Goodbye adapter. Hello USB.
Power adapters may seem small, but added together, their plastic makes a huge impact on the environment. By switching to a USB charger in our Philips Sonicare 1000-4000 Series alone, we use up to 189,210 kg less plastic every year. That’s powerful, right?

Upgraded my old one. This is much lighter, slimmer so easier to hold.
Pressure sensor is great, makes a louder noise so your not pressing too hard on teeth & gums.
Switched from Oral B to Sonic after my last vist to my hygenist. This time she report no plaque so pleased I changed.
Nice brush head which is far cheaper to repalce that teh Oral B Io I was using too.
Great toothbrush much lighter and easier to hold than previous version which is great .
Very sturdy and powerful brush. Best one I have owned.
I’ve bought sonicare for the last 20 years. My teeth just don’t feel clean without one.
This one is a basic model but perfect for me and nice and light weight for travel too.
I bought this toothbrush as an item of self care and an investment into my teeth for the next couple of years. I have so far been impressed with this toothbrush, whilst the recommended brushing technique takes a while to get used to the timer assists in covering all bases.
I got one of these for me and the wife. They hold there charge quite well and they kept my teeth really minty for ages after using them. My mouth never felt this fresh with the old oralB ones we used to have. I am even going to buy one of these for my child. Really good
The toothbrush comes with a USB plug. What us is that? My toothbrush lives in the bathroom, not with my computer. The instructions say you can get a twin plug for the shaver socket, but what it doesn’t say is this comes at an extra cost.
There is only one function, but it is adequate. It is very light weight and has a nice frosted feel. Charging is a little slow and it takes a day to fully charge from a completely dead battery.
Great price as it included his and hers toothbrushes, standard heads do not fit , need to order the correct heads but can get cheaper versions also
MY DENTIST RECOMMENDED A PHILIPS SONICARE BRUSH SERIES 3. THIS HAS 30,000 MOVEMENTS A MINUTE. THATS 500 A SECOND! SHE SAID ANYONE OF THEM, EVEN THE 40 WOULD DO THE JOB. SO I ORDERED THE 40, THAT WAS HERE <24HRS WITH PRIME. ITS AMAZING. INDEED, AFTER THE 2 MINUTE TIMER, SO IT SWITCHES OFF......MY MOUTH FELT ZINGY! TIMERS EXCELLENT. I CANT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH.
On my last dental appointment my dentist advised I should buy a sonic toothbrush to take my dental care to the next level, and boy was he right! My teeth feel super clean and stay that way for the whole day. The first few times I used it, it felt a bit weird but I soon got used to it. My partner also loves how clean and fresh his teeth feel now compared to using a regular toothbrush. 10/10 would recommend.
Easier to use than previous model I had. Toothpaste does fly everywhere if you take it out of your mouth without switching the brush off which is a bit irritating if you need to spit out. Otherwise it’s good.
The user manual is incomprehensible. It’s just a bunch of cartoon-like pictures, without any accompanying text. I couldn’t figure out how long it takes to charge, or how to know when it has been charging for long enough.
It’s extremely good because it lets you know when it needs charging
Been using Philips sonic for about 7 years now and pretty decent toothbrush. Only negative is that the metal stem gives away after about 1-2 years and Philips May fix/replace as they’ve done with my diamond clean one.
Bought this as recomended by my dentist, took a little getting used to but after a couple of weeks has become second nature.
If you don’t want to shell out for the top of the range models this is MORE than adequate. I’d say they last four or five years before they pack up which is pretty good given they are used at least twice a day.
Lovely little toothbrush. Slimmer and much lighter than my older model. Good value if you need 2 as this makes them a lot cheaper!
If you brush too hard it will alert you with a vibration, which is great.
Charger is a USB connector, which is quite handy (you can get adapters for shaver sockets if you want to charge in the bathroom).
The only shame is that the heads don’t come in the pink colour to match it!!!
I have had Sony toothbrushes for years and they always do a very complete and thorough job. This was no exception. However, I didn’t read the fine print so didn’t realise it was pink (no matter). The other thing was that it comes with a base that connects to a UBS port and not to the standard outlet in my bathroom. If you want an adapter you can contact them and order one, but it does cost about fifteen pounds. Other than that it works just great.
Arrived quickly exactly as described and do and excellent job. Fairly quiet when in use also.
Works well and cleans much better than a manual. Wife and the kids use it and they are all pleased with it.
However, I’m not a fan. As this is a sonic it uses micro vibrations to clean the teeth. I personally found this very annoying as it tickled my lips. It was so annoying for me I have since bought a spinny head one just for me.
If you don’t mind tickly lips while brushing then this will do just fine.
This is replacement for my old Phillips which just broke and a lot lighter than old one, this is my fourth Phillips which like but not very long lasting, so we will see how long this go fo
Brilliant toothbrush. It’s worth buying the better heads than the one that came with this one though. ( I got the C3 ones and they’re the best for me!)
This. Really cleans your teeth, what a difference from my other one. Definitely recommend. My husband also bought one and is very happy with its performance.
