cordless use when fully charged. I had continuous use for at least 30 minutes with no sign of the battery draining – there’s a low battery warning light for when it needs recharging.
Comes with instruction leaflets, which are easy to follow. If you’re an epilator pro – you won’t be disappointed with this, if it’s your first time using an epilator grit your teeth and go for it – you can always switch to the ‘pamper mode’ later!