Got this toothbrush on special offer – great saving. Easy to use. Charge lasts longer than past sonic toothbrushes. Quick to charge up! Cleans teeth well.
I had a multi function Diamond Clean Philips, which did not last very long. I did not use any of the range of settings (remind you of a complicated Microwave?), so that extra spend was wasted. When my Diamond Clean expired (prematurely!), I decided that simple was maybe better? (Not to mention cheaper!). Product works well, cleans just as well, and was half the price, (for two). No brainer really!
We have had a number of Sonicare toothbrushes and this one is the lightest but also has by far the shortest battery life. It still last 5-7 days, but the older models all did 2 weeks easily.
Using the Sonicare toothbrush for a few weeks now, and I’m pleaseed with how well it works.
Previously, I had been using an Oral B toothbrush in a circular motion, which always made a mess and felt harsh on my teeth.
I find easier to control and can reach all areas of my teeth without making a mess. The vibration technology is gentle but effective at cleaning, and my teeth feel as clean as they did with my old toothbrush.
One thing I like with Sonicare toothbrush is its USB charging capability. This is a great bonus for when travelling, as I can charge the toothbrush easily with my laptop or power bank. It’s so convenient not to have to lug around extra cables
One negative point I’ve found is that the toothbrush head is in white and doesn’t match the black body of the toothbrush. This seems like a really stupid design feature and detracts from the overall aesthetic of the product.
Despite this minor flaw, I would still highly recommend the Sonicare toothbrush to anyone looking for a high-quality toothbrush that can provide efficient and effective oral care. Its vibration technology, ease of use, and USB charging capability make it a standout product in my opinion.
Excellent pair of electric toothbrushes for an amazing price! I have now had the toothbrushes for approximately 3 months and am so happy with them, as is my husband. The colours are great – no mixing our brushes up anymore as they are distinctly different colours. They clean the teeth gently but very effectively and efficiently. We have both noticed that our teeth feel cleaner and are brighter than with our previous electric toothbrushes. You can purchase genuine heads at good prices. The heads last well and I only changed at the 3 month mark because of hygiene reasons but the brush still looked like it had lots of life left in it. The pressure sensor is a useful feature but I don’t generally trigger it because it is easy to brush at the correct pressure. The toothbrush charge lasts approximately one month using the toothbrush twice a day which is amazing! My last toothbrush needed charging every few days so I am really impressed by how little it needs charging. There is a 30 second timer to brush each section of your mouth and after you have cleaned all 4 quarters, it turns itself off. Easy to hold, not too big, not too small, lightweight and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The small plastic caps that go over each toothbrush head to protect it when not in use is also a very handy feature. The only thing I haven’t checked out is whether you can get a fitted travel protector case but even if you cannot purchase these separately, you can store it easily in your washbag with the small protective plastic head to keep the toothbrush head clean and dry. Highly recommend and the double pack was a bargain price for the quality and efficiency of the product.
I’ve had Philips Sonicare toothbrushes for as long as I remember, and have always been pleased with them, although have to admit, I purchase the more expensive ones in the range. I tend to go away a lot – my new partner lives eighty six miles away, and I wanted to leave a toothbrush at his house, but didn’t want to keep taking my existing Sonicare one. I firstly purchased another well known brand. It was on special offer – the brand where the head has a circular motion. I used it for a couple of months, but I just didn’t like the circular brushing action, and my teeth never felt as clean, hence the purchase of this Philips one. It’s pretty bog-standard, no frills, and is lighter than my expensive one. It doesn’t feel as substantial – but …. it’s good to be back to the Philips way of brushing, and I much prefer it to the other brand I purchased. I have to say that my teeth feel cleaner after using this one than the other brand, and at this moment I have no complaints with this cheaper model.
My mum has sensitive teeth… she often used a normal toothbrush but the dentist has advised otherwise due to other issues as she’s getting older.
We tried her on one of the other leading brands but she just couldn’t get along with it as it was causing more irritation, sometimes causing gums to bleed, and the sensitive tooth was getting worse.
This toothbrush dropped in price – now granted it is basic… it has one setting and a pressure sensor – what more do you need… i must admit I have a fancy one and the different settings don’t do much.
This does have softer bristles and it vibrates instead of rotating… I’ve told my mum to lightly glide over the teeth as though you are softly massaging them — no need to brush or press hard — BUT for best results you really need to do the full recommended 2mins (with any brush you should)
Compared to the other leading brand – this is quieter, softer, and she’s no longer getting gum bleeding and her sensitive tooth wasn’t as bad after the first brush — it’s still early days but its a good sign.
it comes with a travel case – the downside is that you cant charge whilst in the case … but that’s to be expected for the price.
The batter is supposed to last 14days – i’d say just over a week…and whilst it does have a USB charging dock there is no wall adapter and charging does take a really long time (but again, at the discount price I really don’t mind)
Theres no need to include a wall adapter when you have computers, wall sockets now with USB, and most people have plenty of USB plugs that came with phones — it saves on waste.
The fact that it’s USB also means no need for a shave plug socket or adapter either.
